speaker dock - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Hi Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldnt find it. Can anyone recomend a good speaker dock or failing that a good bluetooth speaker bar for our beloved note 2 . I'm not sure if the note 2 supports music out via the usb port, I think it does. Many thanks in advance

I use a wired ihome speaker but I got my mother a bt jbl speaker. http://www.jbl.com/estore/jbl/us/pr...IP&srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=31-85253664-2

+1 for the jbl. Went to bestbuy an played with the bt speakers there an jbl sounded the best. Loudest clearest an with best punch.

I've been looking at the grace matchstick speaker dock as it's a dock and can charge as well but I can't seem to find anyone who sells it in the uk

Has anyone tried this Samsung/I dock converter? It would certainly give more options if its fully functional

I like it a lot - it sounds great and charges my phone. The only thing I don't like about it is that the Bluetooth goes into standby after about 20 min. of no music and you have to hit the on button on it to start it up (I wish It would just be on all the time)
But walking over and hitting power button isn't a big deal - It only times out when there isn't any music playing for 20 min.

My cablejive samdock arrived today and I've got to say im impressed. It works on every idock ive tried it on and even charges the phone too. Would highly recommend it.

Hi
I'm thinking about creating something along the lines of Grace Digital GDI GSD8200 - in my option would be - (Bose sounddock + cablejive /samDock/ + iGRIP Universal Micro USB Charging Dock ) - mounted on the top of my Bose*
My question is - if micro usb plug form samDock will work with the iGRIP charging dock ? (charging and sound signal)or with any charging dock with micro usb ? How do you think?

Auxiliary Bluetooth Car port

Anyone know of someway to use Bluetooth in any car stereo by the use of adding a Bluetooth receiver or something to the auxilliary port? I've messed my up my port on my phone before and I don't wanna do it again with my refurb . I listen to a lot of music...
You could plug an FM transmitter into the headphone socket and tune the car radio to it if that's any help, those things are very cheap these days and you can get them integrated into car chargers..

Love the idea but my radio is broken lol
Belkin makes a product for this. Two of them in fact. Look it up on belkins website under the iPhone in car section.

If you're willing to replace your head unit, search these forums for mention of the JVC KD-X50BT. Its a nice Bluetooth receiving head unit that apparently has some pretty decent sound. Reasonably priced, too! I plan on picking one up soon to use with my nexus.

The belkin, if its the cheap one we're both talking about, apparently has awful sound quality. Maybe the second of the two is better.

I remember looking on ebay and seeing what looked like a bluetooth box thing that connected through the aux port.
ie this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/iKross-Bluet...ltDomain_0&hash=item51a218fae1#ht_2983wt_1032
For a simpler idea, cant one just use a male to male cable to connect it?
i just bought this and recieved it today..
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00727FE5U/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00
its great, no loss in sound quality, easy charging and easy pairing, small with short cord, comes with an adapter so you can also connect it to stereos/tvs/etc.., also has good BT range.

Oh thanks this is exactly what I was looking for! Can you easily switch the chord out with a longer one?
Do an ebay search for "bluetooth receiver", you'll find all kinds of devices. As for how well they work, well, let us know.
You can try the flexsmart x2. It has a line out and line in jack. It is charger and Bluetooth as well. If you plug the line out to the head auxiliary jack then hook the device up through Bluetooth, you won't have to keep unplugging and plugging in. It could potentially work through Bluetooth.
I would try it, bit my car radio doesn't have an auxiliary jack though. Ill see If I can figure out a way to test it and report back.

They have a bluetooth 2.0 a2dp on deal extreme, it gives pretty decent sound and is only 13$, only downside is you have to wait for like a month for it to get here. I can post links yet as I havent hit 10 posts lol, but the sku is 8422 and its on Deal Xtreme. Happy hunting
I use this one in my truck. It did not come with bluetooth and I plug this in my aux to listen to music from the n7 or phone. It works well and pairs very easy.Battery last around 12 hours during use and charges in about 2.

Im using the HTC Stereo Clip. Awesome device. A little pricey but I think worth it because it does sound like it's directly plugged into the device.

I use the Stereo Clip as well. I've found that battery life on it sucks, so to remedy that I have it constantly plugged into a car charger. This works for me because both my AUX port and a charging port are inside my center console, so they are both hidden from view. Otherwise, you have to recharge it every 2 days or so.

How long do you have it connected? What's your bt device play time? I guess I don't use the clip enough in a shot to really compare. But I have been happy with it and I too, have it constantly plugged into my car charger.
I like some of these that I see here. The GoGroove has pretty decent reviews but can it charge while I use it in my car? Anything that I won't have to take out of my car to charge and has pretty decent audio quality will do. Also if it sleeps on its own when a Bluetooth device isn't connected to it. Really just needs to not be so much of a hassle to use and be reliable.

Car dock with audio

Hello there.
I'm getting a n7105 and I'm searching for a car dock able to take out audio for USB port and send it to a jack in order to connect it to the car hifi.
Does this exist for Note 2?
Thanks and best regards
The iBolt xprodock finally comes with the cable you're talking about.

Thank you so much for information.
Do you know if our can route calls through jack, too?
I'm not sure, I don't have the dock myself.
You can ask in the thread about the dock though, a few people have received their cables and should be able to answer your questions.
I have the dock with cable the audio works

You can use the iBOLT cable which will do audio out with every 4.1.x or 4.2.x ROM/kernel available or you can get a cheap "Chinese" eBay cable which will work on 4.1.x with Perseus, Trinity, or Devil kernels. Maybe more support old school car mode, but these 3 do for sure and stock does not.

Our phones are pretty picky when it comes to which adapter they work with. I've tested a couple actually and I can vouch for the one made by analogix. I would post a direct link to the amazon listing, but as a new user I need to rack up 10 posts...
But if you search "SlimPort HDMI Adapter - Connect MyDP enabled mobile devices to any TV" it'll come up as $29 Prime.
This adapter, while expensive, works very well and has not cut out on me during hours of straight use. It has a charging port to provide power to the phone while in use, but i should tell you that while i had this connected my phone still discharged very slowly. Maybe 1% every 5-10 minutes. But that's with wi-fi, blutooth connected to a keyboard and mouse, and an aux cable hooked up to my speakers. So... not bad.
I got this one:
http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/161112913690?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Works great. With Wifi & BT on, battery got discharged about 4%. Not too bad considering that even the screen remains on.
The "slow charging" message is always there.
Anyone knows how to turn the screen off while connected to a big screen?
EDIT:
Oh cool.. found an app which does that!

I've yet to see if it works on Slimport, but I don't think it'll be a problem..

I've tried this trick before on an official Samsung dock and official Samsung MHL adapter on an S4.
Didn't work.
MHL/Slimport utilizes alot more pins for it to work and I strongly doubt the charging dock will carry all the signals. Most probably it just carries the 2 power lines over.

I tested the slimport; worked with a few HDTVs but there is a 1080p Samsung TV made a few years ago that doesn't work with it. Could be HDMI port compatibility problem. I was able to get the same TV display the screen of a moto photon phone just using a microHDMI to HDMI cable.
Anyone tried miracast with 1080p video?

I'm using the Cable Matters slimport adapter. It's a little glitchy.
It needs to be disconnected and re-connected once in a while, but more importantly you cannot connect the power or it cuts out completely. The G2 battery holds out ok and charges quickly so I'm just rolling with it but you may want to try another one before going to this.
My adapter only displays the camera in portrait mode. Is that a problem for anyone else or just my adapter?
Sorry to bump this thread after a while, but I was wondering the same thing. What is the best value for money Slimport on the market?
Just bought this one from monoprice

Reviews say it works well with the G2
& it's $11.50 during Black Friday weekend!!!

Car Dock Audio Output Option (ibolt)

Hi all, I am trying to use my ibolt car dock with my Note 4 (not rooted) but I cant seem to find the option to route the audio music (not calls) through the car speakers via usb. There used to be an option on the Note 2 and 3 that changed the audio from the phone speakers to the usb. This setting was in the Accessories menu I believe but I dont see it in the note 4. Has anyone else tried using this dock with the Note 4? Perhaps there is a tasker function that can be used? Ideas?
On my S3 it is under Accessories and says Audio Output Mode. I plan on buying a Note 4 tomorrow and would also like to use my car dock.

That's what mine looks like.
From what I've read it looks like Samsung removed it just like in the S5. Hope it can somehow be added back in a custom rom/kernel.
Well that blows, I guess I'll have to use bluetooth for now.
Aww man, that sucks - why would they do that?
Just bought and active iBolt dock for my Note 4 only to now discover I can't use the active function.
Yeah this sucks. Anyone pick a good bluetooth replacement for acar with only AUX in?
Next mod for my truck will be a Bluetooth radio. I'm considering the AppRadio. Anyone have any experience with the new one?

Earphone adapter with controls?

I'm looking to purchase some Sennheiser earphones for my S7 but don't want to limit myself to the ones with the phone control (play/pause/volume buttons) on them.
Does anyone know where (i'm in the UK) I can get an adapter with just the controls in that I can then plug any earphones into? Preferably Amazon. I've had a look but cannot find any.
Dunno about wired but I got one of these MPOW thingies so that I could listen to music off my phone when exercising, using cheap replacable headphones. I put the MPOW in a ziplock baggie to protect it from sweat and everything works very well.
I've used the MPOW for up to 5 hours continuously and not run the battery dead, no clue how long it really lasts.

What about this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00X7W89UG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1457706226&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=samsung+bluetooth+adapter&dpPl=1&dpID=41T-5KLkuxL&ref=plSrch
