[Q] LED Notification CM10 i9000m - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Im running semaphore's 2.6.5 JB kernel with CM10 stable rom. The issue is that when i receive notification the notification led/capacitive button light works. The problem is that it wont turn off until i turn the screen on myself. I feel that it drains the battery. So is it possible to change the duration of the led notification, like if i want the led to turn off after say 15mins

From what I've seen there is no such feature. I dont quite get the point of such notification if it would turn itself off But seriously, it shouldn't be draining the battery much. Have you used Better Battery Stats to maybe find the real culprit?

[Q] The led's on the menu buttons won't shut off!

I just flashed Serendipity and all is going well until I lock the phone. when I shut the screen down the 4 led's on the touch buttons won't shut off. They just stay lit with no purpose other than to drain my battery.
Is there a way to fix this?
You using BLN?
Tried it once but it ended up being of no use to me. Could I use it to turn them off?
That rom has BLN you need to download the app. Read their facts
Well they dont drain your battery !
They just stay on,weird though i am using serendipity 6.4 at the moment and those lights stay on only if you have notifications.....!
clearing the notifications should shut them and trust me dont worry they wont drain battery life

Looking for BackLight Notifications (BLN) for Note?

Hi,
Any change to get BLN enabled for Galaxy Note?
Please advice...
I'm running NoLed at the moment. Seems to be an OK solution (for me).

so if there is notification, display stays on all the time? or you use BLINK method?
i had NoLed pop up last night that i noticed only in the morning and it was on for 4.5 hours. it ate up 40% of battery (or 88% battery usage by display)
there is bled module, but it is not working on all custom rom... look at here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389394&highlight=bled

[Q] Hardware buttons notification lights on Cyanogen

Hi,
I've just changed from DarkyRom to Cyanogen but i've an issue. For any notifications (new mail, sms or else) the hardware buttons light up. I would like to disable that because it drains the battery. Is it possible to disable that or just apply it for sms or missed called and nothing else ?
This rom is quite impressive except for the battery life ... Darky's is much better, i could keep my phone 2.5 days without having to charge the battery. With CM i can barely use it one day ....
Try flashing a custom kernel. That should increase your battery life.
As for the LED notification, it doesn't actually use up that much battery.

You mean based on Cyanogen ?
Aye. I personally prefer Glitch, but there are plenty of other good CM7 kernels out there. I am not sure if undervolting actually affects battery life, but it might help as well.

Can I disable the low battery LED?

I'd like to disable the LED that keeps blinking when the battery gets low. The pop ups are irritating too - I'd like to get rid of those if I could as well.
But the flashing LED really sucks when I'm using my phone in bed at night.
Yup... quite annoying.. Would like to disable it.. if possible

It there a way to disable the notification led for low battery?(no root)
I Found A Fix For It!
Bro, The problem is that you might have set auto turn battery saver at a certain percentage.
So once the battery reaches below that percentage , it will keep on blinking the led notification light .
I had this problem too...
