Wirefly : Estimated ship date:Awaiting Inventory - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Talked to a supervisor and they are waiting on the shipment.
Once they receive the phones it takes about an hour to ship out.

Umm, this was posted on Wirefly's official Facebook -
"**HTC One Preorder Update** We’re as excited as everyone about the launch of the new HTC One!!! Just wanted to let everyone know that we’ve got our order in and will begin shipping the Glacial Silver model as soon as they are arrive at our distribution facility. As always, we’ll ship the phones out in the order in which they were placed.
We still don’t have confirmation when Sprint will be releasing the Stealth Black model. We’re in contact with them daily and will let everyone know what we know as soon as we know it. If you’ve preordered the Stealth Black model from us and want to switch to the Glacial Silver, simply contact customer service and they’ll gladly make that change. Thanks again for shopping with us. We greatly appreciate your business and hope to be shipping your new HTC One very soon!!"
If I had to bet money I'd say early customers will get an email tonight with their shipping info.

Just writing what they told me at 4:38 P.M.

Yeah, if come Monday they can't even say what day they will be getting their inventory, I will be cancelling real quick.

I've been searching google constantly for updates and didn't even think to check Wirefly's Facebook, haha.
I really hope Patrick was only talking about current orders and not pre orders.

Me too.
I ordered on the 5th.

I just called Wirefly and talked to Maria, she couldn't give me any date or timeframe for when they'd be getting their inventory. Thought I'd try my luck and demand that the activation fee be waived since the Best Buy in my town shows it's in stock at the store and I have the $50 off any phone deal there, but she wouldn't waive the activation fee no matter what. I ended up cancelling my order and I'm gonna head down to Best Buy right now, good luck to you all!

Yea, that's what she told me, but best buy's upgrade fee is only $18, so I'm only paying $12 more to get my phone now, which is worth it to me.

Facebook update:
**HTC One Preorder Update #2** We hate it when things don’t go according to plan. That's what I figured.
Not bad though. I got the phone for $119 -$100 HTC rebate = $19. Now with the $20 G.C.. I get paid $1 for the phone.

NIce! Now, if we can just get the Newegg orders to do the same...

Contacted them today and they are giving a $20 gift card or the ability to upgrade your shipping, but not both.
They should get it early next week.
I tried going to 2 Best Buy, but they can't price match mobile phones.

Guys ,
One of my good friends is a manager at gamestop.
Fact 1: Preorders are first order reserved first order received. YOU DON'T GET TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE BY PAYING OFF THE ORDER. That idea is fing retarded and flat out incorrect. NO ONE would preorder anything if that was the case.
Fact 2: only the people who preordered in the first wave I.e. the day it was up/first allotment filed are for sure getting the 25$ google play gift cards. That is why that offer is no longer actively listed on the website.
Fact 3: The first wavers get the pads first and it WILL be before august, possibly this week. But as of this afternoon, 2pm, my friend had no date and no shipments showing. This means nothing as he pointed out he expects to hear nothing until it is in transit.
Fact 4: Gamestop will be taking Nook Colors for trade in credit, BUT no prices are set yet, and they may not be setup in time for usage towards the Nexus.
Thanks,
Adan

The way gamestop handled the Transformer Prime launch was, each store had an allotment of 5 tablets. Once those were sold and picked up, then they had to await availability for another allotment. No one got their Tabs on time, and once the initial shipments were done, people had to wait months for availability on it. It was that way for all retailers actually.
It was entirely the fault of ASUS.

I can now confirm that the dates GameStop are giving people are just estimated dates and not the actual date you will be receiving your Nexus 7. I emailed them last night asking if the dates were estimates and this was the reply I received:
"Thank you for writing to us at GameStop.com
The current release date for this item has not been announced. Keep in mind release dates are set by the manufacturer and are subject to change at anytime without notification. We recommend keeping a watch out on our website for any updates to the product."
"If you have additional questions, we are here for you. You can respond to this email, or if you prefer to speak to someone directly, you can reach us 7 days a week 8am to 8pm at 800-883-8895."
I decided to further investigate by speaking to a GameStop employee on the phone. The employee I spoke with was very helpful and polite and she asked someone who was higher-up than her about the release dates that us who pre-ordered at GameStop have received. She told me that the dates we were receiving were estimates and that if they had the tablet any sooner we would be receiving an email or text message depending on where we ordered.
So I'm glad I cleared this up and I'm really hoping that I don't have to wait until August to get this tablet in my hands!

I have heard varying dates, from the 31st to the 7th, seperate waves of shipping, and other odd practices.
Does anyone have any solid data, or reasons for the two week delay compared to play?

Honestly, I don't think that GameStop even knows. They probably just gave the 31st date when the estimate was 2-3 weeks. Now that some people have reported that it might be 3-4 weeks from Google Play, they probably pushed the order back again. I think that they'll probably have it earlier than the 31st for the people who pre-ordered in the first wave. It's probably just to be safe.

Nexus 7 Pre-Order Severly Borked by Google!

We have heard that the first wave of Nexus 7 devices shipped on 7-13-2012.
NOTE of Afterthought: Remember that high-volume retail distribution is not a new business challenge. Thousands of organizations have already tackled this specific business challenge, and any one of them could have been consulted. My professional opinion is that Google failed due diligence, by being unprepared to distribute the Nexus 7 in high volumes. ( Google would have had warning and time to notify UPS given high pre-order volumes as well, so there is no good excuse for their lack of planning. )
My frustration is that an order placed on June 27th at 5:31pm PT did not ship on 7-13-2012, in the first wave of devices shipped. Google's agents expressed that they "hope" it will ship on Monday the 16th of July.
It does not even matter what the problem is on Google's end. There is no excuse good enough. I pre-ordered the very first day, and my device should have been one of the very first to ship via reasonable FIFO order fulfillment practices. As further insult I also cannot cancel the order, to buy a device that is already available locally.
As a resolution, I now expect Google to expedite my order immediately with overnight delivery. If they do not have expedited or high-priority order fulfillment, then Google can compensate me financially by refunding the charges for shipping as well as the accessory cover.
Whatever gains I could have expected by pre-ordering have been negated by Google's error. The issue is further aggravated because a host of buyers have received ship notifications, or even their devices today, Friday 13th of July, 2012.
I have a very reasonable expectation that ALL orders placed on June 27th should have been shipped on 7-13-2012's first wave. The only reason it would not have, is because Google made a human, system, programming, or logistics error.
Meanwhile, I have not been charged, nor have I received any ship notification for my device. I did everything I was supposed to do, but the implicit expectation for 'First in, First out' delivery of a pre-order was not met by Google. That leaves me questioning why exactly did I bother to pre-order from Google at all?
Even Google's own customer service agent and the service supervisor were surprised to see my order had not charged, nor shipped yet, given my order date.
One way or another, make this right Google, for everyone in the same boat! Chime in if you have had similar experiences or problems.
UPDATE - Google Reps Provide a "Reason"...
As of about 2:15am CT, Google did have a reason why my package had "not shipped":
According to Google Customer Service, the overwhelming volume of orders shipping today had exceeded UPS' ability to receive them.
While that seems a very reasonable explanation on the surface, it still leaves a lot to worry about.
Google has stated that they will ship all pre-orders over the next 3 business days. That is the 13th, 16th and 17th of July, 2012.
Given this explanation, UPS and Google have some catch-up to do for Day 1 already.
So how will Google get all remaining orders shipped in the next 2 business days if they could not even get all 'Day 1' packages received into UPS systems?
Seems to me like someone, or several people really screwed this up by failing to think ahead and prepare accordingly.
You could argue that Google never did retail distribution before, but:
Google has plenty of strategic retail partners they could have asked for advice. There are thousands of internet retailers out there that could have been used as a model for how to handle the high-volume logistics challenge. Google simply did not seek out the knowledge. Ironic behavior from a company that is all about smarter ways to use information and knowledge.
When you ordered it surely you knew it would ship mid July. Its not mid July until next week. I'm 100% positive you'll get yours before Thursday next week. Just have some patience, shipping was never an exact science and you don't know what exactly could have held back shipping (if even) . Just be happy you're getting one.

Let me post a scenario for you to consider:
If you are first in line for the most awesome ride at disney world, and they suddenly started pulling everyone from the back of the line, and putting them on ahead of you. How would you feel about that.
Now imagine Google just did the same thing by prepping and labeling pre-orders for shipping since 6-27-2012. As all the orders came in, the oldest orders are stocked "in the back' of a warehousing facility. Fast forward to 7-13-2012, and the packages that they can physically access to ship are the newest arriving orders, not the oldest ones that got there first.
It is a legitimate question of Google's business rules, practices, and logistics for a high-volume retail scenario. This is not a new business concept by any means, and should have been anticipated.
I think people need to seriously chill out about the whole thing. The internet has gone a little crazy over what will amount to having to wait an extra day or two for an electronic gadget. If that is the worst of the worries in your life then consider yourself very lucky.
There is a sticky for such discussions.

HTC One Pre-order newegg

so for those who have bad experience with wirefly and are looking for a cheap alternative for pre-ordering the HTC One newegg is doing a pretty decent pre-order for new/upgrades in both black and silver variants.
http://wireless.newegg.com/ecommerce/phones/?filterbybrand=208&referringdomain=newegg
in retrospect its a slight price difference being 129.99(newegg) vs 119.99(wirefly)
with their TEP versions being similar pricing
newegg -
$69.99 - Gold Device Protection - billed annually View Details
$7.49 - Platinum Device and Data PLUS Protection - billed monthly View Details
wirefly-
$6.99 - Gold Device Protection - billed monthly View Details
$69.99 - Gold Device Protection - billed annually View Details
additionally newegg does include free next day shipping vs wirefly's free standard
I for one will likely to go with the newegg route pending they are still offering it this friday. as i've had some issues in the past with wirefly.
Already wrote this in another thread, but I just wanted to throw this out there. Newegg Wireless and Wirefly are both run by Simplicity LLC, so you will be dealing directly with Simplicity by pre-ordering through either site. Newegg doesn't actually run through own "wireless" site. Simplicity technically "owns" the site, uses their name, and probably gives them x percentage for using their name and advertising. You can find more information on both websites.

damn thanks for that bit of information, it seemed weird the pre-order looked almost exactly like each other but that makes far more sense
Pre-ordered from newegg earlier today (don't know if im going to keep it over my note 2).. and now my order status says awaiting inventory... don't know if thats normal or they're low on stock.. guess I'll wait and see if it updates as it gets closer to release
So these are supposed to ship on the 19'th, correct? If that's the case, the 'next day' delivery service isn't going to mean much, as the 19'th is a Friday and the next business day is the 22'nd.

They have actually since changed their policy to read "ships when available" instead.
If they do ship on 4/19 though, next day service means you would receive your phone on Monday, while their standard 2-3 (business) day shipping would mean you could receive your phone as late as Wednesday. So it's still technically an improvement!
I ordered the 32GB black and it's since changed from "Ships When Available" to "When Pigs Fly". /s
Anyone else notice the black version isn't even listed any more? I'll be glad if I get it by the end of the month if not by the end of summer. Meanwhile, I will keep checking this thread and lurking in the main HTC One forum.
Edit: Just got an email right after I posted this from whereismyorder.com that the Black is delayed. They will switch me to Silver if I reply. Not sure what I am going to do.
This cache can be cleared, but you must do it manually. This bug can only be fixed with an update from HTC, will they release one?
Great Find!
Thanks OP! Ordered mine yesterday. I originally placed my order on 4/6 through the email that I got from htc, which was actually through Letstalk.com, but I cancelled it as soon as I saw this from Newegg.
I even got the Otterbox Commuter Case and it was still about $30 cheaper than going directly through htc. Great find, thanks!
Fyi. Newegg uses wirefly for their phone service. Your still buying from wirefly.

Tru,
But when I clicked on one of the privacy policy links it went to the wirefly site.
I thought it was ironic the op was complaining about wirefly but in the end it's all run by the same company.
thank for your information
thank you
pre-ordered one for my sister as a gift
Anyone receive shipping info
I asked Newegg support when I might expect to see it ship. They said they are expecting them to arrive at Newegg on the 19 and ship from their warehouse within 24hrs. Not sure how accurate this is, you'd think they'll want customers to be able to get the device when it launches...

I didn't use Jump but I did order the phone online.... I called customer service before hand to ask such question and was told that after I receive the phone I use a number off the box or receipt to claim gift.... At that time I can choose what I want...
But during the process of ordering there was no option for it....:good:

Okay, thanks. Seems if you order it as a first time customer, you can pick what you want during the order process - or so it seems.

I can't answer that.... I clicked the upgrade part so that's all I know.... Like I said I called Customer service before hand and it seems as though if you do it by phone you can say what gift you want but... they now implement a $20.00 "assistance fee" for doing it by phone....
I politely told the lady I don't want to pay the $20.00 and proceeded to do the transaction online... She was very helpful though and answered everything I asked so I do appreciate that...
You have to go to the Samsung promotions site when you have phone and receipt in hand to place your order.
SD card and Fit 2 will take up to 12 weeks for delivery.
Netflix is a digital code.
https://promos.samsungpromotions.com/galaxyoffer/
You need IMEI, MAC address and receipt from the device.
---------- Post added at 09:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:03 PM ----------
Oh yeah, and the promotion for the Fit 2 and SD card is limited to the first 250K then they substitute. . .
So when you get it, hop to it.

I also used JUMP via Web to place my preorder. There was no option for me to choose either, Hopefully there still Gear fit 2 available for me to redeem my gift.
I guess this must be the first time you guys have gotten any perks like this. ITs been this way for quite some time that you basically upload a copy of your invoice and use your IMEI number to process your order for samsung promotions. Also dont get too crazy thinking it may come right away generally it takes 4-6 weeks to receive promotional gifts
So far I have gotten netflix, wireless chargers, gift cards and gear vr. They will send it so dont get too nervous if you feel like you been waiting a while.
I just ordered the phone on jump on demand and the guy told me i wasnt gonna be eligible to receive the sd card or gear or netflix promotion with it. It was only available if i got it as a eip or bought full price. Sucks but still got it anyways.lol

With jump on demand you can only do it over the phone or in store upgrade. No online upgrade. For pre order just call tmobile and when it asks you to say what you are calling for just say representative. Tell them you want a jump on demand upgrade and to preorder a phone. And whenever you get the new phone just go to a tmobile store and return the old one. Really quick. Make sure you keeo the charger, they wont ask for it.
If the phone is already out then just go to any store and they will trade it for you. Also pretty fast. The cool thing is that you dont have to put any money down for any phone with jump on demand.
The only reason I didn't order it was because they had a 70 down plus tax on jump on demand. I kept asking if that was right because it didn't sound right. Guess they did have a money down thing for jod on the note 7 but got rid of it because people were complaining. Sucks because I would've ordered it last week. But it's cool I guess. I'll just order it today

I went ahead and paid the $70, then got a text two days later from T-Mobile stating that I could do it for no money down, all I had to do was call back in and they would change it for me and my monthly amount would go from $33.50 to $37.50. I went ahead and just left it alone as I didn't want to risk losing my place in the shipping line.

Question Free Pre Order Items in Canada?

Does anyone actually know how to get the pre order items? I pre ordered mine launch day through Bell, I just got it today and I'm super confused. I've spoke with Bell multiple times and they have no idea.
First call they told me I just bring my proof of purchase to any bell reseller and get the headphones and smarttag in hand at the store
BestBuy then told me I'm suppose to get a voucher from Bell and give that to Samsung online, and they are send directly from Samsung.
Bell then told me that I gotta wait for the phone to arrive, and use the Samsung Members app once I have the phone, and it will know it's an S21 Ultra and prompt me for the voucher, and then I can redeem it with Samsung to have them sent to me.
I now have the phone, registered with Samsung on my account, Samsung Members app installed, no prompt, no messages, no frums to fill out, nothing.
I'm now waiting for the new Bell SIM to activate so I can't call Bell back to ask why there's nothing on the app and what I should do, so, figured I would check here since I have time to kill while I wait for the activation to take place on my SIM
How do I redeem this preorder bundle? Has anyone in Canada actually got the headphones and smart tag doing a pre order through a carrier? Like, What? How does multiple people from the carrier itself not even know how to redeem their own offer?
UPDATE:
Talked to Bell again because the lady I spoke with prior, activated my new SIM on my brother's number (family account), so now I gotta wait for the new 5G SIM to come in the mail lol. The guy I spoke with this time I asked the same question, how do I get the headphones, and was super chill, told me straight up and just said, I'm going to be blunt here, we have no idea how to get them, the deal is offered with Samsung and all we know is Samsung is giving them out to people who bought from Samsung first, and once you can no longer preorder from Samsung, the carriers will get what's left of the bundles as a free for all for whoever can redeem the voucher first.
So directly from a Bell Employee, the preorder bundles are a scam if you bought through a carrier, Samsung is offering the deal through their store only until the preorder ends and then the chance of getting the preorder bundle when the preorders close is pure chance.
May the odds be ever in your favor..
I bought through Rogers and the attached came in the box.

Okay I didn't get that from Bell haha, I miss Rogers, we don't have that here anymore. It's only Bell, Telus, and a local company that took over for Rogers but you can't get every phone through them and their customer service is terrible and not 24/7.
EDIT:
I flashed the Official Samsung Unlocked Firmware on the SM-G998W, and when I opened the Samsung Members app, I was prompted for the E-Voucher and redeemed it. So this issue is with the Bell Firmware.
Bell also lied and told me I would get the matching colour the phone, but only the Black ones are for the promo.
Bell really became shady as hell recently. Legit false advertising from their reps cause I got the silver phone so I could get the silver headphones, straight up lied to me lol.
I got the pre order stuff from Bell.
Says on Bells website to get it from the Members app.
Went into Members app on phone, scroll down to benefit section. There is a small photo showing pre order e-voucher. Click that, brings up your code, copy to clip board. You then click the link to go to the store to use voucher.
First few times I did it, it showed the items out of stock. Tried it an hour or so later, no problem, added to card, put in the e-voucher code and balance is zero. Fill out shipping details and poof your good.
Got mine through Telus and it's exactly what Rosco said, go into your Samsung Members app, look for offers and there will be a coupon.
Go to Samsung.com and add the two items, drop the coupon code in at checkout and voila, order placed.
now if they would just ship them lol. Been saying "preparing dispatch" since Saturday.

That is OK as, in theory, the coupon which came with my Rogers phone said delivery from 6-8 weeks from the date of redemption. I am just hoping that shipment will be done this week some time. A week before I ordered a wireless charger from Samsung and it was shipped on the first business day (a Monday) from somewhere in Ontario via Purolator Express and was delivered before noon on Tuesday in Montreal, despite stating "standard shipping". I am hoping that we will get an advice of shipment close to 5 pm today.

Thanks for the heads-up. However looking at mine (Is yours the same?) I too see the "Processing" but it is no longer "Preparing despatch". This is almost retrograde as preparing despatch to me would be packing the items, preparing waybill etc. Processing sounds like some earlier step.

I still believe preparing dispatch is better. If they are really serious about the preparing dispatch advice then it should ship latest tomorrow but perhaps this evening. But what do I know?

I know it is bad form to reply to your own post but obviously I was clueless as to Samsung's shipping procedures. Looking at the Rogers' website, it appears they are still offering the promotion until the end of February. It would appear that sales are hardly off the wall. That leads me to believe that, as they advised on the promotion, this may take weeks before the items are shipped. This makes sense from a logistical point of view. People have 2 weeks to return their phones. How do they handle the situation of people receiving the bonus items and returning the phone? One would think relatively easy but you have two parties involved here, Rogers and Samsung and communication may be a bit broken. So they decide they will let a good time pass and it will be clear who kept their phones and who returned them.
sometimes you just end up with the free item. That has happened to me in the past when I returned a pixel to google. I still got the preorder bonus weeks later.
I preordered through samsung which I can't fully recommend doing if you are paying in installments as they terms mention a potential monthly fee for going that route. I ended up getting it outright but the buds and tag came with the device. When I got the note 20 the preorder process was a bit broken (got through telus) they told me I had to go into the store, the store told me I had to order online.
Hopefully your stuff shows up soon.

Oh yes. Not sure to whom that was addressed. From the members app I pasted the coupon into the store and everything went normally. This was the week before last. It has, however, been stuck on preparing dispatch for myself and everybody else who purchased this phone through a Canadian carrier. I was just wondering when they will actually ship.
Yeah I'm still waiting, still says preparing dispatch
Just a follow up, hasnt changed. I did a live chat to inquire...may be waiting some time if true lol
We have requested for the product to be shipped. Right now it's in the preparation stage.
However, shipment of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series 5G bonus is expected to take between 6 to 8 weeks from the date that you redeem your E-Voucher on samsung.com/ca.
