[Q] Kindle Fire HD Questions - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I am a rooted Kindle Fire HD 7" owner. I would like to know some details about a jelly bean OS for my device so I can replace the clunky Amazon's version of Android. I would also like to know, if the process of making the jelly bean on it is not completed, the progress that has been made on it. Thank you!

The KFU is meant for a 1st gen Kindle Fire and using it on a Kindle HD or 2nd gen can cause serious bad issues. Here is one link for rooting an HD: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35156970

Yes you can, try this:

You will need to be able to get it into fast boot though, so you will need a fast boot cable.

In Which Version Your Kindle Is?
Not sure if if u asked what version is my kindle is or what version of the kindle do I have. I have a kindle HD 7 inch and its not running Amazon's os anymore, its running cm 10.1, jesters tablet ui version, hence my SIG. If I completely misunderstood the question then my bad.

Have you figured out a way to root the Kindle Fire HD 7.4.3? Most of the guides I read state that people are having trouble rooting the most recent Amazon version of the device.
Thanks!

Yeah sometimes the root with restore don't work the first time. I've had times were it took me 7 or 8 times to get it to work. Keep trying it will eventually go thru and root your kindle.

Try kindle fire first aide to return to 7.2.3 then try original root method from there, just make sure to turn off ota updates before using WiFi and everything should be easier

For the sake of not bricking your kindle here's a heads up, you don't flash anything like clockworks, only thing we can use right now I'm aware of is twrp. For more information read this thread:
