Hey, thanks! We're trying but attempt #1 was a crash and burn. I'd rather be inflicting pain on myself but it's hard when you don't own the phone. Attempted #2 is being uploaded to Goo now.

I appreciate that. The ROM is all about stable, not bling. I only add the things I needed to make the ROM a daily driver without going overboard. Having said that though, we'll be all over any new builds like a you know what on you know what.

Give the mirror a shot. That one points to dev-host.

Wow! I have always gone back to stock after trying custom roms and kernels because none of them matched the smoothness this phone has out of the box. I've been waiting patiently for a stock build and imagine my luck when it happens to come from my favorite developer! Your build actually beats stock in the smoothness department (and I have my wife's stock phone to test it against) and my phone seems to run a bit cooler in the time I've been using it. Looking forward to seeing how it goes for battery. Thanks so much, mmuzzy!

[ROM] MoDaCo Custom ROM Ir1 for the Galaxy S III - new: Trackball Alert support

I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo Custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III (Quad Core Exynos version)! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
About MoDaCo Custom ROMs (MCRs)
MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs - either shipping or leaked. A MCR release is designed to feel as far as possible like a stock ROM, with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience. The aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device. MoDaCo Custom ROMs include online kitchens that allow the user to choose between stock ICS or Touchwiz style for most features on the device!
Requirements
In order to use this ROM you must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed - this can be installed using CF-Root by ChainfireXDA.
The ROM is installed at your own risk. The ROM should be installed using ClockworkMod. A wipe is NOT required to use this ROM if you are coming from either stock, or a previous MCR release.
Features Include... (many optional via the Online Kitchen) - check kitchen defaults for what is in the prebake:
Rebuilt, compressed and optimised with the MCR build system
Based on the most recent UK release
Trackball Alert support!
All Google applications updated
All third party applications updated
Vanilla option using stock ICS components instead of Touchwiz components while retaining stability and core Samsung functionality
Superuser application and su binary from ChainfireXDA (SuperSU) for SAFE root functionality
Insecure boot image and secure boot image with adb root patched ADB
Busybox included
Not odexed
Alternative appstores (shortly!)
Our own 'OdexMe' on-demand odex application (shortly!)
init.d support on boot
Nosync SQLite binary (user request)
Much much much more!

Support
If you have a general question, please post in the topic and i'll do my best to help out!
Thanks
It's impossible to mention everyone who contributes to the Android community by name, but to everyone out there who does great work and shares it with us all - you have my gratitude and respect.
Future Updates - READ THIS!
By providing this ROM I am not implying in any way that future updates will follow. Due to limits on my time and the fact that I have a large number of devices for short periods of time, it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not donate / sign up on the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!).
And finally...
Details on how to donate should you wish to do so are in the download topic at MoDaCo.

F.A.Q:
Q: What is this bionic that you speak of?
A: I'm going to let morfic answer this.
morfic said:
bionic is the "libc" of android, there are hardware optimized memcpy/memset and a few others for cortex-a9 and/or armv7-a, but also others specifically for krait, using those instead of stock bionic versions perform the same job a lot better than the more generic versions in aosp.
That affects memory throughput significantly and anything where you move data and need memory throughput using those functions will benefit from it.
there are other (math) functions that can be optimized more for the particular hardware
hope this helps

Q: Can you pleeeeeease put in theme chooser?? Please????
A: No. No. NO!
Q: Why not?!?!
A: Because this ROM is meant to be as close as stock as possible with none to minimal tweaks. If you want theme chooser, there are many wonderful ROMs out there that has it.
Q: Then can you add _________?
A: Depends on if I think it is necessary. Ask in this thread. I'll reply with my response and see if it is possible.
Q: What kernel should I use with this ROM?
A: Hmm, that's like saying what should I put on my salad. Seriously, it's all on your "taste". You own a nexus for crying out loud! There are so many wonderful devs in this nexus community. You have no idea how lucky you are. I came from a Motorola triumph. Man there were like 5 devs.. That's it. All of them are great and their kernels are as well.
Q: OMG!! I love your ROM blah blah. Where can I donate?
A: Please don't. I do this for the community. I do it for free. I'm too young to be accepting donations anyways. I'm glad you like and enjoy my ROM. If you like it, please press thanks as it's there for a reason and vote 5 stars for this thread That's all I want on return.

Running great so far! Thank you very much for a clean stock ROM.
Not bugs or anything, but I noticed under About phone it states Android 4.2, not Android 4.2.1. Also for some reason I have two Calendar apps (AOSP & Play Market Version). For gapps, I installed gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip.
Edit: Or maybe this is JOP40C/4.2?

[ROM][P75x0/p4wifi/p4][JB4.2]Carbon-Mackay (6-Aug)

I have been compiling InfamousAOKP as well as Paranoid Android for the galaxy tab (P7510/p4wifi & P7500/p4). Although I like the HALO feature of PA, I also found several features lacking in PA. Then I came across Carbon ROM:
http://goo.im/devs/carbon
They make a ROM based on AOSP, merging key features of CM, AOKP & PA. This, combined with Linaro used for ROM building, results in an impressive ROM -> high speed & versatility. I decided to port this ROM to our device as well.
Details 6-Aug release
Upstream source code of 5-August (including further improvements to HALO)
-> If coming from anything before the 11-July build, you have to reflash gapps!
Details 18-July release
Upstream source code of 18 July (including further improvements to HALO)
-> If coming from anything before the 11-July build, you have to reflash gapps!
Details 14-July release
Upstream source code of 14 July (including many improvements to HALO)
Build for both p4 & p4wifi
Latest Infamous 2.3 kernel
-> If coming from anything but the 11-July build, you have to reflash gapps!
Details 11-July release
Upstream source code of 11 July
-includes the important security patch of CM10.1.1
Infamous kernel 2.1:
-many updates to wifi & modem
This build will require a reflash of your gapps packages, normal backup/restore of gapps will work again from the next build!
Details 18-June beta release
Infamous 1.9 kernel:
-Fix fox l2_hsic problem
Improved wifi driver (from pershoot)
ROM:
-Update codebase 18-Jun
-HALO comes with a master switch so it can be disabled (default = disabled, so you have to activate it the first time booting)
-Small improvements to p4-common device tree (should make things smoother)
Details 12-June
-Source code 13/06/2013 (with Halo; you need to use PhabletUI to activate Halo, you can then switch to tabletUI)
-ROM build with Linaro 4.7 toolchain/O3, but kernel with 4.6 (to prevent reboot issues).
-Infamous kernel 1.7
Not extensively tested yet, so that is also why I added the alpha in the topic title!
I have only built this ROM for p4wifi/p4.
If you want to build it for another device, you can find the source code on my github:

PA gapps:

Just one note: the PA gapps are extremely fully packed. I have no interest in 50+% of the apps included, so I removed them before flashing from the zip file (on a Windows PC you can use e.g. 7zip to do that).

Wow... This will be the Rootbox for the tablet. Count with me to test. :good:
aokp + CM + PA is the best combination of features and I'm using for months on Galaxy Nexus (maguro).
p4 version online now.
Same codebase as p4wifi, which works fine on p4wifi, but I did not test this ROM on p4. So be prepared for the worst when installing this!
Download:

Installed on P4 without any problems so far. (I'm not using a simcard though).
Looking forward to future releases. Infamous Rom felt more smooth...

But I'll have little internet connection for next 3 days... I'll test, but I'll wait until next week.
Thanks for the release and hope you do not abandon the development.

You can also use the gapps from the CM10.1 thread. The PA ones are simply more updated (and contain a better keyboard).
Thanks, works great!
Great ROM
Installed this mornig. Really impressed with features and performance. Thank you!
Congrats to Kasper
He did it again.
Smooth Rom.
Unfortunately no option to remove the Google search bar & enlarge the screen.
That's why I chose for his PA Rom
Keep up the good work

Seem to be having issues with Google Now. It loads and then closes. I tried clearing data from the App settings but this didn't help at all. It get all the way to loading the keyboard and then closes. Ideas?

You have to go GoogleNow settings (once it starts, immediately hit the settings button (3 vertical dots) in the lower right corner and uncheck "Block offensive words" and other privacy-related checkboxes you might have there. Of course, you have to hit the settings button very quickly since you GNow shuts down fast upon open. The key here is that in order to stop GNow from foreclosing, you have to get to GNow settings.
Alternatively, use cLock settings (look for them in Android Settings) to add a settings button to the taskbar, and then start GNow and hit that newly-added Settings button, which acts as a normal application-related settings button once you open any app. Then proceed to changing the GNow settings that I mentioned above.
I like the ROM. Really.
It feels like mey Galaxy Nexus on PA linaro.
Only the Phablet interface was a little... slow, but normal Tablet interface works fine for me.
Keep it up

I prefer Apex launcher, even better than Trebuchet
I prefer the additional settings in Carbon over PA. I was mainly missing the navbar customization from AOKP

Installation Instructions
Make sure you are on the latest TWRP Recovery! Seems like CWM is finicky with Android L
1) Perform a Nandroid Backup of your current setup just to be safe!
2) Wipe Data & Cache/Factory Reset (if you experience issues, it's probably due to a dirty flash over an old version)
3) Flash ROM
4) Flash GAPPS (optional) (Thanks BaNKs!)
5) Flash 105/33 Hybrid Radio for LTE (Thanks hybrid radio team!)
6) Flash SuperSU Update (Thanks Chainfire!)

I don't get it with the lte!!!! You have to change band to have lte or you can stay in the same ? I mean if you use lte , at the same time you can make a phone call or maybe because of the band you could use only lte?
Thanks for the ROM

I don't quite understand your question, but LTE works for data if your mobile carrier supports LTE on Band 4 specifically. This has to do with the hardware limitations of the chip that is built into the phone. For example, LTE works for me because I'm on T-Mobile (US) in an area that's covered with their LTE towers.
I've regularly seen speedtests above 20 Mb/s depending on where you are.

First install: Put ROM and GAPPS zips in Internal Storage, go to recovery, wipe System, Dalvik and Cache. Flash ROM + GAPPS and reboot. To avoid issues, I recommend wipe Data too but you can try a dirty flash. After this, if you want Root, flash SuperSU (link below).

Hi @ASAPSEVEN, I am following this since R1 but can not use it because of Mega, will it be possible to make a mirror on anywhere else.
Thanks...
Just downloading. I'll test in few minutes
Well, dirty flashed over second preview. Lots of FC
Now clean flash...
No offense intended, but if you didn't build this and are just sharing I believe it is better suited in General section, not Development section. That being said, I'm downloading it now. I saw on G+ it works on MultiROM. Giving it a shot right now, thanks for sharing!
Edit: Confirmed working fine as a secondary ROM using MultiROM. Built in kernel & SuperSU 2.16

Man the rom is very well put together.
Installs without any drama and all the apps can be updated or installed from the play store with ease without getting any errors even google+.
I would recommend the dev to properly put up the OP and take credit for his work as this is by far the best AOSP lollipop available.
Amazing stuff,
And thanks for sharing.
