[FINAL][ROM][ICS 4.0.4][7510][UELPL] - Infamous Tab v3.0 - 3.17.2013 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android Development

I've sold my 7510 to a friend in need, and as such can no longer maintain this ROM...happy to answer questions as needed though for users still running it (if any).

Welcome to Infamous Tab 3.0!
- Based on UELPL (official US version)
- CM9 Android keyboard with adjustable vibration and volume keys to move corser
- deodexed
- zipaligned
- init.d supported
- rooted of course
- Superuser
- insecure kernel
- build.prop tweaked
- SD Card speed tweak
- Busybox

- 1% battery mod
- V6 Supercharger Script! Thanks to zepplinrox! Read here
- Also included the scripts under /system/xbin/scripts so you can modify to your preference:
* Die-Hard_Battery_Calibrator_RC5 (because stock the battery isn't read correctly)
* KickAssKernelizer_Tweaks_Installer_Update_3_RC8
* V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC9_Test_17
- Modded Skype! Credit to theos0o!! Visit his thread for apk download if needed.)
- Ported Asus Supernote! Credit to b00sted for this fantastic set of links!)
- HIDE CLOCK ON STATUS BAR feature. Only TW based ROM offering this currently. Check out Settings > Date and Time for the new toggles!
- GooManager Ready! (from v2.2 onward - future updates will be pushed OTA )
- Quick Panel lightly themed, darker and slicker looking now, IMO
- LONG PRESS BACK TO KILL APP! Another first to Galaxy Tab 10.1 TW based ROM offerings! AOKP style app kill mod ported from GNote for GTab10.1. In any application, simply longpress the back button to destroy the app. USE THIS FEATURE OFTEN TO FURTHER CONSERVE BATTERY AND FREE UP RAM ON YOUR DEVICE.
CHANGES IN 3.0:
- Merged Mackay 1.3 Kernel - BIG thanks to XDA Recognized Developer and Team Infamous contributor kasper_h for his work on this awesome kernel! OC support to 1.6 GHz, lots of custom governors to choose from, amazing deep sleep, brickbug safe. Check out the official Mackay 1.3 thread here for more details!
- Added latest Nova Launcher. Highly recommended...keep reading, there are other benefits to using it if you don't today!
- Added new default wallpaper, optimized for use with Nova Launcher. Enable Nova on initial boot and it will size itself to add more badass. Yes, more badass.
- A couple of app updates (ROM Toolbox etc.)
- Further tweaks for more effortless scrolling and touchscreen response!
- BAKED IN V6 SUPERCHARGER SETTINGS! I've included a patched services.jar that should speed things up considerably in the UI and clocks in at 75% supercharged right from the initial flash. Beta testers reported great results. If you use the baked in Nova Launcher, it will supercharge itself! Run the V6 script in /system/xbin/scripts to 100% supercharge and re-apply minfree settings for maximum performance. IT IS WELL WORTH YOUR WHILE!
And coming soon...
- A few more aesthetic tweaks that are necessary
- A new, fully re-themed System UI add-on that will darken the theme even further and add some light holo theming + a new battery mod! STAY TUNED FOR THAT.
- Maybe a switch to SuperSU...still considering that one.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- We can't update every week. I have a family and demanding job and will work as hard as possible to support the thread but new enhancements may take some time.
- Make sure you do the obvious thing - take a Nandroid backup prior to flashing in case something unexpected occurs!
ALWAYS a good idea to do a full wipe before flashing! TWRP or CWM is fine, make sure you do a factory reset AND a /system wipe to be sure you get it all!

- CLEAN FLASH ALWAYS!!!! Back up your apps, launcher settings, all that stuff before you start.
- Download ROM to /sdcard
- Reboot into recovery
- Take a backup
- Wipe exactly as shown here: Cache, Dalvik, Factory Reset, AND SYSTEM PARTITION. In CWM, use "format /system" under Mounts and Storage.
- Reboot. First boot may take 1-2 minutes, BE PATIENT. You'd take a while to get going again if someone ripped out all your guts and stuffed them back in a different way, wouldn't you?

RANDOM NOTES
Just a few things that run through my head when I work on this ROM that I think will help out some of the folks who don't have a ton of experience tweaking out their systems for what they feel is optimum performance.
LAUNCHER OPTIONS
I am a fan of launchers other than TouchWiz Home, most notably Nova. Nova is now INCLUDED in Infamous Tab 3.0, and the patched Supercharger settings that are baked in will immediately improve the performance of this launcher right out of the gate!
Try out Nova with this configuration, you won't regret it:
- Scroll Speed: Stock
- Animation Speed: Nova Default
- App Animation: Icecream Sandwich. They offer you Jellybean as well, but I just think the app anims with 4.0 were sexy.
- OH and yes - take advantage of Settings > Developer Options to help with your launcher experience as well!! I have my animation scales reduced from the stock 1.0 to 0.5x. It makes a difference in speed without sacrificing the sexy.
KERNEL OPTIONS
I have now baked in the Mackay 1.3 kernel which, in my opinion, is the best stock kernel option for 4.0 ROMs today. A1 and Yoda's kernel are other fantastic options that you can find by searching in the Dev section for our device. Mackay offers many good governor options and OC up to 1.6GHz, which makes it extremely versatile for different applications. Enjoy!
Here is my kernel setup:
- Kernel: Included Mackay 1.3
- CPU: OC'd to 1200 high, 312 low, Interactive governor, CFQ scheduler
- CPU Control Method: SetCPU app
- GPU: OC'd to 400mhz already. Games and videos are a joy to watch.

And one more for good measure.

No reason to flash gapps, they are included (may need a couple of updates but they're in there).
When you say bootloader, are you referring to the Samsung boot logo? Did you fully wipe your device before flashing (meaning factory reset and /system wipe)? What ROM were you coming from?

I'm stuck in the boot screen as well (Samsung Galaxy Tab logo) and I did a complete wipe as suggested. And my previous rom was Cleanrom 2.0.

Try flashing Infamous 1.0 then flash 2.1. For one reason or another coming from CM straight to 2.0+ causes a boot loop. Try this and let us know.

I just tested the link in the OP and it's working fine...follow the link at the bottom of my OP to the original Infamous thread and then click the download link for V1.0. Or are you saying that's what you did with no success? I just tried 30 secs ago and it seems OK...

I got it to work....thanks. Gonna flash in a few.

The other thing that I'm wondering guys is if this stallout is happening due to the older versions of CWM (5.x.x.x) not necessarily wiping partitions correctly. There is all kinds of talk about using wipe scripts with the older versions to clear the partitions correctly and I'm curious as to whether those older recoveries are leaving "remnants" that are giving you grief.
In addition to the 1.0 option, try updating your recovery to CWM 6.x.x.x or the newer TWRP offerings. I myself use TWRP religiously and haven't had a single issue flashing anything since 4.0 including CM10. Thx!

Thanks, I just updated my CWM to version 6, tried it again and it works like a charm. Only issue I have is the rolling wake-up (Turning screen on from Sleep) but there are some hints on the forum which might help.

Just installed the new rom and it runs really smooth, will keep testing. Thanks for your hard work:good:

Finally got it loaded and really like the look of it. One request though, is there a way to get battery percentage on the icon?
Nice work!!

I have bought a new phone (Xperia Z) so VikingWay for I9300 is now discontinued. I would like to thank everyone that enjoyed VikingWay on the SGS3!

VikingWay is a light & fast rom that focuses on keeping the greatest parts of the stock experience and functionality.
Everything that I consider as bloatware or crap is removed and I personally think it gives the rom an amazing clean feeling.
With all crap removed, VikingWay is among the lightest Samsung firmware based roms avaliable - but fully functional and stable for daily use.
I'm personally NOT that interested in modding the rom like a freak and apply tons of tweaks. I think Samsung did most of it really good!
I just don't like all the extra crap that is forced upon the user. VikingWay leaves you at a truly clean scratch with some "schoolsux touches"!!
Mod whatever you like yourself or enjoy VikingWay just as it is - simple and slim with stock solid quality.
Quick Navigation:
¤ Changelog
¤ Screenshots & banners
Nice Mods: (optional)
¤ Theme mods for 4.1.2 by raubkatze!
¤ JKay Deluxe Framework.
*** I always dedicate time to test my roms on my SGS3 before releasing ***
*** BUT, I take no responsibility if this rom, or the evil snails in your garden, or whatever - kills your phone ***
*** VikingWay rom does NOT include any bootloader or recovery ***
* Doing a full wipe in recovery before flashing rom is always recommended. However, install script willl NEVER wipe your user data.[/INDENT]
1. Download base rom and latest update if there is any!
2. Copy downloaded zip(s) to phone internal/external sd card.
3. Google how to root your SGS3 and install recovery using Odin.
4. Reboot into custom recovery and do a full wipe.
5a. Wipe cache and dalvik if you have a previous version of VikingWay installed.
5b. Full wipe is always recommended for best experience, especially if coming from another rom its necessary!
6. Flash VikingWay rom using latest ClockworkMod recovery and then any updates on top of it.
7. Done & enjoy VikingWay!
By using this rom you accept:
* This rom is cooked by my taste and if you don't like that or miss something, just use another rom!
* l share my personal rom build, I'm no paid supporter and I do not like requests.
* Don't ask when things will be done, I take the time I need and release stuff whenever I feel time is right.
* I update when there is worthy improvements, NOT just to get the latest build number.
¤ VikingWay Downloads ¤ Links to official mirrors!
For fixes, firmware and more stuff:
Samsung<3, SamMobile, raubkatze and all other guys that enhances the Galaxy experience!
For donating and supporting the future of VikingWay:
You know who you are and you have my thanks! Money goes to next gen phones and Jägermeister shots!
If your name isn't on these lists, but you think it should be - send me a PM!
* Samsung Keyboard does not auto-correct words. Contact Samsung support and tell them!
(Problem is across all Samsung 4.1.2 Jellybean roms!)
* Home button wake and exit current app. (Use power button or Smart Stay for now).
(Also a problem across all roms when S Voice is disabled.)
This rom is based on stock Samsung Jellybean firmware!
By my experience rom runs overall great, but I'm just a single person and I don't try out all the stuff you might do.
If you find something that is not caused by you trying to modify something, provide feedback to make this rom better! I don't say no to a possible soultion either!
* Added optional packages for v7.x: SMemo, AllShare, Accuweather Widget, Samsung Account with sCloud.
VikingWay v7.1
- Pretty much v6 style.
- Rebase on XXEMB5 firmware!
- XXEMB5 modem and kernel.

- Fixed rom default wallpaper.

- Some changes due to poll feedback.
- Added missing Android 4.2 clock widget, that was included in previous versions!
- Other minor changes and polish.
* v7.x is the last VikingWay series based on 4.1.2. VikingWay v8 WILL BE Android 4.2 based and if it takes months for Samsung to release it I will wait months!

- Hold volume button to skip track when screen is off. (Tested with stock music player.)
* Solid and clean as usual, v5 is the best rom build I ever made.
* Flash over v3-v4 should work, but to get optimal performance a full wipe is recommended as usual!
* md5 info moved to download section.
VikingWay v4.1 Update
- Centered the statusbar clock and made it a little bit brighter.
- Made the statusbar icons brighter as well.
- Added Extended Power Menu.
* No wipe needed, flash on top of v4 base.

- Some other minor changes I don't remember.
* This rom does not include the new bootloader!
* I didn't flash the new bootloader yet while testing & running this, just so you know
99% stock theme as you can see Pictures will be updated when/if there is any major graphical changes!

You know that this is not allowed
Why post when everything isn´t finished?
Closed, "coming soon" threads are not something we welcome on XDA, they tend just to be filled with nonsense and fulfill no purpose.
A thread should be posted once a download link is ready.
Once a link is ready, PM me and I will reopen the thread.
Edit: Thread reopened

am new to android, so just a quick question. I dont know about the different ways to flash a rom(dont know what odin is, BTW I use mac).
So, download rom-> transfer to SD-> wipe data-> install from SD-> wipe cache/delvik cache-> Reboot? Would this work? Thats the only way I know

[ROM] CSROM - an AOSPish Mod of GB 236 [v7.0][Final]

CSROM has been retired and is now Open Source. If you wish to use this ROM as a base you must give credit in your OP and provide a link back to this thread.

Are you looking for a stable and smooth Gingerbread 236 experience?
A completely reliable and fully functioning daily driver?
Tweaked and modded as you have come to expect from a GB ROM?
Lightly Blured with an AOSPish twist?
A Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish?
Introducing a custom AOSPish ROM based on the deodexed Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) Fruit Cake made by Xanadu. The ROM has been almost completely de-bloated and de-blured, and has many AOSP components.
Try to think of this ROM as a Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish. I don't want to force apps, gapps, themes, and launchers on you.
I will leave it up to YOU to decide how you want YOUR ROM to look and function.
First boot is slow (due to deodex). Just be patient and enjoy the AOSP boot animation!
All the features of CSROM plus:
Faux 1.45GHz 026b1 unified kernel
V6 Supercharged (1000HP)
Faster and smoother than CSROM
Still has great battery life
Apps open instantly!
The idea was to create a customized status bar that reminds the user of the dashboard of a high-end sports car with the color scheme of the Motorola boot logo. This theme, which is compatible with both CSROM and CSROM Turbo, includes the HTC Sense status bar, status bar icons, and notification drawer.
(Additional screenshots)
Many thanks to:
SamCripp for ROM Factory
Xanadu for making the deodexed Fruit Cake

thanks for this! screenshots would be nice!
Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) Stock Fruitcake
At the same time I was working on the ROM above, I also spent some time trying to understand the problem with installing Gingerbread 2.3.6 Fruit Cakes. There are many members of this forum, myself included, that have been looking for a Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) fruit cake to return to stock. There are a few available on SamCripp’s thread, but there seems to be issues for some users installing them (if you search the thread you will find references to “System 7” errors). After trying to use these fruit cakes for a while I realized that I could not get them to install properly coming from a CM9/10 ROM, but coming from CM7 usually worked fine. After noticing that the GB 234 and 235 Fruit Cakes worked great every time, I started experimenting with install script mods. I eventually made one that works every time no matter which ROM I was currently running. The fruit cake I was using is listed on SamCripp’s thread as “2.3.6” and was also made by Xanadu and is pure stock. There is a download link below for my mod for anyone that is interested. If you use it let me know how it works. (Don’t misinterpret anything I have said above as a slight to SamCripp or ROM Factory – mad love for both!)
Many thanks to:
SamCripp for ROM Factory
Xanadu for making the original Fruit Cake

Flash ROM from recovery (no need to wipe – install script wipes system, data, cache, and Dalvik)

I just wanted to quickly confirm that I flashed this coming from CM7 and had no issues. The Stock GB ROM worked great.
Thanks again!

I don't know. In theory, it is possible. You may find some useful info in the link below where AT&T users were able to use a Froyo UK fruitcake.

Told you guys I would be back This is just the beginning for me!
So I've made an optimized build of Sense 3.6 for you guys, and since I'm also a major space nerd, I've decided this ROM will be named after various interstellar objects for the different builds, along with facts about the chosen interstellar object.
I'm sure everyone is familiar with the scene in Star Wars with two setting suns. This will be a reality for us on Earth anytime within the next one million years, thanks to the star Betelgeuse. It's a Red Supergiant star located approximately 642.5 light years away from the Solar System, and it's due to go Supernova within the next million years. It could happen in our lifetime, or not. But when it does happen, the explosion will be so violent and powerful it will look like a second sun has appeared in the sky for a period of approximately two weeks. It may or may not outshine our Sun but it will be exceptionally bright. This would be a monumental moment of history to observe! Nights on Earth would be just as bright as the daytime thanks to the exploding star. Even though the explosion will light up the night, 99% of the energy exposed to us and the Earth is released in neutrinos that will pass through our bodies and through the Earth with absolutely no harm done whatsoever. This star is so big, if it were at the center of our solar system, it would engulf all of the inner planets, along with the Asteroid belt.
So you want to know what's so good about this particular ROM when there's already ARHD and We Want Ics? Well here you go-
Main Features -
- Based on latest 4.14.405.2 RUU
- Memory tweaks for optimal performance
- Exceptionally smooth performance even with stock HTC kernel at 1GHz
- EXT4 File system for increased performance
- Updates as often as needed for ROM stability and by user request
- Useful pre-installed apps such as - ESFileExplorer, SuperSU, No-Frills CPU control, itandy's Sense Lockscreen Shortcut Provider(Please follow instructions in thread on how to use app properly), Auto-Rotate toggle app activated by holding Search button. HTC Notes has also been added.
- Enabled GPU UI rendering
- Almost Project Butter tweaks for increased reponsiveness and smoothness
- Camera quality tweaks
- Build.prop tweaks for increased performance
- AROMA installer for a nice installation
- Support for BlackRose and Revolutionary HBOOT
- More and more mods coming each day, thanks to the great users! All mods are in 2nd post.
- Init.d and busybox support
- Customized, but still a stock Sense 3.6 ROM, it's just been optimized
Code:

- Exceptionally smooth performance on even stock HTC kernel at 1GHz (Recommend using XS-ICS 2.2 though)
- Custom bootanimation functionality

- Camera quality adjustment tweaks

Where's this ROM going in the future? There won't be much updates after this, except for updating to a new base RUU or for bug fixes/new features. I'm going to be focusing on my upcoming CM9 here pretty soon. Sometime in the future, I may also be porting Blackout tweaks to this ROM, so you would have a choice between blackout or leedroid tweaks.
If there are any themer's out there that would like to give me a hand I would really appreciate it. I wanted to theme Sense to have more black and red highlights.. not overpowering but enough to make it feel "darker". I tried theme-ing Sense myself, and my efforts looked about equal to a Grade 2's paint project. :highfive: My mind operates on a logical basis, not a creative basis so I prefer sticking to coding and not touching image files..
Installation instructions - Blackrose HBOOT 2.02 recommended. NOTE - Support for Revolutionary HBOOT has been added.
NOTE- If your coming from a previous version of my ROM, you should be able to flash this over top and retain your data.
- Reboot into recovery
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe all partitions (Excluding SD card)
- Flash "V2.0-The_Second_Sun.zip"
- Reboot and enjoy! (Be patient, first boot will take a while)
Installation instructions for Blackrose PG32IMG.zip
- Place on root of your sdcard
- Reboot into bootloader and it should be found automatically
- Apply the update
Installation instructions for XS-ICS 2.2
- Flash the ROM
- Reboot and let the ROM settle for a few minutes
- Reboot into recovery and flash kernel
Using those steps, you should avoid the wifi error. If not just push bcm4329.ko(found in kernel package) into /system/lib/modules.
I recommend using the following frequencies if your using a kernel that supports OC -
1.402GHz Max
368MHz Min
SmartAssV2 governor
noop scheduler
I get amazing battery life even though my settings are very performance biased.
V2.5 is live! :highfive: Mods are still compatible with the new version, and I would recommend a full wipe before installation, but you don't have to if you want to keep your data. If you find a bug, make sure to let me know whether you wiped with installation or not, as the new base may cause problems without a wipe.

Previous Versions and Facts
Download Link - V1.5-SuperMassive_BlackHole
Download Link - V1.0-SuperMassive_BlackHole
Supermassive black holes reside in the heart of most, if not all galaxies in the Universe. We have our very own supermassive black hole in the Milky way, called Sagittarius A*. Supermassive black holes have a mass ranging anywhere from hundreds of thousands, to billions of Solar Masses. Every black hole in the galaxy has what's called an "Event Horizon" which is the point of no-return for every black hole. Even light, the fastest moving energy(particles? not sure) can't escape the Event Horizon of a black hole. If a person were to go into an Event Horizon, the tidal forces would be so powerful that one would be "Spaghettified" and stretched into a long, thin band of human matter. Let's assume this astronaut went in head first, feet behind him. The "spaghettification" happens due to the massive difference in gravitational pull his head would feel compared to his feet, the black hole's central singularity has such a strong gravitational pull that it pulls, stretches, and elongates any matter falling in.
Oddly enough, the tidal forces at a Supermassive black hole's event horizon would not be as powerful as a regular interstellar black hole. This is because as a black hole grows in mass, it loses density and becomes bigger, and the Event Horizon would be significantly further away from the central singularity (which is what generates the gravitational pull) as a result. If one were to go into the Event Horizon of a supermassive black hole, you might live long enough to get a glance inside of the black hole's Event Horizon and see something nothing like you've ever seen before. The possibilities of what one might see are unknown, as obviously nothing can go inside the Event Horizon and live to tell the tale (Or in the case of an automated satellite, all forms of communication would be pulled back into the black hole and never escape.)

Speaking of which, anyone know how this is done? I know you need to mod android.policy and framework-res.apk, I'm just not sure which particular file needs to be changed.
Edit: Wait a minute, wtf! Why does the GB style recent apps pop up instead of the new ICS style? I've NEVER seen this happen on a Sense 3.6 ROM before.
ZaySK you have a voicemail. You should check it may important lol.

Haha I hate that damn icon, I'm always to lazy to check it No major issues. Found one quirk, search key brings up GB recent apps instead of ICS recent apps. Found a fix for it and will incorporate it into the next release tomorrow or the day after.
I'm not sure to be honest. I use 4ext touch and blackrose hboot. If you do try it, let me know if it works and I'll update the main post. Just be sure to back up first

Thanks You wouldn't happen to know how to switch the recent apps dialog shortcut from showing GB to ICS would you? I've been staring at this motherf**king 16500 lines of smali since I first discovered that bug. I'm done with smali for tonight, I'm going insane. Pisses me off, it all looks the damn same and it's so hard to figure out which lines control the recent apps "style".
Anyone know?

Flashable tweaks (random stuff):
ViperROM-One-ESPN_Veetle_Fix.zip: Fixes WatchESPN and Veetle apps. Fixes problems certain games were having. Thanks photon01 for the log that helped me find the issue.
ViperROM-One-Remove-Trans.zip: Removes transparency from the notification panel. Thanks Mayfield103 for the assist.
ViperROM-One-Volume-Wake.zip: Volume buttons wake screen.
ViperROM-One-Volume-Revert.zip: Reverts volume button to stock behavior.
ViperROM-One-30_Volume_Steps.zip: Changes all volumes from default steps (7, and 15 typically) to 30
ViperROM-One-Revert_30_Volume_Steps.zip: Reverts volumes steps to stock.
Q: Why aren't you using AROMA?
A: Because AROMA is broken on newer phones. It freezes, touch screen is inaccurate, and the colors are way off. For now, a regular install is best. Most of the apps that have been taken out can be reinstalled from viperControl.
Q: How do I access viperControl?
A: Open Terminal Emulator, type "su" (without quotes), accept the Superuser prompt, type "vc" (without quotes) and you're in! Poke around, there is a lot more functionality coming. It is a little bare now because this is a new device and not everything works the same way. More features will come
Q: When is the next update? (Also known as the dreaded "ETA" question)
A: PLEASE do not ask this. You may not think it's a big deal, but it drives me a bit crazy. We are very open and always let you know when something is in the works. When we have news, we will let you know as soon as we have it.
Q: How do ROM updates work?
A: I have removed HTC OTA updates, because you don't want them on a custom ROM Instead, we will be using GooManager for updates for the ROM. We will, of course, announce when we have a new version out, but GooManager will also "ping" your device to let you know that an update is available. It will flash it for you if you are on TWRP (maybe CWM, but I haven't tried)
Q: Can I live on the "bleeding edge" and get updates ahead of time?
A: Yes and no. We do not need testers at this time, but I have decided to keep an open SVN. You can access it here. If you want to know how to use this, please read LiquidSolstice's very informative thread here. Ask the questions about setting up SVN in that thread if you need help with it, please.
Q: Ok, I don't need "bleeding edge", but I'd like to see what you are doing? Can I?
A: Sure, here is the commit log. It will tell you everything being done
Q: Do you plan to support viperROM on devices other then Sprint devices?
A: I would like to, but I can't make any promises right now.
Q: HELP! SOMETHING WENT WRONG!?
A: Don't panic. Did you read everything as the instructions said? Take another read over the information and try again. Everything should be accurate and all the info above should be sufficient to get you going.

Just in case. Closing til I have the thread setup. When I open it again, DON'T POST TIL I SAY SO!
Thanks
viperROM One has launched! Please read everything in the OP and the 3rd post, it will clear up almost any questions that you have. Steve and I will be updating the thread over the weekend to make it look pretty
Please, do not hesitate to post in this thread. We are very helpful people, we love our users. Just please make sure to read everything we've written before asking questions, it gets tedious answering the same things over and over that have already been put in the thread.
For the most up to date information, keep an eye on this thread. You can also follow me on Twitter and like the viperROM page I made a while ago on Facebook.
I hope you all enjoy your phones when you get them tomorrow and I hope you all enjoy the ROM. Trust me, there is plenty of good stuff coming. You all should be excited for Steve to get the phone, he is the master of tuning these things!
Enjoy

Just one question, because there I'd no s-off yet, can I flash this like normal or do I have to do anything different like with the evo lte I think people who didn't have s-off had to flash the kernel or boot.img separate, I was always s-off so I never paid to much attention to that part

Lol, ok...
Frameworks and cores, just meaning that when you fire it up for the first time, you won't have to do a years worth of upgrades all at once. It is up to date.
and you know my FAV part of this ROM so far? I've not had a SINGLE reboot or freezeup. Google Now actually works without freezing up when you say Google.
If you receive the private Beta, please do not redistribute the link.
Also, leave feedback here as well, to let me know what needs work.
Solid!
You've hit the nail on the head.
Taken the best of the stock versions and fine tuned.
Thanks a lot for this.
Eagerly awaiting public release
it would be great, if you can add halo and pie to your long features list...

I was looking for a SOLID ROM, meaning
NO REBOOTS
EVERYTHING WORKS
GOOD BATTERY LIFE
SMOOTHNESS
Unfortunately, we just don't have that yet with most of the custom 4.2.2 ROMs, and there aren't really any stock based ROMs yet.
So here is something I've been working on for about a week now, and is DEFINITELY still a work in progress.
HoloBlur ROM - Beta
FEATURES
Rooted with Koush Superuser
Based off of the Mexican Retail 4.1.2 Stock zip.
Fully deodexed, with init.d and insecure ADB support.
V6 Supercharger Script.
Custom kernel with many governors and overclocking available up to 1.89 gHz, permission pending from arrrghhh to make available for public.
Removed MotoCamera and Gallery, replaced with newest 4.2 AOSP camera and gallery, takes crisp shots and records in 1080p.
Dark themed CM Messaging app with quick reply
Stock Moto launcher with the Circles widget
COMPLETELY debloated ROM to make it as lightweight and free of crapware/ Moto-spyware as possible
Latest Google frameworks and apps included - meaning completely UP TO DATE when you first fire up the ROM
AOSP DeskClock
Removed MotoEmail, replaced with AOSP Email
Google Emoji keyboard
Microbes and Sunbeam live wallpapers included
SmartActions and VoiceSuite still included
Like i said, this is very much a work in progress. The goal is to have the rock solidness of a stock rom, with the enjoyment and feel and beauty of the latest offerings from Google.
Plans include:
Themed lockscreen to look like 4.2.2
Themed status bar icons to look more like AOSP
Theme Moto dialer to look more AOSP
Theme all moto apps to have AOSP icons
Tweak stock launcher layout
Possible theming to the Circles widget to look more Holo-y
Battery percentages in status bar
Custom Navbar layouts (4, 5 buttons, whatever order you want, flashable in CWM)
Any other ideas? Bring it on!
INSTRUCTIONS
you may need to fastboot back to stock Jellybean for installing this. It has the boot.img included in it however, so that problem is no longer there like it was with the original Mexican Retail rom.
Factory reset/wipe data.
Format system.
Manually mount system in recovery.
Just flash the ROM.
Setup the ROM.
Notice there's no annoying privacy notice?
