I was updating my phone and it freezed with screen "s/w upgrade" it doesn't work at all .i tried to reconnect it but still the same screen also i tried to reboot but it always gives me the same screen with the same message.my phone is locked and i didn't root it yet.

Try to reflash it with Smartflashtool. Take a v20 bin and fls. Look into my noob how to, if you need them.

Hi,
I, too, am stuck in the S/W Upgrade screen.
I turned my phone off and when I turned it on again I tried turning the volume down, but it turns out, that combination would lead one into the S/W Upgrade screen (sorry, noob). And now, I'm stuck at the S/W Upgrade screen. I want to turn it off again, but a friend of mine tells me not to because it might brick the phone, is that true?
My phone is not rooted.

I just pull the battery. Done that many times. My o2x still in good condition.

serious problem
Hi,
I tried to update my LG optimus 2x to android 2.3.4 but I forgot to turn "windows
Enabler.exe" ON and "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe" stuck on upgrade stage at 4% so I just closed "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe" and unplugged my phone. then I turned it (I exactly followed the instruction for upgrading in website) and phone stuck at "S/W upgrade ....: window. then I downloaded and followed the instruction for flashing the phone but after pushing "flash.bat" it stuck at "nvflash started" command and didn't happen anything after 25 mins so I stopped the window. then I tried recovery (push vol_down then power and release ...) and after opening up "Android recovery utility" I could go up and down on menus but I couldn't select it. I'm really confused what to do and will be really grateful if somebody help me.

Hello guys !
The problem that I have is that my phone keeps restarting after trying to update to 2.3.5.
The update appeared to be ok but before finishing you just have to select the language and so on.
Well, mine did not managed to reach that... It just keeps restarting and restarting and none of the buttons combinations does work for putting to download mode or reset mode.
I also uploaded a link for the movie, because it has 100mb and could not be uploaded here.
Any ideea guys?
Pull out battery, after a few minutes put it back and try to enter Download mode with 3-button combo (VolDown-Home-Power). Tell me if it works.

Now flash stock JVT with odin, restart, turn off, reboot in Download mode again, and flash a kernel to get CWM. After this, flash the custom rom that you prefer (or stay in stock).
I have made the steps like there, and when I reached the end It did not restart, and this time it is not starting at all and also not answering to any command.
No one can help? The phone also can not enter download mode !
Any one can see me or help me?
buddy do not play wid alll this thing....u perform all tbis by showing some guide.... there are lots of guide avail on xda for flash through odin so u have to follow

I could not make it work ! Not even using JIG ! homemade, but a good one - i checkd it.
So, it's back to warranty, hoping they will return it good or another one new.

Thank you! I had been trying to fix this problem all day and nothing worked until I tried this rom!
Hello again guys!
The phone returned from warranty, after 1month and 2 weeks.
It is not working as new, it has a little lag.
I installed Navigon and asphalt and the phone restarted, and entered the restart loop.
I made an update to I9003XXKP9 and i followed all steps but keeps restarting, i updated then to I9003XXKPE but with same problem, and at the end it can not make the hard reset, it turns some errors with red:
"E faild to mount data, no such file or directory."
"E:format_volume: rfs format faild on /dev/block/mmcblk0p3"
"Data wipe failed"
Any ideea?
Problem solved, 2nd time, by replacing mainboard. Thank you all for replying!
I just restored my phone to stock rom using rom manager.. After rebooting the phone just keeps on blinking like every two seconds with the LG symbol. Is there any solution to fix this ? Please help..
can you get to "recovery mode" ?
pull out battery, does it still do it when turned on again?
i had this when i used (Rom Manager) to restart my fone into recovery once, it doesnt correctly follow instruction some times.. however manual CWM usually works.

which ROM you were in before?EXT3 or EXT4?
if you gone back to Stock, u used a smartflash method?did u do the three wipes?switch off the phone, then hold vol down + power key button until you get the second greyish LG logo and then choose wipe data/cache and dalvik (to make a fresh an clean flashing)and reflash the stock ROM...it should be fine then.

from reading the log (as it quickly fly's up the screen) you will see it does this automatically
try nvflash and try to update your recovery.. if your using cwm recovery use 5.0.2

After my last attempt to put some ROM to keep a stable, result is the following - when i try to go in "Download Mode" , at the top left appears a text "KeyPressed,1". Ive got the exact same problem
Ill explain my problem in more depth
phone bootsup and flashes a pic of the android then goes into recovery mode so cant geto normal phone operations
under advanced , log it says checked for extendedcommand...skipped exection of extendedcommand, file not found...
other interesting thing to note center button does not work ie using only voulume and power switch but the touchscreen back button works
when I try to put in dl mode it does show yellow android but has keypressed,1 on screen as well ,
Computer knows that devise is there but doesn't show it up and Oden 1.7 sometimes picks it up but doesn't successfully update files says it failed

i as i was trying to upgrade from v10h to v20 via KDZ the procedure stuck and couldn t been copleted.i wait for 15 min and nothing so i unplug the usb .from then the phone opens and saws the s/w upgrade icon and it stuck like that.i try reflash , downgrade other flashing methods,lgmobile pc recovery tool, from my pc and from others but nothing.the phone opens from the power botton saws the lg thread and then saws and stay in s/w upgrade icon .i try to boot in recovery but nothing the phone does the same. please help

Maybe you destroyed your Bootloader?
