hey, I'm going crazy here searching for a way to clear the play queue in the Walkman app, it just keeps on cloging up more and more with every new album I want to listen to :crying: I'm not very keen of having to delete out each track one by one... I can't believe such a option has been forgotten. But seems like I'm missing something since I can't find anybody else having this issue!

Well that sounded like a promising workaround... but unfortunately not even that works! After clearing caches of two different Walkman apps the play queue suddenly has around thirty of the first tracks from the library...
Any other tips?

Are you sure you arent mixing up the media library with the play queue.
Yes I'm talking about the play queue, I've got over 4000 tracks in the library!
Wow, I guess I'm a bit embarrassed... the issue was just caused by user stupidity
For those wondering, just touch the first track in an album or artist from the library and all these tracks replace the current play queue.

One annoying feature, if you enable the headphone controls, it starts the player whenever you push the button (i.e. skipping a song in Pandora launches RockOn3 and they play simultaneously). Would be great if there was a playlist by folder creation function as well.

I just tried this out and it certainly contains the eye candy I love while still mainting usability. If I go past the Z however, it spins the opposite direction without stopping. I have to go to view mode then back to the three to stop it.
I love the automatic album art downloader too. Does it save the art to the actual mp3 file or to the app itself?

Yep, search for rockon and it's the third one down if i remember correctly. unfortunately the "3" is "³" as in cubed. Not sure why they chose such a hard to search for name...
I hate to say it but I've moved back to the stock music player. I can't stand how this player functions and it is painfully slow.
Anyone else have problems using the newest version of play music with touchless control? It will say no results and do nothing if I say, "play, so and so..."
If I uninstall all the updates, it works but when I then update it to the newest version it breaks.
Hm I've been trying to figure out a solution to this myself. I did the rollback like you suggested but while it finds the artist or album instead of giving the No Results Found error, it doesn't seem to automatically play any music for me
I've never rally been able to get it to start playing automatically for me. When it does do that it does an auto mix anyways and I usually want to listen to a particular album. So, I don't mind it not starting automatically if it's just going to do an instant mix.
Along the same lines, it won't play an album if I specify that either. At best it might play the title track of an album if I ask for it to play an album.

After trying a few times I have about the same success rate getting it to actually play an album as I did before. At least it brings up the albums now. Really disappointing, touchlessly controlling music was one of the main appeals of the Moto X for me. I was trying to use it while my hands were messy cooking the other night and I couldn't get anything I wanted to work, sad.
I've noticed if I say Play Pink Floyd or Karl Denson it only plays songs which have them in the title such as Pink Floyd Cover or Ft. Karl Denson.
I've noticed that too! If I say play Justin Timberlake, it will play T.I. (featuring Justin Timberlake) but no Justin Timberlake solo.
(Have mercy on my musical taste... I listen to some good stuff too, I swear. )

I believe if you go to settings>apps>play music it should give you a button to uninstall updates. You'll probably lose any music you have stored on the device, though. Just a warning.
Hi guys, I need some help. When I add a new song as a favourite in the Walkman app it does not add it as a favourite. The favourites star becomes yellow and then goes back to normal. Any ideas????

That sounds weird. Maybe try clearing the data on the walkman app? Your not doing anything funky like streaming the music through the walkman player are you? Have you tried with several songs from different artists/albums?

I tried clearing the data but still get the same effect. No i havent tried streaming at all to be honest and I get the same problem on every song i try to add as a favourite. I havent found anyone else with this problem on google so im hoping its just a minor bug or something i dont know :-s
So I just noticed the other day that when I'm listening to my all access and i go to skip a song from my lock screen, the song name will change but the band/ artist name wont. It really annoys me and was wondering if it was just a bug on my phone, or happened on others. the worst is when I have Pandora on and skip a song, I can see the song name, but the artist name will be from a song i listened to 2 hours ago...
wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how to possibly fix it or wait for an update

Happens to me with most of the music apps, I also posted it here and in the android general forums, but nobody knows why this happens nor how to fix it, try using shuttle or nexmusic, they are the only apps that I don't get this problem happening and are actually pretty good players

Yeah same here happens a lot on pandora. Oh well it changes after a little listening to the song.

I have joined the Samsung family after having been with Sony for many many years and the 1 thing I do miss are the music, keyboard and weather apps/widgets. Other then that I am loving the S10!
I do want to ask what music apps people are using though? Ideally I want 1 like Sony's as it gave me the option of a widget and I could download album art on there. I have tried many of the apks that are available for the Sony one, some don't work on the S10 and some work flawlessly EXCEPT I cannot make a playlist or add songs to my favourites. However when I tried doing these on other music apps and then going back to the Sony one, the songs will appear on my playlists?! Is there a reason for this? It's really bugging me that my S10 is not yet perfect for me :crying:
Any advice or recommendations are welcome!

I using Musicolet. It is new app. Is free and without ads, heavy customizable and light. I was using long time JetAudio, PowerAmp and now settled with Musicolet.

Samsung Music 16.2.16.10 (Available On Apk Mirror) is the best music app ever made for offline playback. Its very colorful just like Sony's Walkman used to be.
For Editing Album Arts etc I would recommend Star Music editor from the play store.

The Samsung app is very nice, but not usable for anyone with a music collection over 10k songs. It will only play the first 10k songs in the music players list. I've tried many different ways to get it to play different ways and it basically only plays the song you selected and the 9,999k in the first of the list from what the app can see. It wasn't like this prior to the apps updates introducing Spotify into the app.

Also thanks for the link to Sony's 1 but I have already tried that and as mentioned, creating playlists or adding to favourites doesn't seem to work ? but for some reason if I create those playlists in another music app, they will appear in the Sony one?!
