Developed by SquallATF from a Chinese forum:

1.ROOT your phone and backup your external SD card!
2.Download the .ZIP file(here or here) and extract
3.Connect your phone to PC and run runme.bat
4.When asked for ROOT in your phone, choose YES, it will be done in a few secs(if something wrong shows up like "tar invalid tar magic“, try with another Busybox because the latest version messup with Tar file sometimes) and then phone will reboot
5.After reboot, disconnect your phone, go to settings->Xperia->Connectivity> USB Connection Mode, choose MSC and reconnect your phone to PC
6.Format external SD card to exFAT and disconnect your phone
7.Go to settings->Xperia->Connectivity> USB Connection Mode, choose MTP
8.ALL DONE. ENJOY!
Tested in my Xperia Z C6602 and works very well.

What's the diff between fat32 and exFAT other than max file size? Can i format the sdcard via sdcard adapter instead of formatting it via phone?

Thanks for this :good:, but i have a question . What will happen with files if we flash some other rom ? I guess we will have to format sd card every time we flash a new rom :/ ?

I think you need to run this exfat support if you change rom.

You can format the MicroSD card externally. I did it and it went just fine. This means that you can skip the 'switch to msc mode' step and the switching back.

I just did this with my locked bootloader. I haven't switched internal memory with microSD so I'm not sure about that, but if the kernel has exFat support loaded, why wouldn't it work?

aha, well, i would be thankful if someone can confirm this , cause there's no fun restoring 30+gb's of data every time i flash rom

Exactly it should be working though.

so each time i want to write something through pc to my SD i need to switch to MSC mode? Because i cant otherwise

But... since I'm already bootloader unlocked and rooted, this "root" process would affect in any way my root?
Another question: exFAT support file bigger than 4GB right?

yes

[Q] [CM7 2ndboot] Sdcard Can't read on my PC

Hy guys, i've just install CM7 2ndboot, it's work fine n I like it #thanks kabaldan:victory:
but I Have problem, When I connect my miles to PC using usb cable, and select memory card access. nothing happen.
my PC can't read my SD card. I dont find these probleme when using CM6
Anyone can please give me a solution??
thanks
Which filesystem are you using on your sdcard? (fat or ext)
If ext, then you can see it from any linux os but from none of the windows.
If fat, then you should be able to see it.
Does you os plays any sound effects when you select memory card access?
If yes, then i maybe disconnect and connect your phone to the pc will solve the problem.
If no, then i would try to disconnect and reconnect is and if nothing happens after a several time, i would try usb mode from OR.
Sometimes it takes some time - did you wait for at least 30 seconds?

Maybe you should disable the ADB Debugging and try if it solves the problem.
If it doesnt, you should try from a differend rom. Like cm7 withount 2ndboot or cm10.
If it doesnt work from any rom, then i guess it is hardware related problem not software.
Yes, try to disable USB debugging first,
Alternatively, format the card. Try with SD Formatter then create desired partitions with some partitioning tool. (first one FAT32, an optional (except for CM10) second ext3/ext4 and the last one is highly optional)

try another ROM, it mean ishoud using OR without 2ndboot, and flash old ROM (CM6) ?
I would try SD fOrmatter
Wait for the report
I forgot to mention but I hope you know - formatting is a destructive process. Make backup.

thank to mention that, but don't wory, there no importan thin
I've just tried using CM6 without ext partition. and i can read the sdcard well.
is that posible because i chose primary partition when create ext3?
I would try to partion my sd card with logical ext partition.
owh, i've just see CM10 thread, i would download soon
One more question, :is that realy need to install gapps?
what would happen if i don't install?
Can i chose gapps just that i need from market? is the result same when i install from kabaldan gapps gave?
btw, sorry 4 my bad english
All partitions should be primary.
There is a slight posibility that Play store is installed by gapps
thanks guys..
problem solve.
I've just reflash my mey, and problem solve.
It's look like i forgot tu erase or something ike that when update from 7.2.0
BTW, its still can't read from card reader at my laptop. it's normal?

[Tutorial][Fix][Guide]SD-card is uneditable[S5830i] + [Other Phones] May be outdated.

NOTICE: Read the whole post before posting anything!
Im not responsible for anything you do to your phone while following my instructions.
note: This might work on other phones, I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS THOUGHT.
If you (like me), have flashed many ROMs in your days here on xda, you have/will maby encounter this particular problem:
THE SD-CARD ISNT EDITABLE!!!!
Well this is because(correct me if I'm wrong) you have back:d up/restored your current state of phone (via our CWM) and it has created a file that makes that the phone mounts the SD-card wrong. It makes it so that the files on it are unchangeable and if you try to delete them... well it wont work. It also doesnt work to factory reset the phone, re-flash it via odin or format the SD-card.
BUT DONT WORRY (and dont buy another sd)
To fix this you'll need:
Another android phone (not the same phone as the problem is on, just borrow your dads or something)
A working brain, hands and eyes.
Recommended:
A Computer
A backup of the SD on your computer (it will work to copy the files)
Patience... (for the copy and paste) x2
How to do:
1. Connect your phone to the computer (do not mount the sd to the pc/linux/mac computer)
2. check how much memory you are using and take out the sd card from your phone.
3. put it in the other phone
4. now format the sd or delete the folder "clockworkmod" in the sd.
if you delete the folder: jump to 7
(its recommended to format the sd instead of deleting the folder)
5. format the sd again.
6. another format is probably not needed.
7. put back the sd into your S5830i.
8. if it still says that the sd is that full that it was before redo 1-7.
if not:
UR DUNE!
Now you can copy over the files from the computer to the SD. NOT the "clockworkmod" folder!1!!!!11!! it will bring the problem back.
my custom binary flash counter is at 104 but never encountered this problem.
but tutorial is still a tutorial so ill click the Thanks button
thaks.. reserve if encase
Re: [Tutorial][Fix][Guide]SD-card is uneditable[S5830i]
Wont it be easier with a card reader and a computer? If only one folder is responsible for all these, a card reader would be easier to remove!

[Q] Xperia V - move application to micro SD

I have alerte from my V that the memory is almost full
I would like to know how can i move applicatiobn to the micro SD because the only option that i have in the menu "application" is to move from phone to internal storage
Someone have the solution to really use complementary memory or are we limited to the 4gb included into the phone for application ?
Thanks in advance
Use Link2SD. It can move applications to the SD card
Thank you but it doesnt work.
Infact android consider the second part of internal memory as a sd card and don t see the real card to move the application
The V have 3 memories :
Memory of phone
Internal memory
Sd card
The solution should be to invers the internal memoory and the sd card but how ?
Use directory bind. Works perfectly in mine.

[Q] Help! Encryption failed!

Hello, today I booted up my phone and BOOM! Encryption error. So I flashed a stock rom via ODIN with no luck. Download mode and recovery both work, but I can't mount /data and internal sd card. I read somewhere online that I need a PIT file to restore the partitions. Is this true? Can someone upload the GS3 LTE pit file for me?
Thanks!
i'm on strong indication it seems u've attacked by emmc mbc encryptor malware (/Seftad). Its main goal attack is to encrypt ur master boot record of ur internal phone storage where the bootloader chip in so ur phone cant even entering to bootloader to makes it boot.
did u have a proper mobile security app/antivirus/malware installed? I'm using avast n I'm ok.
imo all u have to do is to gain full wipe & format (if possible) from recovery then go to download mode to flash stock rom by odin with repartition/PIT checked.
Grab i9305 PIT file here

Fixed it! Repartitioned my 64GB external SD in 4gb emmc 3 in CWM and formatted /data and /data/media (/sdcard). Then mounted /data and flashed a stock rom with CWM. I don't know if partition External sdcard worked, but everything is fixed now! If anyone has any questions I'm happy to answer them!

Mount the card on pc using an adapter or working phone with mass storage option, then format with standard procedure (on Windows right click on removable disk and format), if doesn't work try to flash again stock JB, you can try another version if your device isn't simlocked to the carrier.

recovery.fstab is a part of the recovery image into kernel, you can't copy-paste it, you can only touch vold.fstab with root access. But this is not your problem because you have flashed stock ROM! As I said earlier: try to flash again a different version of stock JB or try downgrading to see if the problem is resolved.

Try with re-partition of your SD card. Maybe it is in ntfs format, as far I remember we do not have NTFS support out of the box (only with CoCore kernel).

First - what do you want to do? vold.fstab will swap your internal and external memory. And sure it will not help you see your SD card on PC or recovery.
I had problem with non visible SD card in recovery on GB - and solution was to partition it again.
Is not only to swap, but also to set mount points. Yes, I forget about repartition, said to format current partition in fat32 but he said that with an adapter or another device works
