Official MIUI 2.12.29 rebooting into recovery - HTC Incredible S

Hi
I recently downloaded 2.12.29 Official MIUI ROM from http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/2-12-28-29.19143/
However, after flashing, when I reboot the phone, the phone stucks at HTC white screen for a couple of minutes and then reboots into recovery..
The only strange stdout I see during installation is :
>> format system
>> do not formate system
Has anyone come across such issues.. are there any known workarounds..
Help appreciated..
EDIT: I follow the following steps for flashing:
1. Factory reset
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe dalvik cache
4. format system
5. install ROM
6. wipe cache
7. wipe dalvik cache
8. flash boot.img
>> 6,7 because I read on one of the MIUI forums that if the ROM is flashed on a phone already running an MIUI then these steps are required..

Looks like issue is resolved after following the documentation at: http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/how-to-update-upgrade-miui.15424/

[Q&A] Missing Play Store or others after Flashing ROM and Gapps

Mainly caused by not properly following the steps below
1. Boot into CwM or TWRP recovery.
Wipe cache, dalvik cache and data.
2. Flash rom.zip. and Reboot.
Allow tab up to 20 minutes (usually takes much less time) to reboot to the initial Setup screen.
Complete the initial setup (CM Account setup is optional).
3. Go to Settings, and enable Developer Options, allow installation from Unknown Sources,
enable Android Debugging, enable Advanced Reboot, etc. and then Reboot.
4. install GApps.
My experience is that the most important parts are
A. wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and wipe data, if you are not sure, you can do this every time before flashing any .zip and before booting. It won't hurt to wipe it many times.
B. make sure completed configuring all the setting on step 3, including "allow installation from Unknown Sources", before install GApps.
If you believe any step is not right or not necessary, please let me know.

Wdym? All variants doesn't matter lmao
I'm on A705MN running latest TWRP and your instructions are not very clear. Here is what I am doing and get a bootloop
I advanced wipe cache, dalvik, data, system, internal storage
I format data and type "yes".
install add files for zip of rom, then add second zip of DM-verity
Both flash fine; do not reboot, but go to TWRP home and format data again per your instructions, type "yes"
then reboot system...and I get boot loop.
If my order is wrong please clarify.
Any prints?

Failed to install custom rom on Ali G6 XT1925-6, please advise!

This is what I did from stock rom android 9:
1. Boot phone to download mode
2. Fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.5.0_9-0-ali.img
3. Boot into recovery TWRP
4. Wipe > swipe to factory reset
5. Wipe > Format data
6. Wipe > Advanced wipe
7. Wipe: Davik/ART Cache, Cache, Data, Internal Storage, and system.
8. Install PixelExperience_ali-10.0-20201122-2316-UNOFFICIAL.zip
Install failed error 255
I did Try other rom like RevengeOS-3.2-Q-OFFICIAL-ali-20200713-0913.zip but also failed
Please advise!
Turn out these 2 : twrp-v3.2.3-ali.img and twrp-v3.2.3-unofficial-ali_20181110.img won't flash custom rom even after I wipe and format data. The only on that work is mali.img from here:
TWRP 64
So, official ali twrp is 32 bit and most custom roms are 64 bit !?

I'm not a developer, I just found the ROM and wanted to post it here, so I'm not responsible for any damage to your device, do it at your own risk.
Steps I did to install it:
1- Backup.
2- Download the latest stable version of the ROM.
3- Start recovery mode.
4- Delete Cache, Dalvik Cache and System. (In my case it was not necessary to delete the internal storage, or vendor, if you delete something else I do not promise that the installation will work)
5- Now flash the ROM .zip file (Shouldn't take long).
6- Clear Dalvik Cache and reboot the system.
Download ROM: https://download.pixelexperience.org/mi439
you should also format data, lots of issues with working around not wanting to do so
