you can get it from HANDTEC.CO.UK to your home country!
it also exempts you from VAT

I live in Turkey and it is not allowed to get mobile phones via air parcel or sth like this. We can just get one with us when we return to Turkey from abroad.
So release date.is not suitable to get it from Dubai.
This means i can buy HTC Butterfly instead of Xperia Z

You can't...Unless you buy the Phone SIM free. PAYG versions or the handsets are usually network locked (and possibly network branded).
Only way you're guaranteed to get a sim free version is by getting one on contract through CPW or P4U etc.

Just buy a sim free from P4U or CPW no contract needed and stick any SIM you want in it

Bought my black one from Carphone Warehouse on pay and go, Vodafone p&g SIM now with 3 UK SIM, never had a phone yet from Carphone Warehouse that was locked to a network or have any branding

I couldn't find any C6906 models in stock anywhere either. I ordered mine from an ebay seller in Canada who got the unlocked model from a Sony store.
There is only one website that even has it advertised, and they don't even have it in stock. Here it is:

When you contact them, they claim that they'll either get it soon or some time in November. Either way, keep your eyes peeled on eBay or that website. If you look on eBay be sure to check eBay.ca and all the fine print to make sure there's some sort of return policy in case they send you a C6903 model or something. I am lucky enough to have friends in Canada that got the phone for me, on AT&T's network, this phone is amazingly fast!

the only seller on ebay who has the C6906 is selling it for 799+tax
I'm debating if its worth it at that price, or wait until more stock arrives and price lowers.

Hello! I have a question for the z1....
I'm looking to get a z1 but I am trying to get the right model to support the AT&T LTE network. I believe it's bands 17 and 4 that are mostly used which leaves me only the c6906 for only option (correct me if I'm wrong please).
The problem is I don't see anything for this model on the Sony store anywhere. How or where do I get one?
The current one listed on the Sony store is the c9602 I think. Would that still work?

Yea I don't think the c6902 will with getting you 4G LTE. I was going to get the C6903 but thought I would be better off with the C6906 since it has all the bands baked in. Can't go wrong with that.
I was lucky to get mines on eBay from a seller in Miami. Brand new untouched! three seconds left on the auction. The others don't see it coming, bet they were all pissed! Lol

I needed a new phone quickly because my old one broke and I need it for my work.
Walked into a big electronic store and they sold it for €560. Now they told me it was the newest phone available and that store always raise prices in the hopes to get early buyers. So I walked to the second biggest electronics store and bought it for €430.
