i must have heimdall one click for exhibit - Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G

heimdall one click for exhibit
Hey guys my exhibit is bricked. Download mode is the only thing i can do with it. I have tried every thing to fix it. Odin won't communicate with it, one click unsoft brick didn't help. But Heimdall one click will communicate with my phone. I tried to make one for exhibit but I'm just not knowledgeable enough to do it. I was watching a video on how to do it and I downloaded the stock firmware from samsung, but i didn't have all the files that the guy in the video was using and so I'm stuck. Can anyone help me with this or even better create me a Heimdall one click for exhibit so I can save a 150 bucks and not have to buy a new phone. Been working two days straight trying to get it running and now I'm fresh out of ideas. Thanks for anybodies help.

First wrong section...second I had the same problem and this is how I fixed it with Odin....go here and read the section on going back to stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Exhibit_II_4G..... download this http://www.mediafire.com/?9f4lg67htlcfr5j follow directions on wiki and success

I'm sorry this is in the wrong section. Thanks for the help but the link didn't bring anything up for me to read, but I can tell you that Odin won't communicate with my phone, which is why i'm trying to get a Heimdall for it.

if you follow my directions it will....i had the exact same problem with odin not seeing my phone and i followed the wiki and got the odin i linked you to and all was well

I already have that version of Odin. I've already used it probably at least 25 times in various computers and ports and with various cords. Odin doesn't work for me. It won't communicate with my phone. I downloaded the link you gave me and tried it all over again even read the wiki again just to be sure and it doesn't work. Heimdall does work though and that's why i need a one click for it. I'm willing to try other stuff, but I've already tried a lot. I think Heimdall is my best bet.

If you recently bought it, send it too Samsung, I just hard bricked my phone by being stupid, and they gave me a 10$ credit on my account and are fixing it for free

wth is an odin3 unroot, do u mean 1 click restore?
and more importantly you need to get those drivers working or else your computer can't see the phone, which means you cant run odin in the first place. i don't understand want the problem is, you run the .exe file and restart your computer if you have to, just make sure u match 32/64bit of your OS
10 charcater
If you can not get the drivers on the odin thread to work put samsung captivate into google search. Go to official web site. Bottom of page, download manual, click, click software. There is a download for drivers. Try them

[Q] Newbie question, please don't kill me!

So I had an old cyanogen mod flashed on my phone and nothing was going wrong. I think I flashed it in late November 2010, early December 2010. So I was fine with that and then I got bored. So I flashed the Dilli ROM and the market stopped working so I flashed to Serendipity and that's where the real problem started. Every time I would get a call, I would lose service automatically and the call would fail. I just thought it was a problem with the way I flashed it. So I then flashed the Phoenix ROM hoping that would fix the dialer problem but it didn't. I am currently on the newest phoenix ROM and I can download apps from the market, send and receive texts, make calls and even use the internet. The only thing I can't do is receive calls. I know when a call is coming because the phone starts to ring but before it shows me who is calling, it automatically loses service and fails the call. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Is there anything I can do? Any information would really help. Thank you!!
Have you tried flashing to stock?

The fact that you flashed multiple roms without knowing how to flash back to stock is idiotic. Flashing back to stock is the one thing you should know how to do because it can save your phone.
Read this ENTIRE guide and follow it step by step or you will continue to run into the problems you are having. These anomalies cant be diagnosed by us because your phone probably has files from numerous roms on it by now. Flashing back to stock and using a master clear allows you to diagnose issues much easier.

Because I'm an idiot
That's most likely the modem. Find out what modem CM7 uses and as long as it's the same base as you're using now (i9000/i897), find the CWM for that modem and flash it.

You call that a slam? Tearing him apart? You must be a liberal. The ROM-specific stickies are here for a reason. All these posts outside the stickies just make sharing that knowledge you speak of harder. Why is it so hard to comprehend that if there's a sticky with a dedicated subject that maybe that's where any posts on that subject should go? XDA is also about rules and they exist for the benefit of all.
Please use a search before opening a new thread or post rom questions in the provided Q&A rom thread.

Where are all the bricked devices?

I was about to do my tech support rounds like I usually do once per week and provide some support in the "I bricked my device" threads.... But there are none.. Every week about 1 in 3 active threads were along the lines of "Black Screen, odin won't flash", or "help, my Cappy wont turn on".......
Did UnBrickable Mod clean this forum up or are people just not flashing anymore? Is everyone using Heimdall one-click? Either way, it's pretty cool that this problem does not appear to exist anymore.
Lol just cause there is a lull for a week doesn't mean the issue is resolved. just wait, there will be more. I guarantee it.
Not to say your work isn't doing any good, it is. Genius work. But there will always be people who don't read everything and/or are brand new to flashing and make mistakes, not to mention connection issues while flashing boots.
Keep up the good work, i'm sure there will be more bricks for you to rescue

Honestly, I have made just about every noob mistake that can be made over the last 3 weeks and have yet to get myself to a point where I couldn't get the phone in to DL mode. I can't imagine what some of these people must do to get them completely crapped out.
haha thats funny cause i bricked my device last thursday and got the download dongle on monday. but did you say there is a mod that makes it unrickabe?
I think people are becoming smarter and more cautious about flashing bootloaders for no reason.
Here, fix this instead...

Captivate Issue Please Help

Hey guys I just got my Samsung Captivate I wanna use as a backup and well I think I already bricked it. Ive had a Samsung Captivate for a year and I never had this problem but now i am.
I used the AIO Captivate Toolbox and wanted to install the 3 button fix. So I go into Odin and put the PIT and PDA files where they should be and everything goes fine and it even says it passed but now its not turning on at all and it wont respond to a jig either.
i hope someone can help me but im fearing the worst.
AIO toolbox was taken down because the "3 button fix" bricks phones that already have gingerbread bootloaders. i guess.. you could say 3 button fix is included in gingerbread bootloaders.
as the 3 button fix only flashes 1 of 2 bootloaders and was only needed for the VERY first batch of captivates, and was RARELY ever needed although hundreds of people un-needingly flashed it... and still couldnt figure out why they couldnt get 3 button combo to work ( noob error is why).
once the gingerbread bootloader came out, 3 button fix was removed EVERYWHERE possible because it was bricking phones. and if a phone has gingerbread bootloaders it DOES NOT need the 3 button fix.
The phone was on stock firmware though. So I'm guessing my phone is hard bricked?

hey OP, i followed your video last night and after a few unplugs, task kills, etc. finally rooted my device.
i also followed your step to not flash CWM when rooting, but realize I might want to do that now. is it just as simple as plugging in the device again, then changing the option to CWM and clicking Root in wugs tool?
TIA.

That is a fantastic question. I will attempt to do this and get back to you with a response.
I have always rooted my phones after their warranty period has expired. I was waiting to do this with my N7 also but I see the toolkit had the option to return to stock and relock the device so I assume there is no warranty issue. Also rooting has come a long way and gotten much simpler than 1 to 2 years ago when I was rooting my G1, think will be rooting my N7 this weekend
