Does anyone know what is this "gpsd" ? it drained 62 % of my battery in less than two hour and has been came up recently. it's icon is a system file. but i had never seen it before. it's suspicious, will appreciate if you've got further info about it.

may be your location service or GPS is causing this issue or google maps running in background.. force stop it from applications

Thanks a lot buddy, as i read the whole thread and some links i traced i got to know that it may be raised up by some malicious infected apps i've recently installed. Will uninstall them right now, and i hope the issue will be gone and there won't be a need for a full wipe.

I just installed the older version patched by ChelpuS yesterday
hopefully ChelpuS will patch this soon
Not bad looks nice got it installed but its a little boring home screen part of app is just categories no recommended apps or movies etc... also no song of the week no info of what's on sale

This is embarrassing but how do I install this? Tried to push it to data/app replacing the old one and fixing permissions. Doesnt work. Tried to install it like a normal apk and I get a parsing error.

Didnt mean to offend u but I buy the apps I like.
But I like the extra freedome the patch provides. Again I installed the patched version to try it out for the first time yesterday.
P.s. some apps I need are a good 50$ and I like to have more than 15min to try them.

How about you ask this in a different forum, the OP is sharing a leaked apk.

Still if you need this then ask somewhere else. I have found most expensive apps have a trial period before you purchase. So I do not completely fly with your explanation/justification either.
This has also just been leaked, it is not released yet for everyone...

You probably talk about navigation programs, yeah they are expensive but this amount of money you are spending on 'em isn't going to one person, there is a whole team behind those apps who is waiting to get paid for what they did and believe me, it's not that simple to make an app!
As many of you out there i use my smartphone for making calls and sms ing too. I have noticed that when i "stress" a little bit my phone with internet surfing and other apps, when i try to call someone the phone app has a few seconds of lag, which is very bothering me.
I know there is ExDialer wich can help, but i would like to use the default stock dialer/contacts/sms app. Can someone help with that problem? Is there any solution?
If you don't want to use third party apps, then you might consider rooting your phone and installing a custom kernel.. but even then, a few seconds of lag remains.. i use exdialer and am happy with it..

I already am rooted and using custom kernel. But the problem remains. It would be great a mod or something to keep those app always loaded.

I have tested all of them from russian to poland (asian excluded) and all of them had this problem, including indian one.
No one can help on this problem??? A lots of roms on development but no one can try to fix this problem..

The point of my question was that someone might want to make a mod that could solve that bug. There is no need in my opinion to create a new rom to solve a bug. To make it more clear: if i had a little problem on my car i wouldn't buy a new one immediately, first i'll take it to a proff trying to solve it. Wouldn't you? And by the way, i don't remember me "demanding" anything to you personally, feel free to not read this thread if you are not interested.

That doesn't look like a request either.. it's like you're challenging the devs and belittling their work..that is what it looked like to me.And i wasn't talking about you demanding anything from me. Read carefully .If that is not what you meant, then we have nothing more to discuss.

I do not own knowledges about android enough to challenge no one here..sow absolutely no challenge. Mine was only a question and a discussion about that bug, and as for all the questions it could be an answer or maybe not, no one is forced to do nothing.

Use exDialer and Handcent sms apps instead. They work like a charm without lag. It also helps to keep them in the background always

Why wont it work for us ? Did u try it and get some negative results, cos in the OP nothing has been mentioned about the requirements

AOIP meets Growl = The Best of Both ROMs
This is a port of Jb 4.3.1 Growl v5 (DarkLiquid/Smooth/Gaming/Battery) Samsung Galaxy W i8150 by @ipromeh, I am using @camcory’s Team Insomnia AOIP 2.0 (4.3) alpha for Galaxy Exhibit SGH-T679 as base. I didn’t make too many changes to the ROMs as i like to give credits to the original Developers, they put so much time and efforts to gives this, Thank you
This ROM has the Camera and Gallery working with no freezes
Everything else works from the original ROMs
Installation:
Please Backup your ROM using either TWRP or CWM (i use both)
Wipe Data, Cache…etc 3rd time is always a charm
Install Growl_AOIP_4.3.1.zip (If you have a better name please let me know)
Install Google Apps for JB 4.3
Reboot and give the phone few minutes to boot

Far as a name change, how about "GNAoIP" (keep the "O" lowercase and "gnaw" on AOIP instead of "growl" which is harder to incorporate into one name with AOIP). the link has several jb gapps, none of which state 4.3 specifically. I have three already, but when I tried one, the newest one I had, it clearly was not the correct one. rather than go down the list, trying jb gapps until I find the right one, I thought s question was justified.

on the top of the link page it has a graph, it says cyanogenmod in one column and android in another. under the android one it has 4.3,
download the one thats under the row of cm10.2 and 4.3... dont mean to sound mean but its kinda obvious

Well I have to say this is pretty stable and fairly fast. Unfortunately some minor annoyances are too much for me, and the sad thing is it has nothing to do with the ROM but the android version I'm sure. Latest Viper works but doesn't play well with 4.3 IMO. You can get it to work with your music players but you can't get it to work with system sounds at all. So if this app is controlling sound you won't hear any notifications/ringtones unless you turn the app off. Tried a million things but nothing changes that situation. The other problem is that ad blockers like the one @BSDgeek_Jake comes out with don't work, although maybe Crossbreeder could do the trick but it is really for 4.2. The developer has been working on a 4.3 update for 3 months. This is what is so frustrating when new android OS are released, it takes FOREVER for everything else to catch up.
Anyway nice work porting this and anybody who doesn't need some of the things I need would be pretty happy using this ROM.

I am a noob, so I will, on occasion, ask noobish questions. what seems obvious to you wasn't so clear to me. thank you for the link. I look forward to trying it out. it will have to be pretty good, though, to beat out the other new rom we got today (I forget the name). this one's pretty nice.

Super Nexus is Tim's old ROM and it isn't being updated anymore, some people here are just discovering it for whatever reason.

back in the phone's glory days ahaha. btw did you get weird fc on the camera after flashing the settings fix for the rom?
For me everything works great, looks like a great and buttery ROM, however most of the market apps wouldn't download for me including Facebook, what's app, Google search update just to name the few. What happens is download would start for a spilt second you would see the download animation in status bar and then stops right away. Play store would show that's it trying to download forever with no result. Please help.
I have reinstalled ROM, cleared play store and download manager app restated tons of time with no luck. Thanks in advance for your help.

Never even tested the camera, I spent all day trying to get V4 to fully work!

I had trouble with Play initially, same problem you all describe. I just hit stop on the downloads while in progress, then started them again. They downloaded fine after that. Weird but simple solution. BTW a fix for V4 may be incorporating it into the ROM. If you decide to just ask @zhuhang first.

Good evening, so sorry to bother and I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place...I tried posting this req in the Q&A section but I don't think it's that active there. I was hoping someone could post the TW launcher included on their 8/10.5 Tabs. I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 ed that I'd like to try and use it for (and since the resolution and Android versions are the same...I thought it might be no/minimal headaches).
For those of you that haven't played with one...the Note 10.1has a god awful hald-baked version of TW on it, which looks kinda like a GS4 versions...and kind of like the Pro models. I'm using the Google Now launcher, but miss some of the Two features oddly...so I'd like to give this version a shot!

Also are you rooted and have titianium backup? I have it backed up and can't seem to upload the apk and only the backup file in titanium backup format.
