Nexus 7 Car Mount install - Nexus 7 Accessories

So I found a prettty good car mount that doesn't break the bank like a lot of these others for $25+
It's a suction cup mount found here http://www.ebay.com/itm/150946419800?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
It takes a little while to get it to sit the way you want but once you tighten up everything the tablet sits secure without much movement! Not saying it's the best but for the price it sits pretty still even over those nasty pot holes you may encounter.

Nice find. I've been looking for one of these. What is the total length?

it supports up to a 10" tablet

I had one of those to use with my HTC Evo View 4G 7" tablet and I didn't care for it at all. The View is a bit heavier than the Nexus but I'd guess that it'd have the same limitation. It was fine for a short trip but about 20 minutes or so after I started it'd start to droop then ultimately disconnect when the suction cup failed.

Me too
I have this same mount and I think it is great. It is deep enough that I can keep my N7 in its case, and it still fits and holds fine. This is a very stable mount on the cheap. I tried a different mount before this one,(more expensive too) that was useless. I'm glad I bought this one though.

Pics are broken.
Here's one that I've used with my Nexus 7:

At $25, I don't think it to much to ask for a quality product. You can probably find it cheaper on Amazon.

I just use a business card holder. Sits nicely on my desk and matches my other business card holder actually holding business cards.

Same here (but g19). Kind of defeats part of the purpose of this keyboard but oh well.

Kobo cover works

Picked this up today at my local Chapters store for $20. I just needed something for when travelling and don't have time to wait for an eBay or Amazon order to cross the border before my next trip.
It's not bad, fits in easily enough (thanks HUGE N7 bezel, you actually came in handy!). It also has a nice feel (different than most PU), and all the ports/buttons are usable while in the cover (though watch the top right strap, it can hit the power button).
Flap folds flat on the back if you want to use it in the case, and the N7 goes in and out of it quickly which is cool with me as this is just to protect it while in a bag, when actually using the N7 it'll come out of the case.
This is the NY Times model that comes in several different styles (I picked the most bland), and there are even nicer ones available if you want to drop more coin but at that point you're better off getting something actually made for the N7.

Nice pick up!
I saw something similar on Amazon from Marware for the Kindle. Also priced at $20.
See this case would be perfect for my wife if they didn't use elastic bands to hold it in, why is it so hard to find something like this that is just a little more industrial (has clips rather than bands)....ugh, the search continues, however this is pretty cheap and my wife might be willing to go with it, would be nice if it was a little smaller to fit the n7, just that much better, but beggars can't be choosers right?

360 Degree Rotating Leather Case $8.99 free shipping (not those velcro ones)

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...:172282,k&tag=asinref-20:nexus+gearonic&ajr=0
i got one of those rotating cases with the ugly velcro back for 5 bucks a while back, been forgetting about these with the circle in the back ones and non obtrusive bezel which i prefer over the one that covers the whole screen edges
for 8.99 in various color, i'd suppose its a good deal, similar ones are usually over 15 or sold in a bundle with crappy accessories on ebay

I got one like this from flebay for 6 quid its OK, bit bulky and I could never get it to be usable in portrait as every time I touched the screen it would fall over, landscape was OK tho.

I'm using one just now after my other case broke. I don't like it much, same problem as alferret plus it's clunky and doesn't sit right in my hands when the cover is open. It will do until I find something better though.

Same here. For me it's rubish for that reason. I got a original case now. Works fine.

i hope this is not a bad as you guys are commenting on
there is however another brand that I think some of you might be referring to, there is a similar one that comes with the whole bezel covered, maybe its that one you guys have instead?

Nope, it's the same as your first post. It's cheap and it does the job but there are better ones out there for the same money depending on your needs.

Hi guys, lately I have been thinking about making a holder for my Nexus to go in my car, so finally took the steps, a few weeks ago to make one, the first one was too heavy and just not right, so I decided to start making another.
It had to be light and easy to use.
The Nexus dock, has OTG, Charge and Audio. I can honestly say that it is starting to look the part and works flawlessly.
Here are some pictures of the first attempt,
http://fixer14.com/me/me/Projects/Nexus7/Nexus_First_%20Prototype/
Here is the progress on the second Build, wjhich is the one I am going to go with, It is not finished yet, but you will get the general Idea, soo far.
http://fixer14.com/me/me/Projects/Nexus7/Nexus_Second_Prototype/
I have also just within the last half hour finished cutting out what will be the front facia for the Holder.
Hi there, quick update on things, have managed to get the wooden front fascia fixed to molding, and have started to reshape it. Really nice fit and I deliberately made the holder to be 1/2 size of the nexus as it did not need to be full size and also adds a bit of quirkiness to it.
I have tried to incorporate a slight angle to the way the nexus will finally sit, when mounted, I do hope this is pleasing to those that visit and have a look.
More to come and will post when ready.
Here is an update, all sanded and filled ready for spraying now.
Something is wrong with your first pictures and the links. They are not showing up. I would like to see those pictures because I will also soon be installing the nexus 7 on my car.
Thanks!

Busy with work and stuff at moment, really thought this would get more feedback in a good way as it took ages, but turned out really good for me, but hey ho...lol enjoy pics.
Picture Links now fixed.
Very nice! Thanks for the pictures!

Motorcycle mount

Does anyone have a motorcycle mount for S7 Edge? I have never used any of those. Maybe you could recommend some brands. I've searched through google and it looks very limited, thanks.

Look for Ultimate Addons cases. I have the one for the S5 and it's great! Loads of vibration protection and waterproof - including charging
RAM mount so I used a tefflezer (or something like that) yoke mount. Works really well.
The S5 case I had one of the clips snapped - they replaced the whole case withing 2 days. Their Customer Service is brilliant.
But the S5 case was about £30...

Can't recommend anything specific, but I would recommend something that completely encloses the phone and locks it in place, like this:

Many years ago I had a Palm Treo in a mount that simply clamped on the sides of the phone (similar to this):
Had an accident, and the phone flew about 30 feet down the road. Found the phone (with the antenna stub ground down), and the battery cover, but never found the battery.
Ram mounts are very secure, sold on Amazon. I use them on bikes, know people who use them on motorcycles.

Well, RAM mounts are the only ones I kinda 'like' so far. However, after doing some research I noticed some people had problems with their mounts losing phones (especially in horizontal mode). Can't say I am convinced... Would rather get something like @meyerweb posted in his first picture.
EDIT: Alright, as I ain't trusting this RAM thing (simply found too many negative reviews) I came upon something like this http://www.givi.it/motorbike-accessories/Supports-for-mobile-devices-and-power-supply-kits/S957B
Givi is solid when it comes to bags and stuff but how about this holder? Can't find many reviews but it looks neat.
