Sorry to ask this question here but it didnt feel right to make a new thread for it, With CM on sony devices what sort of functionality do we loose? im coming from sgs2 so my experiance was that the camera and audio wasnt as good as a stock rom. I couldnt find any details on this on the freexperia site, if this is answered somewhere could you point me in the right direction
Thanks and sorry for the noob question in a dev section.

Some features wont be as good because of the OEM's not giving the developer community with the latest source codes and drivers..ROM development will be faster and the overall quality of the ROM will be great if they provide the latest updates..Blame samsung for the bad experience in custom ROM's.. I guess with Sony, that is not the case.they have been very good with the developer community and also were the OEM of the year!!

Very very cool!!
Read some tests of the device, is screen quality or camera quality improved by CM10.1?
What are the main advanteges compared to stock?

They're just pre-production codenames, they stand for pretty much nothing
The whole 2011 MDPI line had fruit names (mango, coconut, etc), the 2012 line was a bunch of plants (mint, lotus, etc).

Also, thank you for developing for ZR. So far I've been surprising happy with rooted stock 4.2 but can always use some customisation. With development on the i9000 you could really see differences in performance but for a quad-core phone such as my new ZR it's more the CM features that you miss.
Look forward to trying this out. Cheers.

No bug here so far. I am using it everyday.
Main Used apps every day:
*Dolphin Browser
*Doubletwist (in car with bluetooth)
*Tunein radio (you have to close the app manualy to avoid battery drain, but its due to the app not to the ROM)
*Outlook
*Alarm clock (Every morning)
*Hangouts
*Phone !
Since fxp249 i have uninstalled Google+ and facebook to avoid battery drain (should try with last version but i am not found of social network anyway).
Finaly battery drain is similar to stock ROM for me.
Charging time is a little bit longer than with stock. If you are charging the night like me its not an issue at all.
Bluetooth : OK
Wifi (wpa2) : OK
3g H+ : higher speed than stock! (France / Virgin)
GPS : OK
Give it a try switching between apps is really buttersmooth compared to stock.
Thanks to fxp and all the team for their work.

thanks to all who made this possible supporting us
contributing with code, donations or even trusting us
thanks to SONY that made all this possible !
Nice to read that there are Developers for this device.
just a few questions... i've read that sony opens kernels, blobs etc for the recent phones - i never found those for the z3tc ? did i miss that? or could the sources of the different devices could be use to achive the cm12 port?
and the other important question... are there any bugs in this build? what works? what does not work?
is there a twrp build for the z3tc?
regards
we have enabled daily builds
if your device is not yet in the list will appear soon (1 day,1 week, 1 month) no ETA please
but you have to remember that is an early alpha build
Doesnt seem an answer for any questions I made.... didnt ask for an ETA either...
well... fine
Thank you for your efforts. Just bought the 32GB wifi tablet and not sure if I want start experiments with custom ROMs etc right out of the box, but would you kindly specify what does work and what doesn't in your build?
Cheers

I think that account is automated, for now at least.
This thread and the OP's posts are exactly the same as in the Xperia Z1 forum.
Hopefully once a first build is up and running, we will see some more attention from OP for questions.

I thought there was ROM in OP first, but then I realised that was just some kind of announcement.
And so we wait

Yeah, I had a look on their website but with the build server failure I'm not sure when we'll see a build, automated or not. I've asked Krabappel if he's got anywhere with his CM12 build but I think we'll face the same problems as the other members of the Z3 family; namely that until Sony release something official there will be blobs we're missing.
Merry Christmas!
Sorry, but what is the Z3 Tablet Compact codename: Pegasus or Scorpion? In two different places on FXP site those two names are mentioned.

Scorpion Windy for the Wifi version
Scorpion for the LTE version
This is according to the kernel sources by Sony which they have published on Github.

There is no FXP build but the unofficial CM12 build by Qzerno is working great:
