WTH is market enabler? And what Rom are you using.

Did you try to uninstall or force close Play Store from settings and clear cache before using the VPN? I suppose when you first do what I said and then connect to a VPN app, afterwards open Play Store it should be the country your VPN's IP is connected to.
Force Close Play Store from settings, clear cache, activate VPN, open Play Store.
Try it, it should work.
Edit: it works, can download Netflix now etc.

For someone who mentions using the search function in your signature I expected better than this. Market Enabler has been around for a very long time.

I tried but still no luck
Which VPN are you using?
Also will it make a difference if using the built in VPN rather than an application Ex. tunnel bear

That's really strange, it worked for me. I know it's not ideal but you can download the APK file from the net and then install it. Drawback is that you'll have to update manually.
Try restarting your phone and then do the process I told you before. And if you're willing to, try resetting the phone and then do the process.
Good luck.

When you say 'not working' what do you mean?
You could try sideloading 'market unlocker' and setting it to some other country.

There is a trade embargo between the United States of America and countries deemed as "rogue countries" (Sudan, North Korea, Iran etc..). iTunes used to not work in Sudan either but I found a way to bypass it by using a vpn or proxy server. I used ultrasurf to get into the iTunes Store and it thought I was in California. Until America stops bullying our country this is the way things will have to be, ya habib.

Dammit, i just bought a nexus 4 and nexus 7, are u telling me i cant use them in sudan?? :crying:
Solution for countries where googleplay not supported
I've heard that you can bypass the problem of not being able to access googleplay in countries like sudan. Something to do with custom VPN (or APN not sure which) to make it seem like you are in another country. Anyone know about this??
You can either use this app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582422
or Use "Market Enabler"

Google search incompatible!?!

After the recent update to google search, it has become incompatible with our galaxy mini. Youtube has the same problem. But there is a separate thread for youtube here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846009 . If some one has the last working version, please post here. I recently switched back to stock rom from cm10 (great rom anyway!) by TheWhisp and now as I had to wipe data and cache, I am having a very old version. If someone has the last working version please post it here. Any help will be appreciated and thanked.

Yeah I agree with you. But maybe they will resume support if we do a mass protest .

What is 1mobile market?
they are supported no need to protest
Google play include many criteria in determining app compatibility and sometimes one or two thing don't meet the requirement and server thinks that mobile is compatible but in actual they works
1mobile market is another app store for android like amazon.com which only contains free apps, it do not check for compatible so no problem in downloading

Playstore not working

Hi! all. My playstore is not working. When i launch playstore, it doesn't load anything just the dark grey background with the message "No Connection RETRY". When i click retry, the screen just flash white quickly & return to the same screen. I tried to randomly search for an app but nothing comes out. I noticed that the option "My Apps" is also missing. Any idea how to fix this?

Make sure when you launch it you have fully working data connection or wifi.
If it doesn't work, settings> apps >all> Google play store and clear cache and data. And try again.

Uninstall the the play store updates? Or try finding a play store apk and go from there? If not
Then do a full wipe and repair with Sony update service. So odd that only this app is having issues.

Download it from PlayStation website, i did that, and install it by transfering APK file to your phone, than run it.
Of course, before that delete existing app.

A new play store apk was uploaded some where in one of the xda forums two weeks ago. Head over there and see if you can get that one installed. May fix the problem.

Did you disable background data for it? It might complain if that is turned off.
Are you from Belgium?

[Q] Pandora Outside US

Dear All
Probably a NOOB question.
How do I use Pandora outside the US? on my Xperia Z? Anyone been there done that?
Download the app ORBOT from the play store install it then download PANDORA. ORBOT hides that apps from a specific area so they work. I have it on my phone too. Of course u need to be rooted that ORBOT works.

Use a VPN based in the US. Sign up to Pandora. Get the app. You'll have to connect via the VPN every time you need to listen to Pandora.

Orbot won't guarantee a US IP address. Using a TOR client can give you an anonymous IP address in any country.
Yes I know but he asked for something to make Pandora Radio work outside the USA and ORBOT does work. I life in Germany and use Pandora Music what doesn't work in Germany or anywhere besides the USA and I can only use it when ORBOT is also running. It is great.

paid apps not working

I have my ouya rooted. I downloaded an app called usb otg helper which works nice mounting all my harddrive in different formats. But the free version wont auto mount only the paid version. I tried using the paid version but I get an error message saying it cant connect to server. Hope theres some trick to get this to work. I just sideloaded the app through es file manager.
If it's an app that was paid for on the play store, the developer can build in drm to authenticate with Google that it's been paid for by the currently logged in Google account. Currently it's not possible to install Google services on the Ouya, you're out of luck till that happens.... Sadly a pirated version of the paid app may have that drm stripped.

They're not really "hacking" the play store if you actually read the thread. They are trying to get the play store to work on the ouya so you could use paid apps like the one you asked about here
