white text on black menus possible in Sense 4.1? - HTC Incredible S

Hi all,
I'm thinking about trying out Sabsa Prime, since I'm curious about Sense 4.1. (I've only been using Sense 3.6 roms up until now). I noticed that the settings menus have black text on a white background, which from what I've read is standard in Sense 4.x . Is there any way to change the menus in Sense 4.1 so they'll have white text on a black background, like in Sense 3.6 or CM?

I think if you flash Viper you can change that with a theme but you probably have to cook that yourself But it's very likely possible.

Ah ok. Just thought I'd ask. I might try 4.1 anyway without trying to change it. Who knows, it might grow on me. Thanks for the info.

Htc Legend theme ?

im not sure if this is the right sectio but i wonder if sombody knows where i can find htc Legend theme its more color full then htc hero roms ?
Maybe thats becouse of the AMOLED-Display? Im pretty sure we'll get/ already have the same UI than the Legend...
EDIT. Never mind.
htc legend using the 2.1 rom with the new sense wich will be available for htc hero users soon enough!
Is it not just a different default background?

It will use the same HTC wallpapers but the display is more vibrant and colorful so the OP wants a theme to make it look the same. But that is not possible unless you change the screen on the hero.
Legends sense ui is far more nicer then heros, its not just wallpaper or because the display. Its small details.
I second this. The Legend theme is a bit more glossy. A bit nice to the eye.
If you take a look at this post you can see the difference. Really hope someone can make this for 2.1
You could install legendroid, but i want to install legend theme on a 1.5 rom

Here's my list:
Notification bar
Rosie
Lockscreen (i am working on the desire one, not much success yet)
Anything else?

[B][Theme] Slick Pink 1.0 "I'll Tap that" CM5.0.8[/B]

Slick Pink Theme 1.0
This is a preview of a theme Slick Pink Theme I have just finished for CM5.0.8 users with MDPI displays (320x480) e.g. MyTouch, G1, Hero, etc.
This took a LOT of work, so I hope everyone enjoys this and I'm going to try keep this brief.
Beautiful colour scheme - I have used bits off The T-Mobile Pulse and the Motorola Cliq, but cooked up a lot of the UI elements myself
INSTRUCTIONS:
I have no idea how to create an 'update-script' for flashing, so in the meantime everyone will have to push it to the phone manually with:
Code:
./adb remount
./adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
As soon as I figure it out, or someone helps me, I'll update this post with the update.zip.
Everything is running really smooth, with a small exception to the music app (the bar at the bottom), but looks reasonably easy to fix, just a matter of finding the right image.
I personally like the white/sliverish bar, but if you guys don't like the white motorola status bar, i can change it to a black bar upon request
I also understand a lot of people are running Cyanogenmod 6 (too laggy on my magic ), and if you're lucky I'll try port it over to 2.2.
Wallpaper and launcherpro app draw icon below, zipped
I hope everyones loves this as much as I do, Enjoy!!
(Download framework-res.apk below)
Wow! That's awesome | , maybe recomend pink status bar with white icons but thats just me
OK, well I have the tabs under control. Shouldn't be far from an actual release, the music apparently is a bit of a mess though.

If it's using sense, it probably wont work, and will break the htc framework.
Super Eclair, Cyanogenmod 5 and other vanilla eclair roms only sorry
and is there any difference it phone's functionality between cyanogenmod and sense?

I'm not too sure what you mean, but sense is the custom HTC Skin that the system relies on when you are running a sense rom. Cyanogenmod rom is more of a stock android 2.1 experience.

[REQ Port][theme] Dark Transparent [v2.0] QuadLock ExtendedPwrMenu

Anyone want to give this theme a shot? I like that it is transparent instead of all black. Probably do well with battery life as well with it being a darker theme... I could be wrong.

im assuming android.policy.jar and framework-jar.......but as to how to implement them? meh jt or kaos im sure could figure it out but they have bigger things on their plate
its a cool feature but im sure id get a headache looking into and ultimately not be successful...maybe with froyo someone will figure it out for touchwiz roms....but with aosp, i dont know how much tw dev will go on (and cm allows you to choose rotary or glass unlock anyway)
Any more interest in this one, it is a very clean theme!

Im no dev but I am sure that the actual 3.0 lockscreen is part of the HTC Sense framework therefore cannot be ported over easily over to CM7 which is built up from stratch. It was a bit like having the Ginger 2.3 CRT effect on Froyo 2.2, which it just does not work as easily has an APK or zip flash.

SO SO ESSENITALLY answer!
There is no way to use it in clear AOSP ROM... as it need a lot of SENSE components like weather, nad other apks that wont run on CM...
Thanks peeps
Just a shame it isn't possible coz the cm7 lockscreen is pretty bland and I wudnt want an app to replace it
Widget Locker is pretty good if you want another lockscreen, check it out

Is there any way to get the sense lock screen but much more customizable. Like a lock screen from WidgetLocker?
Cause the lockscreen is fine by itself but lacks customization...
Why can't we get a music player on the sense lock?
i have the link but i cant post it since im new
sadly i try it on my incredible2 running cm7 stable it didnt worked installed fine but i dont see it even after reboot
in fact it felt slow and weird after reboot
Actually guys, I have seen it on MIUI. There is an NDT MIUI ROM floating around which has the sense Lockscreen. Now we all know that CM7 and MIUI are both from aosp. So if it working on MIUI it should be able to work on CM7 with a little bit of porting. We already have examples of the camera and music apps from MIUI working on CM7. So from my point of view it should work if you are ready to get your hands a little dirty.
EDIT: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand here is the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1143569

Congrats about your Sense 3.0 lockscreen on CM7... It's not free though...
i try the agile lock also is buggy and is lacking features in my opinion unless you get the paid version i guess
Try livelocker : https://market.android.com/details?id=net.livelocker&feature=search_result
I find it pretty cool and beautiful with some nice configs and with the ring style.

Quick Question regarding APKs

Hey I was just wondering why this does not work .
Why can I not cross use different apks from different roms .
I am using Ice cold sandwich atm and the Camera application sucks on it , half the stuff doesn't work so I am forced to use a third party application.
I tried to access the app folder inside the "system.ext3.tar" which was found in one of my backup roms . ---> Created with CW MOD
I basically tried to take the working camera application and install it on my current rom but it crashes on startup, how do you actually go about doing stuff like this? What are the requirements ?
I just dont get why it does not work
I also hate the clock APK in the rom it does not have a world clock which I really need. I tried to again take the World Clock apk from another rom and it did not even install.
They were all from different icecream sandwiches but with sense 4 , the rom I am using does not have sense but I dont see how that would really affect this
Can someone explain to me how to cross use APK system files ?:good::good:
I believe you can't cross sense with aosp and aokp. If you want sense apps to work then port to a sense Rom. Your trying to put a square peg in a triangle hole.

I cannor really explain it, but I know for sure that u can't use apk-files from sense or touchwhiz and use them on AOKP ROMs. It's just not possible. Same thing for widgets...

I don't think it would be *sense*
It hasn't been taken from a HTC rom, its just a clock thats themed to look like sense
like themed
A themed AOKP rom to look like sense is not a sense rom

I see thanks for all your help guys and if anyone can explain to me the technical aspect of not being able to cross APKS due to AOSP and AOKP
I am just curious as to the limiting factor

HTC apps require HTC framework and other HTC apps in order to work
So without the other apps, just come of them won't work
Most apps from other Roms, like Sony Ericsson and miui Roms will work, I have some of them
I think just Samsung and HTC apps won't work
But Samsung apps can be hacked

There are dependency on HTC framework for sense APk,thus causing sense apk not working at aosp/aopk rom.
