As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experiemental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

found 1 crash , after touch the back button rapidly system UI crash,
hang on vellamo HTML5 benchmark & the phone going very hot, must push power button & vol + to turn off the XZ
i think it's the CM bug, same with other CM base build for XZ, and the overheat services doesn't appear on running prog like stock rom to prevent overheat

Here is my battery status. Not too bad for me.

ROM looks really good and runs pretty well.
A few FCs after the flash though (gallery,settings, etc.).

By MP3 I mean music files. Yes, I got the same bug and crash. After a few reboots, 4 or 5 times, it seems working normally with Apollo.

As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

Wow, great concept. Always loved the feature set of CM and theme of MIUI and wished they were combined (plus, Nexus S can't multitask well when running a heavier rom like MIUI). Do add in a note on anything that non-developers can do - docs/guide, promotion etc. Always willing to help.

This ROM is promising. So will definitely wait and try the 4.2.1 as soon as it is released.

Go to settings -> about phone -> Avatar Updates. Refresh once. Gapps can be downloaded via OTA.

Search with "gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip". There is some other version with gapps minimal, that may not give search bar and someother things in it. try gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

A 4x3 weebo widget can be added in homescreen. It displays current location and recent actions taken by weebo. This list is updated whenever there is location change or any actions are performed by weebo.

Removed cell-Id display from recent events logs. Remove cell-Id entries from recent events list shown in weebo.
Changed location tracking time options from locations page. Put a "recommanded" text for 4 hours option and removed "5 minutes" tracking time.

Its not MiUi ROM. Its a CM 10.1 based ROM where we bring the look and feel of MiUi. Give it a try.

It is not a MiUi ROM. This is a CM10.1 ROM which has MiUi themes. As of now there are 70 themes and we are adding more.

Hey, currently using MIUI on my d2tmo and I'm about to sell it,since it's cracked and a friend wants it, then buy a Mako. Didn't see any actual MIUI ROMs for this device, and this is the closest. I have a question though, is it possible to convert .mtz files in a way that they can be incorporated into these kinds of themes?

Rocking this rom, very smooth. The only thing i didn't like was how big the Bazooka launcher app launcher icon is, but i love how Bazooka open app animation is.

As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experiemental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

Changed location tracking time options from locations page. Put a "recommanded" text for 4 hours option and removed "5 minutes" tracking time.

I guess it requires old bootloader as it is mentioned to be based on CM10.1

slow download....but i sincerely wish and pray that this is not another JELLYBAM....no support from the developer after release.....

You didin't stated what bootloader it rely on and i recommend you to take as base pengus77's CM10 as a base if possible. Androids above 4.2 is so buggy...

Sorry i don't know which bootloader my team used. I was trying to contact a few of them but all are offliine. I will get back to you.
It is a CM10.1 based ROM. So which ever bootloader you use for CM10.1 should work fine with this.

If it is based on nightly release than it is for old bootloader, and the size ls 150 MB so I am 99% sure that it is for the old bootloader.

This ROM is for the oldbl, but your sentence doesn't make any sense at all.
The rom size isn't related to the bootloader at all. That the Stock ROM or Jellybam contain 500mb of stuff doesn't mean this applies to all ROMs.
Check out my PA ROMs, both bootloader versions are ~150mb.

As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

Really appreciate the official support.
Would just like to know if the initial port by darklord had battery issues because after changing to avatar ROM, my friend has had her battery drain quicker than her previous ROM (I believe half a day less)
No tweaks was done to battery usage. Any tweak need to be done in settings?

Could you get her Screen On time? Most, if not all i9100G ROMs have screen on time of 3hours - 3hours.30 minutes at max before the battery gets drained all the way

I'll try to help her check when we meet. As for the themes, did I understand it correctly that MIUI themes only work with this ROM after being converted to be compatible? So you can't just download a MIUI theme and it will work straight out of the box?
How do we go about converting such themes? My friend was hoping to have this theme: Pink Theme

I believe the development team for Avatar has their dedicated Team converter person who's doing this. You may suggest the theme at their feature request section here : http://avatarrom.uservoice.com/forums/193652-avatarrom-feature-request . And if they like the look they'll convert it to Avatar ROM format. Good day

We are working on few pink themes for girls. Will get an update soon. Today there will be an update for all the existing themes which has graphics fix for SMS, lockscreen etc.

SMS Layout
I cant seem to get the dark theme switch over, I checked the but it always stays the light color. If I install other themes will that change the colors at least? Is it possible to use another texting app to get a different layout completely (any recommendations if that works would be greatly appreciated)?

Look folks, you can see from the OP that its "Merged with CM 10.1 M3 build( 14th April )" so it will have the same bugs as that build unless otherwise stated, thats why there is no changelog.
@OP, it would be useful if you pointed this out as a lot of people will spam this dev thread with these quesions unless you spell it out in the OP

if you are updating from an older version of Avatar to 2.8b without a wipe. You will have to clear data of Bazooka Launcher
Under settings, Apps -> all apps -> bazooka -> clear data...
If you are moving from an old Avatar build to 2.8b without a wipe
Try clearing data of Bazooka
Drag down Status bar -> Toggles page -> Settings -> Apps -> All -> Bazooka -> Clear data

Avatar Team is proud to present the second update for Theme Editor tool. Based on the feedback, we have added option to edit avatar themes directly from the tool. There is no need to extract the theme apk from phone, copy to desktop and edit it.
