Boot loop when I try install IZS - LG Optimus Black

I was on Mackay rom and before that I was on IZS. But when I tried to flash IZS I got stuck in a boot loop, the phone just hangs on the LG logo and is unresponsive. Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix it?

Which version you installed? You need to install the version 0 first before flashing the update packages

and also check if the file download was complete!

I use the same version 0 file I had used the first time to install it. The firt time I installed I did v0 and then v0.1 and later v0.2 and then v0.4. Then I decided to try Mackay as I really want Jelly Bean, but the stability, battery life and camera on IZS is just great and that's why I wanted to go back.
Anyway, so my phone got stuck in a bootloop and the only way I could recover it was to use smart flash and flash my old v20e, then I did a full wipe and then tried IZS but got same boot loop. I then did the whole process again with smartflash and v20e and tried JellyBam v4 and Mackay version 2.6.3 and they worked fine. So not sure IZS won't work. Mackay is def not the worst rom to be stuck on, in fact if it had a better camera and not the sd card issues of cm10.1 then it would be just as good in my opinion.
So any ideas? Thanks in advance

Try to use pre-izs package

As RomWiz said if you use Smartflash anyway use the PRE_IZS_IMAGE (do it like Huexxx explaind in 'case C') and next time you might know why it sometimes is very good to have a nandroid. If you had done that as you still where on IZS before you tryed Mackay you probably could have restored that nandroid much easyer.

Thanks, I will try the PRE IZS image. The funny thing is I did make a nandroid backup before changing to Mackay, but when I tried to restore it, the MD5sum didn't match for some reason. Any idea why that would be?
Anyway thanks guys you have been super helpful and friendly too

It can happen if you rename the nandroid. The name is part of the MD5sum and some programs that help you with reorg your backups should change that, but I had it already that they mess up. Or some backups are dammaged anyway. If you make the backup in CWM directly the changes that it's not OK are slimmer as when you make it with the online nandroid backup app, but both happend to me already. I think in some CWM you can turn the MD5 check off.
I tend to make a backup nearly every week, so if one is bad it might not be so bad. I copy the backups every 3-4 weeks to my PC that I can delete the older ones on my SD card and after 3-4 month I delete them on my PC. Hey hey I make more backups on my phone than on my PC.

Good idea, I think that is a great plan. Thanks

Just to let you know I did option C as Huexxx says, using the PRE IZS and smart flash, but still got same boot loop. Weird that it didn't work hey. Anyway I suppose I will just have to hope that Mackay can improve the camera. Thanks again for your help:fingers-crossed:

I just saw that if you downgrade Zeus 7.06 to 7.0 you need to flash a boot loop fixer Heuxxx's site. Could that Bea similar problem for me coming from 4.2.2 Mackay ROM back to IZS

Just flash a stock v20, do a factory reset from hidden menu and it should work out just fine then try to flash izs again.

I agree... Its not possible to restore stock rom on custom rom (because of ext partiiton). Though backup is possible through latest CWM recovery...

Help!! Boot loop stuck!

On, I flashed overcome, and it gave me a new recovery. I then restored my stock ROM backup. It got stuck in a boot loop
Now I can't boot to recovery!! Help!!
I can get to download now, but how can I get to recovery? Please please help!!

Get the overcome kernel in .tar format, flash it via odin. You should get a recovery mode.
Or find a CWM in the dev section flashable from odin or heimdell.

I love you man. seriously. Your effort is really really really appreciated. I can't express it in words. Thanks a lot man, you're a legend!
So will this definitely fix my problem? So, flashing the kernel should also give me the recovery right? so from there, I press volume up and power, and will that give me the overcome recovery?
then do i just restore my overcome backup, and reboot, will everything be wokring as it should?
Thanks a lot once again man, you have really saved my pants, I feared the worse for my tab!
Btw, when I was on overcome, I never managed to nandroid restore.
Not bootloop, just the result force closes. And I had to wipe data and restore from TB.
Edit: kernel download fine from here.
Have you heard of the anonymouse site?
Sometimes you can use that to proxy.

Thanks! But once I have the Overcome recovery back, will my overcome backup restore? Will that work and be possible?
So once i flash the kernel, can i access the recovery by volume up and power? Can you confirm this please mate? Cause at the moment, pressing it does nothing, but i guess it is because i have no recovery installed, am i right?
cheers

Ok. try this.
If you were in overcome ROM, if you are on the SAMSUNG bootloop and get into download, you should get into recovery by flashing the overcome kernel.
if not we'll try something else.

That is strange but since I wasn't in overcome rom for long I trust you with it
If that is the case, then you may need to restock or reinstall overcome kernel.

Funny that you asked. I just bookmarked Priyana's ICS install instruction.
There is no official ICS for our tab and will never be. There is a value-pack update coming, a gingerbread with some ICS taste.
However, there are several unofficial ICS roms around. CM9 and AOKP-SGT7 being the most stable ones (although many people still have small problems with some stabilities and inconcistancies). am on AOKP myself - for the past 3 months - and happy with it.
For AOKP install instruction, refer to this

you are halfway done through installing AOKP, btw.

Woo hoo, brilliant, I might try to install later on when I'm familiar with overcome.
Having said that, overcome was working brilliantly for me, but this morning, my device rebooted 3 time! After that I got random force closes, and now the apps won't load.
Is this due to the kernel being undervolted? Which app can I use to overvolt? SetCPU only seems to let me undervolt, not overvolt... Any suggestions mate?

Probably more like factory reset wipe needed.. if not worse, the problem priyana told you about earlier. On how restoring from an overcome back up may give you force closes on apps.

It was funny that not many people mentioned it in Overcome.
I think it is the CWM in Overcome Kernel that is the problem.
You can try RedPill 2.0.1 kernel.
In my experience the battery drain was better than Overcome, it works with Overcome ROM.
But I think it could be the nandroid backup that is the issue, meaning Redpill recovery likely won't help with backup that was taken using Overcome recovery.

[Q] BOOTLOOP on Nandroid Backup. Prev. on PA CM9

Hey guys. I was using the Stock firmware 2.3.4 so i thought of spicing things up. I installed PA for SU-660 (mine is the SU-660).
It flashed successfully but it had some bugs
Anyway I did a NANDROID BACKUP which I had made. It restores completely but it doesn't boots up. Brings me the LG Logo (with the PITCH BLACK BACKGROUND) and then turns off and back at it again infinitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What did I do wrong?
I wiped the Data/Cache/Dalvik Cache etc before and after doing the backup
Please tell me a fix for this. Thank You!

I don't think the NanDroid Backup is broken. As I have restored my data like 2 or 3 times from that same file and the other 1 time before (I have 2 backups).
I think the problem is with the "Downgrading" procedure. Its strange as I have looked around I haven't seen any case like that...
Btw I can reflash the PA ROM for SU660 though. And I think I can flash between the ICS ROMs.
So a Simple Solution at this point will be:- Do u know any STABLE ICS Custom ROM for the SU660?
Thanks

Yeah very weird. Happened to me too.
Solved it by itself when I did a nandroid backup, then did wipes and flashed another rom. Then I came back to the nandroid and the problem was gone.
Flash another ROM but wipe Data,Cache,Dalvik Cache and System.Basically a FULL Wipe.Be careful after wiping System do not reboot if you have not flash a ROM.If not you will brick.Report after trying

This seems to be hardware issue. Try this: do some heavy gaming do the bavk of the phone gets hot then connect to charger and you will get charging animation. Also when connected to PC connection brakes and reconnects by itself, and sometimes it does not report usb connection at all right?
