[Q] Is the Bell SGH-T679M same as Exhibit 2? - Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G

Hey, I'm planning on installing recovery, rooting, and then installing a new rom, but I was wondering, since I already bricked an GSII mixing up different country version, is the Bell SGH-T679M the same as the Exhibit II? The only difference is the T-Mobile Exhibit II is missing the 'm' after T679

I already replied to your PM, but for anyone else wondering, the answer is YES, they are the same.
Samsung Exhibit II 4G
Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G
Samsung SGH-T679
Samsung SGH-T679M
ALL THE SAME!
I swear, this should be pinned... Would probably save a lot of confusion

Hello, are you on stock rom? If so, could you please upload your system/build.prop and /proc/cmdline?
Anyone, please upload the files, I can't find a firmware for your phone in the net. Or the complete firmware, if possible (sammobile doesn't have it).

@MightyPlatypus what is the stock Android version on your phone?

Samsung Captivate or Vibrant Firmware on the Galaxy S: Possible??

Hi, because Samsung-Firmware announced that they will update their site with firmware of the Samsung Captivate and Vibrant, I was wondering if this flashware can also flashed on a Galaxy S.
Why? I just want to experiment with it and look if the GPS problems are solved with the firmware of that devices (I never heard anyone talking of severe GPS problems on these devices, so)
It's different models with its own firmwares.

but then again, I see in the captivate forums that they are happily flashing Galaxy S firmware. They only have to update the kernel after an update to fix some little things:

Tmobile galaxy note compatible with att roms?

So just wondering is it possible for the t mobile galaxy note be converted to an att galaxy note?
reason why im curious is because technically if they were the same phone or at least if we could turn our phones into att galaxy note wouldnt that also mean we could run att roms on our galaxy note? Has anyone tried flashing the tmobile note with an att rom, then flashing the modem over ?

Yes you can use the att touchwiz roms but must flash t-mobile boot.img and modem right after. Or you will have problems tomin.fhl has everything you need in the dev section.

A question about unlocking.

Hello people. I was thinking of getting an s3 mini and unlock it to work with tmobile. That is, if it it's on tmobile's network. But I wanted to know, which roms would I install? International roms? Tmobile? Or original carrier roms? Thanks in advance.

The international roms should technically work fine, and as far as I'm aware, there's no custom roms for the tmobile's s3 mini (not sure if there is a s3 mini for t-mobile). You're talking about the the i8190 right?

If it's not the i8190/L/N/P or the T599/N/V or the G370A and its variants, you're in the wrong forum.
If you meant the Galaxy Exhibit 4G: http://forum.xda-developers.com/exhibit-4g
If you mean this: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2420977,00.asp then you're in the right forum (flash any of the T599 roms, so far there's CM10.1, CM10.2 CM11, BeanStalk and OmniROM custom roms, and CWM/TWRP/Phils Recovery available for the phone)

You do not have the N7000 but the korean one with different hardware. You won't find custom roms here.
Search in the
AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717
forum. There you'll find infos about this devices. Please search for threads with "SHV-E160K".

Well i mean the hardware of mine and hardware of N7000 is exactly same
Only difference is i have TV tuner antenna which is common in samsung devices in south korea
As I said: when you checked that the hardware is exactly the same, you can do what you want. No need to ask here if you do not want to listen.
You were directed to where to find roms for your device. If you think its exactly the same then do as you please.

LineageOS Question [Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T818W]

Hi, everyone!
I just picked up a Galaxy Tab S2 through my carrier (Bell) last night, and I've been searching for some custom ROMs to install. I can see that there's plenty of support for the other model numbers, but very limited for my own. I remember when I had my Galaxy S7 Edge, the model ending in 'F' could also be used with my Canadian variant 'W'.
Does this apply to this product as well? If so, which ROM should work with my variant?
P.S - I've already rooted/installed TWRP.
Thanks so much!
Hello. I got the same device SM-T818W through Rogers. Im looking for the twrp file to flash via Odin. Which version worked for you?
Hey have either of you determined how to get these SM-T818W rooted?! I've been looking for months...
