Introduction
For the first release, I was going to cook a ROM which include all mods I think the best for all people. But people's favorite are different, someone like this, someone like that, someone dislike at all... so I decided to improve the ROM to be much customizable as possible. Beside that, smoothness and stability of the ROM are still the first goal which I strive for now and in future.
I hope it will satisfy all Arc users and I'm looking for your feedback to improve it further

- All mods are uninstallable by using AROMA installer. You can use v1.2 to uninstall mod in previous version of TrueSmooth
- Add "Official Notification Bar" in the installer in case you dislike mod at all ^^
- Add cybershot v7.1.2 as an option in the installer (thanks jader)
- Fix 2G/3G toggle in Tab Notification Bar (thanks is0l4ted)
- Choice for camera mod in the installer
- Choice for sound enhancement mod in the installer
- Clean up the installer for more choice but less size
v1.1:
- Change to Cyber-shot mod v6.7.2 to make camera working
v1.0:
- Initial release
Performance:
After installing this ROM with all extra stuffs, depends on the decision of mods in the installer, we'll have at least 175mb of free RAM, and nearly 300mb of free internal storage (screenshot shows nearly 200Mb free RAM when I just use Xperia V Engine). We can run Temple Run 2 smoothly at 806Mhz. Let's try and see how smooth it is compared to JB ROMs, you won't regret ^^
Recommendation:
- Kernel: lupus v9. There's a newer version - lupus v10 but I haven't tried yet, because I'm just satisfied with current setup on my phone. I heard that lupus v10 even give you more free RAM
- Governor/Scheduler: ondemandx/sio
- Extra apps: Link2SD (config Auto-link) and Advanced Task Killer (config Auto Kill level is Crazy and frequency is When screen off). These apps are just essential when you want to install a lot of apps and games
- As my experience, using Xperia V Engine sound mod seem to boost overall system performance. Try and see if you feel like me
- Install ONLY apps you need to use frequently or essential to use because a lot of apps runs their service which slow down your phone.
- Disable startup of apps by any start up manager (I'm using ES Task Manager). You must figure out by yourself which app need to start up to run normally (email, alarm...) or sure to disable such as games (there's no reason to start up games at boot)
Installation Mode Behavior
New Mode: it swipe data and install entire .13 system core and your selected mods.
Change Mode: it clean up old mod and change to new selected one. It's useful when you want to test mod or just like to use bare bone ROM.
Installation instruction:
- Copy ROM setup file to SD card
- Enter CWM and choose the setup file
- Follow instruction in AROMA installer, customize the ROM as you like and click Install. NOTICE: in Extra section, unchecked item means you don't like it to install with this ROM, so it will be removed if it's already existed (in case you re-install the ROM)
Warning
- Delivery report is enabled by default in messaging app, so if it costs money in your country, please uncheck it in option of messaging app
- Make nandroid backup of your current ROM in CWM just in case you like to revert back.

Using the truly Ultimate HD with xperia Z looks on Xperia Arc!!
Installed and using Vengence Kerne 1.32
Everything working ok but problem found ..... I had lost ROOT
Sorted that out using doomlords xperia root script and all ok. Runs smooth and quick with some nice themes included.
One comment - most roms have delivery reports disabled in the messaging app. Only a small thing but it costs me £0.09 every time and I had got out of the habit of checking. Just a small pointer, no biggie.
Everything works as it should otherwise.

Oh, I never notice it costs $ when request delivery report. Actually, I always check it I will add warning in first post

Why didn't I test camera before releasing, just test game performance
I found that latest cyber-shot mod cannot integrate to any ROM, I'll use cyber-shot 6.7.2 instead. Please flash cyber-shot 6.7.2 for quick fix. I've just re-integrated it and camera is working now. I'll upload new version immediately

Nice to see developers haven't abandoned this phone. That's the one reason I've still stuck to it. As long as Android's latest iterations run on the Arc and run smoothly, and as long as there are good ROMs coming through, I see no reason to waste money on getting a "latest" phone. Thank you for the effort and the upload.

I'm using a .13 based ROM and Cybershot 7.1.2 is working. I've tried to flash it yesterday but no way. Btw, has the modified ROM been uploaded? It's very smooth and I want to test it.

I don't know why you mean, Cybershot can't be added to ROM, but I just would like to inform you that it works

Could you add an option "none"? It seems there are some issues in both V6 and V7 tabbed, and no WIFI tether in slide version.

This is my first attempt at a custom rom. This ROM is called
ROOTZ and it is based on kittenlinux's deodexed CM7.2.0 RC1
ROM. I have tested it extensively and I must say it is really
stable and fast - I consistently achieved 1850+ on Antutu

FOUND SOLUTION... apperantlly the US has blocked access to those sites? any one else knew this? had to use a website circumventor to view site.
Installed it with Doomkernal v22..everything is working fine and the UI is snappy...but the volume output from both speaker and headphone is very low..I reckon stock GB music player will be good...:good:
Ps:The status bar icons are very big...a little smaller icons will be good..overall a very good Rom for initial release...:laugh:

Please just read a little. I have spend many times to provide builds and i cannot spend double time to answer same questions again and again especially when they are in Q&A of xda forum

ROM FAQ
FAQ in generall. list will go on in time..
1)Do i need to full wipe coming from another rom ?
Well generally no.First you can do is to take a nandroid backup(backup from recovery),then just wipe
dalvik n cache and proceed to install rom.
Normally inside same api level(ex 4.1.2) there is no need of full wipe.
If for ex next version is 4.1.2 again then you just proceed with only dalvik n cache wipe.
If next version is 4.2.2 then you proceed with a back up file and try to see if you find any problem.
If you experienced problems then is time for full wipe.
2)Full wipe guide.
Backup your important files(both from internal and external storage)
Format your sd card(settings/storage)
Put rom in your external sd card
Reboot to recovery
Take a nandroid backup
Wipe cache partition
Wipe dalvik cache
Wipe data(factory reset)
Go to mounts and storage
Format cache
Format system
Format preload
Format /sdcard (internal)
Format data/media
Install rom
Reboot
3)Is there a way to save apps,settings and progress after full wipe?
Well...yes. There is titanium backup app which i dont trust at all because if there is an error it will come back.
My personal way is to:
Under settings/backup and restore tick two boxes: backup this device to google account and automatic restore.
In google account settings make sure you have tick the option for app data sync.
In scloud there is a sync option which is able to backup your snote,sms and call log.
Make a "sync now" before you start.
After fresh rom install when device boot for first time, after language selection put your wifi code(or not if it is out of security)
In next page there is a samsung account sign in.Ignore it and press skip.
After that there is the gmail account sign in. Sign in and press next.
Ypu ll see a page that inform you if you want to backup this device to google account and if you want to automatic restore it.
Ensure both boxes are checked and press next.
Skipp all other setup like dropbox etc.
Now all your apps and wifi hotspots will start to coming into your device and also your wallpaper.
Have some patience and all will come except your launcher layout.
After that go to settings/accounts and sign in to your samsung account and let it sync too.
Now your call log and sms list and messages will be in your device.
Thats it.
4)A random application stop working or giving me an FC (force colose) . What can i do? (known well working app in others phone)
Well depending on app always the best way is to go to settings/apps/all apps find it
clear its data and cache and reboot.If problem still there reboot into recovery
wipe dalvik n cache.If after all that is there re download rom and start all over.

This is a bug and probably i m responsible for that so you have to gendly report it to me to correct it providing a fix
or in the next rom version.
6)My battery drains a lot? Why?
There is an app in playstore called better battery stats. Its worth every penny.
It will help you and me to solve your problem.
In general an app is responsible for this so you(we together) have to find this app to stop draining.
7)Cant find the app that "is there" . How can i find it?
Check your app drawer. Most times when we are looking for somthing is in front of us and we are unable to see it
If it is a data app it will be in your downloaded apps.If its not there you re either hide it or delete it by mistake.

Also as resault of this non aosp look users that want Jkay framework, have to flash latest jkay update.This is because we cannot include 2 jkay mods
as this will make final zip even bigger.
Also in aroma beaware that if you choose something and go back again once you have to start over from first page otherwise some parts may not installed.This one is from installer.
All those will be solved in next rom update.

this is my opinion at the end about xxella and everything about sudden death at this time based on reports.
sammy have release an update with including bootloader that says sudden death is fixed while not yet confirmed.
We can agree that have fixed exynos bug while we have it too.
Ok till now.
I have receive plenty of emails from ppl ask me my opinion about it or if my rom is safe or even from ppl affected from that.
3 devices till now die with my rom.9 with stock rom and plenty of others mixed with other roms.
there are also other sammy models died.
As far as i can see this have nothing to do with the rom itself or the fw generally and this is true.
So to continue this i start asking several things like date of purchase or region or even time and date to see if there have something to do with solar activity(funny for some but still true,i m a tehnician anyway).
So asking more and more i realize that the only common between died devices was only the bootloader.
From 4.1.2 ota update and later on if you try to root your device you will get an exlamation mark upper left while you not get that before.
The reason is that after 4.1.2 the bootloader was changed during update to this.
All devices at least with the ppl that i spoke to have the recent bootloader in their devices as it comes with the update.i also saw that in many devices inside my store.
So maybe sammy messed up a little with this in its try to record binary count and now repairs that with the new update.maybe bootloader messed up just with the latest fw 's after pol roll out.
So xxella is nothing more than xxell4 with new bootloader and 4-6 more apps.
The attention here is that if you flash official fw you will loose the ability to go back to old bootloader as this is not possible for the moment,
so at the very end of this i m suggesting to download and flash an old bootloader(just be careful) and then flash an official 4.0.4 wiht all 3 files(pda,pit,phone) and root with cf root and then flash custom rom (mine or whatever if you like something else).
You will get rid of the updated bootloader and also from exclamation mark and you will be mind free from the sudden death bug at least till those lines written and from my reports....
If i have further news i will inform you all.
I m stuck searching this, thats why i only answer to specific questions
choice is absolutely yours...

I'm not suggesting that you don't ask questions - just read back a bit, do a search or think a bit before you do.
Now that I've got that off my chest here goes
1. Make a nandroid backup of your current setup! You can restore this if you run into issues. Save it on your external SD card or even keep a copy on your computer. Use the .tar format. If you use the blobs system you will run into issues with media scanner.
2. If you are new to the Rom. ie coming from stock, another ROM, CM10, AOKP etc then the first thing you need to do is a full wipe. If you are unsure of how to do that then I would suggest that you use this tool.

Now before you rush off and wipe everything on your phone BE CAREFUL
DON'T use MEGAWIPE unless you are facing unresolveable problems and need a completely clean phone from which to start from scratch. SUPERWIPE or FACTORY RESET should be sufficient.
DON'T put the ROM zip file on your internal SD (ie internal memory) and then wipe -you will be left without anything to flash! Please, please, please put the ROM on your external sd card
If that all looks too confusing then I would suggest you learn your way around recovery before doing anything

IF you are upgrading from an earlier version of the ROM then it is sufficient to simply wipe Cache and Dalvik cache in recovery. Of course you will already know this because you have done it before. But sometimes in the heat of the moment we all forget
3. Flash the ROM
This ROM is flashed from recovery.
I would highly recommend that you use one of the following recoveries.
a. Philz recovery

Use Philz recovery if you intend to flash themes to the ROM or need to access your sd card from recovery. I would recommend it to noobs as the layout is similar to CWM and having access to your sd card from your computer may come in handy if you get into problems.
TWRP has some advantages over Philz and the user interface is a thing of beauty but you cannot, as yet, mount the sd from recovery.
4. In recovery select install zip from external sd card. Find the ROM Zip. Flash it.
5. If you have got everything right so far you will be presented with the aroma installer.
This is a simple interface that lets you make a number of choices about set up by ticking boxes for what you want.
If it's your first time flashing the ROM don't tick anything. Have a look, become familiar with whats there, but leave everything at default the first time around. You can always go back later and reflash the ROM adding anything you want. Don't worry, you won't lose any of your setup by doing this, as second time around you will only be wiping Cache and Dalvik.
If you have flashed before I would urge you to ignore all the new goodies Sotmax may have provided. Flash it first with your existing setup. make sure everything is working as you would expect. Only once you are satisfied then go back to recovery and reflash adding the goodies you want
That way if issues appear you will have a starting point for both identifying the cause and resolving them.
6. Once the phone has booted don't do anything. Don't even unlock. Have patience. Go and make a cup of coffee. Things are going on in the background. Don't ask me what they are, I'm not knowledgeable enough for that:silly: but I'm pretty sure that things like the Dalvik cache are being rebuilt. After 10 minutes power off using the power button. Reboot and you should be good to go.
7. Flash the latest version of Yank's kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1949904

He has spent a lot of time explaining all the settings. Read! and anything you don't understand just leave at default until you do. He has a number of presets you can use if you are not confident. Do not use Yanks own settings usless you are using Swap.
At the end of the kernel setup make sure that you have selected for the kernel to take care of init.d - don't leave it for the rom to take care of
8.To change any of the ROM or Kernel settings you can simply reflash, remember to wipe Cache and Dalvik
In Yank's kernel installer you can choose to flash configuration only at the end of the installation process in aroma.
To change sound engine settings on the fly install the Boefla application

To change other other kernel settings use, setcpu, system tuner, jrummey's rom toolbox or similar.
9. Problem solving.
Many problem's can be resolved by a simple trip to recovery, wiping the cache and dalvik cache and rebooting.
FC's can often be fixed by fixing permissions in recovery.
Problem apps can sometimes be helped by clearing their cache and data in settings/applications.
Similarily sometimes uninstalling and re installing an app can rectify problems.
The applications Sotmax has provided as extra's can be reinstalled by navigating to data/app folder and tapping on its icon. This sometimes helps if they are playing up.
If you are installing HD Voice you must do a full wipe for it to work. Your network also needs to support it. You only need to do this once as in future ROM installations you will only need to wipe Cache and Dalvik (-:
Dialer and contacts will work perfectly if you keep them in memory by using the home button as opposed to the back button to close them.
Sometimes reinstalling the ROM or the Kernel will solve issues. Please try this if you have tried all the above without success.
If you have tried all of the above feel free to direct questions to some of the other users of this ROM. We are all friendly. You will soon work out who is most likely to help with a particular problem.
Sometimes the only awnser is a full wipe and a fresh start
Unexpected battery drain? All 4 cores firing on max. Check that media scanner is not causing a wakelock. If it is a. Get rid of any nandroid not on .tar format. If that does not work b. Reformat external sd. and if that does not work c. fresh start as above.
There is always a mad rush to download the ROM with new releases. Be patient many of us will provide Mirrors. You will also avoid any early problems.

* About Zelly Cream ROM
As we all know that ICS update from Sony is very laggy and we are not going to have Jelly Bean for our devices I tried to customize the stock ICS ROM to have the latest Jelly Bean features on our devices. I managed all the things in this ROM to have a beautiful UI without sacrificing the speed and battery life. This rom is a stock ICS .431/.587 based custom ROM, for our 2011 HDPI Xperia devices, which is heavily customized to look like the upcoming Xperia Z. The base framework of ROM is highly customized to have an awesome GUI, services of this ROM are supercharged to make it super-fast ROM for gaming and multitasking experience and several tweaks extends the backup of phone. Since this rom looks like Xperia Z (to some extent) and has several Jelly Bean and ICS features and apps, thus I named it as Zelly Cream ROM. Multitasking mode is for those wo love to try and have installed several apps in their device. This mode lets you to switch between several apps in a quick and more responsive way.
Default mode sets the default setting of device.
Also there is a Quick Boost feature which kills some useless background apps and make some more free RAM. You can boost your device either from the app or from a beautiful widget.
Caution: Boosting your device may cause some apps to close unexpectedly. You may see some FCs of apps in Gaming mode. So enable Gaming Mode only when you want to play games.

With new framework, you will have a beautiful UI and a feel of Xperia Z. Dual Lockscreen support (AOSP and Jelly Bean lockscreen)
With Zelly Cream ROM you can switch between JB styled AOSP style lockscreen (large album art) and Jelly Bean lockscreen. This new Jelly Bean lockscreen app is a little bit modded by me to suit my rom. Use my LockScreen Style app from my smart settings menu to switch between these two lockscreens.
Great RAM Management
ROM is highly tweaked to get better RAM usage. Services are supercharged and for better multitasking and Time Killer Killer mod increases free RAM. This rom is suitable for gaming and heavy multitasking. (Temple Run 2 runs very smooth with zero lag, tested by me and will upload a video in few days). With better RAM management you will always get 100-120 mb free ram.
Xperia Z JB themed SystemUI
The new Jelly Bean status bar is themed to look like Xperia Z SystemUI. This new SystemUI has tabs with holo style toggle buttons.
Xperia T Jelly Bean messaging app
The new white themed Jelly Bean messaging app is added in this ROM. This new app has a dual UI. you can send message to a person while visiting incoming app. Goto settings and check "Dual Panel UI".
All new Smart Settings
The latest version of my Smart Settings is ported in this rom. This all new settings has WiFi-Direct port (originally ported by me but it is still a partial port), latest LockScreen Style switcher app and my new Boost My Xperia™ app. With Boost My Xperia™ app you can boost memory to play HD games. Also there is JB easteregg that show the ROM name.
Caution: Use Boost My Xperia™ to boost your phone only when you want to do heavy multitasking or play HD games otherwise it may cause a bit more RAM usages.

Installation instruction for Zelly Cream v2.0 updated ROM
If you are already on Zelly Cream ROM then follow the instructions to install Zelly Cream v2.0 updated ROM otherwise first install the Full ROM following the instructions from the next post and the install the updated ROM otherwise you may get bootloop.
Steps to install Zelly Cream v2.0 updated ROM.
1. Make sure you are on Zelly Cream ROM (otherwise you will get bootloop)
2. Download Zelly Cream v2.0 and copy it to SD card.
3. Reboot into CWM.
4. Wipe cache and wipe dalvic cache (necessary to wipe to adopt changes from new files)
5. Install Zelly Cream v2.0 from SD.
6. Follow the instructions in Aroma to install ROM.
7. After completing installation, just leave "Reboot Device" unchecked and click next.
8. Now reboot your device from CWM.
9. Now when your device will boot with new updates, just leave your phone for atleast 20-30 minutes so that rom can settle down itself.
10. Now when the rom settles down, goto settings->developement-> make sure that "Force GPU rendering" is checked, otherwise check it by yourself. (this is required to completely implement Project Butter)
11. Now reboot you device and you are now ready to play with updated ROM.

Before installing this rom, make sure you have a complete nandroid backup and you have performed all the necessary steps, otherwise you may get bootloop. I will not be responsible for any kind of damage or loss to your phone, do this at your own risk. Read carefully and follow the steps to install the rom.
* Locked BL
1. Reboot to cwm.
2. Wipe data/factory reset.
3. Wipe cache partition.
4. Wipe dalvic cache under advanced menu.
5. Wipe battery stats under advanced menu.
6. Format data under mount and storage menu.
7. Format system under mount and storage menu.
8. Format cache under mount and storage menu.
9. Install zip from sd card.
10. Follow the steps in aroma installer to install the rom.
11. Uncheck "Reboot device" after installation completed and click on next to go back to CWM.
12. Now reboot your phone..
* Unlocked BL
1. First flash stock .587 ftf file for your device to avoid bootloop. (below is the link)
2. Install your desired kernel. (see list of recommended kernels.)

Q- Why ROM size is too high?
A- I added several applications and features so that you can customize the rom at the installation time. Choose the features that you want in your phone and Aroma will install those for you. After installation you will get 70+ mb free space.
Q- I got bootloop when I installed your rom. What should I do now?
A- Read and follow installation steps carefully to avoid bootloop.
Q- I successfully installed the rom but why did it took a long time to boot device?
A- After installing any rom Android settles down the ROM and create various files (cache, dalvic-cache etc) on the device so that apps can run on your device. It is natural and happens with all the ROMs, even with stock rom. I suggest you to leave your phone for 20-30 mints to completely settle down the ROM.
Q- I find less free RAM after first boot. Why?
A- After first boot ROM occupies a big portion of RAM to settle down itself and apps. So after 30-40 minutes of first boot restart your device and you will get a fast and smooth ROM.
Q- What do I need to do heavy multi-tasking and play HD games?
A- You don't need to do anything special, the ROM does all itself. This ROM comes with supercharged services that lets you do heavy multi-tasking. You may notice a bit less free RAM just because of supercharged services but you will not have any lag. Further there is a Time Killer killer mod that automatically kills background apps when they are no longer needed to make some more free RAM.
Q- How can I switch between dual lock screens on my device?
A- By default you are on Jelly Bean lock screen. You can go to settings->Zelly Cream settings and click LockScreen Style™. Click on AOSP style lockscreen and you will have JB styled AOSP lockscreen.
Q- I tried to change my lockscreen to AOSP but I am still on JB lockscreen. What should I do?
A- Goto /system/app from root file manager, find and backup UxpNxtLockScreen.apk to SD card, reboot your device. Now you will have AOSP style lockscreen.Now copy UxpNxtLockScreen.apk from your SD card, paste it to /system/app and set right permissions (rw--r--r). Open LockScreen Style™ from settings and now you can switch between these two lockscreens.
Q- What does Boost My Xperia™ do?
A- This is my exclusive work for my Zelly Cream ROM. It is like a task manager but a bit more than that. Boost My Xperia™ is developed by me to reduce lags, kill unnecessary background apps and make some more free RAM. So if you want to play HD games or feel lag just click on Boost My Xperia™ to boost your device.
Caution: Boost My Xperia™ does system-level tasks, so use it only when you feel lag, want to do heavy multi-tasking or to play HD games. Don't use it all the time otherwise you may notice a bit more RAM usages and thus less free RAM.
Q- When I check ClearPhase™ and go back and come again it is still unchecked. Why?
A- This generally happens of a few devices (not all). So if this happens with you, download and install latest Walkman mod from here and replace SemcMusic.apk, SemcMusicVisualizer.apk, MusicWidget.apk and SoundEnhancement.apk from my rom setup.
Q- When I play any song, sound automatically reduces after 3-5 seconds. Why?
A- Its just because of new SoundEnhancement.apk. Since this JB Walkman is already very loud, follow my recommended settings to have more louder song. First enable kill app by back button mod from settings under developement menu. Now open sound settings, tick XLoud and untick ClearPhase. Now open walkman app and play any song. After 5 secs you may notice reduced sound. Now open sound enhancements and long press back button. You will notice a popup that application killed and louder sound. Now again open sound enhancements and tick clearphase. Now you will have the loudest Walkman ever.
Q- I liked your ROM and your exclusive work very much. How can I support your for further developement?
A- First of all thanks for using my rom. I spent several days to made this rom super fast and butterly smooth with a beautiful user interface without sacrificing the battery life. This hard work is done buy a school going guy. So if you want to support a yound and growing developer then you can buy a cup of coffee for me buy donating a few $ to me. Installation.
- Put Firescape v1.zip insdcard.
- Go to CWM recovery
- Wipe data/facrtory reset,cache and dalvik cache.
- Instal the firescape v1.
- Reboot your phone.
I forgot to include deskclock.apk in rom.If anybody wants it,they can get it from the attachment.Just flash it in recovery.
If font switcher force closes,flash THIS.

I can not instal any your rom it seys installation aborted code7 after 20 sec.Other cm roms work fine.

Yes it can be and it will be in couple of days time.
Hope to see it working. I wish if we could get 4.3 on our Willy too... though its impossible.

And don't forget to integrate theme chooser, there is a few system theme already including in your rom that change only setting color.But it's better than nothing.

it already has the theme chooser with a few more mini themes inbuilt.
