any recommendations for any aftermarket cradle/spare battery chargers? thanks

The Samsung stand is really nice and comes with a battery. Use the 50% off code.

was hoping to charge my phone and the spare at the same time.
i saw a 50% code in an old post from dec. which has expired. was that the one you were referring to?

I just used the code this week to order the stand and the protective case. This is the code I used r2b3J56.

The big question, can you fit Note 2 with a case inside of that stand. I tested a few charger/cradles and found them either fitting a naked phone or with a super slim case. I don't want to take my UAG or Tough (and that one is slim in my book) cases off when I need to charge my phone. So the questions if you can use Samsung cradle with a case on and which case are you using?

never thought of that. i have a ballistic case on it right now. i guess ill just be using it to charge the spares.

I can't speak for other cases, but I have no problem using the Samsung protective case with the Samsung cradle.

which one, their bumper cover+ or whatever it's called or flip cover case? Both are slim, right? In that case, maybe there is a hope for a slim tpu case Actually from a picture that Sammy cradle has a wide enough opening. Can anybody measure the width?

The bumper looking case.

will the samsung flip case from the note 1 fit note 2?

anyone know if this is goign to fit? amazon currnetly have the samsung flip covers for under £5, (orange and brown) so could be good?
No, it won't fit. The official flip cases replace your back cover, and the Note 2 is a different size to the Note 1.
Different size dude!!

I seen them in black and white tonight listed on eBay. They look very similar to the original Samsung flip covers. I'm not sure about the quality though. They look good in the supplied pics, but you just never know.

[Mod] Samsung official flip case with tpu bumper?

Anyone tried this? I'm waiting on my dx tpu bumper to ship. Im thinking of modding it to work with the flip cover. If anyone has done this please post pics/links as I will do the same as soon as mine ships. Unfortunately the bumper I ordered is backordered

I cut a elago s5 case to use with the flip cover yesterday but if you look closely at the flip cover beside the regular battery door its considerably thicker... no way its going to go on. A tpu case wont work either im afraid.. its just too thick.

Black carbon fiber battery door replacement

I bought it from ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Brus...lePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item53ef678d0f
I must have been lucky cause it arrived in 6 days - overseas shipping Hong Kong to New Zealand
Overall the fit of the case is really good, fits as good as my oem one. Everything clicks into place.
The carbon fibre immitation weave looks good, its made up of plastic. It kinda reminds me of a wicker basket pattern.
The texture feels alot grippier than stock case and has a matte finish to it.
What about NFC? And does it come in other colors?

I'm pretty sure these ones don't have nfc

I saw this listed on EBay and now that I see what it looks like installed, I may get one myself. I'll bet it would look sweet with a black aluminum bumper case too! My only concern is if it's thicker than the original cover. The bumper cases are a pretty tight fit.
I don't have any calipers to measure it but it feels real slim. At a guess it may be like 1mm thicker but minimal.
I haven't tried removing my stock nfc as I don't use it so can't answer your question
There was another guy on this forum who bought several battery door to try but haven't heard any update from him

Now for a bumper that will fit the sides well.

I recommend this case great and adds no bulk to note 2 i give it a 10 out of 10

I purchased this case on ebay great price free shipping phone looks good protects note 2 just fine it doesnt make bulky heres link to purchase and pics http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=281028003729

This case is only good for protection from scratches. While using this case I dropped my Note 2 from 2 feet onto pavement and the screen cracked. The case is great if you want something very slim but I wouldn't trust it for drop protection. The casemate tough case is also very slim but provides 10 times more protection.

I only use this case for after work during work i use a otterbox commuter
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Yep, read another post with someone dropping their phone using this case and it shattered the screen. It's slim and protects from scratches, but next to nothing drop protection.
+1 for Case-Mate Tough as one of the slimmest cases with a drop protection on par with other cases twice of it's thickness.
awesome!
I just like this case cause phone still looks sexy with it and im pretty carefull with my phones but i do construction work so otterbox comnuter goes on at work

I have the aluminum button from spigen over the home button for that very reason.
Back to this case to be honest I didn't even think it looked all that great. The back is an absolute grease and finger print magnet.
After getting my phone replaced I tried out the seidio surface case (which I liked, good kickstand) before finally settling on the casemate tough case. It seems to be the perfect marriage of slimness and protection. Although I'm probably going to order the seidio convert case add on for the surface case I already own for those trips where I might want additional protection.

It comes in 3 colors for 10 bucks. Actually the black and silver look very nice, much better than stock and I actually prefer the tactile feel. It has a very nice metallic spiral design. I was concerned about the button moving around but after 3 weeks so far the adhesive is very good. I'd recommend it especially if you have a Verizon note 2.

I had a slim case on my N2 once, a Nilkin one but pretty much the same design as this one.
Then I dropped my phone whilst getting out the car, and now I have a dirty great big crack across the bottom of my screen. No insurance...
Now I have my phone in an Otterbox, with a film screen protector to hopefully stop the crack getting worse. I has a very big sad.
Do yourself a favour, avoid slim cases as they're worse than useless. They give a false sense of security that WILL be shattered, along with your screen, when you drop it. If you're going for a case, get something that PROTECTS!
That's exactly what I just wrote in another thread for Case-Mate Tough. If you want a super slim case, great grip, and durable corner protection to give you a piece of mind - there is no better choice but Tough case.

Got Bored from the Slippy Grip_Note2_N7100

Hi everybody,
Here you can post your experience about the slippy grip of your mobile (especially N7100), and how you've got rid of it; either with using special casing or without using any casing.
Thanks for your participation.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I didn't. The Note 2 needs to be slippery for me so it can slip into my pocket.
I tried to use casing, but itmakes mobile looks bigger, also I removed the chrome from the bezel thinking it will help, although it looks more fun to me but still very slippery. I'm searching here and there, the only reasonable solution is to replace the battery cover with one like Note3 battery cover, but it's not available in markets in my country, I have to go through ebay or amazon

If you're willing to try; you could spray it with Plasti-Dip http://www.plastidip.com/
It will give your phone a rubbery/grippy feel, but is easily removed if needed.
You could either spray the battery cover with it, or also spray the bezel as well for ultimate grip.
I use an Imak Cowboy shell case; it has a really nice/grippy texture and adds very little bulk to the phone. You can pick them up for $10 on eBay.

I find the Ringke Slim case adds a nice level of grip, or rather adds a non slippery surface that's grippy enough. It still slips effortlessly in and out of my pocket. Also it really doesn't add any bulk at all. Try a search and I'm sure you'll see some photos.

i had ordered the 'leather' back cover but that didn't provide any grip. plasti dip is amazing.

Scotch Brite scouring pad might do it.
I recall people using that method to give a 'matte' appearance to the GS2 plastic bezel.
