READ CAREFULLY - WRONG OR MISSED STEP LEADS TO BRICK!
I was searching for some improvements for my other phone Optimus 3D MAX,
when accidental i`d found a simple method how to enable the GPU rendering instead of software.
You must have rooted phone and at last root explorer.
So here are the steps:
1. Enter /system/lib/egl/ and tab the [Mount /R/W].
2. Open egl.cfg with Text Editor.
3. The output should be like:
0 0 android
0 1 adreno200
You have to remove the first line and leave only 0 1 adreno200 in the file.
Save and exit.
4. Edit the permissions of /system/lib/egl/egl.cfg to looks like this:

X O O
X O O
" -rw-r--r-- "
5. Rename the libGLES_android.so to libGLES_android.so.bak and tab [Mount R/O] up in right corner.
6. Reboot the phone.
What is the benefit of this?
From that moment the rendering will be made only by GPU.
The CPU is not on the same pressure and we gain more performance on simply browsing the desktops, menus, opening websites and etc.
Well the battery life is reduced by 10% to 15%, but guess all of us prefer smooth ride instead of 2 more hours battery life!
A 10-15% hit on battery life would be too much for me.

Works for me, actually I did this twice and never had problems. I used Total Commander for android which asks to remount and sets the correct permissions so you can skip those steps.
I also have the option "Force GPU rendering" from "Developer options" enabled, I saw this in an older tutorial which describes the EGL tweak.
it work's with TC, it auto-adjust the permissions.
It works on mine...

HOW DO YOU INSTALL?
1. Download files on link below(Extract on your desktop). If you download to phone directly, you still need to extract to a normal folder.
2. Contained within is 2 files.(voicetalk.apk & libsvoxtts.so)
3. Place voicetalk.apk in system/app with "Root Explorer" or like(Use Mount R/W and set permissions by holding voicetalk.apk to see sub-menu). Make sure to make permissions as "rw-r--r--".
4. Now place libsvoxtts.so on /system/lib.
5. Reboot IT WILL INSTALL ON REBOOT. NO NEED TO CHANGE build.prop such as with others.
6. ENJOY, then ask funny questions to it.

I've just tried this out and its awesome love it shame wake up command don't work get fc and shouldn't this be in the development bit cos would love to see this implemented on the roms

I was on es as well but after you get root we should really use root explorer. It's way better and you can set permissions etc.

I do have root and i also know how to chnage permissions. I was having a stupid moment as the gf is asking me ridiculous questions about her new phone, .....she wont let me go near it for if i root it LOL
Why do we have to chnage it to RW-R-R, as opposed to the automatic RW-RW-RW

I tell it to set an alarm for 5.30am, it says here is your alarm..............But it doesnt actually set an alarm? If i go into the clock app theres no alarm set?

If you are using ES file explorer, you need to go
Menu --> settings and enable root
If you have already done that, then..I don't know

When it fails, a popup window appears and tell me 'some system files don't allow changing of permissions (e.g. sd card). So I thought it was my sdcards problem. So I'm going to try adb

Didn't work also. ES File Explorer, Root Explorer, FX and ADB didn't work. So I guess my sdcard is the problem.
It is a goldcard anyways.

Mine is also a goldcard and it works.

When i upgraded to ics official i see that gameloft games like order and chaos etc.. is hidden or said unsupported device.
If you want to play here is the fix:
Install Build.prop Editor
Go to Build.prop Editor and change this:
ro.product.model=Optimus 2X
ro.product.brand=lge
ro.product.name=lge_star
ro.product.device=p990
ro.product.board=p990

I wouldnt say it's like all phones bc I tried to edit the build.prop to download Modern Warfare to bypass the checking device capability and now my kindle is stuck on "updating applications" and it wont boot.

not like that, I DINT CHANGE ANYTHING only added, i only changed the secure things and never got a bootloop. i dindt get anything bad with seeder, what it make, i downloaded the latest one

what it make that i never see any bad, i see my tab smooth, but i think is because i downgraded to 7.2.1 and edited the build.prop and used some init.d tweaks.. the antutu benchmark isnt the best form of testing a device, it can run very smooth all and i got 7780

Firstly thanks to Cyanogenmod Team and the AOKP Team for the Roms that im using to Port.
The Rom is based on the cyanogenmod nightly release date 2013-05-17 the kernel is dated on 2013-05-25. The AOKP nightly rom are dated 2013-05-18.
About the port:
The Rom is usually and works correct without forced closings or something! If you are an Hardcore-Gamer or Benchmarker dont use it.
What is not working:
Nfc don't work I'll try to fix it. NFC is fixed
All things working well! If u find some bugs tell me about it and i try to resolve it.
I did some edits on the framework to make internal, external-sd and telephony working.

How to flash it:

For me I don't need much power. If its just smooth its enough.
But how is the battery? Other roms tend to run out fast.
Also: nice work and thank you very much. I love the AOKP rom.
Maybe i will update the rom but priority for me has to resolve bugs on the rom...and porting other roms... Everybody fell free to optimize the rom!

Try to use "cleanup for reinstallation from Google play" and see if it helps, I've had this issue before. Also check the binary is up to date

What do you mean? The only app on store that comes with above search is a ROOT app which i cannot start

Yes, even a total format, reinstall, fix persmission...trying to install busybox/supersu/su by hand.

I´m on it... i think i can solve it! I haven´t recognized the SU prob... i restored my data partition an they have Su because from other Rom... I do Update the Rom...
