samsung galaxy - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

:crying:I'm facing some problems with my duos s7562 when using 3G connection. that is when I set the 1st SIM card to 3G (or auto) for a while it works then for no reason I'm unable to make any calls from the outher SIM and also if people try to call me the phone seems off. The signal indicator always shows good signal.
Already tried to exchange SIM cards between slots and nothing...
This means that I can only use both SIM cards in GSM mode which sucks. does this anyone else has this problem? or any hints?

[Q] Galaxy S I9000 - No Network Signal

Am facing a weird problem on my Galaxy S I9000. Some days before, I went out of my Carrier Hot Zone, i.e. on Roaming and lost network signals for the entire stay of my roaming period.
I have inserted the sim card in another phone and it worked fine. But on my Galaxy S, now, even in the hot zone, i.e. my local network does not show me any signal strength except emergency calls. Again, sim card works fine in another phone.
Now my Galaxy S won't accept any sim card and shows no network signal. I have tried flashing different ROM's and Modems with no luck.
Any solution to this? Thanks in advance.
Hmm,
Are you sure that Airplane Mode is not active ?
I have the same problem, after a root my i 9000 y lost signal from my carrier. i have tried dierents roms and modem with no good results. any help? i appreciate... thanks
Try flashing another modem

Signal issues

Help.I have a galaxy note original.I'm running cm10.2 . every now and again the phone loses network.I have tried applying the tape trick.it hasn't worked.what I have been doing lately is whenever the phone drops network signal I activate airplane mode and off again then I get signal.it doesn't always work. Clearly this has nothing to do with sim card or contacts of the aim and device.I'm suspecting that it could be a modem issue.is it possible to flash an area specific or country specific modem?if yea, where can I find one that will play nicely with the 10.2 ROM ? Help

Galaxy Tab - No SIM detected

I am trying to get the 3G working on my Galaxy Tab.
I have tried this SIM unlock - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843323, even though it seemed successful it still does not appear that it recognizes the SIM.
I re-stocked the device back to Overcome and the device still will not work with the SIM. I have tried setting the APN when JB was installed however that still did not work, the APN did not save.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this going?
Cheers!

You have the separate the issue logically.
Is the SIM working, it is found, it found the network, has signal, can make calls and receive call. Can SMS and receive SMS, no 3G but has edge?
If that is the issue, no amount of unlocking will help. APN will help probably.
So what is your problem again?

1. SIM is working - tried in my Galaxy Nexus and found a signal.
2. SIM was bought from a store - pre-paid.
3. See 1. (network & signal)
4. See 1. (make/receive calls)
5. See 1. (send/receive SMS).
6. SIM gave 3G network coverage
The Galaxy Tab simply says "no SIM found" however reboots when adding/removing SIM (with gingerbread 2.3, Overcome 4)
I should have rephrased.
When i said SIM working, i wasn't talking about the SIM. I should have said is the SIM working in the tab. Then the rest of the question also about in the tab.
Ok. Not detected. No point trying apn.

If it makes any difference I have used a SIM in the tablet before, it was a while ago and it was before I wiped back to Overcome 4. Back when I was using ICS/JB [not sure which].
So the tab is definitely capable of SIM usage.
Anyone have any idea? Would really appreciate it.

How did you get the SIM unlocked in the first place?

This is probably because T-mob covers only particular places the frequencies this phone uses http://theunlockr.com/2013/07/05/htc-one-sprint-specs/ vs t-mob https://t-mobile.jive-mobile.com/#jive-document?content=/api/core/v2/documents/4988

Is there any solution for this problem ?
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem ? (different rom or radio...etc..) Or I have to give up the phone... Cause it is too much headache to "searching for network" all the time and miss all the call with no service on the phone without knowing..
Thanks

well, I am not an expert on the tmobiles network, but going by what lazybozz, said, I seem to remember tmobile using different bands than the other carriers, so what you may be experiencing, is the phone being in the vicinity of multiple towers, but not all of them are within the band that the phone supports. So its like the phone doesnt even see those towers. On a side note, this issue caused alot of chaos for those who unlocked iphones about 3 years ago, they could use EDGE on tmobiles network but not 3G, so i assume this is a similar situation. So long story short, yeah you probably cant fix the problem, unless you get a quad band phone. I could be wrong, but it does sound like a logical reason for the issue you are having.
as elvisypi said above, Its the freq that T-mobile operates on in that area. If your getting T-mobile at all in the states then you have already flashed a radio. However flashing any other radio is not going to give you the freq that tmobile uses, Its not a software limitation its a physical hardware limitation.
Thanks for your reply, do you know any app out there that monitor and alarm you when the network or signal is lost ? That works with 4.3 ?That way at least you know the phone is offline ... some of the apps I tried is anything at all ...
Thanks
Have you tried an app like tasker? Its essentially an automation app. It isnt jist for your use. Its for many different functions. Jist look on the app store for tasker. That might help

[RROS v5.8.5] Che2-L11 Kirin 620 - Sim Cards not detecting!

So basically I have a phone purchased from UAE which I brought to India. I am using Jio 4G and BSNL 2G in SIM 1 and 2. So here's what happens:
When I have Jio in slot 1 and BSNL in slot 2: No sims are detected
When I have ONLY Jio in slot 1 or 2: It detects it in both the slots
I also keep getting these Mobile Broadcast messages (even when I disabled every single one of them in the settings). I cannot read them because they're in a different language. THIS IS CAUSING A MAJOR SPAM ISSUE.
PICS: https://imgur.com/a/drkox
What should I do to get the SIM cards to work? I believe this is an issue of region locking or registration or something like that.
Thanks.
Sim card needs to be able to support 4G or it won't work. But you don't need to have 4G connection, just sim that's capable for it. I believe that's the problem.

It does. I have a Jio 4G sim in it. Also, I keep getting Mobile Broadcast messages with the location of the cell tower and some in an unknown language.

Both sim cards need to be able to support 4G. I don't know about those messages, I've never had any.

Have you tried to swap your BSNL sim to 4G capable sim like I suggested. At the moment that's probably only solution, until you have confirmed it doesn't fix it or that your BSNL sim already is 4G capable.

I don't even want the BSNL sim in that phone anymore. I just wanna use Jio 4G without the annoying mobile broadcast. Please find the screenshots on the main post.

Check Messaging->Settings->Advanced->Wireless Alerts->Settings Maybe you can disable them there.
