[Q] i9305 CM10 - is this false? - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

I had an i9300 (first Android phone) and loved installing all these different ROMs and whatnot, and then got the i9305 upon release, and much to my dismay there is hardly any development going on for this phone.
Oh well, Nova Launcher quenched my stock Android thirst -enough- whilst I wait for a stock android release on this hardware, and after leaving it for some time I almost forgot about it.
Then I noticed Premium Suite, and lyriquidperfections pre-rooted ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942150).
After looking to see if CM10 exists on the i9305 yet I came across this website, which contradicts discussion going on in the development thread here (can't post due to being newbie so sorry if this isn't in the right place).
http://www.techethon.com/update-galaxy-s3-i9305-4g-to-android-4-2-1-via-cyanogenmod-10-1/
Is this legit? Just wondering...
Thanks guys, I love this community <3

Lmfao, he mention cm 10.1 for the Epic 4g, he have no idea what he's talking about! It's two completely different phones. Don't try download what he says!
*edit*
Clicked the link and it brought me to the unofficial CM 10.1 for the i9305 which is still in pre alpha, it cant be downloaded yet.
Wow, the guy who wrote that article is really confusing me!

[Q] Android 2.3.3

Hi guys,
I was wondering - There are a lot of builds of the Android 2.3.3 for other devices. When do you think we will see a Gingerbread rom for the LG ? Could some devs look into the 2.3.3 and see if specific things like Camera, Wifi, bluetooth etc could be directly implemented? I know work like this is going on for other devices..
Hey,
the dev team behind cyanogen mod 7 is working on a port for the LG optimus 2X. CyanogenMod 7 is an modified Rom from AOSP Gingerbread 2.3.3. In the next few week you can be sure that you will get a Gingerbread Rom.
Today i have read that LG will release an update to 2.3.3 this april. 2 Weeks after OTA 2.3.3 you will se some amazing stuff on like custom roms on 2.3.3....
Only be in patience dude ;-)
sry for my bad english :-(

Hehe, thanx - But..
Look at my signature m8 - I have a HTC Desire with Android 2.3.3 on it and i know of the changes - I wont have Android 2.3.3 on my device, just for the version - I want a rom that works
On the HTC Desire i recommend you MIUI 1.4.1 and CyanogenMod RC4. Both are very stable and based on 2.3.3.
Any chance to see the miui Rom on our LG?

This is good news! So the update will finally come to optimus x2. Is it possible to update the phone using ..say Paul's rom or do you have to revert the phone back to stock for update to work?

Some people just shouldnt be allowed to post in here, but hey, just ignore it.. I have been following the Android development since almost day one, and it seems that the devs on other roms/devices are a little more experienced in the coded stuff than the ones yet to play with the Optimus 2x(No offence to any1 i hope), but i would like to know what exact issues there are, related to modding the current 2.3.3 builds for the Optimus. If anyone knows ?
ewm how do i put this ... screenshots or it didnt happen anyone???

Yeah, I think drivers as well. Now that LG has released their p990 source as well it shouldn't be too long until the LG 2.2 drivers have been ported to 2.3... I hope.

[Q] ICS ROM for I9001 SGS Plus any dev working ???

Just want the info that any developer is working ICS Port for Galaxy S Plus or No
Every project seems dead. The guys at droidxda blog pretended to have one, but apart from a not even booting build there were no news. Asked several times over their facebook page and got no reply.
So: unfortunately not.

yes seems like zackconsole doesn't have time anymore to try to mix something up. i guess our only hope is in skywalker and YardE to finish the CM7 port and start with CM9
Means I9001 user will not taste flavour of ICS.

[Q] Please Port FlymeOS For Galaxy S

Hello Xda Devlopers, yesterday i was checking out new roms for my Galaxy S GT i9000, and came across this os called FlymeOS. Looks very different. I have tried Miui, CM9/10, Joy, Meso,etc.....Mostly i do change my Rom Every 10 to 15 days.
Because i got bored of my recent rom which is MIUI V4. I wanted to try Something new so was searching on google.
And FlymeOS can be a Great Development to rom list of GT I9000 Device.
I saw development going on in GT-I9001 for FlymeOS.
So wondering to ask, if any one can start a development section for This OS, it will be a nice addition.
Thank you

Tried this link " http://www.android.gs/update-galaxy-s-i9000-with-flyme-os-v1-0-5/ "and all the link are similar on every website. The problem is the OS zip file whenever i am trying to flash, it gives error in recovery with some text and GT-I9100 in most of it...so i guess that port is for S2 not S.
FYI we've a nice porting now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355333
It's an Alpha but it's good!

Hi, Sure... But when???
Here in Sweden we just got 4.1.2. So i assume we have some monts of waiting..
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will be revealed for the new Google Phone during Google I/O in May 2013.
So hope to get the 4.2 in May.
Exact but it is not small differences between the 4.1.2 and the 4.2..So i prefer to update direct to 5.0
Hi,
scumpi if I'm sure of something about you is you'll not wait until the 5.0 realease before a next flash.

Now there is both CM10.1 in alpha and a RC of LiquidSmooth.
None of them is perfect yet, but with the speed of development the last couple of weeks I think its just a matter of days.
As mentioned in the previous posts, yea there are roms for 4.2.1/2 already! like CM10.1 and Liquidsmooth (4.2.2)
Personally I would say go for LiquidSmooth. For now, it has better support and lesser bugs
I've tried Android 4.2.1 with CM mod but it's a little bit disappointing. I can't see any real useful changes so far.

no, Samsung will not release Exynos sources, so it will never be final
I hate to say it but we are either gonna get more support in next months or less support.
With the s4 coming, I predict that most devs will move on and go to that

Paranoid Beta 5 ROM for GT i9305

Hello,
I just recently rooted my Samsung GT i9305 and completed a nandroid backup on CWM. I was wondering if I could still use the Paranoid Beta 5 ROM for Samsung GT i9305. I've tried flashing it and gave me Installation Error 7, which basically means that CWM checked the rom and wasn't the right rom for GT i9305. Is there a fix for the Error 7 or should I just get another ROM instead? Any Android L look alternatives? Hazy Rom is one but thats for GT i9300 aswell :/

This may sound naive, but why are developers having such a hard time building ROMS for the the LTE International Version of the GS3 when, compared to the i9300 model, is exactly the same (but of course we have more 1GB more RAM). All the ROMS for the i9305 model are all very dated. Kit Kat is know history, please bring Lollipop to the i9305! Loving material design by the way Good on ya Google!:good

Yeah I saw pics of PA and I was addicted! But I checked their site and the i9300 was part of their "legacy" program, maintaining Paranoid for i9300 International and US users. Therefore, I doubt they will make one for i9305 since two years is probably the ending time for OS updates, but of course its different for custom ROMS. I still hope that they do develop one though :/ But don't get your hope up.

Really?! I didn't know that we had PA? But it would make sense when they created the ROM for i9300 that they would make one for the i9305. But that really is a pity. So are there anyone on xda willing to build on PA? As you said, I think there may be building problems with PA so people may be unmotivated to build it.
