Case with kickstand? - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Looking for a case with a kickstand for the Galaxy Note 2. Anyone know of such? So far the only one I've been able to turn up here is for the original Galaxy Note.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Verizon sells a case with kickstand for the Note 2.
Only downside is it does not cover the top or bottom of the phone.

Just got this in. It's pretty darn good for only $13. If you don't want the holster the case can be found for cheaper.

there are TONS of cases with kickstands for this phone; check amazon and ebay, and you will see them all

Get this. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=380562657696&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=51001118142
I have the pink one. Looks badass. Kickstand works great.

That's the same one I posted. If you wanted amazon prime shipping its $13, otherwise it's hard to beat $6.

I got this one and the area where you hold the phone is very slippery.

It's a cheap case that will protect your phone, but the quality of inner silicone shell is not that great. It's too stretchy and will pull around the sides, and it gets worth with time especially at the bottom where micro-usb connector is. Also because silicone is soft, buttons will be too easy to press accidentally. But what the heck, for this price - its a workable Seidio Active knock-off with a kickstand that won't make your phone as wobbly in landscape as Active Plus, you can put your finger through the kickstand opening as sort of a flygrip handle.

The best case ever. No extra bulk and feels good to the touch, a hard case but with a soft touch feel, comes with a kickstand too. Bought one for the wife's too. I usually dont use cases but this one is a keeper . Go try it edit- Comes with a belt clip too

Definitely a good deal since you save $20 when you buy this BB PT case which is Seidio Surface rebranded case/holster ($55 for the original one from Seidio)

originally bought 2 cheap case/holsters one of which is the cheap 3 part listed in the OP. First one broke, second(OP) as noted the soft rubber part doesn't fit well and it's too tight in the holster. Finally broke down today ad bought this one from BB. There is no comparison in quality, Everything on this case is worth the money.
For my past phones I've bought the Verizon kickstand holster case combos and I've loved them, but VZW didn't make one for the note2 and the cheap online ripoffs are crap. Spend the money, your Note 2 will thank you.

Got this one for $6 shipped on amazon, cut the volume side out to work with my OEM flip cover.

More pics in the post a pic of your case thread, and mybat jolt thread. Kickstand hinge and latch is a tad flimsy but I haven't had any issues yet, and I dropped my phone 42' from the 3rd floor roof of a house, landed face down on gnarly concrete and not a scratch. Luckily the flip cover flipped closed or the uneven concrete probably would have been able to make contact with the glass, which would have been a disaster.
I like to break stuff!

You guys should check out a full review of Seidio CONVERT combo I just posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2177450
It essentially Seidio SURFACE/BB Platinum with an extra layer of protection on top of it. Turn your original SURFACE into a new rugged case. But as a side comment, Surface is PITA to take off the phone lol!!!

Ebay case arrived today!!!!!!

Well I only had to swallow my pride for about a day because my new ebay case arrived today after only having ordering it about a day and a half ago so off goes pink and grey and on come white on white. I really wanted a white case since i opted gor the white Note 2 it just didnt seem right to put any other case on it. So here are a few pics. To me I would compair it to a siedio since it is a two piece case consisting of a silica rubber case and a plastic outer shell. The case also has a built in stand for watching movies as well as a holster whose belt clip doubles as a stand as well.
I tried to put the Note 2 with the pink and grey body glove case on it in the holster but it was too loose and would not stay so that lead me to believe that this combo in thick but not by much which equals more protection to me.
The case and holster were only about $12 bucks shipped and it is an unbranded unit but better built then some of the units I have seen that people have purchased off ebay.
I am happy with the case, I may or may not purchase a "Big Name Brand" case in holster in the future but only if it comes in white.

I just got this case in black, it's really very nice. I like that it covers all the buttons and the ports, it really provides some great protection. Having two options for stands is nice too.
Thanks for posting this, I just ordered one myself. I had a few questions if you don't mind. How does the overall fit of the case, is it easy to put on and take back off? How much thicker does it actually make the phone? Does it attract lint/dust when it's in your pocket, or is it too big to carry around in your pocket.
Link to ebay please??

.i ordered a case that had a similar belt clip for my GS2 and i broke the clip...TWICE
please comment on whether or not the belt clip seems secure (if it will snap off easily or not)...both times i broke it i barely even touched it
with a phone this large i can see it getting caught somewhere or banging into something
also...does the phone fit properly in the holster (when the screen is facing out) so that you can actually use the kickstand feature? not the kickstand that is connected to the case...im asking about the kickstand that is connected to the belt holster... the one i bought for my GS2 didnt...it only fit when the screen was faced inwards
Thanks for showing this. I bought the white and black one today. I did consider getting the white only. It looks pretty nice. Thanks for sharing.

A lot of questions?..........
To all that wanted a few better pictures then what is posted on ebay your welcome.
Unfortunately my work computer will not allow me to look at online auctions so ebay links are out........maybe....wait one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110973691923
I find the case to be very easy to put on and take of if necessary, fit and finish a very good, as far as lint from pocket, I cannot comment on that one because that why I got a case with a holster.....lol. I dont think it makes the phone that much thicking and its weight is still very minimal.
I have not attempted to put the phone in the holster with the screen out. I had an experience once walking by the ironing board in my bedroom and bumped a metal piece sticking out and a had a wonderful 1 1/2 inch scratch on my beautiful phone but I or someone else will check that out and post it up later.
I do think that the holster clip is the weak link of this whole package. Its is no Otterbox or Ballistic but I have broken my Otterbox holster clip getting into my truck in the past.
I can say that for the cost it is one of the nicest, cheap cases floating around on ebay. I am happy to display my incredibly expensive phablet in it.

the holster clip is my concern...as you said that you believe it is the weakest link as well...like i mentioned i went through 2 of these on my GN2 (not the same exact one, but the holster clip part looks to be exactly the same) which ended up costing me like $30..that is why im strongly considered getting the Seidio Surface combo..but that is gonna cost me $57..i think i might have to pay a higher premium to get better quality this time around
follow up
does the phone fit properly in the holster (when the screen is facing out) so that you can actually use the kickstand feature? not the kickstand that is connected to the case...im asking about the kickstand that is connected to the belt holster...
The answer is...... It does not go into the holster with the screen facing out. I know that seems kind of weird since it has a kickstand feature but it does not slide into the holster that way.

The rubber around the top and bottom is the same as it is on all sides, no extra padding in possible problem areas. The rubber is soft which should give some shock absorbtion as well as bounce if dropped on a hard surface (may I never need to know)
I will try to post a pick of it later.

incipio dual pro?

Anyone have any experience with this line of cases? I've used incipio products in the past and have been pleased with the quality. I'm thinking the protection level offered from the dual pro would be somewhere between a tpu case and the otterbox commuter.
I cant stand cases that have soft silicone covering the bottom where the charging port is

Silver and white shine looks great on pics. I wonder if the silicone atracts lint, I know they have two types of silicone that they use, one that attracts a loooot of lint, dermashot for iphone 5 and the one that doesnt and is tick silicone that they use on ngp line up. going to check with their customer service which one is it as I am Thinking of ordering one as well. Incipio cases are great quality.

The concern I have is that the polycarbonate part is not grippy enough. That seems to be the issue with both the Commuter and Ballistic. I'm still waiting Case Mate's Tough Case for the Note 2. Love the textured back that's very grippy. I do like the look of the Incipio case though!
There's a thread on this case!

I have the incipio dual pro shine and I also have a seidi case with kickstand not the extreme case but the Smooth I also have a Mercury tpu and a cruzerlite of all these I like the seido for the kickstand but I will say ive seen one particular negative review on Amazon for the pink one and she rants about how difficult it is to get on lol she was doing it right it clearly states in the instructions insert the right corners first it is a lil bit weird the very first time to put on but now I take the cover off and on in no time at all I have the white note 2 and I went with the silver case with black rubber and I like this case the most its not the thinnest case but it does fit in and out of the pocket and its def not as large as the otterbox defender or the other one I forgot the name ...So yes its a great case that offers just as much protection as my cruzerlite which gets great reviews and is about as thick maybe a little thicker than the cruzerlite but not by much if your going to spend so much money on a phone wouldn't you want it protected that's why you get a few for looks one for heavier usage when your active and that's what this is im an active guy and I feel secure knowing if I drop this case my phone will def be protected sure the case will have scratches because of the metal finish but this is the best looking slightly a lil more heavy duty case ...I love it at first after one bad review I was real sceptical but now I'm very happy I purchased it .. Its my daily case unless im hanging home watching movies than I use seido for kick stand I will probably get the seido xtreme or the new cruzerlite with kickstand on Amazon for about $15 it looks great and affordable

Sorry for bad grammer its late but I was talking about the incipio dual pro shine I have it in silver and like it very much I feel the most secure and sleek at the same time ... The only down fall is your first time putting on the case but I promise its easier than putting on a speigen or inbishield screen protector which requires alot more patience the first time ...Okay so the only negative I have is the rubber part picks up pocket lint from being in my pocket but its easy to wipe off just don't wear super linty ass jeans lol

Samsung Galaxy Note II DualPro SHINE Case

Hi All,
I just got this case in the interim until I get the otterbox defender. I had it fedex overnight because I usually put my phone in my pocket. It reminds me of the otterbox commuter but not bulky and its in a silver Aluminum finish with a good feel and not a fingerprint magnet. Not slippery. Tactile buttons are responsive without any problems. Very well built dual protection case. Access ports are not covered.

Yeah the problem was that the Otterbox Defender wasn't available but all these other cases were so I had to go thru looking for a case that would fit in my pocket. The cheap tpu cases didn't instill confidence when I put it in my pocket and the Speck Candy shell case was a little better but it's rubber gray material frays when you put it in your pants. It also was more rigid than the tpu cases but I still was worried about it not being rigid enough. This case however is different and the hard shell is really rigid. No worries about putting this in my pants. The hard material is very solid and a very nice feel. Oh well still waiting for the otterbox but this will do until it gets here. Otterbox using Fedex smartpost sucks! I'm praying it gets here and not lost in the usps christmas frazzle. lol.
This one actually looks very nice. Interesting..
Wow, looks nice and sleek.
I see a seller in ebay has it for about $24.95.
Let me know how you like it when the Otterbox comes since this looks much thinner and easier to pocket.
Nice!..the color blends well with the white note 2..any other colors?..found some pink/white on ebay..

Finally stumbled across this case after searching for three days or so for a case for my incoming Note 2.
I just ordered it off ebay and had to cancel my other case I had ordered from Amazon. I figure the extra $8 will be well spent, and I really like the aesthetics of it. No kickstand is a positive for me.

Because the outer shell is very rigid there is very little play to move the silicone lip. You have to force it hard to move. This is not a case for changing batteries. I'm actually scared to pull the phone out of the case. I had the otterbox commuter for my old Galaxy Note i717 and the material for the outer shell of that case is less rigid than this case. my 2 cents.

Thats too bad, I have to do battery pulls occasionally (especially now that the power button long press doesnt reboot) and I usually depend on dual layer being fairly easy to remove. Right now the Aegis case I have feels like its bad to remove and replace frequently - which is good I guess in general just cus its snug, but bad of you need to remove the battery once or twice a day

I'm taking my phone (Galaxy S III albeit) out of the same case on a daily basis (to put into an arm sleeve for a run) and it holds up just fine - pry off one top corner, then another and you have your phone out of it.

Thanks for posting pictures. Mine should be coming in soon. I gather from your asher past that you're suggesting that removing the phone from the case seems pretty difficult?

Just got this case in last night and it is a great case no doubt, beautiful, not bulky, and offering decent protection, but holy cow is it tight and both hard to put on and remove. It's a concern for me, as I need to change the SIM when traveling.
I'm really afraid to damage the case, it is the tightest fit of any case for any device I have ever owned.

looking for a good vertical holster case

hey guys, i am used to keeping my phones clipped to my belt using a vertical holster or case. i'm looking for a really thin, low profile design. the one i have now is bulky and wasn't really designed for the note 2. any suggestions? thanks
EDIT: found this PDair one that looks cool.

only problem is my albanian buddies will have a field day with that name (p'dair)
You can also take a look at Noreve. They are not perfect (usual laziness for speaker/LED cutouts) but have a vertical holster with an optional metal belt clip.
Clip stays in your belt and you just slide the connector on the phone on it, so it doesn't get much fatter. Kinda like the system Nokia used years ago (and it worked great back then).

might sound like a douchey answer but the otterbox defender not only comes with an great case and a sick holster
Just wondering if anybody has tried using any of these holster cases. It seems that none of them are very well reviewed, with the exception of the Seidio SURFACE case. I normally use the rubberized holster shell combo cases for my phones. The Galaxy Note II variety seems to be of poor construction according to the review.

EDIT: There is also this case, of which there appear to be several different sellers listing it as a different item.

i tried the seido active case, and personally i didnt like the case itself because it was to slippery, but the holster itself was top notch. so luckily i was able to get a refund from amazon.
So next i bought the amzer shellster case, as for the case itself, i liked its low profile feel and it's somewhat protection(the top and bottom of the phone is not really protected if you drop the phone just right, but that isn't a problem for me). As for the holster, like the reviews say, its sucks straight out of the box, it just snaps in and out of place, but with some super glue it works great, the manufacturer should have just made it a permanent piece that can not be removed like the seido active case. overall i would recommend the amzer case after securing the holster clip with some super glue.

If super glue is all I need, I am leaning towards the Amzer case. I wonder if the Amzer case would fit the Seidio Active holster.

So what is your personal preference a far as a stout holster and case goes? I don't mind gluing or getting two holster cases so I can use the better half of each.

The Seidio case is by far the best available. An added plus is that many cases fit it. The Seidio Surface, the Amzer, most TPU cases (like the Sprint Body Glove) fit too. I ordered a UAG and hope that fits it too.

Tech 21 D3O Impact Shell Review

Hey Guys,
I have decided to just jump the gun and buy the Tech 21 D3O impact shell from the T-Mobile store. The case ended up be $10 and something cents. I bought it at the store and they gave me a 30% discount for checking into Foursquare otherwise the price of the case is $16.99 not including tax. The case can be purchased online at: http://www.t-mobile.com/accessories/lg-g2-d3o-impact-shell-smoke.html.
I currently own 2 cases including the case I have. I have this case and the Spigen Slim Armour. I love both of the cases but I do prefer this Tech 21 case. Both cases are well built and will definitely survive a fall. I have not dropped the case, but I feel like the technology behind the case will definitely protect it from a fall. I currently have the xtremeguard screen protector on the phone and the case does push the screen protector up, but the lip of the case covers more of the screen than the Spigen case so it doesn't have the problem as often. The case has an awesome feel to it. It has a matte feel and offers more grip that the Spigen. The case is also rounded so it doesn't feel like it is cutting into your hand. I personally bought the smoke version, but there is a purple version available. The case looks awesome with the orange bands going around the circumferance of the phone while the rest of the smoke color of the case allows you to see through the back to see the G2 symbol. I do own the AT&T D800 version and it has the cut out for the 2nd microphone on the back. The case feels like TPU with D3O that surround the phone.
Hopefully this everyone. If you are looking for a new case, IMHO this is a case to consider.
Here are the pictures that I was going to post.

Thanks for the review. I have thought about this case. How would you compare it to a tpu case. Looks like one except for the orange band which seems to be the D30 technology.
Also how thick and bulky is it in comparison to a tpu case.

It honestly feels like a TPU case with the D3O tech like you were saying. I don't own a TPU case for the G2 but I have had TPU cases in the past and this stuff feels a little more flexible but it still maintains its shape when it is on the phone. The case fits nicely and it looks good as well. The case actually doesn't add too much bulk. It keeps the shape of the phone and is slightly thicker than without a case. I feel like it is definitely not as "bulky" as the Spigen case as well. :good:

No problem! I wish I had the info before I bought it but I ended up trying it at the store and liked it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And I definitely use this case more than the Spigen

I also had the Spigen Slim Armour as my first case for the G2. But I also got the Tech 21 case, and although I still like the Slim Armour case, the Tech 21 is better for me as the edges are more rounded and it's a little less bulky than the Slim Armour.
I keep my college ID card in the back of my current phone case, so I like cases that are easy to take on and off. Is this one easy to take on and off?

The case is easy to take off. But you might run into the problem of the case not fitting properly. The case is pretty tight on the phone, so the case might not be happy with you. I can try it out and see if I can get a picture for you.

Here are the pictures. The case is a little funky after the id is put in. It is definitely not meant to be there but it could potentially work. I put my school id and it is the side and thickness of a credit card. Hopefully this and the pictures help.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. Could you tell me how easy it is to take the card in and out of the case? Does the case come off easily without being dangerously loose?

I would say that the case is a little harder to take off. The card is also pretty snug in there. The case also barely hangs on too. The case definitely adds space between the case and phone.

I wish that they sold these somewhere other than T-Mobile.

Ya. I know what you mean. I drove 30 mins to get mine. But I don't use it too often because it pushes my screen protector up. But I still use it every once in a while.

At least you had the option. If you're not in the States or close to the border, good luck. I wish there was a way to get one.
