I just wanted to ask all of you if you know of any solution to the problem I´m having, I know there´s plenty of threads about this but I haven´t found a solution for my problem,
I want a CWM for this phone but i can't find it.. i wan to flash rom.. is there any-other way to flash a rom without odin or CWM??????????

Hi I'm trying to install Darkys ROM on my Galaxy S but just can't get it to work. I keep getting the verification error. I'm on firmware 2.2.1 and build FROYO.XXJPW
I would really appreciate any help as this has been bugging me for a few days now as to why I cannot get it to work.

As it was said, wrong section, and there is a thread about darky so.. pff.
Your issue seems to be recovery 3e, flash with odin a cf root or custom (speedmod, voodoo..) kernel. That's all.

People are helpful... provided that you ask in the right place.
Just flash a kernel with 2e android recovery using odin, and you'll be set. then just copy the zip to internal sd and flash it from clockworkmod recovery
Friendly helpful yes but extremely peed off with Darky users who cannot be bothered to ask him read the posts read the faqs ask for help on Darkys help channel .Majority of helps on these pages are from Darky users .One gets a bit fed up pointing out that the developer knows whats in his rom and how to fix it the forum is XDA not solve dargy rom problem forum .Many members will have no knowledge of Darkys rom thats why we say ask Darky .
If you cannot read simple instructions like Q&A in correct section as you have not bothered to look /read/understand then you are going to break your phone .

My Galaxy Tab arrives tomorow and i read here at XDA that the stock rom isn`t that good as some Rom`s cocked here.
So i`m new to this.
Can someone help me with a few links and steps of what shoud i do to try XDA rom`s?
I`ve seen that it`s 1st post on development "How to root" but what are the steps.
I`m mean whats the next step after root and if i`m not wrong i`ve seenthat you coud flash roms via recovery and via a program Odin. Can you give me a link on how to in both cases ?

How about a little more info: What kind of tab is it? 7" 8.9" 10.1"? GSM or CDMA. Unbranded wifi only? Or carrier fixed like T mobile or AT&T?
Also before rooting or flashing you need to know if your tab has a locked bootloader or not. If it is you need to apply a certain patch.
Give us some info and links will be on the way.

It`s a GSM Samsung Galaxy Tab 7". i bought it from ebay Italy.It`s not sim lock.
It`s a P1000 model. When i will get it how to see if hada locked bootloader ?

I`ve received my Galaxy Tab today and i`m playing with it but it`s run very smooth, very quickly ? How it`s therom`s cockedhere ? Is it realy necesare to root it?
Well the choice of going custom or remaining on stock ROM is totally up to the user. IF you feel fullfilled by your device. then no need for a custom ROM otherwise use it.
quick question (NOOB). i just got my tab wifi only and i have yet to see any guides to flashing it or anything.
my question is can the wifi (P1010) tab be flashed with gingerbread or any other custom roms

I don't think there's a lot of development going on for it. I see no reason why it couldn't be flashed I just don't think there's any ROMS or anything being made for it. It can be rooted pretty easily.

the answer is NO, the P1010 is a different hardware than the P1000 and you cannot flash P1000 ROMs to it.
True, but there is 1 or 2 p1010 roms in the dev section, done by Khasmek from memory.

Hi all, ok ive decided to try and root my samsung galaxy s running 2.3.3 gingerbread build XWJVH ,can anybody reccommend a custom rom for me, ive looked at Darky and looks quite good, any feedback please, i used to have a hero and rooted that ok but im a bit confused how to to go about rooting the galaxy s as dont wana brick it, hope to get some help soon and thankyou from Brian

darky's rom is good but theme is crap....y not miui or cm7?
Indeed it's the wrong section, you have to post in the Galaxy S I9000 Q&A section, here you are in the I9003 section, Galaxy S SL, which is different from your phone, Galaxy S
Don't try any ROM of this section, you'll brick your phone!

I have a Samsung galaxy ace s5830D. As I have sort of figured out it is different than the galaxy ace s5830 and the s5830i. I was able to root it with superoneclick. But my bootloader just says "installation aborted" when I try installing clockwork mod or any custom roms. If you have a fix for this that would be greatly appreciated !

Bootloader?? Shouldn't you flash it in the recovery ??
The s5830D is not really that much different than the standard s5830, other than regional stuff. I have the "D" model and have been using the info for the standard s5830. Same roms, recovery and tutorials work.
Would you be so kind as to link to the appropriate s5830 roms and tuts that worked out for you, please?
I've seen some thread where people haven't had as good luck as yourself with s5830 stuff working on s5830D devices.
I cant remember for sure which one I used for cwm, but this one seems familiar to me. As for ROM's its a matter of finding one you like, read the developers threads to get an idea of if that ROM is what you want. At the moment I'm using Democracy final, but I change ROM's like crazy. lol. Another one I am fond of is Apocolypse. Again, these both appealed to me and suited my use of my Ace. Just make sure that anytime you flash anything thats it's for the s5830, as flashing something for other variants will brick your phone..
