Great,bro..I wish I could help. I just checked my downloaded HDelicious ROM. It's a JB version. I don't have any ICS ROM backups.

I have a phone running on ICS... Do I just use titanium backup to do this?

No dont use titanium nore a backup because they will be in ext4 format try to use your pc to copy and paste your system files

How's your progress going?

I was browsing around the forum a little and I found what appears to be a full ICS system dump.

Hey guys so after days trying to fix the camera I bricked my phone and waiting for replacement now. ICS camera won't work I was able to get it to connect but then it would crash and the device would reboot. We need boot loader unlocked or 4.2.2 I'll be back to give it another try .
LG G2X

How do you brick a phone while on safestrap? I tried doing the same with JB libs and any crashes were solved by a simple hard reboot.
Which libs were you messing with?

That's odd. How'd that brick it?!

Are you positive you bricked it? I find it very unlikely that you could brick your phone in Safestrap.

[Q] Google Now on stock SGH-i957

Has anyone got Google now working on their SGH-i957 running the stock ICS rom? I have it on my phone, a motorola Droid 4 via this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224
which explains how to put google now on your ics device. I found NOTHING in the thread even remotely close to mentioning our device, most likely because we are such a small niche. I am too nervous to try flashing without knowing ahead of time if it will work. Curious if anyone has tried or knows how to get Google now on the device since I believe it was already determined we will never see JellyBean right?
Install or reinstall Google search. Now is part of it. Get it on the play store.

You are correct in your statement that Google Now is part of google search, however that feature is only available if you are running 4.1 or higher (i.e. JellyBean).
My question has to do with hacking it to get it to work on the the sgh-i957 running 4.0(Ice cream Sandwich)

Yep, it doesn't work on ics. You should install a custom rom. Nrvates cm10 works well.

Well i know it doesn't work via a stock ICS rom, but I am trying to see if someone has gotten it working using the hack in the link I provided, or if someone knows if this is an arm6 or arm7 processor or neither.
I don't want to go the custom ROM route. Did that before with nrvates CM10 rom and the power died and i couldn't chsrge it. Had to mail it back to Sammy for repair. Now i have it running stock, rooted, ICS and I love it... But i want google now

You can check the cpu version on settings, about tablet. I don't have mine with me or I'd check it, Pretty sure it's a 7.
It's sounds like I had the same problem with nrvate's as you. That's interesting, I thought it was just a fluke. I too repaired thru Sammy.
If I find some time tonight I might play around with this. I too like the stock ics and now I'm even more concerned with nrvate's.

I see one initial problem. The rom needs to be dodexed. The stock rom won't be. You'll have to be running a custom ics.

It works. I downloaded the offline zip for the arm 7. In recovery, cleared cache and dalvic. Flashed the zip.
Edit: it sort of works. Try it and see if it's good enough.
Edit: the online version works best, offline, not so good

Sweet! Sort of... Lol
Can you be specific about what's not working in each the offline and online versions?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I957 using Tapatalk HD
I won't mess with the off line. It really doesn't work well. The only issue I've had with the online is it doesn't always close. To close out I've had to press on the show more cards, which I know doesn't make sense but it does close it. Other than that it works well and does everything it does in cm10.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
By not closing, do you mean you swipe it away and it comes right back?
Thats a common problem with this hack. Known issue.
I run the offline version daily and other than that issue i dont really have any problems so i was just curious what your specific issues were...
I guess i'll play it safe and go with the online version

As far i can tell, THE OFFLINE VERSION DOESN'T WORK AT ALL
It is not a small bug, or quirky, it simply doesn't work. Don't even waste your time.
So far, no problems on the online version that I can see

Error when flashing gapps

Well I was installing a custom system ui. And I didn't make a ss backup. My bad I know. Well the phone wouldn't boot up past recovery so I deleted the ROM slot and created a new one to reinstall a fresh copy of joker but when flashing the gapps the screen flashes off then goes back to the add zip screen. [HOW-TO] Use Droid Razr HD XT926 roms on Atrix HD ***confirmed***

Greetings from the Razr HD XT925 world. It appears that the Atrix HD is very similar to the Razr HD variants. I wanted to run the XT926 roms on my XT925 phone and was plagued with the same no WiFi and no LTE that you guys run into. I was successful in making everything work and thought you guys might benefit from it.
Check it out here:

Hey guys, just try the instructions from the link I posted first. I'm thinking everything should work the same for the Atrix as it did for the XT925. If the WiFi files I posted don't work then you should be able to use the one from a working Atrix rom.
It has been reported that CM 10 will not work as the file structure is missing the folders that I reference.

same we gotta use the old ics camera libs (for anyone trying to fix it that doesn't know), and I think I'm going to port over "PACman" if no one else does.
The camera is working in the XT925 CM10 version I believe, but not in the 10.1. The CM 10 has bluetooth streaming problems which is why I haven't used it at all yet . I would assume that the working camera on the XT925 would mean it works for you guys?

Sent from my Atrix HD using xda premium
Please?
I know its the internet and all, but some manners wouldn't hurt...
It seems like things are going well here, if this keeps up, we might actually get a PAC-man soon enough...
Now all we'll need is a bootloader unlock and then we're set.
[EDIT] lol, took to long to reply...
So let me get this straight...
PAC-man =
Paranoid's UI coloring + hybrid engine
AOKP's UI customizations + hardware management
and
CM's Themes, DSP, and Lockscreen Guestures?

0 (zero) folder?

I was looking through my files in a file manager app and I came upon a folder called "0" (zero, or maybe the letter o). I opened it and it contained a whole bunch of folders filled with stuff I had from old ROMs I installed. I was just wondering if it is important or not? Can I delete it?

Not sure about that. I would keep it unless someone that knows more says it's fine to delete. I don't think it's used by holoblur, but it may be used by other ROMs you may want to flash later.
I have that in my stock ROM as well. I don't think there is an easy way to get rid of it.

I've noticed that as well on my phone, tested a couple of custom Roms like LiquidSmooth before coming back to HoloBlur. For me it was data files/folders from the stock build, was in a folder called "0" in the root of the internal memory. It's old data that I needed so I moved it back to the root directory and overwritten/merged with whatever new folders that were created (since they were fresh/empty folders anyway) and then I deleted the 0 folder.
It's safe to do so, one of custom Roms that was flashed moved all the internal data to that 0 folder during the install.

What ROM did you come from? Usually CyanogenMod makes directories like that. I am running my own customized version of CM and my sdcard is not "/storage/sdcard" but is really "/storage/legacy/0 (or 1 depending on internal or external sdcard)". If you are sure that it is from an old rom than by all means delete it if you don't want it. (Note: I take no responsibility for lost or damaged files)
