Time to say goodbye!

TOday, I have sold my optimus black.
Sadly, I will not contribute much on P970 thread in xda in the future. However, I am happy to share my experience when using P970 if you want to listen...
This is my first smart phone for daily use...
What's more, I would like to thank all the developers and members. Without their contribution, I cannot try so many wonderful and powerful ROMs like Marvel and Zeus... I would like to thank Redy, Huexxx... They are so kind to answer my questions. Zeus is the best ROMs that I have tried.
Now, I am still considering which is the next smart phone will be.
I think galaxy nexus or optimus 2X are the good choice.
Any ideas?

Your choices are galaxy nexus and LG 2X ? Galaxy is like twice the price of an optimus 2x (atleast in my country). Still, I'm not even going to talk about LG's technical phone support...I would choose galaxy nexus even without a need to think about it.

Both are too expensive for me.
Besides, Nexus is so reasonable price in my country, just the same with the optimus 2X

Seems that prices in my country are so different with yours. Galaxy nexus is 40 euros more expensive than Sony Xperia S !? SGS 2 is is priced at 480 euros, which is the same as the Sony.
But ridiculously cheap is SE arc s (290 eur), which is cheaper than OB originally was last summer.
If i could i would change my ob to arc s any time.

Let you tell your the truth of in my country.
Both 2X and Nexus are US$400. Are they too expensive?

yeah... but with power comes reaponsibility as uncle Ben said to a little spidey and lg shows no signs of responsibility at all....

To be honest the only reason for not selling my OB is the great developers(even if not many in number), and the community. It haven't been an easy ride at all, and it is all LGs fault of being slappy and improve.
And that will definitely be my last LG item (phone,tv,etc) for a long while.
I would personally go with the nexus or if price is not to high with the Samsung Note.

I would look for the galaxy nexus or the htc one s not the x (i'm also looking to buy the one S)
I still think htc is more reliable then lg and samsung… but that's my opinion

We have the advantage to wait they say there is an issue with CPU throttling I know it was not the final version but let's wait until the final version prove its otherwise. (I am dying for that phone too but I thought to tell you our advantages)

does edfa3ly really work? i've never ordered through them before.
i was planning to just order one and get it in march when i return to the US.

i want to buy it as well and i have no clue when it is going to hit our stores , i have an uncle in the USA but he refused to use his credit card lol
any ideas ? also , edfa3li don't support google playstore any longer , buying the phone off Amazon is going to be a rip-off

U can order it from play store using proxy... Make a play market account and include ur uncle address on it and order it from Google.

[Q] Xperia T Update

will be updated Xperia T to android 4.2?

Sony havent announced anything about releasing 4.2 on xperia t. If you mean 4.1.2 then that should be delivered to your phone ota by your carrier.

Would be nice to know if they have plans to upgrade it to 4.2 .

As they have made no announcement that means they have no plans to do it.

Companies nowadays would rather have you buy a new phone after a few months than give you support for the one you already bought.
That's why custom roms and development are so important.

After two years with the HTC Incredible S, the phone's USB port has broken for the second time, forcing a change decision. The contenders are:
1. HTC Butterfly. 2. Sony Xperia Z. 3. HTC One.
Discussions of Pros/Cons:
Screen size: HTC B=SXZ>HTC 1.
Display (PPI, Brightness/contrast/technology): HTC1>HTC B>SXZ.
Processors/RAM/GPU: HTC 1>SXZ=HTC B.
Battery: SXZ>1>B.
Build quality/aesthetics: SXZ=1>B.
Root/boot loader unlockable/ CID Unlockable: SXZ>>1&B. This aspect is most important for future usability once OEM discontinues support (ref HTC HD2).
Memory/storage: SXZ (16+32/64)=B(16+32/64)>1(32/64, only 32 planned in India, as yet).
Price low to high, India only, sim-free, carrier-free: SXZ(<40k)>B(43-45k)>1(>50k)..

HTC One im getting. The dev support seems its going to be as great as the HOX. I doubt there will be any issues in unlocking and s-off. Especially since HOX got facepalm s-off.

As for me, getting the HTC One, my Inc S is still good for at least another year, but I'd really like to get a new one.

I'm sticking with Google phones going forward. They are the only phones that can be brought brand new for under 400.00 US dollars. The One is almost 600 and the GS4 will probably be around 600.

I am still using the HTC Salsa as my primary phone .Ans I am thankful to developers like u to keep the fun alive in this 2.5 years old device :good:
Have been using the stock ROM as all the JB ROMS are having camera , Battery & GPS issue on my device
I plan to upgrade it by December this year , and the main reason for my upgrade is 1.Most Games are not supported on this device
2.I need a bigger screen and more RAM ( i think the iPhone 5 Screen Best suits me ) as i mainly read ebooks on my device ( other than Whats app and calling )
3.SNS integration for me is not a BIG buying decision ,( LOL I know u would be thinking then why i bought a phone with 'f- button ' that was mainly as I am a BIG BIG HTC fan and at the time pf buying Salsa in the budget I only had HTC Wildfire as a alternative option )
4.My next phone could be the HTC One Mini .As mentioned I like the screen size not more than 4.5

Well i just bought nexus as my primary phone, but im not selling my salsa cuz so many memories left behind. I wat to say thanx for all developers in here especially fo bigbear who helping me a lots back there.

Still use Salsa as primary phone. Maybe next year I buy a new phone because CPU works a bit slow and internal memory is too small.
In this time I will help to develop the newer Android versions for the old Salsa.

I got a tab 2 in March End, I'm using it for screen size as primary device now. I won't sell my salsa cause I'm changing my ISP now so hopefully by diwali I do compiling from source of CM and PA ROMs..... I have all the necessary things only thing bothering was internet. I hope that gets resolved. Once it does I'm on a roll.
crest_delta one mini is not a bad choice, look out for more. Push the threshold to 5 inches. Cause anything under 4.5 isn't too great. I got a 7 inch tab for phone calls, trust me tab is fun, if you are ready to bear with a radio set like thing to hold in hands while talking on a phone call. Or better is to keep your salsa and get a nexus 7 WiFi and give a hotspot to it from salsa.

Gave my salsa to my bro, bought xolo q700.

although I've gained an iPhone 4s I'm still using my salsa for satnav etc, but my kids use it alot when I'm not around. i would keep developing but my divorce is kinda messy right now and i cannot do anything.

Sold my Salsa last month.
Got Nokia lumia 925.I must say i really didnt want to sell it for the memories but i use only 1 sim and hence there was no point in keeping it.

sold my salsa for 7.25k. it was maintained as good as new. not a single scratch. i know its high price..but was bit lucky!
