[Q] process com.android.mms stopped unexpectedly

Hi,
I have a problem,,, I have a rooted tab, I installed some apps... and recently I have been getting "process com.android.mms stopped unexpectedly"... after which, my WiFi doesn't work, Bluetooth doesnt work and some apps start to force close.
I tried to remove the apps that force close by themselves like PowerAmp but i am unable to unistall! when I try to unistall, Superuser also forcecloses.
I have wiped the device clean 3 times so far, re rooted, reinstalled the clockworkmod etc... it works for a couple of days then starts crashing again!
is there a way to find out what is causing this...

Are you using a t-mobile tab? And if so are you using it as 2g + phone?

I use to have the same issue. It didn't stop happening for me until I started using a custom rom.

I am using a custom Rom. It was working fine.
I suspect it is an application I am using that is causing this. but I cannot figure out which one!

Guys, someone please help... After I reinstalled the RoM etc... I just got the same msg today!
Process com.android.mms crashed and followed by whatsapp and photobucket and wifi doesnt work etc etc..

Are you sure your flashing the rom correctly, it should fix these errors, or download the rom agan, maybe your download is corrupt

Yes... it has been working since my last Flash which was April 15 without any issues.
I downloaded some apps from Market yesterday and today I restarted the Tab and when I did I started getting the MMS error again.
When this happens, I am unable to Uninstall any apps, clear cache or data from Settings/applications, or do anything...
Even my previous Backup which was done in Recovery mode is not there :S
There must be some fix for this... Its really frustrating.
I deleted MMSSMS.DB file and still I get the same errors... Seems like an app that I installed received a msg or something and that msg is corrupt... If I didnt know any better, I would think its a virus!

[Q] Constant Errors

Hi, I came here to XDA hoping to find an answer to my problem since I cant fix it by myself.
I keep getting errors like "process android.process.media has stopped" , "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and "Unfortunately, the process android.process.core has stopped" with an 'OK' to dismiss it.
They appear when I'm using applications mostly applications that require internet connection like Browser, Playstore, Talk, Contacts, Google Search, Messaging, Gmail sometimes the settings. After the error appears the app will force close.
Sometimes the error appears even if i'm not doing anything like every time i wake my phone up the errors are there.
I'm Currently Running on:
4.0.4 ICS
DarkROM_v11.0_Black_Edition
I kinda know how the problem started, those errors appeared after I rebooted my phone, but before that I installed a Data Fix to fix my Low memory issue via Recovery, when I rebooted my phone everything worked fine after I installed it. then when i rebooted it again to change my battery that's when the errors appeared. I tried some solutions like clearing the data on those apps like contacts storage etc.. I also tried deleting my Google accounts and adding them back again still doesn't work.
It's really annoying and I can't really do much since they constantly Pop-up every few seconds.
Any kind of help is appreciated. :good:
Oh and by the way Factory Reset or anything that deletes all of my Data, is my LAST RESORT.
I'm hoping to find a solution without doing that. because i have a ton of game data stored on my phone. and it will be a pain to back them up. but if I don't have any choice i'll have to live with it.

what you could try is in CWM onl doe the wipes for cache and devlink. And additional fix permissions.
If this does not help, reflash the rom.zip just on top. Only also with wipe cache and devlink.
If this does not help, then you can try to flash just the gapps ontop. But be sure that you download the zip. for your rom and or for your ICS....

If all this doesn't help, i am afraid there is nothing else then you do a new, clean installation on your phone....

[Q] Google Play does not work :(

registering gmail and google play does not work on wi-fi, works fine on Mobile Internet!!....
I am worried, please help...
Error Messages received while opening GP:
- Connection error
- No Connection etc
i tried everything, flash original software, wipe cache, factory reset, disabling and enabling google play and download it just dont work...
i m using 4.1.2

did you try clearing data of google play store?
remove your google account from settings, restart your phone, re-enter your google account.

yes i did everything.... cleaned data off of my google play store several times, removed my account, restarted my phone, factory reset but when i register my account again it just wont register
help needed gurus...

Maybe your problem is not in your phone, but in your router or something?

[Q] HELP With The One

Hi, I have a bone stock non rooted,S-On,Bootloader Locked HTC One.
Had this problem with "Unfortunately Google Playstand" and Google Account Manager stopped working. Tried all the tips from googling this problem...even did a full factory reset with wiping all data from the phone.. No Joy.. I can't even login the play store, everytime after attempting to sign in with my email, the Google Account Manager Stopped Working came up...hope somebody can assist.

[Help] Troubles with google apps "No conection"

Hi guys since this morning i notice that I have a problem with google apps, when I open any of google apps I get a message saying "No conection". I had the same problem some time ago on another ROM but I got it solved, the problem is that I do not remember how.
I tried to install new gapps or any other older, but nothing. I have network connection, other applications (not of google) works fine.

I usually fix it by wiping system and flash the ROM then gapps again. Though this fixed my problem, yours might be different.
Please make sure that you don't mess with play services in any ways. I once also had the problem but with different cause, it was caused by Greenify. If you greenify Play Services, please degreenify it.
