As a lot of you seem to have issues after updating FB on our roms, non have really stated which roms your using so im assuming this is wide spread for us.
Now i had the problem when i updated to new version and my phone kept restarting on my ROM. I opened the app, app run fine, quit the app and all of a sudden phone reboots and never come back on. did this several times.
I removed new version and installed an earlier one and it seems fine.
If you have these problems please say so but in the mean time Ive hosted some of the older Facebook.apk for you to download and go backwards.
You may also be having problems if your using Facebook messenger, again restore back one.
Stock roms are going to present a problem. non rooted roms have no chance!
Rooted roms you may want to uninstall Facebook chat as well as there both linked together.

I still use v1.9.9 as it presents no problems for me.
The procedure that's best is as follows.
uninstall Facebook.apk only with either link2sd or titanium backup. make sure its removed then wipe the cache, this is best done in recovery. reboot then install which version you want.
Installing another version over the top will still keep the data installed on the phone.
If you are using the HCTFacebook.apk (IE FB Button) wipe the data on that too!

i have tried updating to the new version same with messenger and it just keeps fudging up. so for now i will carry on using 1.9.9 and previous messenger.
to update it you will have to remove any version you have, i would only recommend rstoring via TB if its an earlier version to the newest and again remove the old one first.
after numerous of trys it seems that FB.20 doe not like being a System app.
ive attempted to run this on my new roms so see how you fair. it worked for me while i crash tested it

i have v11 with perflock and data2sd. fb 1.9.6
fb app didnt work initially but earlier today i was using skyscanner app and tried the share option in that app.
it launched the fb app and was able to connect and log in no problems
checked it a couple of times through out the day by launching the fb app and friend stream and seems to be ok for now.
cant post in the other thread but for info i have not been able to flash v12 or holo v3. just get to the htc white screen as per other 2 posts.

Ok ta,I'm working on finding the fault with boot.
As for facebook its **** right now that's all I can say lol. Some people have it working others don't, took me ages to get it working for me.

not many people have had luck. it seems cm7 users don't have a problem using it...
locked bootloader is pointless but can be done by reversing the unlock.bin code you got sent ie using the dos cmds, instead of the unlock cmd lock it instead. as for absolutely stock wipe data/cache etc and reboot if your on stock anyway. note if you lock it and loose the unlock code you got sent it cannot be unlocked again as you have already done it.....keep that email safe!

um.. i am a newbie here but im trying every single one of the stocks(stock, stock and root, stock,root and apps 2 sd) but i seem to be having problems with all of them..
the SU dosnt work for some reason??
i think it would be best to like totally factory reset my phone to 2.3.3 original stock any everything..

Actually, you need check the region of your phone, and choose the ruu matches your phone, then you don't need s-off

Or you may generate goldcard to be used when flashing the RUU from any area without S-OFF

One thing i have noticed is it does support apn connections and the 3g internet speed seems to increase a whole lot which is cool. thought i would sahre as that rom is installed via the custom firmware which makes it reverse engineerable, but credit does go to the chef who cooked up the storm

I would of said so yeah you get 150mb after you have installed this and gapps, but there is nothing stopping you from putting on something to change default install location

here is a few screenshots, one of the chinese settings screen, one of the setup screen to show it does support english, one of storage space left after the 10 app marker, one of the standard market with the search results of xda displayed, gives you an idea, although I am leaning toward getting my update early and getting a different phone again now
Seems ok lol, ill keep on going with this fone for awhile, see what else I can get working on it. Will install this different version over the weekend. Will this flash on the recovery menu or is there a specific way? Normally I flash on cwm menu. I already have custom market installed and have multiple others so I will install that back on to it when installed rom.

Ok, installed this rom, what a nightmare lol. Removed xda.cn and there market, installed ours. Su permissions messed me around and moving apps across to SD been a pain too. Really need an option to set the fb button to out market if possible cost now I've removed there's is a dead button lol. Space wise, I've got 20mb more after sorting it out. Apart from that good. Once I changed all the Behring details to English lmao. I do like the status bar though, similar to cwm ones.

even more of a nightmare, i backup several images from the recovery menu, i wanna go back to pull stuff from the standard rom, but when trying to flash them...nothing meaning i cannot reinstall the original rom image i made last week.

not had any issues like that to be honest but have not gone to the depths of removing the market from the facebook button as yet, if you put up what root you took for removing the market from the button or was it a case of it came of with uninstalling the apps

may of just found my first actual CWM rom but again it is in chinese but i am downloading and if it is i will repost here
What I did was installed rom toolbox, unistalled the system market ie xda.cn and it's partner app which removed the Chinese market from the button, no way of adding one in though I checked lol. Do have HTC fc issues with Facebook and a few other standard apps, have noticed xfacebook sense has gone and HTC hub does not work which Is annoying lol. I do love the transparent status bar though. Let me know how u get on with the next rom u find. Also any idea where I can get the UK standard rom to flash back lol as my current image backups do not reinstall which is a complete arse!

I am rooted. I mean for thr ota when I say stock. I was on cna, but I decided to try the ota and I havent had one hiccup. i miss the cool themes so I was hoping to at least find some inverted apps. I did find a circle bat mod. And I found a themed msg app but I cant send split text. I am running latest matrix kernel.

I'm also running stock and matrix, and these worked for me http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15092-invertedtotally-inverted-apps-4-22-contacts-and-mms-updated/. You can always search Google for inverted apps of your choice. Most of my installed apps are inverted.

I flashed them. Did you wipe both cache and dalviche before flashing. Might have to uninstall the current one also.

24A has been ornery, Took a bit of work with MicroMod777's base to get it working.
As before ROMs, 24A, 11A & 12B, have been stripped of every Verizon and LG app that is not included somewhere in the settings.
They are simply extracted, debloated*, rooted, busy boxed and zip-aligned. 24A is Now recommended as it has all the benefits of 11A with no 12B issues.

Possibly but not me, not now. There are times AOSP doesn't perform as well as a feature ROM. This, IMO, is one of those times. HTC sense 5 is the other.
Nice and lean thanks. Running it now. Any way to get the stock weather app/widget back on here? I tried restoring from a titanium backup from stock rom and it wouldn't do it. Thanks.
Edit: Also this rom is missing calendar app and the ability to sync calendar data on my exchange account. Again tried to restore anything that says 'calendar' in it with titanium and it failed. Any ideas before I go back to stock? Gotta have calendar.

The updates need to be flashed. I'm not keen on uploading 1.3gb for a few mb modification.
How's battery life on this? Eager to try it out but I'm on malladus ROM and I've been getting about 16+ hrs with a single charge
Edit: also on the screen shot..how did you make the battery icon and everything else white? Like android kitkat theme?

Battery seems ok to me. It's stock so it'll behave stock.
There's a few threads with themes.
I'm using the one for XThemeEngine.

Thanks for the quick update. I installed the calendar sync app and weather app. Running well now. After I flashed those zips was was getting google speech to text service force closes. I uninstalled that service using titanium and reinstalled from Play Store and all is well.
I will use for a little while and report back if I see any other problems. Thanks again.

Yeah, I goofed. I always put apps in /system/data/app instead of /data/app.
Just realized it.

11A is the latest. I used the 11E for about a day but it had the tendency to hang at times.

Trying to get used to Tapatalk too. Is there any way to add samsung keyboard here? The one that Note 2 have. I really don't like the keyboard in terms of mistakes i make on it. It is pain to type long texts. I tryed every keyboard on PlayStore. But i think that good keyboard only can be ported from other roms.

Hi Tonyp i'm writing you here since i cant post to officiale thread.
I installed your p990 rom "TheRom" (really good job btw) and noticed a bug in the status bar, while downloading something it keep refreshing each time the system update the remaining download time and size, like a blink effect. I read that someone else got this problem too.
Dont know if you can be interested in this.
Using your last rom (23) old bootloader.

sorry i said 23 but i'm using the 25 that as i know is the latest for the old bootload, i'll wait for a conversion of the 26 and let you know if it got fixed
I have this too (using build 23). I found that you can "fix" this by disabling holo (move the holo dot into the trash bin).

Hi Guys,
I need your help, I am using LG optimus 2x from long time. I have not made any changes in the phone. However these days I see that phone is not smooth at all it lags a lot when ever I play games or browse or do anything even to make it call or message it gets stuck. I have not updagrade the andriod it has 2.3.4 version, I have kernel version of 2.6.32.9, I have Internal SD card Avalible Space of 2.91gb and Ineternal Storage of 1.03 gb Free. still I find this phone getting stuck when ever i make a call, message or use any apps. The other problem I am facing is when ever I restart the phone all my deleted picture, videos comes back to my gallery.
Please help wat can be done for this are there any changes in software I can do if so please guide me
I am working on putting together a custom Rom for the T-mobile LG V10 and I'm looking for some testers. Right now any volunteers will be testing my baseline rom, one that is as stripped down as possible. The goal is to create a stable rom with as little built into the base as possible, so that all apps are optional.
I've always been frustrated by the fact that if I prefer a clock app from the market, I've still got to have the stock clock eating up space on my system partition. Same with launchers, calculators, calendars, etc. And as time goes on, it has gotten worse. Now things like youtube, google apps, etc. have a base version sitting in system, and all your updates in /data, taking up twice the space. That is the idea behind Blackhole, that when it's fully complete, you have your choice of any apps you want, and none that you don't.
The first public beta is ready, and I'd like for some intrepid users to test it out. Be aware I will be asking you to wipe your phone to test this, I will be wanting reports of any issues you run into, and this rom will be missing things you will wish it had. Be prepared to download a lot of apps from the market, because when you flash this ROM, you will have about half a page of apps left when it first boots.
I have decided to release version 0.31 Beta to anyone interested. Be aware that there are some issues stemming from stock apps being removed, you can look through this thread for details, but here are a few:
No ability to set/keep custom lockscreen wallpapers without adding the LG gallery
Cannot preview pictures or set custom homescreen wallpapers until you download a gallery app from the market (google photos works great for me)
The following stock apps remain:
Camera
Contacts
Google Settings
Messaging
Mobile Hotspot (it's built into the wifi settings app or it would be gone too)
Phone
Play store
Settings
All other apps have been removed. This version is meant to be a baseline to build upon. If you want market apps integrated into the rom, just download them and use titanium backup to convert them to system apps, then they will stay if you wipe the device. If you want some of the stock apps back, either keep an eye on my folder for the V10 on Android File Host, as I will be periodically uploading zip files that will restore stock apps, or you can grab one of the stock system pulls and copy the apps you're missing to the correct folder on the phone using a root browser (es file explorer, rom toolbox, etc.) just make sure you're putting it in the correct folder (/system/app or /system/priv-app).

Requirements:
T-mobile LG V10 - this is the phone that I have, and the only model I will be working on at this time. If you've got an international version, or one for another carrier, I'm sorry, please don't try to flash this.

Basic knowledge of logcat, android file structure, how to recover from a soft-brick.
I also strongly recommend you backup your current setup, and keep this zip on your sd card so you can flash it from twrp if necessary
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, feel free to flash, just don't expect anything fully-featured just yet. This is the first release, everything so far has been slimming down, now it's time to build it back up into something more useful and flexible than stock.

Removed bootup sound
Re-added LG Update Center and Application Manager to simplify adding back some LG apps

Fixed a bug introduced in .3 that caused second screen to not work if main screen was on
Uploaded a .31 patch for those of you that are already on .3, so you can update without downloading another gig for the small fixes

Awsome, this rom is exactly what I am looking for. No more apps taking space and taking resources, I have frezze and unistall a lot of apps and the phone runs so much better. I would love to help you please send me a pm and maybe we can do a hangout group with all of us together so we can communicate in real time.

haven't tested a rom before but this is my first LG phone would defently like to gave a go at testing a rom out. i did notice they have much less stock apps than samsung and the rom is much smaller. i'm comming from a note four so to see the phone boot with only two screens worth of apps i was lost for a second thinking something was missing lol. PM me or just add a link here i will down load and test it out.

Still working out what can and can't be removed without breaking the hell out of the phone. some stuff that seems completely unrelated causes second screen to constantly FC when it's removed. I've made good progress though, and I plan on sending out the first beta invites tonight.

Uploading the first Beta now. If you PM'd me your interest, look for a response with instructions and a link in the next hour or so. Again, please be aware this is not a full featured rom yet, this is just a base with as much removed as i can manage without breaking the basic functionality. Once I get the base stable I'll start working on getting a full aroma installer put together with options for things like browser, launcher, email, bootanimations, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys can break it while I continue trying to strip out more fluff for Beta 2.
