Looking for a thin and light case - Nexus 7 Accessories

I'm looking for a case with the following properties but can't see to find one:
1.) Folio style - i.e. Something like the Blurex or Incipio Leather case. MUST be lightweight enough and minimize bulk so that it can still fit in a pants front pocket.
2.) Glass on front is totally unobscured. Blurex or Incipio has this as well.
3.) An elastic band attached not to the cover half, but rather to the half to which the tablet is secured. This way, the elastic band can be used to keep the cover secured when not in use, and can ALSO be used to keep the cover folded back when in use. The Blurex and Incipio can't do the latter because the elastic band is attached to the cover itself. When closed, it wraps around the back to keep it secure, but can't be used to secure the cover when open because it would cover the screen.
4.) Auto wake/sleep magnet.
5.) Some kind of stand mechanism would be nice, but is not essential.
Does anything out there fit the bill?

How about the MoKo case? [Amazon]

Looks just like the Blurex case. Nice, but the elastic band is on the wrong side. If you want to use it to keep the cover open you either cover part of the screen or loop it awkwardly around the clasp to avoid covering the screen.
I have a marware kindle touch case that has the elastic band attached to the other side (the same side that holds the device). You wrap it over the front to keep it closed and wrap it over the back to keep it open. Very simple. Frustrating that I can't find a nexus 7 case with the same mechanism.

Body Glove Entrepreneur snap on case - review

When I got my Flipside there were not many options for snap on cases. Actually, the only one I could find was the Body Glove Entrepreneur snap on case. I got mine from eBay for $10.95, including shipping.
It has excellent fit and does not add much bulk to the phone. I feel that the phone is easier to handle with the case on.
The Flipside's camera protrudes from the back of the phone slightly. That means that without the case the phone never laid flat when placed on a table. With the case on the phone will lay flat and the camera is protected.
The back surface of the case has a raised pattern on it that keeps it from being slippery. The case does not pick up lint the way that silicon of soft rubber cases often do.
The case just snaps on the phone, but it is very secure. It is easiest to remove the case if you open the keyboard first.

Good to know. I've always resisted getting cases for my phones for this very reason. Pulling out your awesome new phone only have pocket lint stuck all over it makes anyone look like a rookie...

Minisuit Slim Case w/ Smart Cover and Stand functionality

I didn't see the Minisuit Slim Case mentioned anywhere in this forum, so I thought I'd share. It's exactly what I wanted in a case for this tablet, hopefully it lives up to expectations! Ordered today, will share thoughts when it arrives.

This case definitely looks awesome. Will wait on the cheap case I bought to see how it is. If it doesn't suit me I'll def buy this one!
its exactly the same as every other rotating case for the N7 going by the shopped pictures (notice how the flap is magically narrower in the portrait pic?).
anyway, i've got one of the other cases with the exact same design. its a good case, quite sturdy and durable. lacks magnetic locking but it has that elastic thingo to hold it shut. its a two piece case - you can use it with the outer flap case if you're watching movies or needing a stand, or you can detach the inner from the outer for more portable use (ie. gaming, web browsing, etc.).

My ideal Flip/Wallet type case

Wondering if anyone has come across anything like this.
1-Should offer full protection on all sides (top, bottom, all corners, etc).
2-The part that holds the phone in place should be TPU or Silicone (preferably TPU) for purposes of shock absorption
3-Preferable if the closure is NOT magnetic
4-The inner lining should be some sort of soft material (like microfiber) so as to NOT scratch the screen when the case is closed.
5-There should be a "stand" mechanism built into the case.
Alot of cases out there come close (the Incipio LGND comes to mind) but fail because of one thing or another.
Anyone had any luck finding something like the above?
Not sure if its quite what your looking for but you can get these for about $10 on ebay..

Best Galaxy Note II Flip Cover Case?

I just got my Galaxy Note II and I did not like the Samsung OEM Flip Case it came with. I feel like it only protects the screen if the phone ever drops, and if it happens to hit any of the four corners in a drop, the phone would be done for. I've been looking into wallet cases, but most of them are magnetic and seem to interfere with the S-Pen. Does anyone know of a good flip case that snaps onto the device itself, similar to this one?

I would advise you look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968655
Magnetic catch on flip cases
I recently bought a Zenus case which I like a lot. The only thing I am not keen on is the press stud on the front so that whenever you close it you are pressing a bit on the glass. The Zenus case I got a long time ago for my original Galaxy Tab has a magnetic closure and this is really good. However, I am confused about whether magnetic catches badly affect the S-pen usage. Some reviews mark down cases because a magnetic closure interferes with the S-pen. Is this true of all cases with magnetic closures? Are there any flip cases with magnetic closures that do not affect S-pen use?

i just ordered one of those. it has a full tpu case on the phone plus a multipurpose leather flap attached to it that allows it to act as either a vertical or horizontal stand. it also fixes the thing i hate the most about flip covers - camera use. with most flip covers, the flap just feels flimsy, dangles everywhere and gets annoying. with this one, you can fold the flap back, and fold down a portion of the leather to stop it from obstructing the camera. quite useful.
the black and brown flap versions have a dark brown-ish semitransparent tpu case. the other colours all have a transparent tpu case.
it also has a magnetic lock on it as well.

iPulse Genuine Full Grain Leather Case Review

iPulse Journal Series Leather Wallet Case for the Galaxy Note 8
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074Z5TMY9
This is the first wallet-type case I've used with the Note 8 and it seems have everything I would want in a leather wallet case. It's smooth good quality leather, no jagged edges, multiple inner pockets, and straight matching black stitches.
Most importantly, it has a strong magnetic clasp, which is one issue I have with the wallet cases Samsung usually offers. While leather wallet cases aren't designed for maximum drop protection, having a strong magnetic clasp will prevent the phone itself from hitting the pavement. There's a gratifying snap when you close the cover and the flap won't separate unless you pull it with force.
A plus in my book is that the phone is kept in place with a soft TPU case attached to the leather. Some manufacturers like Samsung choose to use a polycarbonate case-like portion to hold the phone in place but the bottom and top of the phone is usually exposed to the elements. I had no issues inserting and removing the Note 8 from the TPU portion and it holds the phone securely. Phone port cutouts are where they are supposed to be, but be advised that the TPU does not cover the power, Bixbie, or volume rocker, which means the already shallow buttons are more difficult to press.
The brand logo is out of the way and is on the bottom left of the backside. It has a clean design on the front with no lettering. One thing I would have liked to see is an earpiece opening on the front of the leather cover so I could talk on the phone with the cover closed, but flipping the cover behind the phone is not too much of a burden. This choice also gives the front cover a cleaner look, like a leather journal would have.
I would recommend this case if you're looking for a simple and clean-looking genuine leather wallet case for your Note 8.
Mine need to push the magnetic piece where it connected to your phone away from the phone, so it wont affect S-PEN
how about yours

Is the magnetism strong enough to keep the case closed?
