(In case anyone cares) touchwiz ux launcher installed and worked - Nexus 7 General

I got the touchwiz ux launcher (phone) to install and work. It looks ridiculous cuz its the phone version but it means the Samsung tab launcher should install with the tw.lib files. I'll try to get the tab version.

Nice, let us know how you get on with the tab version. Would love to get the Multi Window app working.

Touchwiz on a nexus?
Eurgh!

Other than for the kick off it.. Why would anyone want to use TouchWiz on a Nexus 7... for that matter any nexus device?
But good going though.. Albeit for the kick of knowing we can do what we want to with our Nexii.. cheers

(Request) landscape ics launcher

Could someone enable landscape support in the new ics launcher? The early sdk builds supported it but all the aosp build do not have it. Why google wouldn't enable this from the get go is beyond me.

Give this a try, it's the launcher from aosp's ICS build for the 4G, it has landscape enabled maybe it will work for you.

Good try but that didn't work either. This one installed fine but landscape is a no go.
I think I'm going to be stuck using launcher pro. I was so hoping google would get it right.

I just updated to the newest version back in Feb I think it was on a GB based rom, then made a titanium backup of the app, not the installer just the app. Flash any ROM you wan and then re-install via TB done it a dozen times and swype works perfectly every time, hope this helps!
I just downloaded from the site and it worked fine, no modding

OK, after you download it, just install with package installer then add it from settings. If you push it to system/app it seems to act up..at least it was for me. Enjoy!

I hadn't used Swype in a long time, since I bought swiftkey. This themed Swype is pretty slick - I'd love to see better predictive text implemented into it.

[29/04/2012] Sense 4 Launcher v2

I finally after hours of work i have managed to port a Sense 4 Style Launcher to our Xoom this may not be everyone's cup of tea but i hope you like
V2 is slightly different and now has a new looking menu system. if you dont like this use V1. i have also made a few changes to the resizing just to smarten things up a little more
See pics below and remember if you like please say thanks
Special thanks to
ra3al for the APK Xperia Base from Xperia
Yngwie for the help in porting the features and resizing
Looks nice can't wait to try it

Im pretty sure its 160 the standard DPI
Is this specifically made for tablets? I used 160 dpi and its to large, I went down and used 120 which seems really close but still off.
There is another one for 190 dpi which fits, but has some transition lag.
This as far as I could tell was super smooth even though it did not work properly on my device, droid incredible. Regular dpi 240.

Sorry this is specifically rebuilt for the Xoom and would need to be modded for other devices
If you send me a screenshot I can try to edit to fit your device

ADW updated!!!!

Just what the title says. IMO its smoother then Apex and Nova. I really haven't had time to play with it but so far so good. Wish this update was available when I was stuck on HC.

We had to wait a long long time for getting an update.....
But at least it was worth the waiting.
Had to fix screen size and some other settings after new update. It was a pain, don't really notice anything new while running on stock ICS

After playing with it a bit I stuck with Apex. I think this is a bigger draw to HC and GB devices.

Was quite happy using adw ex launcher. There is a bug though. When u add a folder on the home screen, initially you could edit the folder to change the icon or rename the folder. It doesn't work anymore. Any idea people.

No longer able to use the launcher actions along with minimalist text, I used this set up to switch between screens. Have emailed the dev and still waiting on an answer.

After trying EVERY other launcher including paid ones, none come close to Go EX...

I don't know if you two have tried the touchwiz ROM...maybe these features are in there? if not then someone can answer that
I'm interested in the smart screen and smart rotate capability if it's possible
That ROM looks like it has certain aspects of the TW base, however things like the multi-view are very heavily integrated into TW framework. Its very difficult to port it over to an already exsisting TW ROM let alone an AOSP base. Dont quote me but I think if it were possible at all it would have to be a complete port of the GN II ROM. I do know there alternative apps out there which simulate these features although I cant name them off the top of my head.
There is cornerstone but development seems to have ceased.
