ums transfer uber slow or none! - Samsung Galaxy Mini

sd card class 10, high speed port for usb, update drivers, update samsung drivers...
STILL getting slow transfer speed rate or NONE! after 5 seconds got message on my pc The path is too deep, or F: disk cant be recognized...using emanonv7, cm7 mebitek/official, cm10.1, any rom gives me this...but after 5 restarts, 5,6 disconecting from ums, its back to normal for 2,3 transfers, and problem is back...
any idea whats the problem? Partitioning bad or...?
p.s. i didnt have this problem from november, before that i had just slow transfer rate, not this problem...

Just take backup of your SD card and then use Minitool Partition Wizard to delete all partitions and create partitions again.... Do create all partitions as primary and not logical... After that copy data to SD card again... I think your SD card has been fragmented too much...

major part of it is fat32 so i guessed it gets fragmented over time; but what's the best/appropriate way to fix it?
[suffering from >almost< same problem like nixoman; and whenever copying big chunks i go to recovery and mount usb, which makes the speed bareable]

AW: ums transfer uber slow or none!
You could buy a card reader for like 9€, connect it to pc, plug in sd and then try the defragment option of windows? (Is it called defragment?)
Edit::
Nooo... xD now I had nearly EXACTLY the same problem after copying half a gig music on the sd (well, it didn't work the first time, idk why so i did it another time and tada: transfer rate only ca 2 mb/sec this time.) I checked it with the defragment tool and i saw it was really fragmented. After defragmenting 2 times, now it's 0% fragmented again! I'd suggest it for you, too.

[Help] SD card is mounted by recovery but not by system

Hi there.
I have a 32 GB SD card, which is partitiooned onto FAT32 and ext 3 for s2e.
I rebooted into recovery to flash a new rom, and went to wipe data, it all went fine until the SD ext format. It got stuck (waited 15 minutes then pulled battery off). Tried again, nothing. But SD card mounted fine on recovery. Flashed the rom without wipes, it didn't boot. Replaced SD card and it booted. Unmounted the other SD card on settings, and plugged the 32 Gb one, it didn't recognized. But: recovery did.
Then I remembered I took my SD card off to listen to music on my DVD before that, could've that messed up my SD or external partition?
Will I have to reformat it on PC?27 GB of data, oh god

No that wont make the sd card corrupt.. bt if some operation is going and if u hav removed sd card. That could make it corrupt. Bt u try magic partition n first try to format only sd-ext if possible.
Or u can also try some recovery tools to copy ur data..
If dat doesnt work. I wil try to search for u n wil try how to get it back
Hit thanks if that helped u:thumbup:

Tried formatting sd ext on mini tool partition wizard. It took about 2 hours and showed unfformated partition. Tried again, same thing.
When I was going to format the main FAT32 partition my cousin left and took her notebook but tried through CWM recovery and it got stuck...
It still mounts on CWM, the pc and my dvd...
I think I will try to put it into my moms nokia then format it, then try to format it again on CWM

That will not delete the sd-ext and swap partitions if you have them.
If you have a card reader, you can do it manually by using MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition. I did it that way and had no problems at all, just watch out what are you doing

If they do not know what partitions are, then why would they make them on their sdcard anyway? If they can't make a difference between "Local Disk C", "NTFS FileSystem" (talking about Windows, Linux can create confusion) and "Removable Disk X" and "FAT", "EXT2/3/4", then i have anything other to say then - go to a roof of a building and jump off it

[Q] Changing default path for installation apps

Hello guys,
I'm sorry if this was a repeated question.
But i was wondering how we can change our default installation path on galaxy note?
Because the problem is everytime i download something from google play, its installed in the phone memory which is only around 1,5Gb
What's the use of 11Gb that we had on usb storage then? Can we somehow change the default path to usb storage?
And i don't want to use external SD card. I think that's all, thanks guys! Waiting for your respons!

I've tried that and it refers to the original function of move to sd card from the application settings. And it didn't work it says couldn't move not enough storage space and its because i dont have any sd card insert.
Therefore 11Gb usb storage only useful for extended game data and photo or music?

Using App2SD you can only move some part of an app to the 11GB (called as SD card or internal SD) memory..also, you cant move each & every app, since some apps needs to be on the Phone memory (memory which shows ~2GB)..I am using App2SD to reduce the load on Phone memory..it wl b useful for apps/games, especially which r bigger in size..what I believe is the more you keep the Phone memory free, the more faster your phone will be..

Thats a better option..buy a 32GB memory card & move all the stuffs like movies, music, photos, docs etc etc etc to it..use 2GB+11GB (in built memory) only for apps, games & their data..
Even 64GB card works on our Note, as per the below thread:

However, i moved all apps that are movable, i have no pics, videos, music or whatsoever . Yet, the internal storage gets full very fast to extend that i can't update apps anymore

Its really simple ,1st you flash this recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=18061 , then you https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762635999029 install this trought this new installed recovery , and you now have 6gb memory for installing apps, and 7gb on sdcard0
data=6gb (means +4gb for apps)
sdcard0=~7gb (means -4gb from the stock size)

[Q] Internal Memory

Hello.
My girlfriend's s5830i is always givin her the low memory storage error.
She has got Mindcr ROM, rooted, with apptoSD, and every app in the SD.
She hasnt got many apps, only over 10 (installed by herself). I have moved all contacts to her google acount, and I have deleted all SMS.
Can I made a partition in the SD for get more internal memory or something like that? I have heard that with ROM Manager app I will break the phone.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks you.
Go into the cwm recovery then go to advanced. Adter that select parition sdcard. Then select the size and wait until it's ready. Then search in the development section for cronmod script and install it through cwm. It will move everything of your apps directly in the sdcard so you have just 1 - 10 mb use in internal memory.

Maybe some partition that makes the phone believe that it has got more rom or whatever. What do you have? When you install an app in the SD it takes some internal memory too...

LOL! Nothing wrong with the keyboard buddy . Just not typing Xtra letters as one can easily pronounce the words. Anyway, used to typing in short to save time.
