[Tweak] MegaBass (bass enhancer)

I found in another forum a couple of files which allow us to add MegaBass, one of the most beloved features of Sony Ericsson's W(alkman) phone series. I bundled them in an update.zip to be flashed with Clockwork Mod, and given that they work in all Xperia phones, I've decided to spread them around

*Note* I didn't make these files nor am I savvy enough to discuss their effect. They've been tested in most models with success, though, so again, I distribute them in the hope that they can be useful.

He says UPDATE.ZIP so i guess you flash it in recovery.

It should be activated by default. I've been told that you need a good equalizer like DSPManager and good headphones to notice the change.
Since this is an update.zip file, you need to be able to enter CWM recovery. Therefore, you need an unlocked bootloader.

if your phone is rooted, you can just extract the update.zip and copy the files.
do not forget to set the proper permission to the files you copied.
after the reboot, it should be loaded by default I suppose.
edit: well, as written in the script, there should be no problem with the method above. but, I could not feel much differences though.

I dont know the contents of this zip but I guess you could just delete them if they haven't overwritten anything,otherwise you have to replace them with the stock ones via root explorer.

If I get this right, if device is rooted with locked BL , i just av to copy the two files in the system/etc folder in the RAR to the system/etc folder on my device right? after reboot it should work or am i wrong?

Remove the two files installed by the update.zip file from the folder they were placed in.

From my understanding it reinforces the bass that the equalizer can produce.

(SUPER MOD) Bravia Engine 2 BRING BACK (INSTALL XREALİTY)

Hi sony lovers
After opening the bootloader bravia engine 2 albums did not work. With this mode, BRAVIA Engine 2 albums and movies will work. You need to use the original ROM. origin 4.1 4.2 4.3 works with.
custom ROM is useless. Whether open or closed bootloader works. Only use original enough. I also tried the original 4.3 and spectacular works.
NEW
I'm so glad I did that. I tried very hard and finally ran xreality mode. ALBUM and video works. Xreality more quickly optimize photos. Only Xperia z original ROM works. Follow the steps below.
INSTALL
1) DOWNLOAD FILE
2) INSTALL ROOT EXPLORER
3) DELETE SYSTEM /APP / CREDENTIAL MENAGER SERVISE.ODEX AND CREDENTIAL MENAGER SERVISE.APK
4) RESTORE BRAVIA ENGINE file flash
5) X-REALITY FOR XPERİA Z file flash
NOTE: works on odex ROM only. Get a backup before installation. I'm not responsible if your phone is broken.
Please report back if it does not work. I'll help.

Is there any way to make it work on custom roms (AOSP,CM)?

Photos you take from your camera will be bit of noisy after unlocking bootloader, I really noticed that after updating to 4.3.

Is this compatible with existenz v5? It has the stock rom origin. Correct me if im wrong. After following the steps, my album doesnt work anymore. i fixed by having a full wipe.

If you are using the original ROM and you've done the steps necessary work. was attempted repeatedly. Please system / apps and credantial menager servise.apk in the credential menager servise.odex delete files. then install the attached files with recovery.

How to undo X-reality mod? Just delete the files X-reality zip flashed?
Because I used your Restore Bravia Engine and it worked well and I flashed the X-reality i don't see any changes anymore

call recording working s 3 mini?

Hi,some days I'm trying to solve the problem of recording conversations in both directions using the call recorder for stock jb 4.1.2 (I have root) and I can not handle this, how would someone describe step by step how to do it?
Alternatively, I can upload some kernel or custom rom just to work recording conversations.

You need modded phonesec.apk which has enabled call recording.

I uninstalled Walkman with Titanium backup, but install of this apk is failing. I'm rooted. I tried copying the file straight to /system/app. What am I doing wrong?

Meanwhile, what's the best way to get a hold of the stock album apk? I forgot to back it up first. I have an FTF of .314 ROM - any way to get it out of there?

I think u need a deodexed rom. But i am not sure about that. And are u sure u give right permission? RW R R? While moving to system/priv-app ?
Btwn u can find a flashable zip port in cross development section. Use that..

I managed to get the original album apk from my FTF. I've tried Root Explorer and FX w/ Root to install the original apk and I get an 'App not installed'. Not sure how I managed to do it last time. I guess worse come to worse, I'll just reinstall the whole phone, but trying to avoid that.

Yeah i tried it too. The album works fine for me but the walkman constantly fc'ed. Tried installing the walkman backup i had with no success. The only way to make it work again was to flash the firmware again. FYI I'm on stock rooted.

i have bean doing this.and most apps,libs,sound effect files could work fine now but the camera and its libs still not work

I know its too late but instead of flashing firmware again you can just remove the apk's and update center will see that the apps are missing and it will download and install them again.

Stereo Sound Mod for Incoming calls and notifications

as title this mod will make your ringtone and notifications loud and stereo like playing in walkman player
1st forgive me for my bad English lets start :
im using eXistenZ Ultimate 3.0.0 and im happy with sound quilty and loud when playing any music file but when someone call me the sound not good and loud like playing music on walkman
the files on the attach will make it 100% as it should be.
download the attach
extract it by explorer i prefer ES File
you will get 4 file copy and replace them on this path /system/etc/ tfa98xx
after replacing reset the permissions for the 4 file again rw r r
reboot and be happy
i tested on eXistenZ Ultimate 3.0.0 without any other sound mod and i dont use v4a also so dont complain if u flashed another sound mod before

WORKING here also on existenz 3.0 , but still the ringing volume was higher before on the older RomAur , dont know is it rom related , or this messing up with the @niaboc79 Z3`s sounD Enhancement , but the ringing volume is 2 levels lower even with that patch , wich is working ,just saying

this mod depending on sony sound files which it is not in cm11 im like you hope someone can make cm11 sound like the stock if so i can make it

Ive tried every sound mod available and my sound remains the same ive tried the flashable file and the manual extraction to no avail
Any ideas

I'm a little confused. What exactly does this mod do? Does it make it ringtones/notifications ring from both speakers or does it only increase the volume using some other method? :silly:
