I've got something to ask, which battery saver application is the best? I'm using android booster, memory booster, battery widget, task killer advance, ADW Launcher EX and juice defender ultimate... I'm afraid this is too much, so I decide to uninstall some...
Here are 2 useful apps I recommend:
Samba Filesharing - easily access the device over wifi as a Windows shared folder (much faster than FTP)
Jota Text Editor - good text editor with monospace font and automatical charset recognition (displays e.g. Windows texts with German umlauts correctly)

Are you really using all these apps simultaneously? I'm only using the free version of Juice Defender with the 'Balanced' setting which makes the phone go online every 15 minutes to let the apps sync their data in the standby mode. This reduces the battery consumption for wifi from 32% to ~6% which gives at least 25% more battery life. Nevertheless, I have to charge the battery each day, but at least it gives me a bit of extra time to get through the day.

I also installed jango (music streaming), pulse (news feed), bought smart keyboard pro (cos I liked it and didn't like the popups for the trial version, though that was the only difference between trial and pro), jorte (organiser) and the google navigation app (modified, because nav is not available in my area).

The Ones 1 Use...
1. Launcher: the stock LG HOME launcher: because i find the HOME pretty decent. it has the "G" sensor working and i also love the stock widgets.
2. MUSIC:i use the LG Stock Music Player because of the widget, dolby digital equalizer, lock screen pull down control and the notification control . additionally i use UBER MUSIC (with the metro skin and clear widgets skin becasue i like the seamless fluidity of the app and the skin)
3. GAME: only two games: a) BLOOD & GLORY-for serious gaming b) PEGGLE -for casual time pass
5. BROWSER: the stock browser because of the best flash integration.
4. OTHER APPS: set cpu, root explorer, Simple Task Manager, Ambient Time LWP.

I don't have any issues with Chainfire3d, I use it to play Nvidia games and such.

This is really good, I'm using some of these features myself so I can attest to it's well-functionality. While I was perusing these threads, I came across a post by reputable developer who said that V6 Super charger causes nothing but problems; If so should I risk it? What are your opinion?
task650 and others pointed out that the ram levels set by v6 are lower than our stock settings. That is v6 was designed for phones with less ram, so the free ram levels are lower than optimum on our tabs. I set them manually with system tuner pro.

Personally,i feel the V6 supercharger makes my tab run smoother,less stutter..I'm on KI2, pershoot oc 1.2, v6 update 9.

I've heard it does other things than just altering the min free values, so maybe that's why task did an about face regarding v6 by integrating it into v1. 1 of 3.2

After following the progress made here, I decided to make my own modded ROM.
The name was chosen because I'm a total newbie in modding and I don't expect it to be very good, but well enough at least for me.

- Based on CoolrunnerII's CM7.2
- LauncherPro (Because Nemus started to lag)
- Increased Heap Memory size to stop Market and Wallpaper problem (now the Market can be updated)
- Replaced Music with Winamp (Beta, but stable version of Winamp to be as light as possible)
- I "borrowed" Kuskro's ideas (like quicksettings and RealCalc)
- I included Rotation Locker (to change from portrait to landscape)
- I included some lines in build.prop which improve 3G and changing to wi-fi and wi-fi connecting speed
- I gave up on CPUTuner because it caused too much lag for the small ammount of saved battery
- Bootanimation changed.. Thanks to SDogo for the X1 Bootanimation.zip

HOW TO:
- Format in CWM Recovery partitions /system, /data, /cache

- Once booted, make sure it won't go in standby until after next step
- Go in Settings>CyanogenMod settings>Display and deactivate everything except 0 degrees
- Go in Settings>CyanogenMod settings>Performance and check Use 16bit Transparency
- Go in Settings>CyanogenMod settings>Performance>CPU Settings>Max CPU Frequency and set any freq between 528 and 576 MHz
- Reboot in recovery
- Install the GAPPS
- Reboot

-Bluetooth (as CoolrunnerII says, if you deactivate bluetooth, the battery will drain very fast, so after using bluetooth, deactivate then reboot)

Let me tell you that CPU Tuner works properly on ZeamDroid but on CM7.2 doesn't because of CM CPU controller. For CM7.2 the best option is not the CM CPU controller the best choice is SetCPU.

The reason why CPU tuner doesn't work is because of CM CPU controller. But CPU Tuner is the best frequency switcher for our Xperia X1.

I edited the name and about the google drive link, it's now fixed...(so please, if you can, remove the link from your post, because I don't know what's the downloads limit - or if there is one) also, the DL speed on Google Drive is bigger
Well, guys, it seems the base ROM and the kernels had not changed in the last weeks so until an update comes I retire and go back to WM because my camera is f**ked up and my X1 is the only replacement, I have to manage a high-school radio (from everywhere) and also I have semestrial tests in the next 2 weeks.

Hi, this ROM works great for me, very good performance, but after awhile it's not letting me make any calls. Whenever y try to call someone it just shows in red "Call Ended 0:00".
Wish I could go back to windows mobile as well, as I love using my X1, but I wouldnt use it if i did, as there's no Whatsapp or decent gtalk app on windows mobile.

As i posted as soon as i saw Huexxx is back : SWAP. I said it to be implemented but it doesn't have to. All one need is a compatible kernel. If you have one you can even use third party apps. I already have one but i can't use it due to incompatibe kernel. Here is a free app from the same dev for checking if your kernel is compatible (it doesn't work with IZS v0, i've already checked, you can try if you are using other ROMs) :

PS: If you want this topic to be useful i suggest keep these things to features that aims for performence, stability, or new useful things. Stay out of personalisation, themeing, apps that can easily be installed later as much as possible. "4100 points in antutu", "compass app" , "Task manager and laucher from V30i", i am sorry but these are neither useful nor really necessary. We all want Zeus Tweaker to return so other than that if i have to give an example for new "things"; i think that would be "Halo" from PA. It's open source. There are other things before it comes to that but it will be more useful than a lockscreen request.

As i posted as soon as i saw Huexxx is back : SWAP. I said it to be implemented but it doesn't have to. All one need is a compatible kernel. If you have one you can even use third party apps. I already have one but i can't use it due to incompatibe kernel. Here is a free app from the same dev for checking if your kernel is compatible (it doesn't work with IZS v0, i've already checked, you can try if you are using other ROMs) :
PS: If you want this topic to be useful i suggest keep these things to features that aims for performence, stability, or new useful things. Stay out of personalisation, themeing, apps that can easily be installed later as much as possible. "4100 points in antutu", "compass app" , "Task manager and laucher from V30i", i am sorry but these are neither useful nor really necessary. We all want Zeus Tweaker to return so other than that if i have to give an example for new "things"; i think that would be "Halo" from PA. It's open source. There are other things before it comes to that but it will be more useful than a lockscreen request.

I agree! I prefer a ROM as clean as possible and, could be useful an AROMA innstaller to do some personalizations from the first install... but thast not important, like themes, some apps, crossbedder, Awesome blue beats, actions for the G button...
But al thoose things IMO are weird to be included into the ROM... much better it to be as clean as possible, i prefer to rebuilt the ROM befor iflash it with my prefered apps and mods.
I believe that is much more useful that Huexxx works on the kernel to improve performance, maybe some gobernors/schedules, frecuencies, OV and UV... like in ZEUS ROM.
Also the built in Tweak to improve SD card read speed.
The bug in the data managment menu, where apps doesent appear.
And as far as i can think now thats all the ROM need.

A list of must-try applications
Hi guys, I've been trying out a lot of apps lately and I was surprised by the number of apps that go unnoticed when you're browsing the Play Store.
These may not be the most recent apps, but they're just apps that I think everyone should experience at least once.
None of these apps are specifically made for the Z, but they work well with it.
Anyway, I've put together a list of apps and a short description for them. Screenshots used are of my own phone.
I hope you like the suggestions, do give these apps a try.

Well, now that's no longer a problem because you can keep different dpi for different apps. The App Settings Xposed module lets you set per app dpi & font size.

When it comes to taking pictures, some people just want a camera that adjusts it's settings automatically. But if you're one of those peoples who likes DSLRs where you can adjust various parameters to get the "perfect shot", this is the app for you!
Camera FV-5 can also produce photos in PNG format, thus preserving high quality of pictures. Multiple focus modes, Shutter speed adjustment, Exposure adjustment, and the list goes on. Hands down the best professional camera app ever!
Delayed Lock:

The main drawback of having a lockscreen pattern is that you have to enter it each time you want to unlock the device, even if it is only a few seconds after screen off. If you set a lock delay in settings, say 2 minutes after screen off, your phone will unlock right away. No slide lockscreen. The solution for this is to use Delayed Lock. Aside from the mentioned feature, it also has other useful plugins for WiFi based unlock, location based unlock, etc.
DroidCam:

Webcams suck because most of them have really bad picture quality. Wouldn't it be awesome if your phone's camera could work as a webcam?
Well, here's your solution. DroidCam can connect to your phone in multiple ways and stream video from your phone's camera to your PC.
You need to install software on your PC too. It is compatible with Windows and Linux.

Having a 5 inch screen, I thought it would be awesome to be able to perform multitouch gestures to navigate between activities and control various device features.
GMD gesture Control proved to be exactly what I was looking for.
With a great levels of customization and an extensive feature set, this app is probably the best gesture control app you'll ever come across.
(Tip: In advanced settings, set Override touch events parser to: ICS_DEFAULT)

The worst part of having a ton of apps is that they drain battery even when you aren't using them.
Well, with Greenify, you pretty much ensure that applications that you don't need running in the background will be hibernated when you aren't using them!

If you're like me, then you hate having any sort of history on your device. History Eraser erases history from apps like the browser, play store, call logs, etc. at the touch of a button.
It also has a handy 1x1 widget for this.

This Xposed module can change system icons. The beauty of it is that it can be used for all launchers.

One feature I hate in 4.2.x is that the camera is accessible over the lockscreen. I have also noticed a number of people who do not like the idea of having widgets on the lockscreen. Lockscreen Policy allows you to disable lockscreen widgets and/or camera.

SD Maid:

A great app to manage startup of applications. Many apps launch on boot that considerably slow down the phone. Not only that, but they also end up draining battery if they are not killed.
Startup manager lets you decide what apps will launch on boot. It can also control startup of system applications.
Trickster Mod:

Trickster MOD is a nice, easy-to-use tweaker. It may not have a ton of options, but it does have the most useful ones and the ones that really matter.
It also has these "tools" that help you change your device's hostname, trigger the media scanner and connect through ADB over WiFi.
Wakelock Detector:

I was huge fan of Better Battery Stats, but of late, I've been having problems with it. I was searching for a good replacement, which is when I came across this app.
A humble app that shows you a list of wakelocks. Does the job well and does not consume additional resources.
XBackground:

An Xposed module that can change the background for the Xposed Installer app as well as the background of the notification bar.
Needs a reboot to take effect.

Ever wanted to use CM themes on a non-CM ROM? More specifically, have you ever wanted T-Mobile Theme Engine themes on a ROM that doesn't have the T-Mobile Theme Engine built in?
Well, this is the answer. XThemeEngine does exactly that. The drawback though is that it's limited in it's scope and not everything works perfectly (The project is still in beta). Also, themes need to be ported and cannot be directly used as is.

It's quite light on resources too.

I don't own a PS3 (PCGamer ), so I have never used the app. I will however add it to the list later.
I wonder if it will work with my Xbox 360 Wired Controller for Windows. Some games do support the Xbox controller without having to modify anything.
I'll test it out tomorrow when I get back home.

im currently on stock,locked but no changes has been seen.. or should i reboot?
I bit the bullet and bought camera fv I'm a sucker for pics and I'm well glad I did not only does it give a million options but you can set the hardware control's ie volume control to take pics

So i installed the Exposed Installer and now my battery is messed up. My z was on discharging 19% left and when i connected to pc....immediately raised upto 45%, 10 mins later the phone died. Any ideas?

Nope, I'm on an odexed stock ROM. Some tweaks may not work, some might. All of them need a reboot to take effect & also ensure that you enabled the module in Xposed.

This is most likely not related to Xposed framework.
Try and do a full charge to 100% and see if it's just a random problem.
