[Q] Tpu/Silicon Bumper Wanted - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Are there any good bumpers out there that compliment the grey Note II.
Not looking for aluminum, would prefer tpu or silicon.
Have seen a few on eBay but they aren't pretty and look out of place to the colour of the grey Note II

Because the Korean (I believe) version of the Note 2 has a TV antenna that comes out from that spot.

Ah ok. Thanks. Are there any without the cut out? All I can find is the one with the cutout.

I just got me one of these from a local store here in the Philippines. I regularly use a UAG Scout and I must say that this is pretty slim compared to the Scout. A few more things to note:
Lip is only about 1-1.5 mm thin
Drop protection is only a 2 on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest
Will only allow you to charge with the cable that came with the phone - anything bigger wont fit.
The jack of my aJays one+ fits
Power and volume buttons are covered.
Personally, I wouldn't use this case on a daily basis - it's more of a "for the home" kind of case. I'm still going to use my UAG - Scout especially if I know that I would have a tough and busy day ahead.

Case review thread

Hey everyone,
Got my nillkin case:
http://www.nillkin.com/chinese/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=&tid=&cid=&scid=&id=2739&page=
Pros: There is a fine texture on the back of the case. Really improves your confidence regarding holding it.
The smooth case of of stock Note kinda makes you feel like it might slip right out.
Holes are cut pretty well. I kinda wish it was little bit thicker to protect the camera more.
Cons: It's too thin. Meaning it doesn't really fit all that well with the cover on.
However, if you remove the back cover it's pretty good actually. You lose your NFC antenna if you do this though.
The top and bottom are basically exposed.
This is, one one hand, annoying, and on the other hand - At least I don't have to worry about headphone port blockage, or worse - making the USB port even more annoying than it is now.
I haven't tried the included screen protector yet.
- Frank
Has anyone seen this case?

It's great and i've the same for my Galaxy Note 1 but i'm not sure it's okay for the Note 2 because metal and NFC work not good ... What do you think about that ?

About 10 days - typical hong kong shipping.
The screen protector isn't staying on very well.
What about simple protection? Is it that bad as u said cos its thin and it doesn't fit well? Or still one can assume it's safe (i rarely drop my phones)..

Genuine Samsung Flip Cover Review (Case for Galaxy Note 2)

Video Review
http://youtu.be/qiBW8HfdE2A
Follow Up Video!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd-sJOMwj8E
Pros:
Very cool, elegant design, and great idea. You'll want to show it off to your friends.
It eliminates wobble problem.
You can talk with the case on.
Volume still controllable through flap.
Adds very little thickness and width.
Very good materials.
Back feels more sturdy.
Issues:
Makes notification light useless when it is closed.
Expensive, at least for the moment.
White case may be more prone to staining.
Other:
I wish the flap, although it sits flush, had some kind of magnetic attachment.

A magnetic closure will screw up the pen functionality big time.
Do you think that making a small clean hole where the notification led is, it's feasible?

Try it and see. Your s-pen won't work within range of the magnetic field.. It's only temporary.

i just tried it. you're right. but will it have negative effect in the long run? also i'm afraid the small piece of metal that attaches to the magnet might damage my screen. not a good buy i guess.. got it for around $15.

I was thinking the same thing this morning. I think if you know materials, have precision and sharp drill bits you can do a clean job. but I am too committed to the love of OEM and unmodified factory design, I don't think I have the heart do it. Also, the whole point is to remove any opening to the glass from dust particles. having a hole there just works against that goal.

Unless you cover the hole with transparent film, tape etc...
If you check the reviews here on XDA for the Note 1 version, a couple of us had problems with the flap leather/skin coming off of the support cardboard material after a couple of months. It's really nice and elegant, but the lose skin starts getting in the way. Just something to list in the cons section.

Yes. Potential peeling of outside cover on OEM case is a worry. I agree that this was a major flaw of original case. Ps. I think it was way more than a couple of people complaining about it. Lots of bad reviews on several sites. Hope Samsung have learned. From a distance though ...this case looks to be of better quality.

I dunno, I had one on my S3 both a blue and white. Forget the white, the edge peeled and got really dirty in a day. The same happened to the blue but didn't look so bad, but the edge still peeled and the hinge eventually cracked within a couple of weeks.
Am wondering if the front of the cover is waterproof??

perfect for a day to a week use ugly after a month... side peels which sucks big TIME
Any other case of this style you guys would recommend?
I now have two back covers (with nfc).. thanks to the flip cover I bought today..
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
some reviews from the samsung site about the s3 flip cover say they deteriorate fairly quickly...can you comment on this with regards to the note2 covers?
I have the orange flip cover and now also the black. I bought the black because of a 50% off coupon that I got from Samsung and also because my orange one got incredibly dirty! I'm going to try and clean it today. Not sure how well that will go. I work in a warehouse so my hands get fairly dirty. There are large "finger prints" on the inside of the case from where my hand holds the cover when it is in the open position.
Will let everyone know how cleaning goes today!

Galaxy Tab 2 Cases Fit

Hey,
Just brought a Belkin case from PCWorld designed for the Galaxy Tab 2 10" and its a perfect fit. Holding the Nexus 10 up to the Tab 2 it's easy to see why. They are pretty much identical. Has the 3 fold design too. Now if I could just fit a small magnet under the material it would switch off when closed
Pictures to follow!
Whats the product name of the case you bought im heading to pc world later
Its called the Belkin Tri-Fold Folio with stand.
Luckily the shape of the corner grips means that although it covers part of the power button it doesn't actually touch it.
Thanks for the pics!

Camera and flash align perfectly.
Thanks, I just ordered one. My N10 comes today due to UPS leaving it at their shipping facility on Friday
Thanks! Needed something to protect my baby until the hardshell keyboard cases come out!
I just ordered a zoogue galaxy tab case. Says it fits both tab 10.1s.
I have a zoogue case for my Xoom and I love it.
It is a bit pricey ($55 shipped) and I would call it more of a couch / indoor case.
I will post pics when I get it. The race is on both N10 and case where ordered tonight!
Only problem with the tab cases is they cover a good portion of the side speakers I hate not having a case on this thing...

Yes I seen that. I hope it does not sound to bad.
I just really like the adjustability of the case. I can go all the way forward or all the way back and any place in between.. Not just 3 notches like many cases similar to this.
I'm very excited and can't wait or sleep for that matter.. Ha
awesome! looks like a nice case. Will stop by a best buy tomorrow to try her out.

Love the S cases been using them on every phone since the EVO3D
Any problems with charging?
I have a similar case and you have to take it off in order to charge as the bottom bit extends the length of the phone and the micro USB connector can't form a secure connection.

Nope no problem here. I did watch somebody do a video review of a similar case and his cut outs didn't look as precise as this one so maybe you have a similar case to his but this one gives me no problems at all.
I bought the same one on ebay for 3 bucks. Great case for the money.

exactly what i'm using now, only £2 from UK seller on ebay. includes a screen protector and a mini stylus lol
1 thing i like to add is the grip on the side is very useful!

You can use finger nail clippers to make the hole bigger if you need to (I've done this before with other TPU cases). This case looks nice but I need more protection on the corners in case my phone gets dropped.
I got exactly the same case, but in black.
Decent for the amount paid for it...
I picked up the version with the kickstand. Pretty sweet so far.

I wonder how many will replace the band? I am considering it wondering if the OEM bad will stretch a little over time?

My watch has been shipped but I haven't received it yet. The stock band is too small for my wrist so I'll either have to replace it or do the "baseball cap mod" to the stock one.
I replaced mine immediately with a $8 band from Walmart. It's the black nylon with a Velcro closure, no stupid lettering.I think the part that the watch attaches to is made of lycra. Not sure, but it is stretchy enough to allow for the charger to be installed between the watch and the band. Came with new pins. Buy the size that says 16-20mm. It is so much better looking and way more comfortable than the stock band.
Here is my replacement band. I think the original is nice, but this is something different. It's just a bit more loose and comfortable.
Amazon "Steel and rubber bracelet for the luminox 3100 series dive watches " for 39.95 plus tax.
It has a solid, but not heavy feel. For me it's OK.
However, to present another view, my wife does NOTlike it; since there is no steel/silver in the watch body. She thinks that the band doesn't quite work.
Here's my nato style strap....
Had to cut and seal a space out of it to use the heart rate sensor but was easy and cost £3 off eBay. ...

Does the heart rate sensor really work with that gap between it and your skin? There are posts about people having trouble getting it to work with full contact.
A couple of metal bands I ordered from eBay:
I prefer mesh style bands lately. This one I liked because the links are more pronounced and chunky so it goes more with the size of the watch. It's like black chainmail and more rugged looking without going overboard in size.
I am currently using this one more because I like the "lighter" feel of it. Very similar to the bands on Skagen watches I've owned.
***You should note that the Spigen sticker protector is peeling off at the corners nearest the bezel after only a few days of application!!! I've done quite a few of these installs on other devices, so I know it was installed properly, just seems that those corners are hard for it to stick to. I will write them and see if I can get another set, and if those also do the same thing, I won't recommend this product. Sort of puts me at a disadvantage because I am nervous of the rubbery coating wearing off eventually.

put the watch in a foam box all day it make sure you'll have no scratches.
I really like this turquoise one I got off Amazon. It came with the pins to attach it to the watch. Only problem is that the leather is a bit stiff. Still, I much prefer it to the stock watch band.

Looks nice! Did that come with the slots already cut out for the Gear pin "levers" or did you cut them out yourself?
It actually came with the quality pins already installed, it was super quick to remove the old strap and install the new one. Like 5 seconds. Maybe I'd definitely buy from the seller/brand again. Much better looking than any I saw at Walmart.

Yes, it came with pins and so far I like the fitment and quality. Mesh bands are designed to be very light, so expect that it's not going to "feel" heavy especially if you relate weight to quality. It is heavier feeling than the finer mesh one, though. I expect that eventually the black anodizing will wear/rub off like all of these dark/black metal items I've purchased before. Time will only tell how quickly this happens.
