Follow these steps to put your device into fastboot.
(1. Turn off your phone.
(2. Hold vol up + vol down, immediately.
(3. Use vol down to quickly scroll to "ap fastboot."
(4. Press vol up.
(5. Connect usb to the pc.
(6. follow this tutorial by Huatz84.
Good luck dude.

Stuck in Boot and no way to enter Recovery

Hello LG-2x owners !
I am in a big mess!
I just installled a new rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699066
My Problem:
When I start my phone , it stucks in the boot. The bootlogo appears, it loads a few seconds and then it just reboots. Over and over again. No deal, I dealed allready with a thousands of bootlops but I cant enter the recovery menu in this case.
Why not? I push all the buttons like Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume down but it enters the boot.
I am so confused and out of plan.
How could I fix it?
Please help me XDA-Community!
Are you pressing the volume and power button past the first LG logo (white only) until you get to the second LG logo (with blue halo in background)?
Try releasing the keys only after you see the second logo.
Sent from my LG-SU660 using xda premium
Thanks for your reply, buddy
I really appriciate it.
The logo wih the colorfull background is not appearing. Thats the main problem, the entrance to the recovery is not there anymore. No colorfull lg logo, nothing.
Its like this: I push the requiered buttons at the very beginning, while pushing this buttons the phone starts. The LG Logo appears (without Background) and the bootlogo appears from this rom.
You might have to reflash your phone and start all over again. Check here for an emergency flash.
Assuming you have it backed up, you can also try this to hard reset:

This will ONLY work if you're able to boot your phone normally, and able to access the menus. And if he has CWM installed, holding the power button + vol down will enter CWM automatically. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Please make a tutorial for me becuase I dont get the other one

I dont understand it because I got german windows and on top of that there are no photos or anything to know what he means so could you make something else to make it easier to understand?
Do you have take out the accu, take back in, and then hold power and vol-down till 2. boot logo appeared?
Gesendet von meinem HTC One S mit Tapatalk 2
it cant be more easy.
after you pull out the battery you press vol down vol up and connect with data cable to pc. nothing appears, but you go to control panel, then to system and there to device manager, you will se list of all devices and one of them will have some symbol. i think its question mark, you will click it with right mouse button and choose update driver, you will click find driver manually and find the directory with driver extracted from downloaded archive. click ok and driver is installed.
then you can navigate in windows terminal to folder with extracted archive and run the *.bat script with internal or external storage. you can download archive with whole rom on other threads or forums and by run the *.bat load new rom t phone

I did everything like described by the other links. It looks like this emergency flash is the last chance to get the game on.
Could you please explain me how I can install this apx driver ?

Thank to the guide and to you guys, thanks a lot !!!
INSTALLING NVFLASH UTILITY (USING WINDOWS 7)
1. Download NVFlash Utility and Drivers here, and extract to a location of your choice (e.g.: Desktop);
2. Turn off your phone, remove the battery, SIM card and external SD;
3. Hold VolUp + VolDown buttons at the simultaneously and plug in your USB cable (if you use a desktop computer, I recommend using your rear USB ports). Your phone will show a black screen and you should see Windows trying to install a new device, but failing.
4. Right click on the notification showing a failed driver instalation (bottom right corner of your screen), and select 'Update device driver';
5. Select 'Browse computer...', and then select 'Let me pick...', followed by 'Have disk'.
6. Browse to directory you extracted the the zip you downloaded earilier, and point to 'usbpcdriver';
7. Accept any warnings, including the big red alert (you may need to disable UAC);
8. Now in Device Manager under 'USB Controllers' you should have an 'NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices';
If everything goes alright, you should now be prepared to flash your phone using NVFlash.
FLASHING YOUR DEVICE
This is the easy part.
Just go to the folder where you extracted the zip, and run 'flash'.
Wait until the utility works its magic and when complete, disconnect your phone from the USB cable, put the battery back in and SIM Card, and reboot to the stock LG ROM.
First boot might take a while, but it will eventually boot and that's all there is too it.
Hope this helped!

[Q] Need bootloop help

I'm trying to remotely help a friend with a Nexus 6 stuck in a bootloop. The phone is new, just out of the box. He accepted an OTA update before doing anything else, so no USB debugging (or anything else) was set. Now it's stuck in a bootloop.
Is there a step by step guide available to allow flashing a factory image in this situation. Everything I find so far requires USB debugging to be set first. Or, are we talking brick? Returning the phone would be very difficult.

If I were your friend I would put the phone back in the box take it back to the store and demand a brand new one immediately that shouldn't be happening on the stock device

Unfortunately, he bought in the US and is now far outside the US. That's why returning would be difficult.
Dam. Can he boot to the bootloader.

He can do each of these steps but when it reboots after #6 it goes back to the dead robot and "no command"
1. With the phone powered off, press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button at the same time until the device turns on. You will see the word "Start" with an arrow around it.
2. Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight "Recovery mode"
3. Press the Power button to restart into Recovery mode. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark and the words "No command."
4. While holding down the Power button, press the Volume Up button.
5. Use the volume buttons to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press the Power button to select it.
6. Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data" and press the Power button to select it.

On the "no command" screen, hold power, push volume up and reenter recovery. Select reboot system. See if the phone boots up.

At this point, you must connect to a PC and see if you can get fastboot to recognize the device. Then we can proceed.
Will the Nexus Root Toolkit http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/ work even though USB debug has not been turned on?

USB debugging does not have anything to do with being in fastboot or recovery. As long as the proper drivers are installed, your computer can recognize it and you can use fastboot in bootloader.

Custom Recovery access

Hi everyone, I've been reading several posts on the LG L90, particularly the D415 which is what I have and I do not have one thing clear.
How do I access the recovery mode when i turn the phone?
Yesterday I almost break my phone to test a custom room that was not discharged well, luckily I had a backup. If I did not have the backup, how I would initialized the phone?
Thank you everyone for your comments
Please forgive my English, it is not my native language.
With the phone off, hold VOL - and PWR buttons. When the LG logo appears, release and hold PWR button again. Wait for the blank screen to show up asking if you want to reset your phone, select YES twice and wait. If you have custom recovery, it will boot CWM/TWRP, if you are in stock recovery, your phone is going to reset the factory image IF you still have stock ROM in /system partition.
Another method to complete reset partitions and files to the factory image is to hold VOL + and plug USB cable, you phone will enter in download mode and you can follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/guide-flash-stock-kdz-offline-lg-l90-t2803479
Thanks
Thanks for your help

Trying to hard reset my xt1068 kitkat phone, didn't show dead android guy at all.

My phone was frozen when I was taking a video,
then I forced restart the phone by pressing power button until it restarted.
However, my phone stuck at the android logo for a quite long time with the screen on, so I decided to do a factory reset.
I have tried the following steps on my friend's phone as we bought exactly same phone,
and succeded at first attempt.
1, volume down + power button goes into boot options.
2, then android logo, then about 2 seconds later, dead android guy would appear.
HERE is my phone's problem:
in this step after showing android logo, my phone would vibrate once and then just gone black, just like turning off. NO DEAD ANDROID GUY showed up. Certainly would not be able to do the rest steps.
I have searched and tried so many methods that others used when they could not get into the bootloader. NONE of them succeded.
So I need help, guys.
Anyone got any ideas.
Thanks in advanced !!!
no one ?
I guess I had to bring it to the store for repairing.

Have tried most methods on youtube and most android webpages.
The vol up or down and power key all combos.
Only thing i could get was into safe mode.
Model: TA - 1004
Hardware: 64gb storage/ 4gb ram
Software: Oreo8 and was nougat 7.1.1 (didnt work for both)
Dev options: OEM unlocking selected.
Appreciate if anyone can help. Thanks!
Hello,
1- Nokia off.
2- Plug USB cable (mandatory).
3- Then push on vol+ until android robot appears.
4- Then push Power On first, maintain it and then press Vol+ to launch recovery menu.
Works fine for me.
Regards
Christian

Appreciated ty. gonna try
This does not work for me. I've watched videos on YouTube, and still, nothing. If I hold down the volume-up and power buttons, I just get the android logo over and over. This is a pretty essential functionality to be lacking. Someone on Nokia Support forums said some of the phones do not have a recovery?
Personally I tried several methods for booting into recovery, using the button combinations that were instructed on different sites. In the end the only method that worked for me, was enabling Android debugging and using adb to boot into recovery. Too bad that after all that, the recovery was of no help for me, as there was no option to wipe ART cache.

Same experience here, and again I was going for a cache wipe, but apparently Oreo manages cache different to Nougat. Here for what is worth, to the original questioner, is the note I made having finally got into recovery after many frustrating attempts:
1. Connect via USB cable to PC
2. Ensure ADB debugging is on and the "Transfer Files" mode is selected
3. At the command-line type: adb reboot recovery
The phone will reboot to an image of an android robot on it's back with a red exclamation mark and "no command" written on the screen
4. When you see this, first hold the power button down and then, while still holding the power button, press Vol+
You should now be in the recovery menu
---------- Post added at 03:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:49 PM ----------
I played around with this method, originally Posted by cb_diamond, and found it sometimes worked and sometimes didn't, this may be of help to the first questioner. Almost the same sequence as previously described but holding down Vol+ before attaching the cable, this seems to work consistently for me.
1. Power off your Nokia 8
2. Hold Vol+ down (and continue to hold it down)
3. Plug in a USB cable from your PC into the phone, after a few seconds "Powered by Android Appears" and several seconds later the image of the green android robot appears on screen. You can now let go Vol+
4. Next hold the power button down and while doing so press Vol+
Hopefully you are now in the recovery menu
