In 29 June 2012 Martin Börjesson abandoned this project and about two days ago I took over this project, fixed the app to work with optimus black again, bug fixed general things and added some cool new functionality.
NEW -> Choose led buttons! Finally you can choose which button(S) will blink for all your notifications (or a button / combinations / color per app, the choices are endless!)
NEW -> Choose LED Colors! You now can choose the color of the notification! (White, Blue, Blueish white, Light Blue and Purple)
NEW -> Custom LED Colors! Ability to choose from a wide list of combinations!
NEW -> Two new pulse mods: Shift and Fill. These are the first LED Animations ever for our phone! Hope you like them.
NEW -> The app finally works for P970 Optimus black on GB and ICS (stock ics and IZS compatible) Possibly JB but I haven't tried, please let me know!
NEW -> This app is now Optimus Black exclusive, all functionality you see is usable on p970.
* LED Notifications for sms/mms, gmail, Facebook or any other app!
* Choose a global notification for all apps or per each app, compatible with all apps that provide regular notifications (also works with specific Light Notifications).
* Choose sleep hours, led timeout, led colors, pulse types, disable on low battery and much more!
* Customize EVERYTHING from fading time to blinking modes or rest times.
* Lots more functionality for you to discover!

* Several bug-fixes.
0.7
* Some work has been done to get WidgetLocker to work better with the app. Thanks to Erkan Harmanci for helping me out !
* Added a new pulse behavior that will delay the pulse until the screen turns off. If user activity is detected the pulse will never start. This should solve some problems when using other lock screens or if there are other issues. Enabled by default.
* Added a toggle to create a notification in the notification bar for stopping the pulse if needed.
* Some bug fixes.
0.6
* Sleep-mode is fixed.
* Added support for notifications that wants to enable lights. Enabling this will start the pulse for all notifications that wants the LED lights enabled without having to add them as monitored.
* Added a special case for Gmail so that the pulse will stop if the mail has been read by other means. If there are other notifications waiting the pulse will continue.
* Better crash-handling. If the pulse was on when the app was killed/crashed the pulse would never stop until another notification was received.
* Battery-save mode is now disabled by default and pulse-timeout decreased to 1 hour.
* Added 15/30 minutes options to pulse-timeout.

Awesome work!
I love this feature!

Thank you very much for your effort!!!
It's great..

Thank you very much! I'll try it tomorrow. But seems like blue LEDjust works with fixed kernel, not with stock one, is that right?
Could you please add an option to randomly choose a LED Button for new notification. So that not allways the same LED gets stressed?

Awesome work It's nice to see that someone is trying to make led notifications works on our OBs
And here goes little feedback from me:
I use IZS with diana3 kernel. I use "leds always on" option (so leds are dimmed after few seconds). Generally it works ok, but when notification is on and led is blinking (any led, whichever animation), after unlocking screen, all leds turns OFF and I need to lock and unlock screen to make them work again. I wish leds were reseted automatically when notification is turned off after unlocking screen.
And blue color is not working with diana3 kernel too.

Thanks for the awesome application! :good:
I'm using Zeus 7.06. the notification led light is working but the default led light is disabled. I cant turn it on again... any fix for this?

Nice!
By the way, the original application was working for me also on IZS.

Nice one, mate.I hated that one white blinking led.Now I can use led notifications on IZS with all leds blinking......in blue.Fancy stuff.Thanks.

Re: LG Black LED Notifications
Thank you very much for your feedback yomek,
I am aware of the issue and I know why it happens, however fixing it will cause users with front leds off very pissed at me. I will add an option to automatically restore leds in the future for those with leds on.

Hi, thank you for your interess in this app. I understand the need to have blue leds on stock ics. unfortunatly (I might be wrong) a fix is out of my range of action, its a kernel driver issue, my app commands the driver to light up the leds but the driver ignores the request. I can fix the driver but not the app. would you consider switching to a "stock" kernel with only a fixed driver if I make it avaliable? something like nooby kernel with huexx led driver without dimming feature?

Sorry repling twice but I forgot something: can you confirm blue color is not working with diana3? I've tested it on diana3 kernel and blue leds seem to be working fine. If anybody else have this issue feel free to join.
Only blue color is not working? light blue and purple also not working?
I would like to remind that Blue leds will Not work on "shift" and "fill" animations, it is not possible to make this animation without turning on all white leds as well. (making it a whiteish blue shift). I'll probaly disable "led button" and "led color" options when choosing those animations in the future to avoid confusion.

I think that is not really needed cause we already have N00BY's, Hellmanor's and the ZG kernels. I think N00BY's blue LED kernel is about what you want to do. The other ones are partly with OC.

Change Log
Features V.05Build 25
-added optional dBm text display which will replace your signal bars
-added hide nav bar option (it will not work on devices that don't support a nav bar by default. more stability fixes for those devices later)
-added warning to weather when no location can be found
-added trackball alert
-torch code improvements
-small airplane mode visiblity improvement
Updates from Build 24
-Added lockscreen wallpapers
It seems that there is an interesting bug with Lockscreen wallpapers. Every once in a blue moon, your device may do a 'soft-reboot'. I can go into the technical details of why this happens, but basically it comes down to displaying a large 'picture' and Java/Android not correctly cleaning up the references to it, thus creating a memory leak. This is extremely rare it happens, and I've only noticed it happen while the device is NOT being used. If you're concerned, please just remove the lockscreen wallpaper and it will never happen to you. I'm trying to find a way to make this 100% stable.
-Added torch toggle to power menu
-Added airplane mode toggle to power menu
-Added 'about' page in ROM Control
-Added new LCD density wizard to help keep your device from being 'not supported' by certain market apps
-fixed music widget on octo lock
-fixed reboots happening when trying to show power dialog more than once
-fixed notification-unlink logic (won't toch other sound-volumes now)
-fixed MTP devices not being recognized by default (Gnex, etc)

Tried it. Love the panoramic cam. I did change the launcher, thought the Apex was choppy but maybe it's just me. Love the fact I have my battery level in % again!

I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by scott.hart.bti based for the Samsung Infuse. You get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with scott's current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
I plan on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

Instructions for porting Beanstalk
Setup to build - This section can be skipped if youve ever built anything before. This is for first time build setup.
1. From your root terminal location, type the following: sudo apt-get install curl git-core gnupg flex bison gperf libsdl1.2-dev libesd0-dev libwxgtk2.6-dev squashfs-tools build-essential zip curl libncurses5-dev zlib1g-dev sun-java6-jdk pngcrush schedtool g++-multilib lib32z1-dev lib32ncurses5-dev lib32readline5-dev gcc-4.3-multilib g++-4.3-multilib
2. Type: mkdir ~/bin
3. Type: PATH=~/bin:$PATH
4. Type: curl https://dl-ssl.google.com/dl/googlesource/git-repo/repo > ~/bin/repo
5. Type: chmod a+x ~/bin/repo
From terminal
1. type 'cd'. This will bring you to your root folder.
2. type 'mkdir beanstalk'. This will create a folder named beanstalk.
3. type 'cd beanstalk'. This will take you to the beanstalk directory created from previous step
4. type 'repo init -u git://github.com/scotthartbti/android.git -b cm-10.1'. This will setup the folders to be synced.
5. type 'repo sync'. This will sync the folders to your beanstalk directory. Note - This will take some time depending on internet connection. Be patient!
6. After the repo sync finally finishes, all you need to do is add your device, kernel, vendor specific files for the device you are building for. (You must know what these are, dont bother asking me if your not sure.)
7. Make sure all your device specific files are setup as if you were going to build for CM.
8. Outside of terminal, navigate to beanstalk/vendor/cm. Double click on the get-prebuilts file and select run in terminal. This will fetch necessary files needed to build and place them where they need to be.
9. Type '. build/envsetup.sh && brunch "device name"'
10. Previous step will start building beanstalk for your device. The process takes anywhere from 1 - 3 hours depending on your computer.
11. Once completed, it will say package complete and you will have a beanstalk named zip file in your out folder.

It's using the 5/30 cm10.1 nightly device files so I don't think it will. We just have to wait for that bug to get fixed on cm.
I will be making new builds when significant cm changes are made! :good:
EDIT: It looks like the problem has been fixed! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42067121&postcount=285
I'll have a new build up for tomorrow.

I read in the CM10.1 nightly thread that people were experiencing a black screen after flashing. Is that what happened?
What ROM did you flash from? And what kernel are you using?
I came from task650's AOKP and am using KT's latest kernel.
I came from darthstalker running att apns running kt tw kernel yours booted right up no issues
Edit: I DIDNT MEAN your rom wouldnt boot a nogo just about the headphone call not working yet

Just to let you know, I'm still working on this build.
I get an alert saying "Unfortunately, the process com.android.Phone has stopped." with the latest build.
I did a full wipe so I don't know what's causing this.
Anyways, I am rebuilding it as I type this, so hopefully that problem will be gone.
Loving all the features, and not too many FC's, but there's a problem when I make a phone call, it doesn't go through, then FC. Once that gets fixed this will be the perfect ROM.
As of now, the only bugs I know of are the BT and headset phone audio.
I was hoping that today's build would fix that, but when I boot it up, I get an error saying, "the process com.android.phone has stopped."
I have asked around to see if I can get any help with this issue. But for now, I'll just keep the 5/31 build up because it seems to be working fine.

Can you provide a logcat?
I just tested the phone, and it works great...no FC!
What apps were FC on you?
I suggest doing a complete wipe (format data and cache too).

Really? Whenever I would make a call, I would not be able to hear the other person, and they would not be able to hear me, and then after they hang up it would freeze, and after a couple seconds tell me that the phone had stopped working. I'm going to go ahead and do a complete wipe and flash the rom again. Hopefully it works.
Also, it only happened twice when I was on the ROM, but randomly while I was using it, my phone would say, "Unfortunately, the process com.android.Phone has stopped." I just pressed ok, and then restarted my phone and it would work.
I'm going to try and reflash the ROM, hopefully it works this time.

I have decided to make a limited free version (no ads) and a full donate version. You may download the full version from PLAY STORE and upgrade instantly. There are always some minor bugs. I would appreciate greatly if you would report any bugs in this thread rather than in a play store review. Please rate the app 5 stars and leave a positive comment!
Notifications Only:
This feature is only available in the donate version
AutoCocktail will not launch the edge cocktailbar until a new notification is received.
When notification is received you will see the native clock & weather feed briefly before AutoCocktail scrolls to your briefing feed.
The feed will turn off after the AutoCocktail timeout has expired.
Clock Always On:
AutoCocktail will automatically launch the native clock & weather feed when the display turns off.
The clock & weather feed will stay on for as long as you set the timeout in Edge Settings > Information Stream > Edge Screen Timeout
AutoCocktail will then automatically relaunch the clock & weather feed.
AutoCocktail will turn off the feed when the proximity sensor is covered and restart it when uncovered. (Saves battery when device is in your pocket and easily restores the clock & weather after manually scrolling thru your other feeds).
When a new notification is received AutoCocktail will scroll down to your briefings feed.
Briefings feed will stay until the AutoCocktail timeout expires, then restores the clock & weather feed.
Continuous Feed Scroll
This feature is only available in the donate version
This is an experimental setting. Expect some bugs. AutoCocktail will launch the edge clock/weather every time the screen goes off, then scroll automatically thru all your enabled feeds at an interval determined by the AutoCocktail timeout that you set in the app. When the edge screen timeout (android settings) expires, the edge cocktail will turn off for a second, then come back on to the clock feed and continue scrolling.
*a known bug in this setting is that sometimes the swipe will launch the feed's app and turn on the screen.*
Recommended Settings:
Note - Samsung default behavior is to turn on the display when a new SMS/MMS is received. That defeats the purpose of this app. I recommend following these instructions to change that behaviour.
* Reorder your feeds so that a single swipe towards the center of the screen (any orientation) loads your briefing feed!
Edge Settings > Information Stream > Manage Feeds > Reorder
* Make the Edge Screen Timeout 10 minutes if you're using Clock Always On
* The cocktailbar uses the display brightness settings. I recommend autobrightness.
Supported Devices
I have an s6 edge+ so that's what I test on and officially support.
However this app should work for:
S6 Edge+ confirmed
S6 Edge confirmed
Note Edge confirmed
S7 Edge confirmed
And it confirmed works for many other devices with ported S6 Edge/S7 Edge mods/ROMs.
If your device is not listed above, please post a confirmation that it works or doesn't!
Instructions:

great job
I want that when ever i recieve message than edge screen should on itself and display that message... wil this works like the same as i want ?

Update: All is 100% working now! New download available. Accessibility services must be enabled for consistent notification triggering. Proximity works perfectly. And that debugging piece has been removed. You can delete /sdcard/AutoCocktail more if you wish.

COCKTAILBAR ALWAYS ON & AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATIONS
*ROOT REQUIRED*
This is a beta app made with Tasker , that automatically launches the cocktailbar service when the display turns off...so it's always on. Whenever a notification is received, it automatically scrolls down to the briefing feed for 30 seconds, then returns back to the weather/clock widget. It will stay on for the length of the timeout that you set for the edge screen timeout in the information stream settings screen...then it will automatically restart. It recognizes when you are on a phone call (even speakerphone) and will not turn on if the display turns off during the call.
There are still a handful of bugs when exported as a kid app though, that I'm still trying to work out.
It recognizes when the phone is face down or in a pocket, etc, and won't turn on, to conserve battery...or if it was already on it will turn off. Cocktail will automatically turn back on when the proximity sensor becomes inactive.
Note - Samsung default behavior is to turn on the display when a new SMS/MMS is received. That defeats the purpose of this app. I recommend following these instructions to change that behaviour.
Many thanks to @trailblazer101 for the nudge in the right direction and to @Pent for developing Tasker.
Instructions & Download:
Hit Thanks on this thread please!
Find a thread of @trailblazer101 and hit thanks on it for blazing the trail!
Download the beta below.
Click the apk file to install it.
Find the panda icon in the app drawer and click on it.
Give it superuser permissions.
Enable the app in Accessibility settings.
Go to your edge settings and set the timeout for 10 minutes (recommended)
Go to your manage feeds settings and click Reorder.
Briefing feed should be the first feed to show when you swipe from edge towards the center.
Enjoy!

Not working for me. After making all settings and reorder feed, they receive calls or messages, the first feed is at the location, time and temperature. Nothing about the new notification in feed.

Thank you. Can you tell me which version you downloaded? I just updated an hour ago. Did you give root permission and enable accessibility service?
To be clear, first feed should be time/battery/weather (if enabled).
Upon receipt of any new notification, it should scroll down to the next feed. You want that feed to be your briefings feed.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I like this app to replace Night Clock since its available without a 12 hour restriction and uses the autobrightness. That's why it defaults to the clock feed and reverts back to it after showing the notifications for 30 seconds.
I need to build a UI screen so you can choose for it to function how I like it or choose to launch only on a new notification and go straight to the briefing feed. It will also make it easier to setup the accessibility service.
That UI might take me a few days.
Some additional functions I could add might include launching the cocktail bar on the left side of the screen (regardless of your Edge settings). Longer term, I could also let the user narrow down to only specific notifications triggering. And adjustable time before revert to clock feed.

OP Updated
Version 2.0.0b
Changelog:
Added UI when app is launched
User can choose Clock Always On
User can choose Notifications Only
User can choose length of Timeout
*Note* For Notification only setting, you will see the clock for a few seconds before it goes to the briefing feed. I'm trying to narrow down that gap and could use feedback on how many seconds you see the clock for....it should be less than 5 but I can fine tune it.

I installed version 2.0.0b but I have not tried it long time. I hate that lights up the screen every time we put hand over the proximity sensor or put the phone in my pocket. I noticed this problem similar to version 1.2.0. Sin. I expect an improved version.

Can you give me more specific information? Are you using Clock Always or Notification Only?
If Clock Always: The proximity sensor should NOT light your screen. It should turn OFF the edge feed when the proximity sensor is covered and turn the edge feed back ON when it is uncovered.
If Notification Only: This app should not be utilizing the proximity sensor at all. If your screen lights up it sounds like the Air Wake feature is turned on in your phone's settings.
Sent from my S6 Edge+ g928c

In both modes do the same. Turns screen when you put your hand over the proximity sensor. Air Wake or another feature like this option is not enabled. When AutoCocktail uninstall all back to normal.

[APP] AlwaysOn - like on Galaxy S7 or LG G5 - v0.5.1 - 13.7.2016

Hi I am back after very long time AlwaysOn is new trend of this year. To check time or battery no more need unlock your phone. You can try feature from LG G5, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in your phone. This app is developing on on the Galaxy S6. AOD - Always On Display
Recommended AMOLED display – you can also try it on LCD or IPS but I think there will be very big battery drain.

Features:
• Double tap to wake up device like LG phones
• Showing date, time, notifications and battery state and level(red - 15%, green 100%)
• Long press on the date open calendar app
• Tap on notification icon open selected app
• Automatic brightness control for AOD from light sensor or manual set in settings
• Pause AOD when receive call
• Pause AOD if phone is in pocket or proxi sensor is active more then 30s - save battery
• Ability set time which allow deep sleep AOD when phone is without motion more then set time in settings - save battery
• Ability disable AOD when long press backbutton
• Options for configuration views size, color, possition and visibility for views in AOD.
• Options to set wallpaper and opacity for AOD
• Options for time format
• If phone is charging AOD will never paused and you can use it like wath .)
• Swipe left/right over battery row to change brighness for short time removed in v0.1.2
Is impossible or not supported by me: disable fingerprint, disable HW & SW buttons, support for LED. This app does not require root or custom kernel and never will. I suggest to anyone who want those features, try other applications if exist.
Disadvantages:
• For now bugs and bigger battery drain still here but working on it
• You must turn off permanent backlight for hw buttons or set time when they will be turn off(Samsung limit I can not do it programally)
• Your light indicator LED will be off while charging etc. (it is because Android turn on led only when display is fully off so I can not do it programally)
About deep sleep - app allow deep sleep in inactive mod where you can set time for app sleep while phone is not moving. Then app will be paused because you sleep etc and then when you wakeup phone AOD will be automatically started. So I think this can save battery. The same if your phone is upside down or in your pocket, you do not need AOD ON.
I need some testers and feedback. Thx for your time. Based on the results of testing I will fix bugs or modify the application features.

Tried the app.
Here's couple of things I find missing and/or need to be changed.
1. There needs to be a brightness adjustment slider in the app settings. I don't think I would want to adjust the brightness while the AOD is on, plus there's only two options for brightness while AOD is working (darkest and brightest).
2. When placed in averagely lit area, when the AOD is on, after 30 seconds, the brightness goes all the way up for some reason, why would anyone want that.
3. The clock should be moving all the time to avoid screen burn-in.
4. When you place your finger on the phone's light sensor, the phone display turns on after 10 seconds. The AOD should be on all the time, right, unless you tell it not to.
5. Minor thing, but when charging led light goes away.
But that's just my observations. Do whatever you like.
Edit: v0.1.2
1. The manual brightness slider still does not work properly, only one option works: 0%, the others if you set, just goes to default brightness.
2. After 30 seconds the AOD changes brightness to lowest even though I set the settings to manual.
3. As I was writing this post, my phone display just randomly turned on, then turned off and the AOD is gone. Had to re-enable the AOD in the app to get it working again.
Great app, but needs a lot of bug fixing and stability, sometimes, when you turn off the display The AOD will only appear after 5-10 or so, sometimes right away.
Now this look very promising! Great work!
Confirmed 4. and 5. from post above. I don't know if for 3. is correct, if it is than he's right too.
Will test tonight for battery on my Note5.

@PFittech app looking good very promising would be a nice addition to add the weather also looking very very good also change the time format between 12 hour and 24 hour
Well.. ..3% / hour the battery loss this night...wake up at 76% from 100%. Usually I lose 2 or 3 % by night on stand by.
A little but too much for now hopefully it'll be improve.

Waiting for new update.
I think that you guys have poor battery life, simply because all these apps doesn't let phone go in deep sleep.
On S7 always on is implemented on kernel side, so until someone do the same on s6, we can't have this feature.
Yeah this app could reproduce it perfectly, but with no deep sleep i don't see any reason to use it.
That's It Bro!Well Done..But It Isn't Like The S7 Edge One!
Is It From Samsung Or Lg?

Hello,
My updates based on 12 hours of usage . Clean Flash sideload, flashed vendor & firmware before
1) First boot was okay, but it was sluggish. Google Profile pic was not coming up at all. Best rest looked okay with some rigidtity.
2) After reboot , it was smooth & fine .
3) Battery was also good, only 1% idle time from night till morning.
Only issue is with the Phone app, I am unable to see the calls sometimes , sometimes it shows up on screen.
I checked the settings to display over all apps still the issues was not resolved. I then installed the Google Phone app over it and tried it to default , but it was stuck on the default page in app.
So no sure what is the problem , is it ROM or the way i flashed it. It looks like a deal breaker if i can't see calls or pick them up most of the times .
Sateftynet is okay & L1 support is also there. Camera by deafult is Camera Go which is kool.
I will wait for the official release and then try again.
The new stable release is out Cherish-OS-v3.2-20211219-1025-sweet-OFFICIAL-Gapps.zip . Has anyone tried it ?

1- It should be stock miui camera because it is compatible with the device,
2- Since it has a call recording feature, it must be a stock miui Call and message application,
3 - There are unnecessary applications in certain AOSP roms, they should be debloated without mods,

Looks good but there's a problem with battery app, it's calculating wrong. Doesn't disturbing other functions, so I take it as daily driver and Ive installed gsam to check battery.
