Benchmark: Epic Citadel - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hello there,
has anyone tried free benchmarking app called Epic Citadel on our O4X? Basically, if you haven't heard of it, you can download it completely free from Play Store. It's based on Unreal Technology and you have two possibilities: either walk around the beautifully modelled city/castle and landscape or start a benchmark, which will automatically take you throughout the whole scenery and measure your FPS.
If you are interested, you can post your results here and write informations about your current ROM so we can compare results between different ROM's.
Phone: Rooted, Unlocked, CyanogenMod 10.1 16/4/2013 Nightly with 3.1.10 kernel modified by CM
Benchmark Results: Average FPS: 42,1, Resolution: 1280x720, Performance level: High Quality
Little sidenote: Users confirmed boost of around 10 FPS with custom kernels (Nexus users, if I remember right). Can't wait for O4X custom kernels.
Cheers!

No, there isn't. Kernel sources were released just yesterday, it will take some time...although, I'm not quite sure what did CM team do with original kernel sources before they released their ROM...some minor modifications or something? Or maybe nothing? Benchmarks will show the answer

average fps: 44.3, resolution: 1280x720, performance level: high quality

Fresh stock ICS 10e 45.4 1280 x 720 High Quality

Absolutely nice! Seems like kholk has done some fine job on this kernel, and it's still in early alpha :highfive: Thank you for taking your time to post your scores! And keep us updated if you get higher/lower scores with future kernel updates!

Stock JB HK v20b, kholk's alpha kernel, gpu oc at 492MHz, cpu at 1.5GHz (564MHz gpu oc and 1.6GHz cpu oc doesn't work on my device... yet)

If I'm not wrong,we need a kernel with ics compatible ramdisk, enable HW acceleration, redisegned driver for touchscreen (Chat has qwerty and touchsceen, right?) drivers for flashlight (acei has flashlight) and drivers for camera (acei has 5 MPX camera)
I think that is very hard to port,or impossible....

Madness problem as the system only already 900mb
Even to slim down as maximum it will not be able to run on the galaxy low end device as the internal storage of the BCM devices is around 16x~190mb.

[DEV][Kernel][2013.04.30] Experimental Ace kernel for JB

Linux kernel 2.6.37.
It is a spin-off from Erik's kernel (which is a spin-off from TheWisp's etc.).
What's different?
[2013.04.30]
- new UHID driver, downported from Linux 3.x. Checked against a bluetooth keyboard - and it works ok.
[2013.03.21]
- default CPU freq governor is Interactive
- new CPU freq governor from Erasmux, H3ROS and C3C0, which is called SmartassH3. It is a modification of the SmartassV2 governor.

Re: [DEV][Kernel] Experimental Ace kernel for JB
Runs great, but the smartassh3 governor is laggy in transisions
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2
That's why I'm suggesting Interactive (set as default), and the new one is for the tests
AW: [DEV][Kernel] Experimental Ace kernel for JB
So when smartassh3 is not working and interactive is already included in all jb kernels, whats the sense of this kernel? no offense
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Installed in PAC 20.1.0 and running smartassh3, so far without suspension, running smoothly, we'll see if the battery can withstand. THX
1. It IS working, and needs tests and maybe some improvement. Note the "experimental" word. It is for those, who have a will to do this.
2. It is in development, there will be new things in the future. If you won't start, you won't go anywhere...
Nice Work..!! :good:

I think SmartAssH3 has better battery consumption
By "better consumption" you mean lower or higher?
