I know, your gonna say, "You already had a thread for Supremacy Script, why make a new one?". Well, people with all sorts of devices use that script and they should as its made for all sorts of devices, but this is strictly for Xperia devices, so if the rest were to flash this, it would lead to a non-booting stage , as this contains libs specific to Xperia devices. So to avoid that I present to you the, Untitled Engine. Does it have to have a proper name? XD. And in case something goes wrong or your not happy with this, your backup is stored in /sdcard/Untitled_E/backup. Enjoy the new libs from the Xperia T JB firmware, thanks to doomlord for the firmware and xda for knowledge on libs.

Project Butter tweak...

Testing on JB
Report later

The Updater Script has wrong mount ding.. it can't do anything, so thats why its done in 1 second.
Flashing 2 Times will work.
For the PC its like:
-----------------------------
copying... // can't work, not mounted
mounting... // now its mounted
done... // you'll see install complete
---------------
because its not yet mounted, it won't do anything.
but because there is no unmount command, /system stays mounted.. now..
--------------
copying... // system is still mounted
mounting.. // already mounted, won't do aynthing
finished // now it takes a few seconds & its fine..
-----------------

I have decided to post the wipe scripts here for those KernelHolics & Flashaholics that are flashing kernels and ROMs constantly. I've made small modifications to these scripts FULL credit to the originator of them Credits below.
These are compatible with CWM, TWRP.
Since there have been numerous kernels recently being posted and people wondering what to wipe or what not to wiped here is the Kernel Cleaner.
1. Place the file in the root of your /sdcard
2. Flash Kernel Cleaner
3. Flash/Fastboot Kernel
4. Reboot.
Download: http://d-h.st/IOn
This second script I'm sure everyone is familiar with SUPERWIPE script.
Tired of wiping after every ROM or not knowing what to wipe to flash a ROM and have a clean install? Just flash this script & flash ROM easy right?
This version Deleted System, cache, data, formats device & INTERNAL SD CARD DATA!
1. Place Wipe-Script in root of /sdcard
2. Flash Wipe-Script
3. Flash ROM
4. Reboot.
Download: http://d-h.st/L31
This version is SUPERWIPE/NO INTERNAL SD DELETED!
http://d-h.st/476
SuperWipe deletes System, Cache, Dalvik, Formats Device!
DOES NOT TOUCH INTERNAL DATA SDCARD
Debug
If it doesn't flash please tell me what recovery your using.
ONLY works for the NEXUS 4 ONLY will be available for other devices as well.
Credit goes to the following people.

Reserved for more Awesome Scripts to make your life easier.
Thanks for sharing. I was using Mike1986's superwipe script on my GNex and I was looking for smth like that for my N4.
I'll try it with TWRP recovery once I'll have to flash a new ROM/kernel.
What does it clean?
The script cleans the left over files of a kernel, to prevent issues or compatibility problems when switching between kernels, kinda like Ccleaner for windows.
It does a cache wipe / dalvik cache wipe and a few other operations, basically it does the maintenance job for you, no need to manually do those tasks before flashing a new kernel.
Kernel Cleaner Operations performed:
Formatting cache partition
Wiping Dalvik-Cache
Deleting old kernel files
Cleaning up old Modules
Formatting cache for Security Purpose
Wiping Dalvik-Cache for Security Purpose
---++
We all know what SuperWipe Cleans everything but storage/sdcard
Nice to see you here. I'll for sure be using this. Now go get the N4 and start with the ROMs!

Yes. I have PAC MAN ROM & TOASTED MARSHMALLOW for the N4 ready! 4.2.1
Sweet! So that means you got it or deving blind?
And to stay on topic. From my understanding this will keep me from having to flash a neutral kernel in between flashes right?

I was lucky to get the device in the first wave just been updating my threads on other devices and finally got around to building for this device....
Yes flashing the Kernel Script will save not only you but kernel devs from debugging bug reports that are usually caused by "dirty" flashing a kernel.

What about the ram disk? Flashing any other kernel on top of Franco's seems to cause bootloops because he's modifying it.

Yes the bootloops happen because when u flash a new kernel it over writes the previous kernel/modules files and it doesn't remove no files. The kernel cleaner does remove the files and init.d support for the kernel.
You can't flash a different rom on top of another ROM can you? Without having issues? Why would you flash a kernel on top of another without removing the previous kernel files and having a clean kernel install.

Just flashed an update of the kernel I use, following your kernel script. I know I didn't have to wipe anything but wanted to test the script.
Working great with TWRP recovery.

One would normally have to flash the rom to restore the ramdisk and then the new kernel when coming from Franco's; does the script take care of that? That's all, no blaming.
Whether one can flash roms on top of other roms and kernels on top of other kernels without wiping anything, yes, that does happen a few thousand times daily without any problems. Is it better to use your script in between however to avoid possible issues? Probably yes. :good:

Also using twrp. Hit install, chose your script and ran it, then chose harsh and ran that. Hit reboot system then got stuck on Google screen.

I'm opening up Francos kernels ramdisk to see what changes he makes so I can alter the script.

Thanks. And could you clarify on what was said here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37289109
I know you need to flash the neutral kernel if your coming from mod ram disk but your script is suppose to keep you from doing all those steps correct?

Nothing risky but what's the point with double cache/dalvik wipe ? Why don't you delete libs and bin files before wiping cache/dalvik one time?

What I understand from reading in this forum that N8000 and N8013 have the same mounting points..
If you managed to get recovery.fstab from unpacked boot.img/recovery.img or updater-script of any N8013 ROM, check if it has same mounting point as this one (red lines):
Code:
/efs ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p3
[COLOR="Red"]/boot emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p5
/recovery emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p6
/cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p8
/system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p9
/data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p12 [/COLOR]
/preload ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p10
/sdcard vfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1
/modem emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p7
if this is the case, then you can use this rom after deleting modem.bin from zip file
Looks nice. I'll try it!
Edit: quiet slow boot?
Edit2: How about an aroma installer? Strip every possible and let uer choose?
Quick review
- Tried on n8013.
Installed fine. no issues ( removed modem.bin and hence during final phase of installation it shows aborted but that is only for the modem)
Also flashed darkman compatibility pack for cm2 . hence no more phone signal icon in task bar.
Every thing working perfect and smooth...
Only issue noticed is that switcher does not work for mass storage mode. No surprise as there is no kernel support for that yet.
Suggestions - Could incorporate spell check and auto correct in keyboard. Useful for many
Thanks once again
Nice to see another dev here it's always good for our beloved note , glory absolutely fit this rom ., keep up brother .

- Only the first boot where it builds up the cache and dalvik cache which is normal.
- Aroma needs a lot of works and to my point of view not practical if I am releasing ROMs regularly!!! but thanks for your feedback

- For the aborted message regarding modem flashing, can you extract updater script and delete these lines and then drag and drop the updater-script inside the ROM again:
Code:
show_progress(0.1, 80);
ui_print("-------------------------------------");
ui_print("");
ui_print("...Flashing modem...");
ui_print("");
package_extract_file("flash_image", "/tmp/flash_image");
set_perm(0, 0, 0777, "/tmp/flash_image");
assert(package_extract_file("modem.bin", "/tmp/modem.bin"),
run_program("/tmp/flash_image", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p7", "/tmp/modem.bin"),
delete("/tmp/modem.bin"));
you can download the pre-made updater-script from attachment, extract it and then drag/drop it inside the ROM inside META-INF\com\google\android folder
- For the USB switch, you are right it needs kernel supports
- Regarding spell check, I will look for it
Thanks for the updater script .

N8000 / N8010 / N8013 have all the same mounting Points! :good:
For a better compatibility I recommend the boot.img from the right device (from N8010 for N8010 / from N8013 for N8013 etc.)...disable telephony in framework and delete some icons in the SystemUI
Then the N8010 & N8013 users have the best experience

i build ubuntu from source for the golfu if you dont no, ubuntu phone need two file for the install... the specific file for the device (this part is build with the ubuntu source and the device and kernel tree) and the generic file (this file it same for all device)
i made all the change in the kernel and device tree for support ubuntu and it is on my github! But for now the problem we have is with the generic file... The specefic file installed with no error, but the generic file say it installed but when you reboot its dont boot, its only the cyanogen boot logo at screen and make bootloops, so we see the generic part is dont installed...
i making many test, i tested install the generic part over cm10.1 and i see no files who report ubuntu soo i concluded the file is will not install even if it shows to be installed correctly i search a fix for that but i think the help of some devs can help
Bugs:
Dont boot for now.. Soo install it only for test
Files:
-Golfu specific part: golfu part
-Generic part: saucy-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip
Instruction:
1- Wipe all data/cache
2- Install Golfu part
3- install Generic part
4- Reboot in bootloader
5- Flash boot with fastboot

It really baffles me, Why you release a ROM that doesn't boot? :s " Here you go guys have a fantastic rom that youve all been waiting for with all these cool feautures, oh bummer, it doesn't actually boot! Just please for811, keep it a wip but only release if your gonna have a working build! i think most members will agree with this..

Yes Sir :highfive:
This won't work. We need a bigger /data partition. Even if we modify the generic part to extract the ubuntu rootfs tarbal from the zip to sd card and then extract it to the /data partition, it won't fit. Golfu's /data is 975MB and we need like 1,1GB for it. I recommend you using an sd-ext for this

it is what I thought but prefer have very stuck ubuntu, no sd-ext soo do you know how change the partition size in the source code? but for the moment i will try add sd-ext thanks for the fix!
@patrik.KT do you can explain to me how you use that? i never try this :s just format the sd-card with two partition, one fat and one other ext2 and install the rom? or transfer myself the data file on sd-card?

Mithun's Rom Switcher
This is a Mod which allows you to switching between Timescape and any AOSP based rom.
It's only for advanced users and I am not responsible if your XZ get bricked or transform into a monster and eat up your cat
It is still in alpha state, but is working for daily use
Before you install this, please read the whole post!
Your first rom is Stock Timescape and second rom is any AOSP rom.
The second rom is installed on the /cache partition.
/data and /cache folders for second ROM is in /data/dual/
This Mod switches between two kernels.
For Timescape you can use any kernel, for AOSP you have to use my modified CM kernel.
Why I created this Mod?
fusion3 devices haven't got a multiboot option like this
Default kernel for Timescape is DooMKernel,
if you want to use another kernel, replace fiirst.img in /sdcard/romwitcher/ with your favorite kernel.
Sources:
https://github.com/RomSwitchers
OUR APP IS CLOSED SOURCE
How to install?
You can use any AOSP rom!
First Install stock ROM .ftf and root it
Then Flash DooMKernel
Download any AOSP rom. Extract it and open META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script
replace this line
Code:
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system", "/system");
with this wherever u see it
Code:
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache", "/system");
then delete these lines
Code:
format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system", "0", "/system");
and
Code:
package_extract_file("boot.img", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot");
You will need Gapps
Get it here http://goo.im/gapps/
Extract it and open updater-script
and replace
Code:
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/system");
with
Code:
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache", "/system");
Zip your rom and gapps.
Flash both in recovery. (first rom then gapps)
DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING
Reboot your phone and if you did all correct. You should boot into your Timescape Stock rom.
Now download and install my app
Download my app here
Open ROMSwitcher and follow the instructions. It will fetch required files automatically
NOTE: Currently Recovery works on Stock ROM only
That's all have fun

Wipe data/cache on AOSP rom
Wipe data:
Delete /data/dual/2nddata
Wipe cache:
Delete /data/dual/cache
Install new AOSP rom
Wipe cache in recovery and delete /data/dual
then flash your new rom
Remove AOSP rom
Wipe cache in recovery and delete /data/dual

Few questions about ur CM kernel:
Undervolting possible ?
Governors available?
Min and max clock speeds?
And is there no way to use a different kernel for AOSP ?

@mithun46 Everytime I switched back to stock timescape, I realised that it's necessary to flash doom kernel again for the wifi fix. I often switching between them and I find this fun. But it's annoying to flash doom kernel for every time I switch back to stock. Any workaround for this?

There is absolutely no need to put SuperSU in the "flash after updates" list.
SuperSU->Settings->Install Backup Script
Once you do that, you should never have to reflash SuperSU again, AND any updates will automatically get backed up - no need to refresh the ZIP.

More importantly, this procedure seems to survive a data wipe / factory reset (I just did it yesterday), so your new ROM will have SuperSU regardless of what ROM you install next (even if the new ROM already has root baked in).
@Entropy512, but for some people this procedure doesn't seem to work... So here is the zip anyway.

It would be nice if there was a way to reinstall exposed framework after each update, as I currently have to do that manually after each OTA.

/sdcard/OpenDelta/FlashAfterUpdate/
You'll also find the most recent OTA in the OpenDelta folder.
If you change your settings in "Settings" - "About Phone" - "System Updates" to deselect "Secure" then anything you put in the FlashAfterUpdate folder will be flashed after the update but before reboot. Since the update can wipe certain things (Xposed Framework, Superuser) this is a way to set them back each time automatically instead of having to manually redo a bunch of things.

Sorry for what might be a dim question, but where is this Folder, or if I have to create it, is there a specific location?
Thanks in advance, etc...

In order to create the folder, you must check for update at least once. Then you'll have the folder to put the zips.
