[Q] Installed Apps Blank???? - HELP??? - Nexus 7 General

I am setting up two Nexus 7's I purchased for my kids and receiving mixed results.
1) Both tablets connected to wifi fine.
2) Both tabets completed the system update without a problem and are running kernel version 3.1.10-g22b4fcd, Build number JOP40D.
However, when I go to the play store to update apps,
Tablet A lists all the apps INSTALLED and I was able to update several apps
Tablet B does not show a single app under the tab INSTALLED.
I called Google support and they are telling me it could take a day for this screen to udpate. After I hung up the phone, I noticed that the back of the problem tablet appears to once had a white sticker near the SN sticker while the working tablet does not have this.
These are Christmas gifts and I am debating on returning the problem tablet for a replacement. Does anyone have words of wisdom they can share with me? Am I over-reacting?
Appreciate the help.

So its been on overnight and still no apps are listing. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this. I've already tried a factory reset and the results are the same.

Go under settings apps and find the play store clear data cache and everything in there. Then open play store and see if it fixes it. I never heard this problem but this is how we fixed some ROMs on the bolt when the play satire would say error can't download the selected app. So worth a try and its weird that Google said it could take days. I think I would call back and demand to talk to someone higher on the food chain. Hope this works as would suck not having a gift working on Xmas morning.

[Q] Unable to buy from Play Store on phone

Hi.
Ive had this problem for a month or so now and ive tried reinstalling the play store, clearing caches, clearing the framework data, clearing store data and still I am unable to purchase on my phone.
This wouldnt be a problem normally since I still can buy apps and send them to the phone on a computer from play.google.com
However some games that have ingame content requires that you buy it on the phone.
When I try to purchase any app on the phone I get "Error. An error occured. Please try again".
Well I tried again aprox 17 trillion times and the same error always shows up.
Ive googled about the problem but havent found a solution.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Which rom do you use? In app payment works since 2.3. If i remember correctly, but i guess its not your problem.

My problem is that I can't purchase anything. Somewhere I read that Wiping would "solve" it. Thats not really practical is it now. Anyway I wiped a month ago due to some kernel setting i messed up and the Bug/Error appeared instantly or as soon as I tried to purchase my first app. Could be that it would have worked for a while after fresh install but dunno.
And wiping the phone to buy something off the market kinda beats the purpose. If Id have to wipe every single time I want to purchase something
To specify even further
It is not app-specific.
My CreditCard is fine and is working.
Rom is NovaHD RC22-41
Hmm maybe should try clean application data on Google Play, i have some problems with Google Play and data clean helps.

Also have this problem....can't buy.
I also have this problem.
I am using NovaHD RC22-41 now, but I have had this problem ever since I started using this ROM (at around RC10).
Same story as nuggeo. Full wipe several times, and cleared Play Store cache didn't help me.
Short update on the problem.
Ive cleared data/cache on Play Store and Google services Framework multiple times.
Uninstalled Play Store, Reflashed Gapps, removed my account, readded my account. Praid to the Google Gods and hold both fingers and toes crossed and still no.
Currently im getting an error code ( thats a first )
Error processing purchase [DF-BPA-13].
Quick googling showed some people with the same issue but not with a solution that worked for me or a lot of other people.
Any tips appreciated
See if it works on CM7

Really wouldnt want to go back to CM7 but it did work on CM7 before I went for CM9 so it would probably work. But that isn't really a solution is it.
Update
As of now I am not able to even "purchase" free apps.
Guess its time for a wipe and hope for best.

Did the full wipe fix it?
I finally made it work for me.
I reinstalled my NovaHD rom, WITHOUT gapps. The I installed gapps manually.
Now I can buy from Google Play Store again!
same thing happened to me lots of times, fix i found was simply reinstalling the rom or kernel sometimes (happens with both) even without touching gapps...

[Q] Cannot connect to Play Store on A855

I have a motorola droid A4855 and I'm running cm 7.2RC2i installed gapps and ive got rom manager/clockwork recovery and so on...
Here is my issue. I have never been able to get the play store to work. I just bough this phone from a friend of mine a week ago for like $10. I haven't had a phone in almost a year and I'm still somewhat new to Android.
Well before I rooted this phone and put the ROM on it it was still on its basic ROM. I was able to at least open the Market and it would have me put in my credentials to log into google to do the sync thing so I could access and download apps. but it always said it couldnt connect. I have it running off of wifi because I do not have a 3G data package as of right now. I'm not going through a traditional US phone carrier either, although I will be in the near future here. Right now my wireless carrier is through Reach Out Wireless (a government supplemented wireless program). It runs on the Verizon network though. I check my number and it comes back as Cellco dba Verizon Wireless.
Now that I have rooted and installed CM I installed the gapps and now have the Play Store (as opposed to the Market previously). I click on the app to open it and it gives me the dialogue of "You must add an account to the device to continue. DO you want to add one now?" and it gives me the option of Yes and No. I click on yes because I obviously want to, but then the app just closes and I'm back to my home screen. I've downloaded and installed the play store from several different sources and it still doesn't work. Neither do any of the other apps that require a google login. They all ask to chose the account and there are none visible and they give me the option to create a new account but I click on that and it does nothing as well...
Anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Is it just because I don't have a data package? Every other app on my phone works perfectly fine through wifi. And I have tried about 6 different wifi sources as well at home, work, 3 different mcdonalds and a starbucks.
try to read this topic
it may help you

Problem solved. I was not installing the proper gapps package... D'OH! stupid me lol
Ok so not completely solved... The play store keeps saying that my device is not compatible with a lot of the apps I want to download. Most of them say that they require 2.1 and up or 2.2 and up. Well I have 2.3.7 with CM7RC2 on my droid correct? Therefore my device should be compatible right? I called google and they said they would check into it. I'm not sure what could be causing this to happen...

[Q] Google Play Error 403 after factory reset [MOVE REQUESTED]

Edit: To mod: If possible, please move this thread to a non device specific subforum, as people with different devices are experiencing the same problem.
So today I decided to factory reset my HTC One, and install back some applications I had previously.
However, after the factory reset I am unable to either install or update any application, with the Google Play Store returning: ""{app}" could not be downloaded due to an error. (403)".
I've been looking around a bit and have seen quite some others with this issue, however no solutions have worked for me. What I've tried:
Logged into Hangouts and confirmed mobile number.
Removed Google account in settings --> Go to Apps>All> and force stop Google Play Store, Google Service Framework and Download Manager, then clear cache and data for each --> Added back Google account --> Restarted device (without launching Google Play Store).
Using a new gmail account.
Clearing Proxy: I've looked in my Wi-Fi and APN Settings, both of which have no proxy set to begin wit.
Using 3G instead of Wi-Fi.
Another factory reset (repeated other steps afterwards).
Installing apps onto my device from my PC (it won't attempt to install them on the phone).
Please note my phone is not rooted and I'm not planning on rooting my phone any time soon.
Thanks in advance,
Errors4l.

Interesting, this is happening to me also after a factory reset of my HTC One. Tried all of the above, my phone too is not rooted however the bootloader is unlocked.

Yeah I've encountered quite some threads of people having this problem with the HTC One, however their solutions have not worked for me. Hoping someone can bring an answer to this thread
Yea it just seems unusual that it has happened to us pretty much at the same time under the same circumstances, maybe there is some issue with the store rather than our devices, I hope so!
Having exactly the same problem, tried everything. Even got a new handset because of the original issue which caused me to perform the factory reset. Maybe a problem with Google Play?
Hey guys!
I did a factory reset on my LG Swift L9 today
and also can't download any app from Google Play
due to 403. It may not be related to HTC One only.

I've got a new Nexus 5 delivered to me hours ago, first time using it and i can confirm the same sadly, hopefully it will be resolved soon !
What would be the quickest way to alert a mod so that the thread can be moved to a non device specific forum?
Hi all,
Picked up a Nexus 7 today - it was initially loaded with an old build of Android (Blue connectivity bars not white etc) and everything seemed to be working fine. Notification popped up for me to install the latest version, so I stopped what I was doing, got it installed and I'm now stuck with the same 403 errors as everyone else.
Looks to me like a Play Store issue but damn infuriating seeing as I can't even put any basic apps on my shiny new Nexus.
Noticed on another forum earlier that someone was having the same issue, and a guy responded saying he'd returned his Galaxy Tab to the store it came from today (Curry's, I think?) and after the staff there contacted Samsung - they were told that it was an issue with the Play Store. No obvious citations of course, but seems pretty legit what with everything else going on.
And now we wait...

I changed the title and inserted a request in the first post, hope it'll get noticed faster this way by a moderator
(Not so) sorry for double post.
I just tried again, without making any changes to my phone, and I just downloaded 3 different apps (2 I had previously, 1 new one).
Need a confirmation if the problem is solved for other people (with different devices) before I request a close.
Yeah, it works for me too now!

Nope, still 403'ing over here. But I'll keep checking in case it's gradually being fixed.
Still getting errors here too.
403 =/
I'm glad it's not just me.
I tried resetting/clearing everything thinking it was my phone cos I just recently rooted and flashed this brand spanking new HTC One (it was a replacement for my broken HTC One that had a working store :crying, until I went ahead and Googled this annoying error.
Seems like it's a problem on the Google end! =/
Get same error, tried RUU reset and ViperOne ROM.
Still 403 error! Very annoying
Spent 2 hours or so messing installing cyanogen on my new nexus and thought I'd ****ed up. Then googled it. I can believe it, talk about bad timing. lol
Looks like we are not alone...

[Q] Dish Network TV anywhere

3rd day with my Nexus 6 and I have solved most issues ive come across so far accept for
Not being able to use the dish network tv anywhere app. Ive tried multiple installs with the same
End result. Login screen works, then the app tries loading but ends up in a loop that appears very simular to a boot loop (flashes black then starts at square 1). Anyone else had issues? Any ideas for a fix?
Side note 1 : Anyone experiencing force close while using google chrome, turn off the setting that allows tabs to be independant (part of the app switcher) and allow chrome to handle tabs natively.
Side note 2: Still working on a giant pile of data issues on sprints network. I will compile a list for that seperately in a different thread, but is the sprint phone able to transfer to another carrier once i own it? Thanks fellas, excited about finally owning a device that will undoubtably attract androids most talented developers and problem solvers!
Pretty sure they just need to update the dish app. Look at the reviews on the play store, tons of complaints it doesn't work with 5.0.

I asked them on Twitter last night. They said they're aiming for December 3 for an update to the app.

[Q] Google isn't backing up my phone settings

This is probably one of the more frustrating features that I have seen on this device. Whenever I wipe (per say to go to another rom) in the setup process there is no option to select restore from a nexus 6. Only from my tablet and NY old note 4 that I haven't used in 2 weeks. This is really frustrating because I have to manually download all the apps that I use on a regular basis. Is there a way to fix this? Has anyone else run into it?
Why not just use titanium backup. I find it much easier and much faster.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I have exactly the same issue. It's incredibly irritating to have to re-set everything up including wi-fi settings etc. etc. I don't understand why it keeps showing just my old Nexus 4. I've learned my lesson now and will do a nandroid next time but that is something that should be working anyway.
I think there's a lot of us with the same issue. Tb is fine but I want my settings to restore also.
Yep it sucks, trying to use Google to have a solution but still nothing everytime I try to clean flash I need to select setup as new device since my last backup is almost 50 days old.
I could use titanium backup but why download an app when my phone is supposed to do that without the need of an extra app
It hasn't backed up mine either... Nvidia Shield backsup just fine but not this... I can't understand what's going on.
I posted what worked for me to have my Nexus 6 show up in my Google Play devices in another thread earlier as I was having the same issues, then noticing that the Nexus was not showing up in my devices on Google Play.
Basically, a few days ago, all I did was go to "Backup and reset" in the phone settings, turned off "Back up my data", then turned it back on again and my device finally showed up in Google Play and is presently up to date in the "Last used" column at this time. As noted in the other thread, I have not reset the phone since but hopefully now that the phone is in the list and updating, it will be an option next time I reset the phone.
This worked for me to at least get the phone to show up in Google Play. I hope it works for others that might be having the same issue and hopefully with the phone showing up in Google Play, an automatic restore will be possible after a reset.
