Nexus 4 Gaming Thread - Nexus 4 General

Ok, so we all know about 3D benchmarks and how that helps to test the performance of our phone in games. That's good but I decided to take that to the real world and create a database with the help of all to check the performance of games on our phone.
I started to play around with a little handy tool called "Fps meter" and test it with two high performance games like modern combat 4 and real racing 3.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aatt.fpsm
Here are the results after playing the first tutorial race in RR3 and playing to the first checkpoint with MC4.

Note, The app displays the average over the previous minute.
We could create public database in the future. Tell me what you guys think.
I haven't found anything about this in the thread, tell me about it if thus was the case.
Using AOSPA and franco kernel by the way.

Well, it would be very dependent on what ROM + Kernel we use, in regards to gaming. So it'd be a pretty darn "messy" DB.
Just my 2 cents

Not really. We can use tabs with Google docs for each game and then the results from everyone's configuration. It depends on the feedback from people. But I really want to see how games are performing before purchasing them and can make me decide what Rom/kernel to install.

[GAME] Chip Challenge Remake
Hi everyone, we are pleased to announce our new mobile game Chip Challenge for Android.
Trailer: youtube.com/watch?v=LQbmKZ0R0Tc
Google Play: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emsoftworks.chipschallenge
Logical and insights turn-based game that will test your brain and fast fingers
Logical and insights turn-based game inspired by classic Chip's Challenge. In 110 levels you will test your brain and your skills to complete each level in the smallest number of moves as quickly as possible. Levels are stacked by the difficulty from easiest to very tricky, which are a real challenge.
The task is to collect all the chips in the shortest time and minimize the number of moves to deliver chips to the processor (CPU). Your way will complicate obstacles, locked doors, moats, but also enemies and dangerous turrets. Each level is unique and your best results are recorded and compared with the results of other players when you are online. Every level shows the current top players both in terms of time and in terms of the shortest path to overcoming levels.
Levels 0-50 are completely free. Levels 51-110 are premium and are divided into two packages. After buying the premium package levels, these levels are playable offline and you don't have to be connected to the Internet.
Thank you

Sorry for bumping up an old thread. I'd like to say thank you for this post. I didn't know if this game worked on the Aria so I was happy to see another Aria user was able to run it. It doesn't have a free version so I didn't want to risk it.
Anyway Game Dev Story is on sale for 50% off ($2.45). The other day it was 75% off. I bought it for 50% because the 75% sale was brief. This game is definitely a steal for that price (normal is like $5 I believe).
This game is about creating your own video game software company. Eventually if you're good enough, you can make your own video game console. You can hire or fire people. You can also boost the stats of your workers. Work on side jobs i.e. ringtone maker lol...It's a fantastic game and I think for the price, everyone should check it out. Runs great on our Arias =)

Great battles Medieval relased for Tegra Devices

Hey Xoomers! (sounds cool huh) the Tegra store has just released a game called Great Battles Medieval which i am downloading right now for $6.99...I cant stress how badly we need some good games for andriod, notably our Xoom tablets. Lets show support fpr our tablets by buying and not bootlegging these apps...some developers are now interested in Android, but if we show them know support, why would they continue. I will let you all know how the game is
A 700 dollar game?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
It's actually on 6.99$
Please tell me you mean to say 6.99
sent from my Motorola XOOM
oh shoot, I meant $6.99..sorry!
So far, have to admit, the game SUCKS!!! Im praying that it gets better with more play through...but i don't mind spending $6.00 to garner more game support from developers.
HURRAY!

I'm actually enjoying it so far. Then again, i'm sure once there is a bigger variety, this one will be put away onto the shelf of shame, along with all the others.

These are the kind of useless comments I see all over the market (and elsewhere) for various apps. While limited for space there, here that is not the case. Why not say this AND then expound on why? Also, if you can articulate why, then sending the developer an email (in addition to this post) might even get (some of) your issues taken care of?
I fully agree, but sadly this isn't really my kind of game...But, I did buy Fruit Ninja THD, and will probley end up buying Riptide GP.

Turn off mobil data and wifi and try to open any Website. Then press in the dinosaur and enjoy the game.
The shorter you tap it the lower you go! I could probably manage 100 if I would concentrate enough!
This is my high score and I have been able to replicate it numerous times...
Boom.
Dino was running too fast
Flappy Android though, it's really hard lol. Usually ends on 1 or 2 [emoji15]
My dino score...
Not lollipop but..
On flappydroid I only got 4 lol

Oh snap Yeah I got to figure out what boats apps I missed.
All Verizon and Amazon apps are disabled on mine except the hotspot and voicemail app

Booya!!!!!!!!
More details...
Nice
very satisfied with my bike maxx
This is great for a device not weighted down by bloatware. Judaxxx
I believe our specs could definitely keep up with phones loaded with the 810 snapdragon
Only difference is a slight performance boost and 64 bit ready not a big difference in my opinion except for the 64 bit part
I'm also eager to see if there would be a noticeable difference in performance and battery life
There is but not by much
Maybe because of the droid specs lollipop could give boost?
