Galaxy mini = galaxy pop (no need to port)
Galaxy mini ≠ galaxy pop plus (need port)
Galaxy pop = gt–s5570
Galaxy pop plus = gt–s5570i

Upgrade your recovery. Use RZ Recovery or CWM 5.0.2.8.
BTW, you should wait atleast 5-10 minutes in Android screen.

I waited for almost 15 mins..3-4 times after flashing rom. I'll try now upgrading recovery..

CWM Touch Recovery for Galaxy Ace

I'm currently running CWM Recovery 5.0.2.6 on my Galaxy Ace. I've been warned away from using ROM Manager by basically everybody. But I want to install CWM Touch Recovery on my Ace, and ROM Manager seems to be the only way to do that.
First, is CWM Touch Recovery compatible with the Galaxy Ace?
Second, has ROM Manager improved? I bricked an Ace last February trying to flash CWM Recovery (it didn't have the my model listed). Current version is 5.0.0.8. Can I use it to safely flash CWM Touch Recovery (assuming Touch Recovery is compatible with Galaxy Ace?
Third, is there any place I can get CWM Touch Recovery for the Galaxy Ace without using ROM Manager?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dude as you have said. You have been warned by everybody for using rom manager. But if you still insist on using it, feel free. Its your choice! I think there is already a cwm touch recovery for ace. Search in ace development section. But I think its buggy and discontinued.

It's a good idea... this section is full of developers, can anyone developers this version for our ace? If you found something around the forum, you should share it here... I'll keep my eyes open... bye.:good:

I'm not disagreeing with you; ask the audience usually works. But everything I'm seeing telling me not to use ROM Manager is almost a year old (fall 2011 or earlier), and this is a very recent version of ROM Manager that recognizes my phone, where all the older versions didn't.
Is there anyone who has used ROM Manager 5.0.0.6 or 5.0.0.8 on their Galaxy Ace? If so, please let me know how it went, good or bad.

Everyone told you not to use Rom manager. But if you still want to use it,go ahead,Use it,brick your device. If you want to mess your phone up,thats fine with us.Just please don't come crying here telling that you messed your phone up by using Rom manager,if you refuse to hear what people say,its your problem.
Rom Manager is a touch and go thingy for SGA,it works sometimes, sometimes doesn't.

the rooting of ics is very easy, just go to dr katan thtead, download update.zip to your sdcard, and install it from stock recovery, and now you can flash your phone with pc odin to have any stock rom again, be carfull dont wipe any thing while you are using stock kernel

Pls help,Can't get into any recovery at all

Hi everyone
I have just gotten a Samsung galaxy mini. I rooted it and unlocked it okay.
But then I wanted to flash rom and stuff, so I downloaded Odin, and flashed cwm, but... When Odin says pass, it press home + power and the Samsung screen flashed twice and sticks.
But the strangest thing is that it can still boot into android sometimes.
I am on android 2.2.1
iBook anybody can help as it is worrying me a lot
before flashing rom or CWM you will need to upgrade to gingerbread either through odin or Kies
and then flash cwm and after that flash rom with cwm
Thanks for the reply
I can't seem to upgrade via kies, can you provide a link that contains stock Roms for my samsung that can be upgraded via Odin.
Is there any chance of bricking at all?
Do you need any other info?
Thanks

just flash any custom rom now, you don't need root for that and most of custom roms are pre-rooted

Galaxy Mini 2 (s6500L) Stock Rom

Hi everyone!
For everyone that has s6500L (Galaxy Mini 2 - Latinamerican version)[/URL] and didn't found the stock ROM, or flashed the s6500XXLD2 Rom and gives an error.

Flash via Odin.
This is my very first post. I recently bought a new phone and i decided for a Galaxy Mini 2.
Then I started to try new Rom, but every post said that it need to flash first a new stock Rom.
All Roms are based on Samsung Stock s6500XXLD2, and are made for s6500/s6500D but not for s6500L.
When I attempt to flash that Rom, Odin gives me an error, I imagine its due to baseband of this phone.
After searching in internet, I found this stock Rom for s6500L that i foud compatible with Peter's Rom. The Rom comes from Panamá and is very stable (in one month using it and I didn't found any issue).

[Q] Rom 4.4 and Recovery for GT-I8200N

Hey there.
I have my galaxy S3 mini GT-I8200N with android 4.2.2 and i wonder if there is update to 4.4 ?
I also installed recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.7-golden.tar but I can't use, when I enter the recovery I enter in the original android recovery, not the clockwork. Sorry my english, can someone help me? :fingers-crossed:
custom recovery possible ?
Hey,
First is your phone rooted?
Otherwise look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2725346 :good:
I have an other question for someone who knows more about this than I do:
When this phone (Galaxy S3 mini Value Edition i8200) is rooted, are you then able to install a custom recovery or even every custom recovery?
For exampel: twrp 2.7 or cwm 6.0.2.7 or PhilzRecovery or another ? Then you could also make a Nandroid backup.
I've searched for some info about this special Q but I looked at the wrong place I think, cause I didn't find any answer.
I know there is no custom ROM yet to install.
But in the meantime you can use Link2SD to move apps to the sd-card.
Hopefully someone is able to work on a custom ROM.
yes is rooted.
My previous phone was the galaxy W 4.4.2 now I have this one I'm not accustomed to the 4.2.2 lol
