I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom Jelly Bean ROM for the LG Nexus 4! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
About MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROMs
MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROMs are based on CyanogenMod nightly ROMs. While a MCR release is designed to feel like a stock ROM with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience and the aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device, a MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROM blends the great tweaks and features of CyanogenMod with the goodness of a MCR to hopefully create a 'best of both worlds'.
Requirements
In order to use this ROM you must have a custom recovery installed. The ROM is installed at your own risk. A wipe IS recommended if coming from a ROM other than MCR or stock. BACK UP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE INSTALLATION!
MCR Nexus ROM features Include... (many optional via the Online Kitchen) - check kitchen defaults for what is in the prebake:
Based on CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies (the aim is to update the ROM every Friday), updated, rebuilt, compressed and optimised with the MCR build system.
For this MCR we've compiled a CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly build, updated with all the latest versions of the installed apps, which we've run through our scripts to ensure that it is as optimised as possible both for install / download size and real life performance.

De-odexed... re-odexable.
Our ROMs are de-odedex, giving you the ability to flash other mods over the top, tweak the system and generally get the system set up as you want it without worrying about odex issues. We also include the 'OdexMe' application, which lets you odex your system when you're ready, saving valuable space on your data partition.

Pre-rooted
All MCR ROMs are pre-rooted with SuperSU preinstalled. In addition, the kitchen allows you to choose between secure, insecure and secure with patched ADB boot images.

Apps aren't disabled on boot
Jelly Bean added a feature to disable apps on boot that aren't intended for your region (Wallet, Ears, Magazines etc.). I think we're smart enough to make that decision ourselves right? So that doesn't happen in a MCR.

Legacy Play Store
Isn't it frustrating how Google removed the ability in the Play Store to see which apps you'd bought in a nice simple list? I thought so... so I created 'Legacy Play Store', which has this feature.

Legacy browser and Flash
Google might be ditching the stock browser for Chrome and Adobe might have canned Flash, but we still need to use it sometimes... so it's included in a MCR.

nice paul! gonna poke around a bit, glad to see compiling Cm10.1 for us as well!

Let me know what you think!
I've used it on my daily driver since Friday as a torture test and it's running great.
P

Thanks Paul! MCR goodness/smoothness with the customizations of CM10.1. I'll try it out this week (I've been enjoying Jellybro's CM builds)!

You know, I really wanted to leave my Nexus 4 as stock as possible. But I took the plunge and tried your other release for it, LOVED IT! Stock but with the handful of tweaks/mods I just can't live without. And now you went and released this. [shakes head in amusement] Have you no sympathy for us recovering ROM flashing addicts?! Jk. Look forward to loading this up as soon as it finishes downloading. If it's anything like your other ROM I know someone who's going to be rocking a new daily driver. This guy!

Running like a champ. Thanks boss.

hey paul,
thanks for the amazing work with Jr1! loving almost every part of it!
I'm just having some troubles getting light flow to work properly with it, it worked fine with Jr5, and i've tried using root mode, etc. I prefer it over the system notification because i have more control over the LEDs. Would you be able to look into it?
Thanks!

I'll have a look at that for you!
P

Just a quick note - MCR and MCMCR (my CyanogenMod based custom ROM) have enhanced 'dirty flash' tolerance - I have successfully flashed between the two with no issues. Nice eh?

Did you use the pre-bake or a custom kitchen bake? If a kitchen bake, did you tick the Trackball Alert option?

Nice effort and great thanks to Paul. He has overcome some issues in current CM nightly, such as Terminal, Wallet, stock keyboard. This ROM also stop the prohibition of Google service outside US and you do not worry that Books, Magazines disappear.
I come from CM 10.1 nightly /Maddoggin and will keep Paul's ROM for a while. I will try the Franco kernel with this ROM.

Does this rom include Trebuchet or stock launcher with rotation support?

Just run Quadrant Benchmark and get great score as attached screenshot.

Thanks BeeGee... this is the first ROM CM9 based with Samsung Apps enabled that I flashed... maybe is the only one around!? Very good work, smooth and solid. Only one issue: Google auto apps restore don't work. Can you investigate about it?
Keep up the good work!
soooo, tried out on my P7501 3G works for me well too! Great work....
wondering 2 things: you can also install the samsung widgets? then the problem I had with the first flicker of CM9 10 days ago has disappeared? thanks much in advance

On mine it works! I flashed yesturday 2times and evertime google installed directly...
Looks very tasty...
Does the lockscreen functionality work, i.e., ability to set lockscreen app short cuts (targets). This wasn't working on a recent version of CM9 while this worked perfectly on Milestone. Also LCD density didn't work on CM9 and worked on Milestone.

I need to mention the required version of GApps in post #1. When you use Goo Manager (should work soon, I am testing it with the Mai 29 version) it will suggest the correct GApps version.
So far very stable and no random reboot...just one thing, is it just me or is flash not showing example on this xda website...I've tried to reinstall flash player but still not showing up.
Connecting to PC
Hi my friends, another "problem" is for me, that the Tab will not connect into MTB Modus to PC, Debugging works when i connect, but i can`t open my Tab as Harddisc-Drive on Windows 7 Ultimate, drivers are installed surely! Is there any chance to get it work!? In moment i have to use MobilePhone Explorer, but it`s not the best way to store datas between Tab and PC!

Just checked and you are correct. With this build of CM9 there seem to be a problem with flash. I will try to find out if CyanogenMod is aware of the problem or if it is only my build.

BeeGee, your rom is already unique due to Samsung Apps integration (waiting for official Touchwiz framework integration, of course). To make your rom even more special, you could modify Pershoot kernel to improve overclock capabilities. In my opinion our devices can reach 1.6 GHz and even more. That would be an interesting experience to make these tablets really fly.
Time ago, I read that Pershoot himself is not interested in overclock but he said that everyone could improve that, editing sources and rebuilding, so I assume that Pershoot wouldn't be upset if you modify it for your rom.
If my question was unpolite to you, I'm sorry.
Keep up the good work.

I tried my tablet on 1.4GHz and it got unstable, not sure if the 1.6GHz is really safe. Running it now on the standards (CPU Governor INTERACTIVE, Min CPU f=216, Max CPU f=1GHz) and my tablet already flies, my battery time is +12h with GPS and 3G all time on. Have to say that I use ADW launcher instead of the Trebouchet launcher, that might change the usage feeling as well.
For messing with a kernel I have to learn a lot more things, maybe someone with more experience can do it.

Can you provide the info on how to get trackball alert working on other custom roms i.e. Omega
Will trackball alert work with any custom rom?

One of the things i cannot stand with the official moto build is that dialer. Is there any way you could include the dialer from AOSP in this build? Perhaps even the AOSP text application as well?
Even more so...and this might be out of the question but I figured I would at least ask What would be the chances of a pure AOSP 4.1.2 build for this phone? I don't know of any out there that exist that anyone completed. 4.2.2 builds are nice but until VZW and Moto release a 4.2 update I'm afraid the 4.2 based ROM's will be borked due to unreleased 4.2 binaries for the hardware on the phone. But I would be happy with a pure AOSP 4.1.2 working rom

I am only seeing 4.2.2 builds from him now. He had a screen shot once of a 4.1.2 pure AOSP build but nothing posted that i can find.
I have no idea why 4.1.2 builds were abandoned in favor of 4.2.2 builds...sure 4.2.2 offers some new cool things that miss but I would rather have a fully functional 4.1.2 AOSP rom before a buggy 4.2.2 AOSP rom. Sad to see people abandon the CM 10 builds so quickly in favor of CM 10.1.

Hmm yeah I think everyone has pretty much abandoned 4.1.2. I agree with you, even stock 4.1.2 on the Nexus 7 felt cleaner, faster, and more polished than stock 4.2.2.

Not sure if you misunderstood my post or I am misunderstanding yours. I want to use this ROM as i think the 4.1.2 builds are superior to the 4.2.2 builds. I was just wondering if it were possible to get the AOSP dialer and message client in there. Also was wondering if perhaps you were ever considering a 4.1.2 pure AOSP build as a project.

You're absolutely correct, I completely misunderstood what you were saying and I apologize.
I doubt I'll be adding anything in that is AOSP. That completely misses the point of this ROM. This is supposed to be as close to stock as possible yet with some customization and optimized for a perfect balance of speed, performance and battery life. I will not be releasing any AOSP builds either.
Sorry for the noob question, but is this flashed via TWRP?

Yes sir it is, just make sure you mount system before flashing.
Soo right now I'm running the stock, shipped rom, rooted and bootloader unlocked with TWRP 2.2.2.1 recovery.... How do I go about flashing this Rom? Do I first flash the Rom and then the Kernel? Or just the Rom? Or first the Kernel and then the Rom? Lolz.... Never messed with the Razr HD before :$

I do it either way. Rom then kernel or kernel then rom. Doesn't matter because the rom and kernel have their separate partitions. To be safe, just follow the OP's instructions and flash the kernel then wipe, mount system, and flash rom.

ROM Based on latest CM experimental by erikcas, with almost all layout fixed (merged changes by Millo1978)
Scripts n’ Tweaks
Custom Boot Animation and Ringtones
All cherry-picked by me from all the rom i ever tried! [So you know they're gona be good! ]
System Apps Odexed
For a faster boot and faster opening!
Fixed Services.jar
For better multitasking! [thanks to f4uazan for his help ]
Badass Kernel 1.5 from alin.p
Based on A_U kernel. In my opinion the best kernel in a long time for our Mini! ;D
CrossBreeder by idcrisis
For adblocking and a more functional entropy generator! [alin.p made it works with is kernel]
Tweaked MinFree Values
With optimized ones for alin.p kernel. If you want to install Supercharger V6 delete “zzminfree” from init.d
PureAudio™ Engine from Jeeko
For a new way to listen to your favorite music: the Purest way possible!
Now it works with every equalizer and player! [thanks to alin.p for his AudioFilter.csv]
Pure™Graphic HD from Jeeko
Another mod from Jeeko, this time for a sharper image and Liquefied UI
Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2
Adatped by F4uzan for our resources hungry device
SuperSU with Updated Binary
Why SuperSU? Because it’s Harder,Better,Faster,Stronger than normal Superuser <.<
SuperSuNoNag
Which take away ads from SuperSU by gentle concession of ChainFire just for ROM and ROM Maker
Fly-On Mod from slaid480
Feel da Smoothness! A tons of tweaks for our Mini!
Very Long Lasting Battery
Thanks to deep sleep from Activo Speeder by f4auzan
Adrenaline Boost by ImbaWind
Run it 1-2 times max per day. When you feel your device slow it will boost you up!
(run through terminal writing: “su” then “boost”)
“fix_permissions” script
Run it via terminal emulator and no more Force Close!
Many tweaks added in build.prop for even more fun!
[Wi-Fi][Smoothness][Faster Network Connection][Faster Call Screen][Better Battery]
LiguxTools
A very powerful and useful reboot options in the form of a widget
Hacker’s Keyboard
A very Lightweight and Customizable keyboard; you only have to got the right settings and it will be perfect!
Removed tons of useless and heavy apps
[CellBroadcastReicever, PermissionsManager, PicoTts, VoiceDialer, Development and SpareParts]
[HTMLviewer, HwaSettings, LatinIMe and UserDictionaryProvider, PhotoTable, BasicDream]
[HoloSpiralWallpaper, LiveWallpapers, Noisefield, VisualizationWallpapers, ThemeChooser and ThemeManger]
Rom weights about 102MB
13 less than original, and obviously it's way Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger!
Int2Ext+
Modded by me, removed zipalign [2 zipalign make the boot take longer than one! ]
Use it only if you have:
A class 10 SD
A max of 1 GB partition
You just have to flash the zip after the rom without any wipe.
You can find the link in the second post.
Extras Package
In the Extras package you can find:
All the thing that I removed/changed/substituted
Extras folder that you usually find in the rom
YouTube v4.4.11 [I heard latest is very slow]
Instructions:
If you want an app i removed, you can find them all in the extras package, it's very easy: Before installing the Rom,
You open rom.zip ---> system folder ---> app folder ---> and you copy "TheAppYouWant" from the Extras Package,
and Puff! When you install the rom the app it's there!
Future Feature
Nova or Apex as default launcher
Achieve a Settings-ready-for-use ROM, in every application, and System Settings
Fixing those damn Gallery filters of image editor
Many more coming!
Bugs
Effem.apk audio control doesn’t work (! Don’t turn it on with headphones on, I warned you !)
Black background on mobile data settings
Gallery filters broken
Custom ringtones converted to .ogg file don't loop, while in RC5 they do
Bluetooth works with other phone! BUT when connected to a car, when you try to sync music with the car, the phone reboot
Still testing the v2.0 ...but so far, so good!
If you notice more, tell me!
Screenshot
Aesthetically is the same as CM so nothing much to be seen here!
Here you can also find the screenshot of fix_permissions script working
The Story
(If you want, you can skip it.. but if you read it, you will know me a little better)
This ROM was born out of my needs to choose ringtones for the rom I was using.
The first Custom Rom I ever flashed was New Experience by autoradio78, a long time ago back to version 4 or 5, don’t remember.
I liked it because the graphics where Jelly Bean like and the performance and functions where better than stock.
I passed through a lot of Rom, and one time I encountered Jelly Bean (TheWhisp first version).
I immediately loved it although it was VERY laggy and full of bug, I couldn’t imagine how some developer were able to port such a new version of android to our Mini.
I then reinstalled New experience xD, but in Jelly Bean I had found a lot of alarms and ringtones I really liked so I wondered around in the zip and I found where the audio files were located,
I copied some to the New experience Rom and installed it hoping that it wouldn’t destroy my phone and it didn’t!
It worked fine and when I checked the ringtones all the ones that I added were there! And that’s how it all started
Some time passed and time to time I was alternating from New Experience to Jelly Bean, just to check the progress made by the developers.
One day, I read that finally Omx libraries were fixed and YouTube was working I waited someday but the rumors seemed to be truthful, so I installed the rom and Puf!
YouTube was working, a little laggy but HQ videos were finally visible!
From then on, I was only on Jelly Bean, sometimes I checked what New Experience and other rom were doing but I always returned back to Jelly Bean…
I tried a lot of Jelly Bean rom but I wasn't happy about them, so from this the idea of creating my own rom took form, I started in March 2013.
I read a lot around the forum and I started by adding script to my rom, none of them was working except Activo Speeder, which for me was working very well.
But I couldn’t call it my Custom rom with just a script, so I waited, and tested.
When a new version of Jelly Bean was released (this time by rohan007 and AntiBillOS and erikcas),
I trained by updating the current modifications that were in my rom to the newer version just come out.
School was hard in this period so I couldn't take the time to organize a thread, but I started by registering to XDA Developers.
I waited, I studied, I worked hard to not be postponed to September in Geometry. And I passed. The summer was free.
It was the 06/06/13 and I was really happy
School finished. And during three days of work I created this rom, I used what I learned over the past few months to create what is for me the fastest and smoother Jelly Bean Rom I ever tried.
And now I’m here writing the description of the rom I’m gonna be posting in the next few hours to the Galaxy Mini Android Developers forum (after achieving those damn 10 post required :’D)
Well, I’m Spincervino, nice to meet you, I’m Italian, I’m almost 15 and this is my rom, do you want to try it? ;D
[If you found any mistakes in the thread, tell me and I will be very happy to correct them, still: I’m doing my best to write in proper English]
Changelog for v2.0
Odexed all system apps! Now they open faster and you got more space in “\data”!
Added
CrossBreeder v6.18.13 by idcrisis, alin.p made it works with is kernel (in this version adblock still doesn’t work )
Adrenaline Boost by ImbaWind, run it 1-2 times max per day. When you feel your device slow it will boost you up! (run through terminal writing: “su” then “boost”)
Made sure that deep sleep was active, with Activo Speeder!
Updated
Fly On Mod, and deleted tweaks already present on Badass Kernel.
build.prop, added some tweaks, removed others…
Badass Kernel to 1.5, now battery is truly amazing! ;D Use with SmartassH3 68-604mhz or 68-652 mhz
Removed
CellBroadcastReicever, as someone said, because it's always running and eating 3mb of RAM.
PermissionsManager, this because it's a powerful tool that in the wrong hands could make many app stop working and make the phone unusable/unstable.
At first boot you may have some problem installing app or downloading them from Play Store, just reboot and you’ll be absolutely fine!

Fixing services.jar was also one the Future Feature i wanted to add, but forgot to mention it! I'll add it immediately!
I'll try Apex , although last time i tested all the most famous launcher, Nova was still the best for what i was seeing..

Good ROM ! If you need help theming, improving, adding features, i'm here for you.
Overall score : 4 out of 5 = Good !
Suggestion :
Don't remove calendar, some people use it. Like me !
Use Apex Launcher, it's faster and more lightweight
Change Effem to Spirit FM Free
SuperSU creator is Chainfire, so you should change it
Patch services.jar, this improves performance. I can do it if you want.
Pros :
Fast, bloat-free
Cons :
Some useful apps missing

Yeah, i was thinking of doing so but last time i tried it wasn't working so.. I hoped in Effem fix
Thanks for reminding me of Chainfire, what a silly mistake!

Just Noticed! D: I wasn't aware of this! Starting upload on Dev-host right Now!
Dropbox have a download policy... if you go over they remove file... upload to Mediafile or Devhost
Anybody tested int2ext? I'm afraid of it conflicting with the other scripts, so I ask before downloading.

News for everyone:
First, I had my first internet problem in months, today, I totally call that luck!
Second, i attempted 5 time to re-upload the rom in dev-host and mediafire: No luck, because of internet problem.. as a first day it wasn't one of the greatest, i'll try my best for tomorrow, but sorry everyone for this launch day failure!
Third, I used this time to test Apex Launcher, FM Spirit radio and Next Browser,
A) For Apex I'm still thinking that Nova is faster, mostly when you go on the widget tab, but if you all prefer Apex I'll think about it
B) FM Spirit radio it's working, but it has an unpleasant buzzing in the headphones, don't know why, maybe because i'm in Europe, If someone in America test it and works I'll be happy to add it next version
C)Next Browser is fluid alike or a little more than stock, but the lack of some feature and additional weight, make it not so much better
For what regards Int2Ext+ testing (as I wrote on Future Feature) will be done in next version, but if you want, you can test it now, doing first a backup and then telling me if it is working, it would make my life a little easier!
The link was first in DropBox because i didn't know of traffic limitation, [Noobish mistake, are noobish!]
P.S: Download link from Mediafire added, this time it worked!
Even after internet problem u managed to upload, thumbs up

tested int2ext and it works be sure to mount system, data and sd ext before flash.
To make the rom more lightweight remove useless fonts and make an external package for those who want them.

What is OneDroid:
OneDroid is a custom ROM for HTC One, based on CyanogenMod. It's always up to date with latest commits directly from CM repos, optimized for best battery life and performance and offers a lot more, like pre-installed Google apps, screen recording, lots of tweaks, etc.
What is the aim of this ROM:
I made this ROM for the following reasons:
1. To provide updates as soon as code gets committed, so that you're always up to date
2. Remove features which aren't necessary, so that you get a ROM which doesn't have a lot of crap in it
3. Fix bugs and optimize the code, so that you get the most stable ROM
4. Add my own features, like inbuilt IR app, OTA updates and more, so that you get the best experience
Features:
Based on latest CM commits, 4.4.2 KVT49L
Unsecured boot.img
Deodexed and Zipaligned
Bloatware free
Pre-rooted with latest Superuser v1.0.2.8
Pre-installed latest Google Apps
Pre-installed latest Xposed
Pre-installed latest Busybox
Fully optimized for battery life and speed (this thing flies!)
Custom init.d and build.prop tweaks related to VM, internet, ext4/mounts and more for smoothness and performance
All latest /system applications
Inbuilt screen recording and IR blaster app
Inbuilt Flash Player
GPU UI rendering
Most stable CPU governor
Custom kernel with OC support, Button Light Notifications (BLN), lots of wake options (like sweep2wake, sweep2sleep, doubletap2wake), etc
and so much more
Quick Video Review (thanks technostein!)

FAQ:
Q. The video recorded by screen recorder doesn't play at times, what's wrong?
A. Its BETA.
Q. Whenever I am using 4G/LTE, the signal bars don't show any activity, does that mean LTE/4G doesn't work?
A. No, it's a glitch/bug in CM code. When you have turned on LTE/4G and don't see any network indicators, it does not mean 4G/LTE isn't working.
Q. Can I install a particular build on top of another (like, flash BETA 13 over 12) without wiping anything (dirty flash)?
A. Yes
Q. Is S-OFF mandatory in order to flash this ROM?
A. No, you do not require S-OFF in order to flash this ROM. You can flash this ROM regardless of whether your device is S-OFF or S-ON.
Q. What is the name of the iconpack used in the picture at the top? Also, the wallpaper link please?
A. The iconpack is called ClickUI. Wallpaper here

When I had my OG Evo I was a sense guy until I finally moved into the CM mode and really fell in love with it. Then my Gnex had me doing a whole bunch of the CM based roms. But, being so soon in my new One I have held off on this one. To those out there CM is really nice and I will stalk this thread to tempt me back to non sense.....
This looks good why you dont move it to Original Android Develpoment?
Downloading
This get the check by me will by using it a few days
EDIT Baad!! lol waiting for latest version this has the ****ING beep beep bug
