AMZER cases at Amazon

Has anyone bought an Amzer case from Amazon? Gel or TPU? Any good?

I know someone talked about it in the Vibrant forum. Might wanna check over there. I think the person did a mini review.

I ordered one but it won't ship until january.

I ordered a black silicone case as well as their screen protector to try out for the hell of it. They are out of stock so there will probably be a small wait till it arrives.

yeah ordered one of their screen protectors. i dont need a case if i have a ZAGG on the back

The cases aren't out yet. They are up for pre order. If you go to Amzer's website you will see that they don't ship until 1/5. That is how it has been since the phone came out cause that is when I checked for it so it is not out yet.

Yea I was going to order a couple gel cases and noticed all the products/most are for pre-order

no one has it yet, it isnt supposed to ship until the 6th or 7th last i checked. Unless you meant you wanted a pic of the nexus 1 one, in which case that would have nothing to do with this thread on the nexus s...

Just got mine and im really happy with it. Fits nice and snug too. Their screen protector on the other hand was a total fail. It never adhered to the screen properly and was in the trash within 10 minutes of delivery.

I was gonna wait for a different case, but i already dropped my phone on the pavement and gave the corner a nice little ding I settled for this case..

Amazon seems to be out of stock. However, one of the other sellers had the case in stock so I ordered through them on Amazon. Fast shipping, too - just got a e-mail the order has been shipped.

The AMZER silicone cases look nice. I have disliked the Best Buy case since the day I bought it, but any case (well, almost any case) is better than no case. Anyway, Amazon registered the AMZER ones as in stock today, so I ordered one. Optimistically waiting.

i just ordered one to from ebay, it was cheaper there only 11.99 i think w/ free shipping. on amazon it was 9.99 with 5.00 shipping.

I always buy things in batches on Amazon so I can use Super Saver shipping.

Just ordered a white one from Amazon. I got prime so free 2-day shipping. Gonna get it on Sunday, so I will post my opinion on it then.

I also have Prime (have since it was made available) so I just placed an order for two (one white and one black) and chose 3.99/item one day shipping and should be getting them tomorrow.
Side Note:
I highly recommend Amazon Prime to anyone who uses Amazon frequently. It's only 79.99/year and you can invite up to 4 household members (though I'm sure you can add a friend) to share the membership. The first time I realized how great it was, was when I ordered an industrial strength shredder as a christmas present and because of the bulk the shipping would have been outrageous, so instead I opted for the 3.99/item overnight shipping.

Thank you both for your replies, before posting in someones for sale thread you should read the comments about retailers you are talking about. The $20 case on amazon has several reviews of people saying it is not a legitimate OtterBox. I contacted them and was told it was not the latest otterbox revision which has the built in screen protector either and they completely ignored my question if it was a 100% legitimate case. As for eBay it speaks for it self when you look at most or message people on there product most people are complaining they are not true otterboxs and are coming just in a box with no retail box.
I am going to ask $30 for them just due to I am getting sick of looking at them.

Best Case for Under $10?

I really need help with this. There's so many cases on Amazon, but I don't know which one is good.
It has to be around the $10 price range, it can be a little over or under. Under preferred.
My Nexus had been naked since I got it in July, let's dress it up.

I got this one for $3.84. Check the other sellers. Earlybird has it for $1.38+$2.49ss/h. Overall I am quite happy with it.

That's the case I have as well. Paid like $5 for it on eBay and it works great. Not to bulky but feel like it would absorb a fall from 3-4 feet just fine.

OP, thanks for sharing the info with us!! I had already been interested in the white Samsung TPU case, and considering getting it. When I saw this deal I just couldn't pass it up!! I already have the white Samsung Flip Cover, an Incipio case, and another case, so I'll probably rarely use this case but just had to have it. For every phone I've ever had I always buy way too many cases, and normally just carry the phone naked. Oh well, it's just money after all. Lol. Thanks for sharing! I've never dealt with either company before, so I'm hoping that shipping doesn't take too long. I'm looking forward to receiving this in the mail! Thanks again!!
EDIT : Oh, and for anyone looking; Best Buy sells the Samsung Flip Cover for $39.99 plus tax (saw them in store yesterday). So $12.95 shipped is a GREAT deal!

Before I pull the trigger on this. I get to the screen where it says "purchase" but don't believe I had the option to pick the color. This is extremely dumb if I don't have a choice in this, white cover wouldn't go so nicely with my titanium note. Anyway is this just me or can someone confirm I'm doing something wrong. Thanks.

otterbox defender

how do you decipher a good deal from a knock off? the prices on these things vary so widely. anywhere from about $25 upto $80. i dont want to overpay but i dont want to end up with a knockoff either.

I bought mine from Walmart online for $30. They were $50 in the store. When it broke Otterbox verified the code stamped in the case and sent me a replacement.

ebay knockoff otterbox
I bought my otterbox defender from ebay as well.( ohcases )( 26 bucks and change)..However- it was genuine, and despite that- I broke the clip holster within 15 days- the ebay company gave me a hassle for exchange- ( return my damaged part, and then they would send out a replacement..and of course- shipping back at MY expense.
I contacted otterbox, sent pics via email-( of the genuine stamping included) and within 7 days - had an entire new package- all new case, clip etc. So the point here- ebay doesnt mean fake- but the deals are out there ...and so are vendors who dont know what customer service means.

im sure a cheap knockoff would do the same job protection wise(maybe), but if it breaks you have to buy another, it could end up costing you more than a genuine one. ive had my note 2 for a year now and only had the kickstand case that just covers the back. yesterday made me think i should have more protection. i had my phone in the passengers side door,and i forgot it was there and opened the door. the note 2 fell onto the concrete, glass side down, but somehow(thankfully) didnt break and i had a screen protector, so no scratches either

You guys do know that Best Buy will price match with major online retaliers right? I got mine for $28 - 5 months back by price matching with Amazon

Otterbox Defender
Hello everyone,
I got my Otterbox Defender with 25 US$ from Ebay, delivered from Hong Kong to Romania in 3 weeks, free of charge, par avion.
It's genuine and perfect, blister and all. I did the mod shown here somewhere to allow for the 6400mAh battery from Mugen.
It's PERFECT and I am happy.
