INSTRUCTIONS v1.1
Step 0: Make backup of your data
- Make backup of your data in the way you prefer.
- If you have CWM, use it to get a nandroid backup.
- If you don't have it, but a rooted phone, install Online Nandroid Backup to do the job.
- If you come from another ROM apart from IZS v1, I'll recommend you to backup all with Titanium or similar to restore it after the installation, because this is a new base and a factory reset is MANDATORY

Step 1: Ensure you have a working CWM
- If you have it, access CWM and go to step 2.
- If you don't have it or you don't know, you'll need a working CWM.
- If you already have a V30 ROM, you can follow jockjoint's thread to get both unlocked V30 u-boot (bootloader) and compatible CWM. Once you have done it, access CWM and go to step 2.
- If you have a V20/V10 rom, or a V30 but you prefer an easier way than the last indication, download 'Preinstallation for IZS ROM' from my blog. It contains Smartflash, a V20 ROM patched with CWM and a V30 baseband.
- Use Smartflash to completely flash (.bin and .fls) the images. Then you will have a V20 bootloader, a touch CWM and a V30 baseband.
- Once your phone finish the flashing procedure, it should boot into CWM.
- Go to step 2.

Step 2: Install the ROM
- If you are already on IZS v1:
-- Download 'Update v1.1' from my blog and put them on sdcard root
-- Flash IZS_Uv1.1.zip with option: Install zip from SDCARD
- If you are on another ROM:
-- Download 'IZS v1' and 'Update v1.1' from my blog and put them on sdcard root
-- Make a 'wipe data / factory reset'
-- Flash IZS_v1.zip with option: Install zip from SDCARD
-- Flash IZS_Uv1.1.zip with option: Install zip from SDCARD
- Go to step 3.
Click to collapse
Step 3: Install the additional stuff
- If you don't want any additional pack, go to step 4.
- You can download the packs from my blog.
- Copy the desired packs to the root of sdcard.
- Flash them with option: Install zip from SDCARD
- Go to step 4.
Click to collapse
Step 4: [OPTIONAL] Flash an unlocked V30 u-boot (bootloader)
- This is and optional step, but desirable to get access to CWM from power off.
- If you want to stay on older bootloader, or you already have the patched u-boot, go to step 5.
- Download 'Patched V30 u-boot' from my blog and put it on sdcard root.
- Flash Patched_V30_Bootloader_CWM.zip with option: Install zip from SDCARD
- Go to step 5.
Click to collapse
Step 5: Reboot
- Wait some minutes to let the phone boot
- Enjoy!
Click to collapse
HOW TO ACCESS CWM
- As soon as IZS bootanimation appears, repeatedly press a physical key (VOL+, VOL-, G-key)
- If you have flashed the patched V30 u-boot, thanks to payback and jockjoint it's possible to use a hard-keys combo to access CWM. It's as easy as power off your phone, press and hold both Vol+ and G-key and then press power.

FAQs
When I try to set language on LG Setup Wizard or from Settings, the app crashes...
I don't know why, but SIMcard must be inserted to select language.
On first boot, I cannot pull the statusbar to get expanded notifications...
Access hidden menu with the code 3845#*970# (from dialer) and inside it make 'factory reset'.
Which is the best governor?
This question shoud be answered by yourself. Smartassv2 gives higher benchmark scores but IMHO the benchmark is not necessarily all the truth. Please, try all by yourself and give comments. In this way, you will choose the correct governor for your use and help others. I use default interactive.
Which is the best i/o scheduler?
Same as governors issue. If you want high throughput on writes to disk, best use other that ROW, because this one gives priority to reads. I use the default ROW.

Follow what the dev has clearly instructed unless you have clear understanding what would happen (and how to fix it) if you're doing it the other way.

DIANA KERNEL SOURCE CODE
https://github.com/Huexxx/diana
LATEST FEATURES/CHANGELOG
Kernel v2.6[medUV|maxUV]
- New three Diana kernel, s2.7, s2.7_medUV y s2.7_maxUV
-- Diana s2.7: Basically same kernel as s2.6light, but:
---> The voltages for freqs <= 1GHz are the same as the ones on kernel v2.6.
---> The voltages for freqs > 1GHz are the same as the ones on kernel v2.6light, higher to enjoy the same voltage tweak.
-- Diana s2.7_maxUV: Same kernel as s2.6light, with a high-UV profile.
-- Diana s2.7_medUV: Same kernel as previous, but:
---> The voltages for freqs <= 1GHz are a middle term between both, to people that have problems with maxUV but want to try a more moderated UV.
- You can learn how to correctly set the voltage here...
v7.06
- New kernel v2.6light... based on v2.3:
-- Retweaked smartreflex voltage margin values to apply a more correct voltage to each OPP. You have to start from scratch asigning a voltage value until you get your adequate value. NOTE: BEFORE MAKE CHANGES TO THIS STUFF, MAKE A CWM NANDROID BACKUP... My recommendation is: lower step by step the voltage value until a value with problems (strange things, blocking, reboot, etc), and once find that value use a two times greater value (f.e. problems with -7, use -5 instead). Once selected, it should work fine with all frequencies... but who knows, every phone is different.
-- Relaxed voltage swing to [-15,15].
-- Added and enabled by default TINY_PREEMPT_RCU with RCU BOOST.
-- Some commits from CM kernel source.
-- Added zRAM support builded as module on /etc/modules.
-- Enabled swap support.
-- Enabled by default TCP Westwood+ congestion avoidance algorithm. In the blog you can find this kernel and two additional variants with TCP Cubic and TCP Veno algorithms...
-- Removed a lot of debugging stuff.
-- Disable HIGHMEM support as it isn't needed.
-- Removed NFS and CIFS support.
-- Added some code from original V20Q sources that reduces the haptic feedback of soft buttons.
-- Removed more unnecessary drivers to reduce the kernel size even more.
- Improved new method to reboot glgps daemon when gps is disconnected through its powerwidget. It should now correctly ask for permissions and you haven't to reboot after first deactivation.
- Updated Morelocale2, Vending, Gms, Titanium Backup, Quickpic and HoloLauncher.
- Added 5 more levels to voltage control on ZeusTweaker.
- All the stuff already included on previous versions...
Code:
[B]v7.05[/B]
- Implemented a new method to reboot glgps daemon when gps is disconnected through its powerwidget. With this I'm trying to avoid the high battery draining after the use and deactivation of gps. NOTE: First time you deactivate gps, a Superuser popup to give permissions will appear, accept it. It's mandatory to reboot the phone after that. Next time you deactivate gps the methos will work fine.
- New method to control low battery warnings. Now the entire warning is disabled (sound, vibration and dialog). Inspired on [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1234738"]this[/URL].
- 2 new powerwidgets! 'Portable hotspot' and 'Network Location'
- Fixed a bug that generated FC when you try to enabled Wifi from its powerwidget with portable hotspot already activated.
- Data from configuration SMS on apns-conf.xml over Simyo spanish carrier. This will reset to default your APN config, so if you have manually entered an APN, you will have to re-enter it. If you want, pass me APN info and I'll include it on next release.
- Updated Quickpic and HoloLauncher.
- Fixed a bug with the enable/disable of LG OSP. After flashing this, it will be enabled, so if you had it disabled, re-disable it through ZeusTweaker. This will also fix a problem with turkish settings translation.
- ZeusTweaker mods to adapt it to new scenario.
[B]v7.04 Fix[/B]
- Fixed 10MB swap file issue.
- Fixed an issue that creates from scratch the swap file on every boot.
- Now status bar is gradient! This is the end to gray icons issue.
- Fixed some typos on ZeusTweaker.
- Added Turkish translation to ZeusTweaker (Credits to agritux).
- Some fixes on apns-conf.xml over Orange and Simyo spanish carriers. This will reset to default your APN config, so if you have manually entered an APN, you will have to re-enter it. If you want, pass me APN info and I'll include it on next release.
- That's not a fix made by me... The compass is working on latest Google Maps!!!
[B]v7.04[/B]
- New Diana kernel s2.6:
-- Relaxed voltage swing to [-10,10].
-- Revert to SLAB slab allocator.
-- Disabled RCU BOOST.
-- Revert to -Os compiler flag.
-- Removed NFS and CIFS support.
-- Lots of commits that right now I don't remember...
- ZeusTweaker translated to Greek! (Credits to ttheodorou). Unfortunately there are new stuff untranslated... (you have a PM). Please, send me PMs if you want to translate ZT to your language.
- Added to ZeusTweaker a new 'RAM Tweak' menu to enable/disable Swap and zRAM. For Swap it will create a file on /system. You can activate both but I don't recommend it. If you are planning to use zRAM, take into account that it will reduce RAM to generate a compressed ramdisk that will be used as swap, so use a relatively high Swappiness (>=40).
- Now you can select voltage level from -10 to +5 from ZeusTweaker.
- Fixed a bad translation to Turkish on Settings.apk
- New wallpapers added, new default wallpaper.
- Some changes to build.prop looking for more preformance.
- Updated Playstore, Quickpic, RootBrowser, HoloLauncher and Terminal Emulator.
- Launcher2 has been replaced with latest [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557091"]Xperia Launcher 0.9.2.c by Ra3el[/URL]. Now you can select it from ZeusTweaker.
- Now statusbar is darker than before to avoid gray icon problems... Also I've changed on ZeusTweaker the word 'transparent' with 'traslucent' to avoid misunderstandings.
[B]v7.03[/B]
- Modified Diana kernel s2.4:
-- Added some code from original V20Q sources that reduces the haptic feedback of soft buttons.
-- Removed more unnecessary drivers to reduce the kernel size even more.
-- Fixed a problem with 'My WiFi' wifi link.
- Oversized clear-notifications-button (to people with oversized fingers...)
- Removed the small blue android from app bar (it appeared twice on certain apps).
- Fixed the problem with blue text over soft gray background with bad contrast.
[B]v7.02:[/B]
- New kernel Diana s2.4:
-- Added and enabled by default TINY_PREEMPT_RCU with RCU BOOST.
-- Some commits from CM kernel source.
-- Added and enabled by default autogroup scheduling feature.
-- Added and enabled by default CPU-supported unaligned access.
-- Added zRAM support builded as module on /etc/modules. (config options through ZeusTweaker soon...)
-- Enabled swap support (config options through ZeusTweaker soon...)
-- Enabled by default TCP Westwood+ congestion avoidance algorithm.
-- Removed a lot of debugging stuff.
-- Enabled by default SLUB slab allocator.
-- Disable HIGHMEM support as it isn't needed.
-- NFS and CIFS support compiled as modules on /etc/modules.
-- Disabled OPTIMIZE_FOR_SIZE option to use -O2 flag instead of -Os.
- Reverted: Changed ro.build.product property to bproj_262-XXX to avoid some problems at Playstore dowloading certain apps (thanks to poloxo53). It solves some problems but generates new ones on other places and with some games. It's up to you to manually modify it on build.prop.
- More theme tweaking regarding to notifications; now uploading/downloading notifications are equal themed to standard ones.
- Updated Titanium Backup app.
- New icon for ZeusTweaker app. ;)
[B]v7.01:[/B]
- Transparent statusbar can now be enabled/disabled on runtime through ZeusTweaker. Also, transparency is now lighter to get a lighter gray when using apps like Gmail to avoid problems with gray icons.
- Added build.prop property to render GUI with GPU.
- Changed ro.build.product property to bproj_262-XXX to avoid some problems at Playstore dowloading certain apps (thanks to poloxo53)
- Return of HTC IME mod keyboard with a renewed look. I hope you'll like it!

- Updated Alarmdroid, HoloLauncher, Quickpic, Terminal Emulator, Playstore and Titanium Backup apps.
- Ramdisk tweak to avoid a problem regarding write access on boot. Now is fixed the option to change launcher on ZeusTweaker.
- Updated ZeusTweaker to match new situation.
[B]v7:[/B]
- Based on Spanish V20S ROM.
- New deeply modified theme to resemble ICS but with my style.
- Switched to Holo Launcher and ICS Keyboard (they replace Home Xperia S and HTC mod).
- Lot of forgotten things...
[B]v6.4:[/B]
- Modified kernel Diana v2.3:
-- Revised DVFS, now you can effectively switch it on or off, it was failing in some cases.
-- Removed some old dtfix related garbage.

- Updated Alarmdroid, Quickpic, Terminal Emulator, Playstore and Titanium Backup apps.
- Updated [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557091"]ra3al's Home Xperia S[/URL] to unmodified latest version 0.9.1c. We've lost all the translations, modified icons, etc. but now calendar widget works fine and you can install Xperia widgets.

[B]v6.39:[/B]
- New kernel Diana v2.3:
-- Relaxed voltage interval to [-7,7].

The eFUSE ntargets for the new opps are obtained from processor hardware registers to ensure that it will work in every OB (each OB has different factory hardware eFUSE ntargets). Smartass v2 tweaked for the new situation. Small lower on WLAN voltage in a try to save batt.
- Overclock submenu from ZeusTweaker updated. Now it allows to select both minimum and maximum scaling frequency, and set both at startup.
- At v6.33 DVFS is disabled after boot, while at v6.33B DVFS is removed from kernel itself. The most evident diff is that with 'B' version the phone is sluggish the first minute after boot (but after that it works well). I DON'T KNOW WHICH VERSION IS BETTER, SO I'LL THANK YOU TO TRY BOTH VERSIONS (v6.33 and v6.33B if you are using 'o' version, or, v6.33n and v6.33Bn if you are using 'n' version) AND COMMENT THE RESULTS.
- Updated the apps TitaniumBackup and Superuser.
[B]v6.32:[/B]
- Modified ZeusTweaker option to enable/disable the brightness control slider of notification window. Initially now rebooting is not needed. If after change it status bar doesn't automatically reappear (give it 1 minute...), then reboot to solve it.
- Modified ZeusTweaker option to enable/disable the music controls of notification windows. If now should work with and without Music.apk. In the past the function limited to hide the controls, but now it also avoids to load all the related stuff. If after change it status bar doesn't automatically reappear (give it 1 minute...), then reboot to solve it.

- Modified ZeusTweaker option to enable/disable the music controls of notification windows. Noy it has inmediate effect and reboot is no longer needed.
- Re-addition of Brightness Button on powerwidgets. Now the minimum brightness value is linked to the new minimum brightness value introduced on v6.3. NOTE: The brifhtness button used along brightness slider does not correctly work. There's no problem, but it will fail to change to minimum value.
- Updated ZeusTweaker to allow the new functions.
- Included BackLongPress to kill apps fix for v6.3 (is not necessary with 'n' version).
- Updated some languages at Xperia S Launcher (thanks dudes!)
[B]v6.3:[/B]
- Enhanced RTL support (but not full, sorry...). To set arabic language you have to use Morelocale preinstalled app. You can also flash a pack to change keyboard to Gingerbread one with Arabic support. For other languages you have to install other language pack from market.

- Option at ZeusTweaker to manually reset RIL Daemon. Use it if you lose data connection to recover it without rebooting... it will ask you again for PIN code.
- GsmDataConnectionTracker Pdp Poll logging removed, with option to restore it through ZeusTweaker. Not only avoid to show the log... it avoids too all the operations to generate the strings, so it shoud save some CPU cycles.
- Runtime options through system properties (build.prop, local.prop, setprop command) to define GsmDataConnectionTracker polling interval and to disable FastDormancy (only useful in cases where the operator doesn't support FD). The options are controllable through ZeusTweaker.

All other non LG system apps can be restored no problem. I just need my alarm clock
--- UPDATE ---
I was able to install the LG Alarm Clock app by manually copying the clock.apk file from the apps download

Deodexed full (except 3 files) app folder: http://www.multiupload.com/2BAK8GULAT

Everything works great now, thanks!

I am using Zeus ROM, but I guess it's either because of a wrong download, so try downloading again, a bad file provided by tantrums, or a modification of yours.
Dont change anything in the .zip, except for you are able to sign the ROM again.

This is my concern also. thks
Great...
I just thought that I don't have much time at this semester, so I hope this thread is intended to support the repackage/customized stuff
How about changing the format from ext3 to ext4 or is it already done?

CM 9 safe kernel to flash. There are no modules in this kernel, just the kernel. Flash while phone in download mode from Odin or Heimdall.
Find it here
Not sure if its OK to flash from your current kernel? - Your answer awaits you here - credit chasmodo
FAQ's - by sunny2303
1. Has this ROM been ported from any other device ROM (like Nexus 7)?
No, we at Asylum believe in original work and the developer has built this completely from scratch using CM10 sources, for details refer credits in OP of ROM thread
2. Which kernels are safe to directly wipe and flash Asylum JB from? (BTW, flashing instructions in the OP need updating too - chas)
a) any CM9 or CM10 based kernels (don’t know how to put the goddamn bullet, someone edit my edits, please - chas)
b) any NoteCore, SpeedMod v4 and above, Franco v4 and above
c) any GB kernel
3. Which kernels must be replaced before wiping and flashing Asylum JB?
a) any CF--Root ICS kernel (GB are OK) ------>This one should be moved to #2, but only if Anti and Ripper are ABSOLUTELY certain that Asylum/Aroma updater script does not issue any dangerous format commands (contact me for detailed explanation - chas)
b) you must flash a safe kernel (see #2) if you have rooted any stock ICS Rom using CWM.zip with superuser and busybox
c) SpeedMod v3 and below, Franco v3 and below
d) old leaked kernels such as LP1, LP5 and LP6
4. What does Aroma Installer do?
Aroma installer helps you customize ROM to suit your requirements, with installation of your choice, from the choices in built in ROM installation.
5. Do I wipe before or after running Aroma Installer?
Always wipe before running Aroma. You will lose all user apps Aroma has installed if you do a
factory reset after the flash is done.
6. Do I need to flash Gapps separately?
Yes
7. Is removed apks.zip a CWM flashable zip file?
No, to avoid bloating of your phone with apps which you may not need, you can copy specific apk file from removed apks.zip and paste it in /system/app, change permissions to rw-r—r--
8. How can I change DPI settings?
Aroma installer provides you an option during installation to choose your preferred dpi between 320, 240, 213 and 160.
If you have installed with one of these setting and wish to change to other, you can use tool like “ROM toolbox lite or pro” (available on play store)
Non standard dpi settings (other than ones mentioned above) may result in improper functioning of some apps & play store
9. How can I change governor & scheduler?
You will have to use a tool like “Set CPU” (available on play store) to unleash options of governor & scheduler that Asylum kernel offers (alternative: you can change governor from Settings/Performance/Processor/CPU Governor, and I/O scheduler using Rom Toolbox/Kernel Tweaks - Rom Toolbox was already recommended for DPI management -chas)
For more information about governor & scheduler, you may refer here. Please thank the OP if you found it helpful
10. Which are compatible kernels with Asylum JB?
Asylum kernel which comes in built with the ROM is the recommended kernel
In case you wish to try other kernels, you may try any CM10 based kernel available on Chasmodo’s kernel repository. Please do not forget to press “Thanks” button if you pick any kernels there ☺
11. What is Full wipe & what is Cache wipe using CWM?
Full wipe :
Step 1. Wipe Data/ Factory reset
Step 2. Wipe Cache partition
Step 3. Advanced – Wipe Dalvik Cache
Full wipe will erase data like applications and application settings etc though user data like media files and external sd card content will be untouched. However, keeping a backup on PC is recommended.
Cache wipe:
Only step 2 & 3 of above

12. I am on another JB ROM is it safe to flash Asylum JB from there?
Absolutely yes, however we strongly recommend Full wipe option mentioned above if you come from any other ROM other than previous Asylum JB versions (from JB Beta 1 onwards)
13. Can I do a Full wipe and still get my apps after flashing Asylum JB?
Well… Yes. While you are on your previous ROM make a flashable zip of your apps using “App2zip” application (available on play store). Place it securely on your internal sd card ( keeping a back up on PC is recommended). Once you have flashed Asylum JB, simply go in recovery mode and flash the update.zip you would have created earlier OR
You can use Titanium Backup for backup and restore, but we recommend only application restore and not data. For heavy data applications like games, you may want to use restore app+data option but smooth functioning cannot be assured (most users however have found this working well).
14. My external SD card is missing?
Use ES file explorer which comes with Asylum JB
Go in settings
Check the option “Up to root”, press back
In explorer mode click “Up”
You will find ExtSdCard, that’s where contents of your external sd card are
15. Can I use different themes on Asylum JB?
Of course you can… download any compatible theme of your choice from Play Store
Go in System settings - Themes – Theme chooser, choose downloaded them – Select apply
If you are getting a “Theme error”, apply default system theme and then apply downloaded theme, ignore any error message if it shows. This should work 9/10 times, else contact the theme developer and ask him to customize the theme for this wonderful ROM ☺
16. Do applications like S-Note, S-Memo work on this ROM?
NO. Since this ROM has its roots from CM10 and abovementioned apps are Samsung proprietary apps these apps are not and will never work on Asylum JB probably.
Thanks to varied developers, we have able substitution available for most of these apps, if you care to browse play store ☺
17. I cannot connect the Note to my PC as mass storage (USB). What to do?
Nothing. Mass storage connection has been dumped from JB altogether. Use MTP connection
instead.
18. I cannot set my notification toggles. What do I do?
Change your DPI to 320, set the toggles, then change back to ani DPI you prefer and the
toggles will be there.
19. I have a question which has not been answered above?
First of all, thanks for reading entire FAQ list ☺
Come and join us on Asylum JB discussion thread and we will be happy to help you to the best of our knowledge based on inputs (screenshot, logcat etc) provided by you

For changelog of this awesome beast see [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097788"]HERE[/URL]...
In DjangoManouche (and other stock-based rom) we have only one (not important IMHO) bug: LCD brightness regulation doesn't work but auto brightness works very well!! BTW I applied auto brightness by default in my rom so... don't worry!

Ps: before someone ask this: I WILL NEVER CREATE A THREAD FOR KINGOFBIRDS KERNEL... This because my contribution to code is 0.1%, remaining part is from: wkpark, pengus77, harsh and other real developers.. So i think it will be not fair to give it a thread.. And... A stock lg code with 20 patches is not a proper custom kernel... like a rom with 2 or 3 more apps is not a proper custom rom

Ps: I WILL NEVER CREATE A THREAD FOR KINGOFBIRDS KERNEL... This because my contribution to code is 0.1%, remaining part is from: wkpark, pengus77, harsh and topogigi.. So i think it will be not fair to give it a thread.. And... A stock lg code with 20 patches is not a proper custom kernel...And another rom with 2 or 3 more apps is not a different rom

How to go back to LG stock rom memory management
Since ICS, Andorid memory management is hardcoded in service.jar, so to use different memory settings I used amazing script Supercharger by Zeppelinrox, customizing LMK settings and tweaks.
If you want to use LG Stock values (DjangoManouche X default are for more free ram) you simply have to:
- use Es File explorer with root access
- navigate to /data/V6_SuperCharger and rename SuperChargerAdj and SuperChargerMinfree to SuperChargerAdj.bak and SuperChargerMinfree.bak
- rename SuperChargerMinfreeOld and SuperChargerAdjOld to SuperChargerMinfree and SuperChargerAdj
- Reboot
USEFUL GUIDES to MANAGE CRON JOBS
GUIDE TO CHANGE TIMEZONE FOR CRON JOB
Take a look here: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/system at the Timezone table...
then copy the TZ string for your zone (only first part before comma, ie. PST8PDT)
paste this value in system/xbin/startcron.sh, replacing CET-1CEST (time zone for Italy and Western Europe) in line: TZ=CET-1CEST.
Save, check permission and reboot
