This is my first ROM that I'm releasing. So be gentle, but I've done my best on this rom.
The rom is inspired by the amazing new Sony Xperia Z phone.
I've ported many apps and media directly from the Xperia Z system dump (10.1.A.1.434)
You will get, as close as it can be, the real Xperia Z experience on your Galaxy S III (i9300)
Rom Details:
- Based on the latest Samsung STOCK XXEMC3 firmware
- Stock XXEMC3 Kernel (with init.d support)
- And Much more kernels to choose in the Aroma installer!
- AROMA installer (since v.0.9.7), You can choose many add-ons / Samsung apps in the Aroma installer.
- VERY lite rom, removed all the Samsung bloatware, Base rom (without selecting add-ons in the Aroma installer) is only 416 MB including 33+ MB of original Sony Xperia Z Wallpapers)
- The ROM is fully Deodexed & Zip-aligned

FAQ:
- It's STRONGLY ADVICED to BUY the JKay Deluxe Settings app from the Play Store with this ROM!
(I won't earn anything from the app, since its made by _JKay_, and not by me)
You will get MANY extra features/options with the JKay deluxe settings app! For example:
Choose between 6 different lock screens (including the Samsung ripple/ink and AOSP lock screen)
Enable Multi-Window for 3rd party apps
Make the statusbar transparent
Change the battery icon to the one that's in the screenshots
Enable the toggles you want or even add a 2nd row of toggles to the notification panel
And MANY MORE!!
The JKay Framework is already integrated in this rom, so don't flash it by yourself (you will LOSE the Elegant theme)
You only need to download the JKay Deluxe Settings app from the Play Store!
- If there's an newer JKay framework out (that isn't in this rom yet) then you can follow this guide to update to the newer JKay framework: Click Here!
- If you wanna have the Samsung lockscreen: Open the JKay Deluxe Settings app -> Select 'Circle'
And disable this: Set common options -> de-activate 'Transparent status bar'
- The Jelly Bean lock screen in the JKay settings app is the Xperia Z lock screen.
- You can only change the lock screen wallpaper for the Circle (Samsung) lock screen via the usual method... Or you can use this method to change the lock screen wallpaper for the Xperia Z lock screen:
For XperianZe 0.9.7.2+: Use the 'Lock Screen' shortcut in your app-drawer to change the lock screen wallpaper, and make sure you use the Sony album app to crop your image, when it get asked.
- When you use the Xperia Z lock screen, you will see 0.3 - 0.5 second your original lock screen wallpaper when you unlock, this is the fix
- For the people who can't change the lock screen wallpaper for the Circle (Samsung) lock screen:
Make sure this option in JKay deluxe settings app is de-activated: Under 'lock screen options'; set common options -> de-activate transparant status bar.
Now set a lock screen wallpaper with the Samsung Gallery. The Sony album app won't work.
- Standard you will have a Blue Xperia battery mod icon by ksr007 in the status-bar, not the one in the screenshots:
Can be fixed using the JKay Deluxe Settings app from the Play Store: Statusbar options -> de-activate 'Hires battery icon'
- You can find an Circle battery mod in the Aroma installer, to get the old Circle battery statusbar icon back (which was in XperianZe 0.9.6.1 and older)
- If you wanna fix the gap between the data arrows and the data icon in the statusbar, then enable this option in the JKay app: Statusbar options -> activate 'AOSP data layout'
- If Multi window mod doesn't work for 3rd party apps:
Fix: Activate the 'All apps support multi window' option in the JKay Deluxe Settings app, reboot after that.
- If you use one of the Xperia Z launchers; then make sure that you set the 'Window animation scale' in Developer options at least at .5x,
when you select 'Animation off' then you will have problems with launching apps in the Xperia Launcher.
- If you are having problems with Phone calls, make sure you have a recent Modem/baseband installed! A few good modems are: XXELLA, XXEMB1 & BUEMA1

Since XperianZe 0.9.6 I deliver the newest modem (XXEMB6) with the rom.
- If you did choose for the Boeffla, the Adam or the Shark kernel in the Aroma installer, then you can use the Boeffla sound control app from the Play Store, to tweak your sound. See post #2 for a link to the app in the Play Store.
- You can Backup/restore your JKay Deluxe settings in the JKay app with the Menu key! (don't forget to restore it after a wipe / ROM upgrade)

- The rom base is still the same size (420 MB)
- Read the instructions in the Aroma installer carefully before going to the next step in the installer.
- Added also some new add-ons in the Aroma installer:

- You can also only install extra add-ons with the Aroma installer, without installing the rom again. (de-select ‘Update Rom Base’ in the Aroma installer)
- The Preload partition is now also wiped by the installation script automatically (So, you only need to do a Data/factory reset now if you want to do a clean install)

Bugs:
- Sometimes the Aroma installer freezes... You need to reboot in recovery again then (Long hold: Vol+, Power button and Home button till Samsung screen comes up) and try it again.
Some porting 'bugs':
- You can't edit the song info with the Sony Walkman app.
- The Walkman FaceBook 'Like' function doesn't work

How-to Install:
- Do a Data/Factory reset first in CWM (if you come from another rom, or XperianZe 0.9.7.2 and older)
- Start the installation
- Read the instructions in the Aroma installer
- Choose carefully the packages you want in the Aroma installer.
- Install the rom (the installation script of this rom will wipe the following partitions automatically for you: Cache, Dalvik Cache, System and Preload.)
- Enjoy the Rom!
- Do NOT restore app data or system apps with Titanium backup, this can cause many problems. (applies to any rom)
Install extra add-ons after installation:
- If you want to install some other add-ons after you've installed the rom, then just start the Aroma installer again, just select the option 'Only Add-ons' in the Aroma installer and select the add-ons you want to install.

See the Bugs list in the first post, it needs the JKay Deluxe app (from the Play Store) to change it to the one in the screenshots.
I know it's a paid app (by JKay), but I can really advice you this app, you will get many extra cool features / settings.

I dont know if it is a bug or not but .. But when I for example get a sms the sms icon does not get a 1 indicating that
I just received a sms. However there is a notification in the notification bar.

That's because the Messages app does have another icon (from the Elegant theme), you will always have this when you have a system theme applied.

I found the reasons of FCS...because I install Hydrid kernel in aroma . When I install the difference kernel, ,no fc.
The jkay aosp theme is very nice, but something haven't themed yet, ,eg : pop-ups,...Thanks for the rom and sorry because my English is bad

Even after spicing the AOSP version a little, (added voice recording, world nav, and aosp lock)
this has been rock solid without a single force close.
I do have a question. Right now I have stock kernel.
If I flash Siyah or another, do I lose any tweaks?
And is there any specific one recommended for battery life?
I know this is a matter of opinion but sometimes developers test or tweak their roms with specific kernels in mind.
Thanks for such a great rom.

My WLAN on std Rom will not suspend...
I think it costs a bit of battery...
On Samsung's wifi is interrupted in the battery log. On my Sony it is not. Stamina is on.
The Sony keyboard sucks....
- Swiftkeyboard(=new Samsung keyboard) is much better. I like the auto space insert function. And word prediction! And if a word is wrong, and its going to auto correct, Samsung keyboard will not delete the word, like Sony keyboard. Samsung keyboard only go one step back and it's possible to correct the word. On Sony I have to write the hole word new.
-Maybe a force hdr photos/videos at all time tweak.
- A tweak to remove softkeys at bottom
And insert it to a menu into powerbutton,slide up from bottom, into launcher as toggle app, every gesture you want, to Re-reenable it.
- Same to disable statusbar, temporarily.
Its a lot of unusable space in some conditions.
- Maybe the 23toggle +1 bar.
The 1 is full screen mode, with{out} statusbar and no softkeys at bottom.

Thank you so much ! I never saw and heard about HJsplit.
This is my first Sony phone. And I have never seen 2 separate zips and I have never heard of HJsplit. (And I am an advanced user witch is coming (grown) from G1)
Noob friendly recommendation:
CHARGE THE PHONE ! (The phone do not charge in the recovery mode when connected to PC usb. My phone was dead after I clicked reboot to recovery ! And the power button key did not work....Only then I realized the problem was a battery. And the phone was 46% charged !!)
After you flashed recovery the phone would not restart to stock rom ! Even if you wipe catch and Dalwik. So remember the New rom supposed to be in your "SD card" or internal memory before you flash "recovery" (boot.img) So there was NO point to make a backup.
1) Download 2 parts of rom. Do not extract them.
2) Download HJsplit
3) Create folder with the name "Rom".
4) Put in Rom folder "RomAur V1.7z.001" and "RomAur V1.7z.002"
5) Open HJsplit and click "Join"
6) In "File input" choose "RomAur V1.7z.001". In "Output" choose "Rom folder".
The program will automatically generate 2 parts.
7) The generated zip will be located in Rom folder. Extract it. And copy to SD card or to internal memory.
8).....you know what to do next.

Rom toolbox, Titanium Backup pro, and so on.

After flashing, for better performance go to Settings - Power saving - Power saving mode, turn it ON, go to Restrict performance and uncheck all options if they are on. It will turn Power saving off.
If phone won't boot after flashing the ROM, flash STOCK Kernel

- The modem is not included in this ROM. You will keep your current modem. To change modem this will need to be done with Odin.
- This ROM is built for standard DPI. If you wish to change it that is fine but I don’t take requests to fix DPI issues.

Or you can try to fix Wi-Fi manually:
Using Root Explorer go to /data/ and create a new file name called .cid.info. Press and hold the file for options, click edit text and write murata in it. Save the file with rw-rw-r permission and reboot your phone. Wi-Fi should work now.

Psst, one tip - If I were to create such rom I would definitely precize which base I use.
I mean, in your case, which preview of Port have you implemented - 1,2 or, released today 3?
Just add proper info in OP.

Why even base a ROM on Archi's port? It isn't that stable yet.
I get that people want's to create new ROM's based on his port but this is just ridiculous..

How about a suggestion that instead of making a rom based on @JustArchi port why don't you make an aroma version flashable theme for this S3 kitkat?
As other's concern, this port is not yet stable. And theming is far way beyond this time. It's good if people can focus first about the port development rather than flashing S5 themed ROM that is yet unstable. It'll be more efficient if people can just try to theme Archi port by flashing Aroma S5 theme.

Wifi works fine. But some reported problem with wifi, but wifi in JustArchi's ROM works too.

ROM Installation process:
1) FULL WIPE is highly recommended!
2) Go to CWM based recovery (PhilzTouch Recovery in recommended) by holding HOME - POWER - and VOL UP BUTTON
3) Choose "Install ZIP from sdcard"
4) Choose ROM zip file
5) Go through Aroma Installer and select, what you want
6) Wait for finishing flashing
7) Reboot and enjoy Galaxy Note 4

- The modem is not included in this ROM. You will keep your current modem. To change modem this will need to be done with Odin.
- This ROM is built for standard DPI. If you wish to change it that is fine but I don’t take requests to fix DPI issues.

Note 4 apps consume about 650-700 MB of RAM but back-to-n00t base ROM has to have better RAM management, because dialer and contacts never close at all and I have installed about 30 apps from Play store (Google+ and FB included) and nothing greenified. Some little lag is here and there but it's not too bad.

I have permission by Arsaw from E-Team to use some Note 4 apps and features And my ROM is based on arter97's back-to-n00t ROM, not on E-team's one

just today i reinstall blekota s5 lite rom v9 an everything works perfect no i handle to solve the weird wifi direct problem i was having, and now i see this oh boy¡ flashing again thanks blekota you are an amazing developer¡ gonna try to rom later and see how is going
