[Q] Stock List Samsung Firmware

HTML:
http://samsung-firmware.webs.com/samsungi9000.htm
) which ones are official European stock firmwares and App Market will work flawless with them without applying Eris Market Fix ?
Your answer is much appreciated !
I hope I got your question right.
The firmware of my phone is I9000XXJF3.
I bought mine in a local store in Germany and didn't consciously do any ROM upgrade yet.
Market works fine for me, didn't do any fixes/patches other then those I got from market.
Yes you got it right. Thanks !
I'm wondering if I9000XWJG5 is an official one in which App market will run flawless without any fix ?

[Q] OS Update Help T-Mobile Tab

I have a Samsung 7” tablet that was purchased from T-Mobile. I have contacted both Samsung and T-Mobile to try to get an updated OS for this device, but can not get anything from either one. I get pushed off from one to the other saying it is up to the other to provide a software update. There are other users on T-Mobiles site that have the same issue and anything I could find out I will gladly pass on to help them also. There are some features on the new OS that I and others would like to have installed. Can someone please help! I use this device for my business on a daily basis and any help would be greatly appreciated. The device information is listed below.
Samsung 7” Galaxy Tab
Model: SGH-T849
Firmware: 2.2
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build Number: FROYO.UVJJB
Carrier: T-Mobile
Can someone let me know the following questions:
1. What is the most current OS that can be installed on my tablet?
2. Where can I find the software and directions to install it?
3. Is there any known issues that need to be addressed after the software is installed.
4. Is there a modem driver that needs to be installed in order for the data package to work?
Thank you for your time and look forward to a reply.

David,
As of now, the highest OFFICIAL TMobile USA firmware is 2.2 (Froyo). There have been other official firmware released for other regions that are 2.3.3 (Gingerbread). These are updates for the GT-P1000 (International Version) rather than for the T-849 (TMobile USA Version). They are in essence the same device as I understand it with support for different wireless bands (ie. different antennas; this would be taken care of by modem firmware which can be flashed independently).
There are numerous roms available if you have a rooted Tab. Obviously stay away from any that are built for Sprint or Verizon. Overcome makes a solid rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1317384) but if you are going after the stock experience I would suggest http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073854 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312329. Full instructions on how to download and install can be found on the linked pages. If you are using the Tab on the Tmobile network, I would always stick with the TMobile modem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069727).
Hope this helps.
Thank You,
I appreciate your response to a long drawn out issue I have been fighting with. I understand T-Mobiles firmware issues and at this point T-Mobile or Samsung are not going to release an update for this device. I have a few questions I would like to ask if you wouldn’t mind. I am new at this whole process and want to make a quality decision.
1. Is there any advantage or additional features added to the Overcome version of the OS verses the other two? I am looking for a straight forward installation without a lot of issues and some gained performance.
2. Is there any advantages of going with one of the other two stock ROMs?
3. Is Overcome ROM a newer version than the other two versions posted?
On another note I have a couple of questions you may be able to answer if you do not mind.
1. Is there any way of getting the layered applications feature from the Honeycomb OS on the Gingerbread OS?
2. Is there a browser that will allow for the websites to be displayed in Full or Desktop mode on the Gingerbread OS?
3. Do you know if there will be any builds coming out that this tablet may support? Such as Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich? I know there are some hardware requirements that may need to be addressed.
Thank you again for your time and help!

Region Issues?

I have 8.9 Wifi Tab with flashed stock firmware (3.2).
I live in the UK and want to be able to use UK only apps such as BBC iPlayer and ITV Player etc..
They don't show up when searching for them in the market app but when i find them online using google it says they are incompatiable with my device, although the requirements are Adobe Air(installed) and HC 2.2+ which I obviously meet.. the only thing I can think it is is the region of the firmware on my device? It was a US device originally and the stock firmware I used also shows as US region.. is this something I can just change and reflash or what?
thanks,
Michael

You can flash European firmware, but I'm not sure if you will see uk apps then.

[Q] Sprint P100 to UK tab?

Hi there.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab P100 Sprint. I live in the UK and want to possibly flash a rom that will convert this for UK use? At the moment the market and everything is in american (obviously because this is a Sprint tab).
I've seen guides from Sprint to ICS. But I imagine this will this be exactly the same (american wise).
I'm currently on stock Gingerbread - Ideally I want a a clean gingerbread/ICS ROM with UK market.
Could I possibly update to Sprint ICS and use Titanium Backup to remove all the Sprint Bloatware?
Any guides or help/info would be appreciated.
Thank you.
