This is a CWM-Based Recovery 6.0.3.2 for Xperia Tablet Z​
Credits and special thanks to Koush and everyone else involved in Cyanogenmod project!​

This Recovery is built from CWM 6.0.3.2 sources! There have been some changes made to get this working on stock kernel of Xperia
I didnt have this device with me so all testing was done remotely on users devices...
this would not have been possible without the device sources by FreeXperia Team! thank you guys for your commitment to development of Xperia devices and CONGRATULATIONS for getting CM10.1 booting on this device so fast! awesome devs!
tested on SGP321 (WiFi + LTE version) & on SGP311 (WiFi only) version!
please have the stock FTF, for UR device number, at hand before testing this!
[ WARNING ]
DO NOT FLASH THE SGP321 KERNEL ON SGP31x AND VICE VERSA, DEVICE WILL NOT BOOT!

[ Requirements ]
Bootloader unlocked
working fastboot
SGP321 - STOCK ROM FW: 10.1.1.A.1.253 or ROMS BASED ON THAT FIRMWARE
SGP311/SGP312 - STOCK ROM FW: 10.1.C.0.344 or ROMS BASED ON THAT FIRMWARE
[ features ]
standard CWM recovery 6.0.3.2!
recovery now supports internal storage!
internal storage (datamedia) mounted to /sdcard while external card is mounted as /external_sd
you can now flash files from internal storage
you can take backups onto the internal storage (might not be compatible with CM10.1)
TIP: if u are experiencing very slow backup in CWM do this

THIS RECOVERY IS STILL IN TESTING... MAKE SURE THAT U HAVE UR COMPLETE DATA BACKED-UP (INCLUDING INTERNAL STORAGE/SDCARD DATA)
THIS IS MENT ONLY FOR STOCK ROM FIRMWARE or ROMS BASED ON THAT FIRMWARE...

do not use this for flashing CM10.1 (u will need to use the CM kernel for that)
[ how to flash this ]
download the advanced stock kernel (contains recovery)
reboot device into fastboot mode

adb reboot bootloader
now flash the recovery using

fastboot flash boot kernel.img
[where kernel.img is the name of the file image u downloaded]
thats it!
[ how to enter recovery ]
when you see the Sony logo and the LED light turns pink/amber/orange keep tapping/pressing VOLUME UP key

It does NOT work with the Wifi-only version. To recover you phone, just flash your system dump on it.

can only work for unlocked BL? any CWM can work for locked BL?

I RECOMMEND THAT YOU WIPE DATA WHILE IN RECOVERY!
thats it now reboot device
at first boot device the NFC firmware will get updated wait for process to be completed
after a few reboots the ROM should stabilize!

You said in the other topic to have a .307 kernel with recovery! But since you already release this can i flash the kernel inside with fastboot after unlocking my bootloader and enter directly to recovery and flash the Rom?
Can I do this starting from an old .350 Rom with root and them unlocking the bootloader so I could flash your kernel?

UPDATE:
Just flashed a few minutes ago and everything seems fine so far.
Camera launches very quickly from lock screen. Still slight delay launching from app drawer.
ROM seems extremely smooth thus far, no graphical glitches etc.
Too soon for Wi-Fi or battery life.
Quick Settings is nice, (up to 10 customisable panels similar to Niobac's mod)

is it possible with 4.2.2 to move additional app data (/internalSD/Android/data and /internalSD/Android/odd) to external SD Card??? this is the only major issue to be restricted to the limited 12GB internal Memory for ALL Application data...
It would be awesome if it is movable now without root

Bravia Engine is overrated.
DLing right now...using mirror 2. Getting low speeds on all mirrors :x 120 kb/s on a 100 mbit/s connection

is there a way to restore the TA partition when u didnt backup your TA partition when u first unlock ur bootloader?

Stock Kernel with recovery!
@sj8023ld was kind enough to post kernel with recovery for the 4.3 leak!
[ instructions for flashing kernel ]
download kernel from link given below
save kernel in folder containing fastboot
reboot device into fastboot mode
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
flash kernel to boot partition via fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash boot kernel.elf
reboot from fastboot
Code:
fastboot reboot
device should now start booting
thats it!
[ how to enter recovery ]
when you see the Sony bootlogo, the BLUE LED will light up & the device will have a short vibration
keep TAPPING the VOLUME UP key to enter CWM recovery
[ how to fix root ]
once you have done the above instructions
download the latest SuperSU update.zip from: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
save it on sdcard of device
reboot into recovery
flash the supersu update.zip
reboot from recovery into OS
root should now be fixed!

99,9% sure you will get bootloop. Since you can not flash the kernel you will be trying to boot 4.3 with a 4.1 kernel. But hey, you can always try if you really want to

Thanks for this, DooMLoRD! Although I'm on AOSP-based ROMS since day one I got my phone, it's nice to see things like this.
I have a question: I saw in the screenshot that there's a new baseband version in the 4.3 ROM. Is it possible to flash only the baseband in order to update mine?
I saw that this is a flashable .zip. Maybe if I flash this zip over my OmniROM build and then restore a recent TWRP backup I have?

unlocked bootloader
previously on stock .101 JB (4.3) ROM or roms based on that [since some components of THIS rom contain files from those firmwares]
supplied ROM
any existing kernel with recovery
OR
just extract the boot.img (contains inbuilt recovery) from the ROM i have uploaded and flash it using fastboot
[ how to install ]
download the ROM and save it on SDCARD
reboot device into recovery
flash the ROMs update.zip (this will take some time)
I RECOMMEND THAT YOU WIPE /cache WHILE IN RECOVERY!
thats it now reboot device
at first boot device the NFC firmware will get updated wait for process to be completed
after a few reboots the ROM should stabilize!

[ hot tip to reduce LAG!!! ]
Go to Developer Optioms in Settings menu (if this option isnot visible go to About Phone and keep tapping ~7 times on the Build Number, this will unlock Developer Options)
Disable all animations and select Force GPU render (check attached screenshot for reference)
Restart phone
The interface will become a lot smoother now!

You will soft brick your device. The custom kernel needs an unlocked bootloader.

thats really unfortunate!
depending on your carrier you should be getting this update by end of May/mid June...

instead of getting every thing copied from my external sd card to pc , can i just remove the sd card and then flash rom
and u said to backup internal , are u sure when flashing it will wipe my internal ??
i think this have to be posted to xda portal

well when i tested i didnt even backup anything and it worked without wiping /data partition...
though i would highly recommend backing up your existing ROM on EXTERNAL SDCARD...

P.S Backup of current ROM is for *******! Google Backup saves the Contacts, and all eles is unimportant xD

little warning guys: You must do a full wipe if you planning to go back to 4.3 ROMs So do backups before flashing this
Quick Feedback on ROM:
As DoomLords mentioned it's bit laggy specially when you pulling down status bar drop down menu.
Nothing really special compares to custom ROM such as eXistenZ which already implemented most of the UI changes. But if you coming from a stock ROM you will notice the changes.
Camera quality in superio auto in low light still looks the same.

is this laggy as hell like when playing an online game with ping = 2000 ms
or it can be lived with ?

Running this right now on my Xperia Z UK Generic with no problems apart from a bit of flickering just before the 'Xperia' logo on boot. The rom itself seems to run smoothly! It has working 4.4 transparency on Nova Launcher which did not work on 4.3 but did on 4.2 and many other 4.3 bugs have been patched...its looking really promising

finally I have got it! full root on Z2!
this would not be possible without the awesome work of the developer community! so many devs involved! that why i am calling it Community RootKit!
since this toolkit was initially ment for taking TA backup i have kept that functionality and full credits to original authors!

just download the file, extract it completely using winzip/winrar

@DooMLoRD I tried using your v4 tool to backup the TA partition the other day and the service menu failed to crash. I tried running v4 again and I get this message when trying to push the exploit across:

Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT]
Cleanup failed and I suspect it is because it never installed it.
I tried again after killing adb and powering my phone down and starting it again and now I get this error:

Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UID_CHANGED]
As per your post in the exploit thread, I ran the uninstall command and recieved this error:

adb uninstall com.peniscorp.bobsgamecontrols
Failure
Can I just run your new root exploit or will it fail? If it fails how do I fix the above problem?

please start with clean ROM...
do a backup of ur apps/data using inbuilt sony backup & restore app.. SAVE IT TO EXTERNAL SDCARD!!!
then start with clean ROM install...

My final question (I am new to Sony, so sorry for bugging you) would a factory reset from Backup & Restore menu be a clean ROM install?

try to either restart and/or update normal repeatedly. It worked for me that way.

You can try first that one and if that doesn't help, you need to flash the stock ftf for your phone (with the old firmware).

Hmm This tool can't root my Z2 with firm. version .55. I checked USB debuging and uknown sources then strated the bat file but nothing! Where do mistake?
